The prices for YouFit are relatively low. Went in for a membership and the front desk was very helpful. They were upfront and honest about the payments and very transparent with the membership process. They gave me a free assessment with a trainer, that came included with my membership which I thought was a nice perk. The machines are taken care off and doesn't seem to be dirty at all. If you're unsure about a gym to go to, take a look over at this gym.

That’s been a short time checking out this gym just enough time to see why they’re waiting is so low. It’s quite interesting. Any negative reviews. Get a generic response and nothing seems to be fixed. It sounds like they definitely need some regrouping with the management and approach to getting things done the right way. Tanya Cherasard - BODYPUMP Class is amazing!! She explains each move clearly, demonstrates proper form, and gives great cues throughout the workout. I love that she offers modifications so everyone can participate at their own level while still being challenged, as a breast cancer survivor this is so important. The management of this place is a disaster. They charge you for memberships without being able to cancel them because they don't respond. The offer of $10 a month seems attractive, but then comes the deception of membership fees for everything. I don't recommend it. Don't go there; look elsewhere; you'll feel scammed. This type of review isn't my style, but you'll be very sad after signing with them. Everywhere I can leave my experience about this place I will do so, so that people don't fall. Now that I want to unsubscribe and leave this place, they won't take my leave. You have to communicate via email or phone and wait 7 to 10 business days. They realize you're a prisoner of this place. For just one month of coaching at $200 x 30 minutes, I ended up paying $600 because I couldn't cancel this. Regular membership 30 days to be removed.

Shocking Disrespect After 10 Years – Stay Away from YouFit Pembroke Pines

After nearly a decade of loyal membership, I was blindsided by this location’s (YouFit Gyms – Pembroke Pines on Pines Blvd) complete lack of respect, professionalism, and basic human decency.

I’ve been coming here for years—nearly every day—building friendships and forming bonds with people who have become like family. One of those people, someone who’s become a father figure to me, asked a simple question: “What can I do for the last 10 minutes of my workout?”

I took five minutes—before my own workout—to demonstrate two exercises. That’s it. No money exchanged. No training session. Just a helpful gesture between friends.

The next day, I was shocked to learn that my membership had been canceled for “coaching.” No prior warning. No conversation. No due process. No sign posted anywhere in the facility stating this policy. Meanwhile, I’ve personally seen non-staff members training others regularly with no consequences. But me? Removed overnight for helping a friend.

This wasn’t policy enforcement—it was personal. Vindictive. Petty. The kind of decision made by someone with a grudge, not by a business that values customer relationships.

After ten years of loyalty, this is the thanks I get: canceled without notice, without cause, and without a single conversation.

If you’re considering a gym in Pembroke Pines, avoid YouFit Gyms. Their membership cancellation policy is inconsistent and unfair. You’d be better off at Crunch ($9.99+), UFC Gym ($29.99+), Amped ($14.99+), or any other gym within a 3-mile radius that actually respects its members.

The WORST gym on the planet. From someone who works at a gym the way they will tell you that your account is frozen or cancelled and then STILL debit charges to your account is ridiculous and SO unprofessional. You can request to have management call you and they never will, this gym is a joke. From the moment you step inside there is no professionalism there is no culture here, it’s a joke. Save your money and spend it where you’re valued and not lied to.

Every morning the sauna is never hot. Its been like this for months. When brought to the attention of staff, I was told that it is hot at night. That does not really help me if I go to the gym in the morning. That's the only reason I go to this location. If this is the case, it should be advertised that the sauna is only hot at night. Just read through the other reviews and it seems the sauna has been an issue for a very long time and apparently they just refuse to fix it. Great customer service guy's, smh

Some of the worst gym etiquette you'll find in South Florida. People are allergic to re-racking their weights and will often leave 205lb or more on the bar and move on to another machine. They'll grab 25lb dumbbells from the rack and leave them on the floor when they're done. And none of this is policed by the staff.

Went in person and cancelled the personal trainer i had. I cancelled it back in March, its now April. I look today and they took out $560 out of my account. Called and spoke with Kyle and he said that he would give me a call back, never did. Called again today and they told me Kyle no longer works with them, supposedly he got promoted and doesnt work at that store. i just spoke with him yesterday. Anyways i have the confirmation email that i cancelled it. And now im down $560 because of their poor management. Never again will i be doing business with Youfit. They seem like they care but all they care about is juicing you for every penny you have.

