They have a decent amount of space and equipment, but much of the equipment is worn down, and worse than that, some of it isn't bolted down and feels downright dangerous. If you are a casual gym-goer (think Planet Fitness) this might be fine, because many of the machines that ARE in good condition are the super simple machines designed so you can't hurt yourself. They only have 3 squat racks, which isn't too bad I guess. The decline machine is the one that isn't bolted down and I stopped using it because it felt like I was going to tip over. They probably need a couple more bench and incline bench machines as well.

Friendly staff, (Eman and Moses are like Kobe and Shaq from the 2000s, super friendly and helpful, very professional, great customer service) great music, parking is fine, they validate it for 1 or 1.5 hours, I forget. Low cost facility, great equipment, never crowded. This is the best gym in Miami, folks! Location is great!

Alright gym. Main thing I hate (and many others I know) is that the crew BLASTS music on speakers so obnoxiously loud. You can't even hear what's playing from your own headphones on your ears. Playing music is fine, but not screaming loud. It should be nice background, not distracting you. It's very trashy. This happens especially at night. Very disrespectful to people trying to workout.

This YouFit location at CocoWalk feels outdated and poorly maintained. Many of the machines and equipment are worn down, and it shows. For example, the bench press bars and incline bench bars are badly oxidized and rusty—to the point where they pose a real safety risk. They either need to be scraped down and cleaned properly or replaced entirely.
Another big issue is the limited number of 45 lb plates. There simply aren’t enough to go around, which makes it difficult to have a proper workout without waiting or walking around trying to find them. They really need to order more.
Cleanliness is also a problem. The equipment and free weights are very dirty. Every time you grab a barbell, dumbbell, or plate, your hands come away grimy. You pretty much need to wash your hands immediately after or wear gloves just to get through a session.
Another issue is the lack of gym etiquette among members. Many people don’t re-rack their weights—they’ll pick up dumbbells and leave them wherever they finished working out without even trying to put them back. While I understand this ultimately comes down to the members, the staff should be walking the floor more often to enforce these rules. Re-racking weights is basic gym etiquette and responsibility, but at this location, it’s almost nonexistent.
The atmosphere isn’t the best either. During peak hours, the music is blasting so loudly that even with noise-canceling headphones, it’s hard to hear your own playlist. This is unlike other YouFit locations I’ve been to and seems to be driven by a younger crowd that does whatever they want instead of following the standards.
Finally, customer service is disappointing. My interactions with staff have been mid to low quality. A few times I’ve asked questions, I was met with attitude or annoyance, which made me feel unwelcome.
✅ Overall: This gym has potential, but it needs serious improvements in equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and customer service. With cleaner facilities, safer equipment, more plates, and a more professional atmosphere, it could be a much better experience.

I've made efforts to be constructive and address the ongoing issue with the gym's music volume and selection. After a previous complaint, there was a brief improvement, and I even updated my review to reflect this. Sadly, we’re back to square one. Today, the music (mostly rap) was so loud I couldn’t even drown it out with my own headphones so at one point, I just had to take them off. Meanwhile, the staff seemed quite amused by the music choice and volume.
This isn’t just about 'one day' incident. Other members have complained recently as well, and nothing has been done. So I’m updating my review and escalating the complaint, because this level of disregard is unacceptable.

I wish I could get into the heads of so-called “management” and understand why they feel that blasting music to a level whereby gym-goers cannot even hear the music in their noise-cancelling headphones is in any way shape or form appropriate. Even after asking for the music to be turned down, minutes later it goes right back up. And judging by recent reviews, I am not the only person who feels this way. So, why incessantly argue this point and risk your job via escalation which is now my next step?

