I can not say enough about our experience at Traditional Taekwondo of South Tampa, its owner, Traci and their staff.  I had been searching for a center that would be willing to work with my 12 year old son with Autism.  Since our first interaction, Traci has been so accommodating and truly interested in my son doing well, feeling comfortable, and succeeding. The instructors are very knowledgable and genuinely love what they do!  My son has been taking Taekwondo lessons for about 6 months and his instructor is doing an amazing job with him!  My son feels so confident and has gained much self esteem, which he needed. He just passed the test for his next belt and has displayed such a great sense of accomplishment, which is priceless!  Our experience here has genuinely had a huge positive impact on our son and our family!

I was first introduced to the Traditional Tae Kwon-Do Center of South Tampa by a friend who has been coming to the center for sometime now. I was initially skeptical at first just because i don't typically venture out of my comfort zone, but i soon found my home away from home. The team has been incredible and really made me feel at home. It has been a refreshing experience to see a team so upbeat, passionate, focused, and concerned for everyone's safety and success as i have not seen that in sometime now. I am super super happy with this whole traditional taekwondo staff from after school care to summer camp they are amazing they always have smiles on their faces they go above and beyond to help no matter what the situation my daughter has been going here since kindergarten she’s now going to fifth grade and from the very beginning from Miss Traci making a spot for my child due to the circumstances and even now making accommodations so that my daughter can continue to be a part of traditional tae kwon do is beyond amazing. The staff is always happy and willing to help. I called to get a refund on a double charge in a small amount. Not a problem; easy mistake. My son was attending summer camp, and we were double charged for a small add on. I received an email back stating that the owner just doesn’t understand what I’m talking about. Then she charges me AGAIN for an additional week of camp, a much larger amount, for a week of camp that we did NOT attend. In my opinion that is very bad business and poor customer service. I don’t want my son participating in classes where the main focus is haphazard revenue that isn’t even correct. The focus should be class content and customer service.

I enrolled my son for summer camp with NO previous experience in tae kwon do. In just the summer alone my son gained confidence and feels secure in his ability to protect himself if need be. I absolutely love this place. They have immensely assisted in the behavioral development of my son. He has ADHD and was having some behavior issues at school and home., We discussed with my son's pediatrician what route to take and she suggested to take our son to Tae Kwon Do. We enrolled our son shortly after that and ever since he has been a completely different child.
He is excelling in school, he has won 3 awards at school and we only halfway through the school year. His behavior is so much better he is starting to maintain self control. My husband and I have also flourished in our relationship due to a lot less tension due to our son's behavior. The instructors are amazing. the Owner is accomadating.
