The Rookery at Marco, the resort private golf course for JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort, offers 18 holes of championship golf set within a stunning natural habitat. Designed by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy of Jacobsen and Hardy Golf Course Design, this 7,100-yard course winds through lush fairways, shallow wetlands, and features immaculate paspalum turfgrass.
Challenging yet rewarding, the course includes receptive greens, strategic water features, and unforgiving sand traps—all surrounded by native wildlife such as bald eagles, alligators, and blue herons. *Access is exclusive to guests of JW Marriott Marco Island and The Members Club at Marco.

Had an amazing experience here all of the Cart and Pro shop staff were super helpful and friendly. The Pro-Shop had everything you could possibly need at a very reasonable price. On top of all that the course and practice facility were amazing. I would definitely recommend becoming a member or playing the course if you can.

This is one JW Marriot's Golf Courses, the Rookery and Hammock Bay. The Rookery is located in the Development called Fiddler's Creek. The course is extremely nice. There is a nice clubhouse and a restaurant to have lunch. A must play golf course in Naples or Marco.

The most beautiful golf course. We were allowed to go to the club house and have coffee on the terrace. We sat there drinking in The surroundings. The ladies behind the bar were extremely friendly and helpful. It was an oasis of calm and so peaceful sitting there .

Belongs to the JW Marriott Marco Island. It is however not on-site but approx. 9 miles away which means a 20-minutes drive.

In gated community, many houses along the fairways.
Flat, a lot of water, many bunkers.
Many island greens i.e. peninsula greens.
Fast greens.
Attractive course.
Nice clubhouse.

Beautiful course and facility. Dissapointed by the pace and no starter...2-somes were stacked up on the front 9 and 5 groups on 7 when we rolled up.
$240 was worth it compared to other higher end clubs in the area this time of year.

The layout of the course. We can be quite challenging from the tips, and certainly from the blue tees. My latest visit showed the course was in pretty poor shape with many, many weeds in the fairways and generally unattractive conditions. The greens rolled smoothly and well but overall it was a day of fairly slow play and unattractive fairways and tee boxes.

Played here on a very hot August day but the course is great. Plays longer than other courses I’ve played in the area and has some beautiful views. Greens are fast and true but not large, so accuracy on approach is a must.

August 2023: Still beautiful and fun to play! This is what a resort course should be: scenic, very good conditions with moderate challenges and plenty of cool bottle water throughout the course.
October 2021: A beautiful and playable resort course with wide-open fairways and big undulating greens. Personally, I like its sister course in the same area better in terms of scenic and challenges. It's a course that won't make you painful of playing except your wallet.

I played this for the first time today, and I was very very very disappointed. I have played 20 other courses in the Naples area and this is by far the worst one. Aside from it, not being manicured at all there was cut grass clippings in all of the roof, even making it hard to find your ball at times. I would not recommend this course to anyone.

Beautiful place, nice golf course view. Limited breakfast menu but food was good. Blueberry pancakes didn't have many blueberries but were light and fluffy. I had the veggie omelet with home fries. Home fries weren't great, just plain ol frozen potatoes. Not worth the calories. Coffee was good, service very nice and friendly. Too bad it's not more accessible to the public

Are school did golf fundraiser and the course is beautiful. The food was amazing! But the best part was the golf carts! They make a ring noise when you enter a new hole and you can play music on them too! If your looking for a fun day with family over the holidays I would recommend The Rookery at Marco Island

A great resort course that is maintained perfectly. Greens rolled true and were hard to read. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the cost. I didn't think it merited the $270 green fees. Other than that I'd come back (if someone else was buying) haha