Unfortunately, gym etiquette here is completely disregarded. Free weights and equipment like bars and the leg press are regularly left loaded, and no one seems to care—including management, who makes no effort to enforce basic standards. If you use the weights, don’t re-rack them— no one does.
The atmosphere also leaves a lot to be desired. The music is consistently loud and dominated by gangster rap and reggaetón. If that’s your thing, great. But for those of us who remember the more laid-back, diverse Coconut Grove vibe, this place feels like a far cry from what it used to be.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at YouFitness in Coconut Grove. The manager on duty, Katia, was shockingly rude and unprofessional toward a customer, showing absolutely no respect or empathy. Instead of resolving the issue calmly, she escalated the situation with a hostile attitude and dismissive tone. This kind of behavior is unacceptable for someone in a leadership role. It reflects poorly on the entire establishment. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with Katia or the management here.

El peor gym que vas a poder ir . Esto no tiene nada que ver con las instalaciones si no del pésimo customer service que tienen. Tuve que pagar un año completo un gym que no utilice esperando a que en diciembre se finalice el contrato, luego en el sistema sale que yo hice la membresia online pero realmente fui a la sucursal y aparte no sale el nombre de la chica que me atendió. Este año aún siguieron cobrándome las cuotas mensuales y tuve que llamar a la sucursal , me dijeron que tenía que ir con ellos para cancelar , fui y el muchacho me dijo que no era así CLARAMENTE ellos no saben ni cómo asistir a los clientes. Me hicieron llamar a un número y cuando llamo para por fin cancelar la membresia me dice que me van a cobrar un mes más que no se reembolsa cómo si no fuera suficiente los 12 meses que me cobraron bajo “ contrato”. Cabe destacar que llame el mismo mes para cancelar este contrato. Y no había forma así que de que sirve que te lo manden por correo si una vez hecho igual no lo pueden cancelar. Si pudiera poner 0 estrellas LO HARÍA . No vayan a este gym o simplemente asegurarse por ustedes mismo de todo lo que vayan hacer ya que no existe guía ni ganas de ayudar.

’ve been going to YouFit for a while now, and I have to say it’s one of the best gyms around! The facility is always clean, the equipment is well-maintained, and there’s never an issue finding a machine, even during peak hours. The staff is super friendly and helpful, making it a welcoming environment for all fitness levels. I also love that they offer affordable membership options without sacrificing quality. I have been a faithful member of Youfit Coconut Grove for over 2 years now. I like the gym space and have particularly enjoyed the personal trainers I've worked with. They trainers are professional, capable, and caring.
That said, I was hurt and shocked today to see a screen that labeled me as a "rude member". I asked the manager Katia about it and asked to get it removed, as I have no idea what it refers to.
"It's an old note. You weren't supposed to see it. It's not possible to remove it," she said.
I explained, "I'm a person - an elementary school teacher, a stepmother. I come to the gym and either work out with a trainer or work out independently. I don't want to be misrepresented by such a cruel label."
I added, "What is this incident about, anyway? If it's on my file, can I understand what it refers to?"
"Stop talking. Stop repeating yourself," Katia responded. "I'll see what I can do," she added. In the past, when Katia has said that, she hasn't gotten back to me, so I doubt anything will be done. :(
I'm writing this here - and emailed corporate - with the hopes I will reach someone in Youfit's corporate department.
I found Katia's response hurtful and troubling for a few reasons:
1. She did not treat me as a paying customer - or as a human. There was no compassion, validation, or respect from her.
2. The screen was literally left out in the open - it was the gym's mistake, but Katia did not apologize. Furthermore, when I went with my trainer to book the next appointment, I saw the same screen again - Katia had taken no care to hide it.
3. I work out weekly at this gym, consistently. I have been paying for training for several years now. I've really formed meaningful relationships with all the trainers I've worked out with, including Melissa, Ronald, and Yasser. I keep to myself and share equipment with other gym-goers. I teach my students not to label people, and it's awful that this business does that--and leaves it out for all to see.
While I love the trainers, I'm really hurt by this comment and am considering cancelled my membership. I'm hoping that someone who can address this issue properly will reach out to me- I emailed their corporate email.
(P.S. One time, when some teens were asking me to get off equipment prematurely, I said I had a right to use the equipment. That is the only possible incident I can think of where I had a negative experience at the gym, but I didn't cause it.)

