Once again, the gym was closed when it was supposed to be open. Showed up at 5:30 am (gym’s posted opening time is 5:00 M-F) and nobody was there. This happens regularly at this location. Unacceptable.

Last Sunday they didn't even open up at 8:00. No notice on door of any time change or that it was closed for the day. Myself and a bunch of other members waited until 9:30 and left. Some members left before me and were very upset. Some called and were told someone was on the way. Went back at 12:00 at 3:00 and still not open. The bad comments about this place are pretty much true. I think the good ones are from family and friends of management or employees. It's always dirty, they let paper towels and cleaner run out on many occasions. Bathroom is filthy and many times no toilet paper and garbages are overflowing. This is not the first time. I usually go around 8:00-9:00 am and this has happened several times for me. There are rumors that the place is closing and bought by another company But that was months ago. Why don't they do a group text to members like they used to when no one shows on time? Very frustrating to all of us.

This location looks decrepit. I’ve been to different gyms all over this area and I think this one is the worst. It was my first time coming here tonight and the place was dirty. The water pressure in the restroom was basically non-existent, and the automatic water sensor in the handicap-accessible sink didn’t work, so I had soap all over my hands and couldn’t even wash it off. The mirror placement in the women’s bathroom was all wrong. It is shoved in a corner where you have to squeeze next to the lockers just to see yourself. On top of that, the main trash can is at the front entrance of the women’s bathroom, so if you need to throw something away you either have to walk all the way to the front or toss it in one of the tiny bins inside the stalls. The whole feng shui and setup of that bathroom is just stupid. This was just one of the many downsides.

The overall vibe also felt very specific. The crowd was mostly immigrant-based, with a lot of Hispanic and Haitian members, and even the music seemed geared toward that audience. There is nothing wrong with that since my parents are immigrants, but it made the gym feel less like an inclusive fitness space and more like it was catering to one group in particular.

The atmosphere did not feel safe at all. The person at the front desk looked more like a bouncer than a gym employee and honestly did not even look like they worked out. The parking lot was full of men just hanging around, and I definitely would not feel comfortable showering here. I will never come back.

I’m very disappointed with the way this gym is being managed in the early morning hours. This is now the third time in less than two months that the person responsible for opening the gym at 5:00 AM has shown up extremely late—or not at all. On two occasions, I waited outside until 5:50 AM, and no one ever came to open the doors.

The gym is advertised as opening at 5:00 AM, and many of us organize our schedules around that time. Speaking with other members, I found out that this is not an isolated issue—it happens often.

It’s extremely frustrating and disrespectful to the members who show up early expecting consistency and professionalism. I really hope management takes this seriously and addresses the problem immediately.

I've visited a few Youfit locations, and this one is definitely going to be part of my regular rotation! 👌 Due to work, I usually just go to whichever location is nearby, and this one did not disappoint.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, which made for a great first impression.

The gym itself was clean, well-maintained, and had all the equipment we needed. My friends and I had an amazing workout. Definitely recommend!

I’d like to express how disappointed I am. The gym itself is great — good equipment, always clean, and a pleasant environment. However, it’s extremely frustrating to arrive at 5 a.m. ready to train and find the gym closed.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time — it happens quite often. I can only work out early in the morning, and if I miss that window, I can’t train at any other time during the day. So when no one shows up to open the gym, it means I’ve lost my only chance to train that day.

I leave home prepared, with my pre-workout and protein shake, only to be left waiting outside. I really hope the gym improves its commitment to the posted schedule, especially for members who depend on early hours.

Came here many times in the past and was so pleasantly surprised with the new management and staff, especially Desjuan. I had ended my membership years ago and decided to sign back up again online. Immediately I received a text from Aliah and she was very informational and told me to speak with Desjuan when I got to the gym. Desjuan walked me through everything smoothly, answered all my questions. He helped my mom sign up with the Silver Sneakers program whereas in the past absolutely no one knew how to do it and that was the reason she was not able to go. He was so engaged in the conversation, enthusiastic not to mention funny! He informed us of all the upcoming events for the pompano location. This was by far the best customer service I’ve had at a gym and it didn’t feel like I was just another “member”. I’m so excited and can’t wait to tell my friends and family about this location! Thanks Desjaun!

I scanned in changed into my gym clothes and exited the gym to put my clothes in my vehicle put my ear buds in and entered into the gym I was aggressively stopped after walking by the check in desk. I was told why did I not stop when the staff yelling at me to stop and that I had not scanned in. This action was by the same employee that scanned me in less than a minute ago. I am really happy going to this gym. Signed up for the training sessions a little over a year ago and it has been life changing. It is a small gym but has all that you need and it is cleaned multiple times throughout the day.