I would honestly leave negative 5 stars if I could....
The manager talked me into getting a personal trainer after verbally stating that the plan was $40 per month for 6 months. I didn't read the contract that I signed because I trusted in his word, but that was a big mistake on my part. YouFit is now charing me $160 per month for 6 months for the personal training sessions, which are only once a week. According to the manager, I cannot cancel the contract unless I pay a large sum of money. This is very infuriating.... Once my contract ends, I will cancel my membership.... YouFit will lose more money in the long run thanks to there manager!

Youfit Pembroke pines is a great location with great people. I have been a member for almost a year and the trainers I have had as well as the staff has always been helpful and encouraging. I"ve been at this gym around 4 years, it has changed the manager about 6 times in these years but still the same, old machines, not too much equipment to work with and the ones they have there is always a problem when we are gonna use them, on top on that employees that has not respect for the customer whatsoever, one of them Jhonatan who tried to force me out of the gym because I didnt want to have my picture taken that day, he came during my training and try to force me out in front of everyone, its disgusting how this man laugh at the customers, I must say thwt ai wasn't the only one who suffer this kind of harassment.

This is a big scam!
I needed to join for 3 months before I leave to another state. I was told I should send an email for deactivation 30 days prior to my date of moving which I did but they never deactivated my account and asked me for a proof that I am moving!!!

I want to first start off by commending “smiley”. I’ve known her for many years. When I used to go to LA fitness in the sky lake plaza. She welcomes you every time with a warm smile and makes you feel welcomed every time you come to the gym. She is a remarkable person who should definitely be commended for the years of work that she puts into this establishment. She motivates everyone that walks through those doors to have an Amazing workout. And the very next day she continues with the same welcoming smile. I’ve worked in hospitality for over 15+ years and that is a key example of human to human interaction. Sauna doesn’t always work properly. Ask them about the Sauna problems before signup. Smiley is the best worker here, sign up with her. Ignore the long hair fitness trainer guy, rude walked away from me when I expressed I was a disabled veteran with memory issues and couldn’t figure out how to sign in a day after gym signup. Luckily Smiley is here otherwise I would probably refund and find another gym. 2nd time where I had to leave the gym to wait for the Sauna to warmup. Not a drop of sweat after sitting in it for 20 mins. Ask for Smiley and ask about Sauna problems. Avoid the tall fitness trainer with long hair.

The class is challenging but not too challenging. I'm able to push myself to finish sets without risk of overdoing or poor injury. I'm 62 and the instructor has the class set up for women and men young and old to get an effective workout (I'm 62 yo}

I signed up for the gym in January and from the first day I felt comfortable (John did my tour and Delvin did my assessment) even though I have never gone to the gym before. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and the gym itself is well maintained and clean (even the locker rooms!). Since signing up I have been to various YF locations but this one remains my favorite even though there is one closer to my home. My trainer Ahmad is the absolute best and the Front Desk too. I have tried basically every class as well and the instructors are awesome. I highly recommend this location.

The facility is clean, modern, and equipped with top-of-the-line machines and free weights. Decent gym. It does what you need. Has decent equipments. I don't love the treadmill machines. I think it could be a more updated. I'm an early bird in the classes start at 8:00, that is too late for me so most likely I will switch gyms just for that. I have a 9:00 to 5:00 so at 8: 00am class would never work. If classes don't matter to you then this is a decent gym.

Morning staff is always on time and always ready for the start of the day at 5am, even on the early hours of a holiday. Gym has everything you could need, especially after the renovation. Only thing left to upgrade would be the cables which have been there since opening day. I've been in the gym since I was a kid in the daycare that existed from the start of the gym, seen many people come and go, but gym always gets better.

Nice place, big place. Nice staff. Way too many people sometimes, the parking situation after 5pm is terrible. At one point I looked over at the weight section and it looked like a sea of people sweating on top of each other. I couldn't even see any part of the floor.

Update: The staff at the front make you feel very welcome. This location is very clean, you can visually watch the staff actually clean. The crowd during the week usually dies down after 8. My only recommendation is more maintenance on some of the machines.

It’s a shame that I didn’t even get to go into the gym before I started having problems here. Their website glitched out on me which cost me to have three gym memberships that I didn’t even realize I had. And then had a long strenuous calling back-and-forth with ABC and Youfit regarding canceling these memberships and for some reason nobody could ever give me how the process would go I kept getting told to call ABC in an ABC kept telling me to call YouFit to cancel my membership, I had to speak to several managers and supervisors before this situation could be handled. They make it almost impossible to cancel your membership and almost no one can give you a solid answer. I am beyond upset that no fault on my own caused me to waste almost 5 hours of my time and call off of work to have to drive to the gym to cancel the 3 memberships. Honestly the worst experience of my life. Was excited to join but I will be seeking out a different gym. I am scared to even sign up again they might make 5 memberships for me.