very disappointed, i sign a contract for 6 mont thinking that i was going to have the best service, first i begging having a personal training with Alex them he disappeared and never call me to let me know , so they still charging $280 dollars every month after they know that they didn't have a personal trainer for more than a month. Decent. Kind of a weird location since you have to deal with parking and get it validated, meaning you only have an hour and a half (starting from when you get your ticket) to get there, work out and leave.
Some of the upstairs machines are missing weight adjustments, and no one ever puts their weights back properly. Many times there is no sanitizer to wipe down your machines either, it seems random if they have it or not. Downstairs could use a water fountain, the only one is upstairs. Though, it does have a water bottle filling function, which is very useful.
My biggest gripe is easily with the downstairs leg curl / extension machines, as their incremental weight adjustment dials seem to just not work at all. I should be able to tell if I've added 15 lbs to my workout, but it just feels the same no matter what you turn the dial to.
If they addressed these things, I think I would really love this gym.

Updating my 5⭐️ to 1 due to very poor management of this gym.
I’ve been coming to this Youfit for the last 6+ years and I have seen it go up in flames since they changed the previous manager Joanna. To give you context, during 2022/2023 they started making substancial improvements in machines and the space. Everything was running smoothly including maintenance, organization, friendliness of the team, until they changed management and things started going downhill.
To start, they got rid of their best employees (Milton, Otto, Kayla and many more trainers who were super friendly and had a lot of initiative to keep things tidy and organized).
Nowadays, after almost a year with the previous manager gone, the new manager doesn’t seem to care about anything, including clients getting hurt: we have made multiple requests to change MANY machine accessories that are falling apart for months, and which are literally breaking while you are using a machine, resulting in you getting hurt or hurting someone else (yes, that happened to me once and I nearly broke my wrist).
Also, this location charges about 3 times what other youfit locations charge, and I get it that is a “premium” location because they are right in the heart of Coconut Grove, but if you are charging 3x times and don’t even have a sauna, then at least do a better job at keeping things well maintained (including super cheap accessories. Duh!)
I love this location and it’s basically the only option in all coconut grove if you only want to use machines. I was honestly happy to see how much improvement they had during Joanna’s management, however I honestly don’t think they will make it another year the way they are doing right now with this new management. So much potential wasted all because of the people they hire to be in charge.

Was walking around the Grove and saw this new looking facility. Thought I'd check it out just to switch things up from my regular Youfit gym I visit, and was disappointed. It's laid out kinda weird, has only 2 showers that aren't as nice as the Youfit I usually go to, and it has no sauna (which I find very beneficial after my workout). There's also a parking inconvenience as they only validate your parking here for 1.5 hours weekdays, and 1 hour on Saturday and Sunday. I usually need longer than that to workout and shower as you probably do. It LOOKS like it would be nicer from the outside than it actually is. You'll probably enjoy another facility more, unless this one is the most conveniently located facility.

So it's clear that the only reason this gym is highly rated is because of ownership paying for favorable feedback, but the place is basically a scam. Said they'd cancel my membership but continued to charge me. Put a stop payment through my bank and was hit with a collections notice from YouFit. I’ve been coming to this gym for years. It’s nearby and the cheapest in the Grove. Plus, it has enough equipment to get a solid workout in.
But objectively, it’s a mediocre gym overall. Limited parking, small, and no amenities. In fact, they keep slowly chipping away at the floor space members can use by designating “trainer areas.”
Also, there’s only like 2 friendly staff members. The rest won’t even make eye contact with you unless you’re already one of their friends or clients. And I've noticed that most of the employees working the desk just sort of hang out or flirt with each other most of the time, which would be fine if they actually did their jobs too.
These issues don’t bother me enough to warrant driving 30 minutes to the next closest YouFit or paying 3-4 times more for a new gym. But if you can afford it, you should go somewhere else.

For me it's all about the trainer. Aware of arthritis in my lower back, Micheal Pérez began strengthening my core muscles. Equally important is understanding what hormones et cetera are released during exercise. Finally it's beginning to understand what muscles are being exercised. The equipment is clean new and has a solid young staff to help.