Miles is the current fitness manager and he adds a great vibe and enthusiasm. He makes sure the other people in training know each other which is a sweet way to make gym friends.

I am currently working with Lang as my trainer. She is exceptional. Highly knowledgeable regarding fitness and ways to achieve varying goals. Lang makes training fun and engaging and I’m looking forward to joining her new glutes class.

Potential improvements for the gym are more YouFit corporate related as opposed to this specific gym. Example- it takes a long time for equipment to be repaired and it would be ideal if they updated the color scheme to something more modern.

Overall this is a nice gym that fits the needs of the general gym goer. Great gym for people newer to the gym community while also having equipment for people a little more advanced.

This was hard. I have never left a 1 star review, although, as a business owner myself I feel obligated. I hope also to inspire the employees as a gym is all about self development. The facility is amazing and they are always upgrading machines and equipment & much more. The staff seem under trained immature and incompetent at handling simple matters. The current owners of the You Fit chain don’t seem to care about the facility or the members. You have to wonder if the people in charge ever heard of the show Undercover Boss. If they had perhaps they should try that here at the Sample Rd and Federal Highway location.

The TV’s on the cardio has been broken for well over a month. The roof leaks. That’s just two things. I will be calling ABC Fitness and getting my auto renewal cancelled. This is a business that’s run like it’s side gig or a hobby. This is the place you come if you can afford any place else.

This group of gyms started out as Planet Fitness they should try and hold themselves to the same standard that Planet Fitness does. There is no perfect health club they all have issues and I understand that. What we have here is a total lack of respect for the club at this location and its members. There is no plan, no communication except to purchase PT here.

This business just is poorly run and hasn’t had any substantial upgrades in years.

Tested 3 big chain when was choosing a gym fo4 my self: Fit Planet, LA, YourFit.
And got membership here. The best balance between price and opportunities.
You can find all what you need: free weights are, CrossFit area (not big but..), and the most important for me that there are weightlifting platforms.

So if you are looking for good gym for do workouts this is great gym.

I had a staff member call police on my friend because he didn’t like his tone told him never mind regarding his assistance and he proceeded to walk towards me to get my car keys to go sit in my car; at which point they deemed that as trespassing . I attempt to explain to them up to that point no actions taken warranted calling police and as black man in America having authorities called on you especially over trivial matters can be very triggering as I’m trying to express myself they then proceeded to accuse me of being aggressive and revoke my membership. part of me feels liberated things transpired in the manner in which it did revealing the subconscious racial prejudice on display ; after today and being wrongfully accused by staff and after trying to further explain for reference when dealing with different demographics perhaps one should be more cognizant of what others experience and try an be more helpful instead of short patience that’s all I wanted to be expressed in the midst of the misunderstanding so thank you for showing me your true colors I hope anyone with principles and moral compass take their business elsewhere.

Good morning to all of you who are students of this academy, I want to come across this comment that this academy is extremely dishonest with its students. I signed up to have a personal membership for 2 months and the girl asked me to sign, I signed without any problem, then I passed the 2 months and I went and canceled after 10 days they discounted the amount again I went to complain and they told me that it was like that and they told me that they would continue discounting for a year and even more so they told me to go to court, in other words they act like criminals on top of that being a dirty gym with no machines and terrible service, lack of material to clean the machines and the owner is a coward because we try to talk to him and he doesn't care, so my friends, be careful at this gym when you sign up, be very careful because it happened to me and I have all the proof in hand and then I do this and they say it's right, thank you all

I went to this location on Sample rd and federal highway which I have been going to for10 years . Upon entering I had my gym bag iand my keys were in my pocket which has the little tag that you scan. Before I got a chance to sit tmy bag down so that I could pull out my key so I could scan an employee by the name of Meah very rudely jumped down my throat about signing in , she was nasty and had terrible energy. I asked for a manager but by it being Labor Day the manager wasn’t on duty and this Meah individual claimed to be in charge she absolutely ruined my work out upon that I decided to sign up with LA FiitnessThe staff is more knowledgeable and extremely courteous and the atmosphere is a lot more pleasant .

The AC could be lowered 2 degrees. The landlord could fix roof leaks more rapidly. The equipment with malfunctions should be addressed more quickly. I would like to see a more stepper like elliptical, and maybe an upper body style cardio machine (like a bike pedal motion).

