Great gym overall all but there was a couple things that need to be address. The gym was so hot today and only one of the four fans is working. You need to make sure the breakers are turned back on if there's a power outage otherwise it's very difficult for the staff to get up the ladder and reset the circuit. Also I'd recommend moving the scale up to the front. It's stuck back in the corner with no light you can't even see the numbers.

Been trying to cancel my membership since June 2024 once I lost transportation. Called multiple times to explain my situation and why I couldn’t come to sign to cancel . I asked could a email be sent they told me no . Finally spoke to a manger who told me he would cancel because he understands and said don’t worry . Months went by no more payments came out my account until Nov I started to see payments again . Called again and now they’re telling me I owe all this money and I can’t cancel until I pay the balance. Absolutely worst experience and they said the person I was communicating with no longer works with them so oh well basically what I was previously told . Asked for a corporate number they said they don’t have it and nothing can be done other than pay the fee. I haven’t stepped foot in that gym since June 2024. Disgusted at how I’m being treated !

This gym has everything you need for a workout! Super clean and very friendly staff who will answer any questions you might have from your membership to how to use equipment. Compared to the other gyms in the area (anytime, crunch) you truly get the most bang for your buck. For only $19.99 a month I get unlimited 24/7 access to multiple semi-private gyms, and I can bring a friend with me to workout during their guest hours. I would highly reccomend this gym to anyone in South Hillsborough county who’s tired of waiting forever for a machine at Crunch, or paying $40 a month for a barebones gym at Anytime. As a lifelong Ruskin resident, I am so grateful that there’s a gym of this quality down this way finally!

The Sun city/Ruskin location is ok I just don’t like it bc they’re always saying they hear weights slamming against the floor (whether it’s been me or other people lifting) and that’s false, on a deadlift you’re going to tap the weight slightly.. (been lifting for 15 years & I’m a certified trainer)..

Haven’t noticed this issue at any other gym in Tampa or the surrounding area. Makes working out here so uncomfortable!

If you train at real gyms I wouldn’t recommend .. I kind of feel like it’s targeted but we won’t even go there!

The WORST gym I have EVER been to.. the billing part is a scam!!.. i literally paid $58 to start my membership. Then to be told my guest has to leave by 9PM. The place there gets overly crowded with EVERYONE trying to get their guest in before then!.. we even had to take turns for certain machines.. which is ridiculous!!.. I expressed my concerns and was told I could find another gym.. KNOWING they are the only one so far in ruskin/sun city area. I asked for a refund but it was too late.. they charged me $80!!!!! For an annual fee that I’m not even going to be apart of AND want me to come in and sign to cancel and ALSO pay an additional $25 TO CANCEL.. this place is a joke!!. highly highly highly DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Had good experienced with this company until I attempted to close my account due to relocating. A full year later and they refuse to stop charging me $21 a month knowing full well I'm not even in the state. Great place and affordable. Always getting new equipment and keeping up with their current stuff. Don’t go at 5 pm on a weekday because that is their busiest time. Other that that, great place.
Also, being open for 24 hours is great.
However, the closing shift/late night gym goers do not understand how to put back the weights where they belong. Dumbbells are consistently not in the correct spot and other equipment is just left whenever. I would suggest some basic lamination labels on the dumbbell station to tell where each weight goes, like the Apollo Beach Worx.

Hendry Napoles at the front desk was extremely polite, professional, friendly thorough and accommodating during my time trying to cancel my membership. I attempted the process on July 31st at the Apollo Beach gym; but that turned into a nightmare as Cynthia at the front desk is very unprofessional, condescending and argumentative. She rather fight and belittle a member rather than politely assist. Thank you Hendry for getting me squared away as you know the meaning of customer service. Perhaps you can train Cynthia and even Jim English as his people skills are not much better.

Went in for a 3 day trial. Just moved to the area with the military. Person working allowed me to work out for the trial, which was far from nice. They had a large dance group take place in the main floor, speakers so loud I couldnt hear myself think or hear my partner.
Huge lack of sanitation stations, super spread out, and a few were out of towels even though it was middle of the afternoon.

The most comical part however is that they held my and my partner's drivers license at the front desk for the duration of our "free trial workout". Upon wanting to leave, I requested our licenses back, in which the woman working (different than the initial person who granted us access) said that because our IDs are from out of state (again, just moved here) that she would not be able to honor any free trial, that its for local residents only (we are, i tried to offer her my auto insurance card as proof), she then attempted to hold our licenses hostage unless we paid $10 each to work out LOL since we weren't allowed the trial, even though one of her own employees literally granted us access maybe 60-90 minutes earlier. Also, couldn't even hear what she said and she couldn't hear me either, as that hilariously loud dance class was taking place just feet away, in the open.