Not only that, the parking situation is ridiculous. You’ll have an hour to work out on the weekends or an hour and a half on weekdays to get out of there before the parking garage charges you some insane amount. The manager at this location is lazy and never available and guess what. She’s the only person who can help you with any account issue. Good luck getting on the phone with her higher ups. The management is an absolute joke. I signed up for a month while in town for work. Told me I wouldn't have to pay an annual fee because I'm only staying for a month. One week later I get charged an annual fee. And they shut down the gym for 2.5 weeks for "updates".
Would've been nice to know when I signed up.

At the end of my month I stop by the front desk and sign my cancellation paperwork.
Two months later they call me saying I never cancelled and owe them money. So I say no worries I'll send you over my email copy of my cancellation paperwork. Thought that was the end of it.
6 months later they sent it to collections for $270. I have email and text proof of our conversations. Y'all are fools.

The gym is really good, but the customer service is awful! One of the guys at the front desk is always with a sarcastic and rude attitude with women, is disrespectful, and he doesn't care for anything related to the customer experience. I gave a second chance to the gym after the first bad experience with that guy, and today, once again, because of his terrible service, the gym charged me twice the annual fee.

Everyone here is so professional and excels in customer service!!! They actually adhere to CDC guidelines and I feel completely safe working out. I was a long time member of my previous gym (28 years) and I can’t believe it took me so long to switch. Toxic relationships are hard to end! I’m already gaining more lean muscle because the atmosphere is so conducive to exercise and leading a healthy lifestyle. YouFit totally puts you in “the zone.” As a fitness blogger and podcaster, I can’t express enough how important this is!!!! 2021 is going to the year of significant gains thanks to YouFit!!!
It’s 2023 now and I had an issue with the Coconut Grove location. The manager Joanne contacted me almost immediately and resolved the situation. It was so sincere and respectful I almost felt bad for complaining…. this is the kind of customer service I come to expect from a location in our small town atmosphere Grove vibe. THANK YOU for still rocking it with this location. Five stars all the way.

Have friends that go to this location, they tell me what a great , clean gym, and the staff a10, so I said to myself let me give it a try, so got my 3 day pass, so I get there to park in the main garage, only to find out there r not motorcycle friendly, huge disappointment so I guess not going to be able to enjoy this great gym, unless I want to do the crazy thing of looking to park some where that won't cost me a arm and leg ,

Have worked out at this gym a couple of times over the last year and this is by far my favorite YouFit location I've been to. Everything is nice and clean and the overall vibe makes this place very welcoming for both beginners and people that have been working out for years. I gotta give a special shoutout to Milton at the front desk for helping me find everything I need while keeping an awesome positive attitude. Will be coming back to this location once I move back to the area!

I’ve been coming to this gym for 6-7 years now, and I can confidently say this Youfit is the best in Miami. Ive gone to many other Youfit’s but the combination of space, equipment, cleanliness, and the hospitality is unmatched !! The grove Youfit has always been blessed with amazing workers but the current crew is top notch. Special shout-out to Milton for always having infectious amazing energy and always making me and my guests laugh with his great conversations !! Youfit Coconut Grove is probably the best gym I've ever been to not only because of the location but mainly because of their staff. I always get great service from the front desk guy Milton, with the great hair. If there's ever a promotion to be given, look no further, he definitely deserves it. Aside from that, I'm always looking to recommend this gym to friends and family, I've been more than happy with my experience.

Other than being the cleanest YouFit around town, it’s hard to come by such an attentive staff to answer all your questions. Milton in particular, was very helpful and explaining how training sessions worked and even helped me upgrade my membership plan to one that better suited by lifestyle. Great gym and great crowd!

The gym is clean and not a-lot of ppl, they only cover parking for 1hr half and on the weekends is 1 hr and now they are only a premium gym but the gym doesn’t have a sauna or a pool or anything that really makes it premium is just the location

The gym itself wasn’t bad. You get what you expect for $13 a month. Don’t believe the $10 since you pay biannual dues so you have to factor that in. Cancelation is a nightmare. They will hound you for unpaid costs. I couldn’t even attend while they’ve elevated and closed from COVID. Theo debt collectors will find you.