TEN-STAR REVIEW FOR YOU-FIT: COMPASSION FOR THE DISABLED & GREAT PRICING

If you are considering gym membership at either YouFit or LA Fitness in Pompano Beach, I urge you first to spend five minutes and read this detailed review of both gyms.

I know five stars is the limit, but I’d give Pompano Beach YouFit General Manager Sean and his assistant Lilly both TEN STARS if I could!

I have an overweight adult disabled son, Brett Jr, who insisted on obtaining and using a gym membership. He must workout with a caretaker being present (I displayed legal guardianship paperwork, proving this requirement). Medicaid provides Brett Jr with a caretaker, Dajie, for 30 hours a week. I told Sean and Lilly that either Dajie or I would bring Brett Jr to his workouts, and asked if the person accompanying my son could also workout right beside him. Sean agreed. In addition, both Sean and Lilly said they would be extra kind to Brett Jr when he was at the gym.

It’s been nearly a month now since my son began his membership, and he and Dajie go to the gym five days a week. Brett Jr lost five pounds so far. Both Dajie and Brett Jr tell me that Sean and Lilly couldn't possibly be any nicer to them. Brett Jr now looks forward to going to YouFit, working out, continuing losing weight and seeing Sean and Lilly!

By contrast, I had first gone with Brett Jr and Dajie to the LA Fitness in Pompano Beach. LA Fitness’ General Manager, Joan, was incredibly ice cold and very pushy. I haven’t experienced such a classic high-pressure salesperson in decades, until this meeting with Joan of LA Fitness. She repeatedly told us to hurry up, because she had others waiting to see her. In fact, she rudely left us several times to address other situations. Joan told me “you can read the details of the contract AFTER you sign it, because we need to finish this up”. Joan also told me, “I will not treat your special needs son differently than anyone else who comes into this gym. There is no special treatment for any of our members” (I believe there are laws that state otherwise). In addition to the ice cold treatment of Brett Jr, Dajie and me, LA Fitness costs more than TEN TIMES the up-front cost ($161.30 at LA Fitness vs $15.90 at YouFit). Additionally, the basic LA Fitness membership monthly fee for Brett Jr and Dajie was going to cost $85.59 per month, as compared to YouFit’s deluxe membership for only $44.79 per month. At YouFit, they also assist Brett Jr with nutrition and allow him (and Dajie or me) to participate in any group event that is scheduled. In summary for LA Fitness of Pompano Beach, I give them ZERO STARS for their compassion for the disabled, and one-star for pricing, as compared to YouFit.

THE WORST EVERRRR GYM, every one at front door counter rude disrespectful and do not have respect for clients they treat you so rude, and sassy. The bathroom are stink, yellow stains everywhere just complete nastiness. The management talk to you like you are a child. They like to raise voice. Losing your card they wont replace it and just screem. They are forcing you to buy their towels. Barely have tissues. You’ll be better off to another location. I took the time to write this to save you headache from dealing with these people. Completely bad customer service and poor people skill

I'm changing my review since 8-15-22. I downgraded my membership and Nicole who was working there at the time took some cash from me and my new rate was to be 15.00 a month DONT join until they resolve my dispute. This club billed me in 8-3 2022 and then again a few days later.

I’ve been going to this you fit on sample and US 1 for over a year it hasn’t always been the cleanest location but I must say they have a great cleaning crew now and the place is very clean and it helps they have a very friendly reception

I recently visited this YouFit to see if going to the gym was right for me. As soon as i walked in I was warmly welcomed by the front desk. There were two ladies working named Lilly and Nicole, they had the kindest attitude I've seen since forever and were very helpful with information about the gym. They showed me their equipment and even talked about how they have personal trainers! Would definitely recommend this place. If the rest of the employees are half as good as the two girls working there anyone would want to go to the gym on the regular!

Nico was super helpful and informative when I unfortunately had to cancel my gym mebership due to work issues. He was able to save me some money and give me some cool alternative options that I had never heard of. Cool guy, cool place. Definitely seek him out if you need any help getting started at Youfit. Made what I thought was going to be a difficult experience into a fully positive one!

I’ve been to a lot of Youfits since I started my membership years ago but this is by far the nicest and cleanest yet!

Everyone here from management (Noelle) to the entire front desk (Nicole, Nico, Marcus, Lily and Chris) and to the trainers (Kenley!) are so sweet! They always offer a smile, kind word, are attentive and have such a great attitude!

I feel like a long time friend when I come and actually have even now become friends but- that is not why I rate this 5 stars! I would’ve done it had I only ever said hi and bye to them. That’s how good the customer service here I!

Also- the new equipment and workout areas show they’ve listened to the customers wants and needs to make this a better gym!