I've been going here for a long time now and it's good. Provides what I need, the people who go there are nice and they pretty much keep to themselves so there's no creeping nor people trying too hard to impress, just get their workout in, cooperate with someone if want to use the same equipment and get going. No unnecessary drama. Mondays and Tuesdays especially in the evenings are busy. Wednesdays sometimes too.
The staff are very helpful. What knocks it from being 5 stars is the locker rooms in the sense of every now and then there's no soap in the bathroom sinks, and the lockers themselves as one time I had a couple of credit cards stolen from there even though my locker was secured. Somehow somebody was able to get in and get the cards. Fortunately I caught it within minutes of them using my cards thus no damage on my cards occurred, but maybe the lockers can be stronger or something. I've just been paranoid since then to use it to store my stuff.

I have been at this YouFit for a year now. I hate to say at first I didn’t know if I would stay. But the place grew on me. I especially like the various employees that I have met there. Gary, Ismael and especially Smiley! She is one of the reasons I stay. She is helpful, cheerful and accommodating. Her name perfectly fits her! If I had a business, she would be at the front greeting my customers. A wonderful employee but even better human being!

DISHONEST & UNETHICAL! I can’t even believe that the experience I have endured at this location. I was a consistent Youfit member who fell on hard times and could not afford the membership anymore, so they sent my account to collections in December of 2023. On January 16th of 2024 a representative from this location offered me an opportunity to remove my account from collections if I reenlisted in a membership for the new year using the promotional code, which I was more than happy to do. However afterwards I still received calls from the collection agency stating I still owed my outstanding balance. The collection agency stated they needed a correspondence from the company stating they could remove me from there records, Upon contacting the location they provided me with a customer service number to resolve the issue, after speaking with the customer service number they told me they had NO RECORD of any such situation, and they were unable to help me unless I could tell them who i spoke to. I reached out to the location who insisted that they had no knowledge of any interactions, or individuals I could have spoken with at this location. Basically providing me with no help and only giving me the option to pay my current membership as well as pay the past due balance on my other one to then have two active memberships which makes absolutely no sense. This location has been of no assistance and they are the ones that provided me with false information and lied to me. I am distraught because not only do i now have an account in collections but they have signed me up for another year entirely. Basically leaving me with little to no options. I have spoke with countless representatives and supervisors and none have been of any assistance. So i warn this location is dishonest and unethical. I do not recommend listening to any advisements from the staff at this location the only goal is to get your money and to lock you into another contract they do not care about their members!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I went in to make a change to my membership which an employee informed me that I could do, and after standing at the front desk for 10 mins I was told that I would have to call there 1-800 to be helped. The employee was going back and forth to the office to get help and the manager couldn't even come out and assist, but I could see the manager just sitting using the celling phone the whole time. I will be taking my business elsewhere

Cleanliness is getting worse, no where to find a tissue or paper towel to blow my nose after sneezing. Bathrooms were dirty, toilets full.soap empty Water fountains broken. inexpensive gym. Friendly staff that changes frequently. Crowded during peak hours but I am fortunate that i can be flexible on my workout times. Wear and tear is starting to show on this facility.

I wish I could give this 0 stars, they don’t even deserve one.
They sold me a 12 months membership with automatic monthly payment in 2022. After 6 months I moved and I called to let them know I couldn’t come anymore and if they could cancel my account. They told me yes.
They billed me monthly until the end of the 12 months agreement.
Almost 2 years after I received a collection that they can’t give me details about the amount and told me they canceled all the details after they sent this to a debt collector.
I discovered they billed me way over a year without my consent to renew and they told me that in my contract the renewal is automatic, they never mentioned it, only the monthly payment was automatic. Never received an email, never received an invoice, just a debt in collection apparently for an amount that they can’t justify cause they said they don’t know what is the charge for (they canceled all my information after sending this to collection… weird).
This place is misleading and they will charge your card with no consent. Stay away from this place.

This gym basically meets my needs ~ and I’m grateful that in the time I’ve been a member I’ve seen some serious upgrades to the equipment.

