Leaving this here hoping to help others with their decision when selecting an Elite program in the Tampa Bay Area. We wasted an entire season here, waste of time and most importantly money. This is a very small gym with currently only three elite divisions. The division my daughter needed was offered last season but unfortunately not enough athletes to be offered this season, instead she was offered her choice of a placement on a lower level team or a higher level team where she was told she would not have a prominent role in the routine, we felt neither option fostered growth. If you’re looking to continue growing in the sport, I would encourage you to look elsewhere. There are several great gyms in close proximity with amazing programs!

Coming from the gym down the street from here where the owner and coach is a narcassist mean and rude. Where if you are new the parents don't speak to you and the kids don't speak to your child either. When we came for the evaluations I my daughter and I were in shock when both the parents and the kids said hi and smiled at us!! 1000% better atmosphere. Everyone is nice and makes you feel welcomed. My daughter has already gotten 3 new tumbling skills and the comp season hasn't even started! She hasn't learned a new tumbling skill in couple yrs cause other gyms don't teach them unless you pay for privates. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is they practice ALOT! I highly recommend this gym. I hope they continue to grow!!

This is my daughter’s first year cheering here and she was so welcomed by her new team mates and staff ! Can’t recommend this gym enough for serious competitive cheerleading !

Yesterday, February 23rd. 2023 at about 4:30 PM I went to this gym asking for information, I could have wanted to enroll a family member as I have all my life loved gymnastics, but I had hurt myself doing a gymnastic excercise and needed a personal recomendation for a specific sport doctor or to know where they sent students if they get hurt.

The woman at the reception answered me in a rough way that they didn't recoment doctors and that I needed to leave. I was surprised and appalled by her manners, I answered that I knew but I needed a personal idea from a professional because I didn't want to go to the wrong doctor, so I asked to speak to the trainer. She again answered me in a rough way and asked me to speak outside the facility, we went outside and I tried to explain my innocent intentions and my concern for my health. She said the trainer was bussy and it was not possible that I could talk to him. I said that I would wait untill he finished his job, then she said that could not be because she needed to see him after work, and he would talk to her only, she desperatly asked me where my car was and asked me to leave. I politely said that I would wait outside untill he finished. She said he would finish by 8:00 PM. So I left.

I felt treated like if I was a burglar. I had been to other gymnastic gyms before looking for second opinions and everybody else have received me with a smile in the heart, good will, and desires to help me. But this woman, needs to learn what politeness, courtesy and respect mean.
I have tried to contact a superior but I haven't found how.

Great Competitive Cheer Organixation. We had tried several gyms in the area but just didn’t get the quality leadership and coaching we were seeking. A new job moved our family from Dallas to Tampa last year and top on the list of priorities for our daughter was to find a new cheer gym to call home. We visited several gyms and are beyond thrilled to be part of the Stingrays Tampa family. Our daughter has expanded her skills more than I ever thought possible in only 8 months! My daughter has been cheering for almost two years after leaving a competitor gym. The owner is beyond amazing, always extremely welcoming to anyone who walks through the door. The entire staff Lori, Tami, Krissy....etc all are wonderful. The coaches are soooo knowledgable and 100% want to make your child better. I cannot say enough good things about this gym. One hundred percent recommend!

We recently relocated to Spring Hill. My daughter cheered for Top Gun Lady Jags. We wanted to find a gym where she would feel welcomed and comfortable. After visiting four different gyms we came across Stingray Cheer Tampa. On 11/2/18 we went to the gym and Chase & Donovan were so welcoming and made my daughter feel so comfortable and got her to work on skills by engaging her in drills and tumbling with her. The gym is clean and has a great setup and friendly staff!