Place is kind've odd anyways. Had weird unsolicited pics of their guests on the TV screens rather than sports or the news or whatever most gyms have on the TV.

Awesome gym! My only issue here is that the super bright overhead lights are blinding when trying to bench press in the back. Mainly because you have to lay down flat it doesn't matter which of the 4 middle benches you choose from you will get crazy glare in your eyes once you finish your sets. I could bring sunglasses but it would be nice if the benches could be moved around a bit to where the lights are not beaming down on them.

I want to start by saying that this a great gym and that the environment is awesome to work out in. However I have decided to cancel my membership.

On Wednesday 04/03/2024 around the 5:00pm - 6:00pm hour I showed up and decided to do a back work out. I started with deadlifting.... There is a sign on the wall that says "do not drop the weight" which is a gym rule. They do not have the rubber plates which is why this rule is there, additionally the floor is not setup for it either so you need to be mindful. I was deadlifting 315lbs for sets of 10. I was holding on to the weight and setting the weight back down of course because of the flooring that is in this gym you will hear the weight even if you are diligent on trying to set the weight down.

Another person in the gym in boxing gloves tapped me on my shoulder while i was in the middle of a set which I might add is unsafe he should of waited when I finished. He pointed at the sign and said to me "no dropping the weight" I replied I'm not dropping the weight as I am holding it on to the weight and setting the weight down. He then began to sound like he was the authority so I asked him if he worked here. That ended the conversation.

Moments later MIRIAM who is one of the owners of the gym comes to talk to me about the same incident the other gym goer was talking to me about (interesting). MIRIAM said sir you cant drop the weight and I replied back saying Maam I'm not dropping weight in fact I'm willing to show you what I'm doing or you guys have cameras in here you can go look at what I was doing cuz I'm sure I was not dropping the weight.

MIRIAM replies back stating that she don't want to watch what I'm doing and that she does not need to see the cameras either. She said that I am dropping the weight if I can not handle the weight to go less weight. I again stated Maam I am not dropping the weight. She said but i can hear it! I was trying to explain further but MIRIAM was not wanting to hear what i wanted to say.

Conclusion: Rules are rules and I understand that they need to followed however if what i was doing is considered dropping the weight then the sign on the wall that says "no dropping the weight is misleading" I would suggest sign saying no deadlifting.
I felt uncomfortable with how i was spoken to and chose to leave the gym that day and not finish my work out. I am a business owner my self and like to support small businesses but I would have never spoken to a customer in the manner that you spoke to me and that is why I have decided to cancel my membership and go lift elsewhere.

I've been coming here since they opened the sun city location and I'm amazed at how much equipment still has loose nuts and bolts. We rely on gyms to provide a safe workout environment, but they can't be bothered to tighten nuts and bolts. Even new equipment that is added to the gym floor has loose hardware. It's crazy.

When I arrived, they kept me waiting multiple times as they were getting distracted taking photos and not doing their job. I have an Active and Fit Direct membership that allows me to work out at multulle facilities with no additional cost, but they wanted to charge me $15 for a plastic key tag that I would have literally used once. I've had this membership for months and finally making my health a priority. I'm a novice in the gym so I asked if there was a personal trainer and Rosie came highly recommended. I've only worked with her a few weeks but I see change in myself. I'm getting my body ready to take pictures! Most importantly reversing some health issues all at the same time! Had an amazing experience my first time going. Everyone was warm welcoming and the owner herself gave me a walk through of the gym. My friend invited me to try out this gym since she's been going for a few weeks and it did not disappoint. Everything was clean and well organized by section. We even got to try the free assessment with one of the personal trainers which really kicked our butts. I would recommend this gym to anyone I know.

It looks way nicer then all the other worx that basically need complete remodels so that’s a great start. There’s barely anywhere to stretch unless you want to give the people on the treadmills a show and be stretching basically where everyone walks…. or there is a teeny tiny space in the front corner that’s barely fitting two people. The cable row machine is also made for someone that’s a giant. I literally couldn’t do a row because as soon as I even leaned a few inches forward the weights were no longer suspended. Definitely needs to be fixed. My bf is 6 feet tall and thought that it was kinda long… I am 5’3 so the machine was useless to me. But again compared to the other worx where half the machines are broken and you feel like you need to bathe in boiling water after you leave it’s an improvement for sure.