Now, what I’ve seen a decline in is the customer service of the front staff. Not all, but they certainly have some retraining to do with some of them. The two young ladies I’ve interacted with are just unfriendly AF. You can tell they don’t want to be there. Bare minimum from them compared to when I first started attending. I don’t need a warm welcome ~ but at least don’t sour my gym grind with bad energy.

YouFit Pembroke Pines (Pines Blvd) The silver sneaker classes are Awesome! However, the floor in the classroom is buckled and has needed to be replaced since December! This is a TRIP HAZARD especially for Seniors. There are 8 Silver sneaker classes a week. Highly recommend! Caroline is a great instructor!

One of the best gym environments I have had the opportunity to experience. Right off the bat I was greeted by the front desk. Smiley helped me out with joining and setting me up with a complimentary physical test. If you’re having a bad day, I promise interacting with Smiley will brighten your spirits. I have always had gym intimidation but my husband and I have had nothing but great experiences at this YouFit! We are there almost everyday and truly enjoy it. We are always able to get in effective workouts with no issues. They also keep adding new equipment to meet everyones needs which is great! I do have to give a special shout-out to Smiley. Since the first day we met her she’s been nothing short of amazing. She makes you feel like family and definitely takes care of her first responders fam. Her smile and energy is contagious! I recently had an experience at YouFit Gym that left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated. The unprofessional conduct I encountered from certain staff was unacceptable and has tarnished my perception of the company.

From the intrusive and inconvenient calls from a female representative named _____, to the deliberate withholding of crucial information, my experience with YouFit Gym was nothing short of disappointing. She manipulated me into a long-term membership agreement that was clearly not suitable for my needs, taking advantage of my extremely vulnerable state, that I confided in her about. She recommended the most expensive plan ($43 monthly) as the best option for me despite knowing I wouldn’t need the amenities of that plan. She watched me sign something she was verbally telling me content of (lesson learned).
She assured me that I could cancel the membership at any time, and she would take care of the cancellation process herself. (she did not) Moreover, she was fully aware of the exact dates of my upcoming travels. It has since become apparent that she deliberately withheld crucial information about the cancellation policy and an annual fee ($54), despite knowing my temporary status as a non-local resident (visiting family and flying 6 times in 6 weeks), with plans to relocate (contracted job) within a month to six weeks.

When I sought resolution by speaking with the manager, Myron, he offered me a partial refund and a genuine apology and recommended that I reached out to the corporate office for the charges I was never informed about or authorized.

The corporate office responded to my request with condescending response (a picture of my signature on the contract) and no resolution for the predatory nature of my membership plan and unauthorized charges.

This experience has left me with no choice but to give YouFit Gym a one-star rating and warn others to approach with CAUTION. I am also contacted the BBB and Consumer Protection Agency.

On a positive note: The regular fitness classes are great and their instructors are friendly and knowledgeable.

Other things of note: bathrooms are usually untidy but I've only used them a handful of times. Never used the shower so can't comment on if the water pressure is good or the water is warm. never used the sauna so can't comment on that either.

I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and works to improve its practices and customer service in the future. Karma is real...

Wow. I guess the bankruptcy hit YouFit hard. This was the location I originally sign up at for membership. Then I started going to other locations. Loved the Sauna here and everything about the location, staff, machines, layout, design and all. After 2 years I visited again and was shocked to see the down size. I see one full section of the gum has line a green floor for I guess stretching and walking. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I saw this layout at another location and thought it was just there. But I guess not. I miss my old gym. Looks like half the treadmills are gone. The smoothie shop is gone. But 🤗 the sauna is still there. And as long as it's not crowded it should still be good for an effective workout. But since the down size can you please keep the signs up. Encourage participation in keeping the gym clean & safe by racking weights back and being courtesy of other's that wait on the machines/weights. AT ALL LOCATIONS

Cuidado cuando firmes un contrato de membresía no explican al detalle los beneficios del plan y menos las cláusulas de cancelación. Resulta que el día que firmé la chica que me atendió me dijo que con el plan que estaba tomando (intermedio de unos 25 dólares mensuales) podía cancelar en cualquier momento y para nada es cierto. Probably the worst gym I've ever seen. The equipment is from the eighties full of rust. Very limited in equipment. The sauna doesn't get hot because of the 3in gap under the door. No water pressure in the showers. The youfit I used the day before is the same. I'm from out of town spoiled. The staff at both youfits were great. Not the cheapest gym either. The brown marks on the metal are rust.