Best gym I've ever been to! The staff are very genuine people, and are so nice to speak to. They're very friendly, and are always happy to help you out with tips, or just to chat. Joanna at the front desk is so nice! I went a little too hard in one of my workouts and almost passed out (oops), but she took very good care of me and helped me to recover when I swore I was going to faint (lol)! Honestly I could go on and on, I'm happy to be here!

Always late opening in the morning (5am). For instance today 12/22 5:20 am still no show to open doors. Many members waiting outside, not a good example for fitness and a great incontinence.

I belong to almost every gym in Miami and I have to admit I love coming to this location..The hammer strength machines are phenomenal,great variety of nautilus machines for beginners downstairs..And I have say all the guys who work @ this location are so friendly and outgoing..Especially Milton who’s probably the youngest and rememberers most of the members names..The girls except for the manager needs to work on their social skills..The only real downfall I have is the odor there and I wish they would charge a few dollars more because you definitely get your money’s worth and would rather pay more and see less crowds..But overall very happy 💪🏻👍🏻

All of the people here are amazing! I couldn’t be happier with my membership. The trainers are the friendliest people. They really get to know you and it’s not the typical gym where everyone tries too hard! It’s perfect for the grove. It’s 5:45 am They should be open at 5:00 am and those in the morning always fall asleep, they open after 5, we have around 15 people outside waiting and the administration of this you fit does not do anything, they are inconsiderate with the time of the people this happens often,,, apart, to go out there was no one at the gate and we had no the ticket to leave and all the cars left through the entrance

Last summer we joined this youfit location and paid about $1K for private sessions for my son and I. Due to unforseen circumstances we couldn't come for almost 10 months. When we came back, we were told that money paid for private sessions rae lost if unused after 3 months. Obviously, we were never told that when we paid for such sessions. Nothing was offered at all and we simply lost the money.

5 stars for the staff!! They are amazing and always hyping me up! I have found all the equipment I need to get a good workout in although the lighting in the gym is very harsh. The music is too loud, even with my headphones blasting I hear it. I do not like the new set up of the personal training, it takes up most of the first floor and left no space to use the yoga mats and free weights. The parking situation is really annoying, you get 1.5 hours M-F and if you go a minute over, you have to pay in full $8-$10 I believe! I don't even bother going to the gym on Sat and Sun because you only get 1 hour of parking and that isn't enough time to park, stretch, and workout.

Bare bones gym, which is what you pay for, except when they close and still charge you and make it impossible for you to cancel or ask for your money back. Even now with new ownership the response is "we are new owners so all debts owed by previous owners will not be paid". It is worth paying the extra bit for better gyms that have better facilities but more importantly that actually provide the service they charge you for. I would only recommend this gym to people I hate.

I was interested in a membership so I stopped by one afternoon to have a look around. The employees must work for a commission because when I told them I'd think about signing up another time, the employee became frustrusted and attempted to convince me otherwise. It didn't bother me much until I received a phone call after 8pm on a Friday night requesting to know when I was planning to join the gym. Not a great way to start a membership, Youfit.

Went in wanting to just work out, but the employees kept hounding us as if they were salesman. Pitching to us about how we should have a trainer if world class athletes have trainers(what??). Refused to sign up for a personal trainer multiple times and they continued to nag us. We literally spent 40 minutes trying to check into the gym because they kept trying to inform us about them being personal trainers. The cherry on top of this was that all the equipment there was extremely dirty with rust everywhere…

This management closed off the area where you can use the ropes and some additional equipment that members are already paying for by being members. They closed it off after I started doing some lunges there, there is no one at the gym and not letting people use the entire facility is just lazy and a rip off.

I cancelled my gym membership during the middle of the COVID pandemic and Youfit continued charging my card for the monthly membership fee, which is funny because this location has been closed for remodeling since before summer and I wouldn't be able to go even if I wanted to. It is almost impossible to get in touch with the manager. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card issuer to get my money back. Very questionable business practices, ladies and gentlemen. Look up Youfit on the Better Business Bureau and it's very clear what type of business they run. Needless to say I won't be back.
