I just want to add to my review... THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO WORKOUT!!! The members are great and the staff outstanding! This is a hidden gem of a fitness center/gym in the heart of Pembroke Pines. It's super clean and organized. The staff does a fantastic job of keeping the center organized and super clean and at making you feel welcomed. And I actually drive past several fitness centers to come here and I still choose YouFit on Taft.

I originally came by the YouFit on Taft Street in Pembroke Pines because years ago it used to be Gold's Gym I n Pembroke Pines. And I have to be honest. It brought back so many memories of when I used to train there years ago and was competing in bodybuilding. It's been a lot of years since then but this YouFit still has the same feeling of a gym. Someplace you go to work out and not worry about stepping in front of some person doing a Tik Tok video. Everybody I've talked to and met there has been great. They've all been genuine, polite and helpful. Maybe it's not as large as a LA Fitnesss or as full of cardio equipment as Planet Fitness but what it does have is attitude and atmosphere. If youre serious about working out on quality equipment, this is the place. Maybe the equipment is not all hi-tech and fancy but every piece is super functional and hi-tech in it's own way. If you want to go socialize or make workout videos... this is not the place but if you want to workout in a great atmosphere, with functional quality equipment without dumbell and plates strewn around and not to mention very clean and the water fountains ice cold then you owe yourself the opportunity to visit and workout at YouFit Taft Street in Pembroke Pines. I can guarantee it will be the best workout you've had in a very long time. Thank you to the staff for being terrific as well!!!

Wry careful with this place they tell you something when you sign up and after a month they charge you an annual fee…… $65…. They don’t tell you that at all also I sign up on the location and they tell me because I sign up online that the why is that charge just be careful and read and ask all the questions

Well, first, I'd like to say, I've been going to the gym When it was golds gym and I continued with them for a long time.COVID came I was unable to go to the gym due to my wife being pregnant . I didn't go to The gym and the $20 was still being deducted from my account . No, big deal, I said. But then I decided I was not going to go to a gym. Anymore, I was going to cancel the membership and work out at home. So I went in person to cancel the gym. The kid at the front desk that i canceled with told me everything was fine. Months later I'm on collections for $100 I dont owe them. It shows you how desperate they are for money. My wife and I was going to amped and we canceled no problem! This is the only gym we have issues with. Come to find out multiple people that I know have gone through the same thing. I didn't believe them until it happened to me. This is the worst gym you could ever join.

I really enjoy the atmosphere here. The staff is friendly and the gym-goers are welcoming. I signed up for personal training with Fatima, and she's been fantastic. She helps me plan my meals and go through workouts, as my medical condition causes me issues. She shows me different, less stressful ways to exercise the targeted muscle groups. I'm being trained by Fatima, and she's truly the best!! One of my favorite things is that she continues to show me new ways to workout. Things I've never done before. For me who just recently started to workout, coming to this gym has been a blessing in my life. I come in and feel welcomed, the place is not overly crowded and I don't have to go on a search to find equipment to use. If you're looking for a comfortable place to workout, this is the place to go.

I usually go to another location but this one on Taft is closer to where I live so I've gone a few times when I'm short on time. To put it bluntly, this location sucks. The people at the front desk barely acknowledge your presence. I've seen people just walk in without checking in and the person at the desk doesn't even look up. I rarely see anyone cleaning. The trashcans are often overflowing and the cleaning spray and paper towels are often nonexistent. It's obvious the people that work in this location don't care. I understand that not every place is perfect and there may be a few issues from time to time but I've had the same experience every single time. The only benefit to this place is that it's rarely full and thats probably because most people dont want to come here. Im never coming back to this place and will drive a little further to the other location.

Not the type of person to write a review, but I signed into this gym not too long ago. I signed up for a 12 Month agreement and was signed up by Abram the newer general manager. He explained to me that if i were to cancel my contract mid-way through, that I'd be responsible of the charges of the months i had left. Later down the line of my contract, I had to move out of state where there wasn't a YouFit. When i came to cancel, it was with abram and he explained everything as to what i had to do and how much the payment was. I respect that as a gym, they were able to be upfront and tell me everything i needed to know instead of hiding and not saying. The facility aswell is great. Super friendly staff and the cleaners are amazing. They offer a free assessment when you join the gym aswell, and I had the chance to train with AJ, one of their trainers, and he was excellent to be around with. The gym is super clean almost all the times, and honestly not too packed of a gym. If your around this area and dont have a gym you normally go to, I'd recommend going to this gym.

I've been coming to this gym for years and overtime, especially with the new management it's under with Abram and Jordan, this gym has been well maintained and kept clean. They make sure that everything is stocked, from the drink cooler, to the napkins in the restroom. Environment is friendly and whenever I have an issue with something on my account, I go up to the front desk and they're always very helpful to me. I’ve had 2 back surgeries in 2024. I spoke with one of the trainers at YouFit, her name is Fatima. I explained my issues to her and what I wanted to focus on getting stronger. Within minutes she had a clear plan on how she could help me achieve my goals. After only 3 sessions I already feel stronger in my areas of weakness and walking with a lot more confidence. Broken air conditioning for weeks. It’s very difficult in South Florida weather to exercise in a gym where the air conditioning is broken.
Update: management did fix the air conditioning after my previous review, so upgrading to four stars as I feel it is still a good bargain for the price. I belong to other higher end gyms (where the monthly payments are higher), but still keep this membership for when I’m in the area.

I have worked out at several Youfit in the area and this one on Taft is by far my favorite. Abram is an excellent manager and equipment is never broken and always very well maintained. Their staff is very friendly, especially Tiffany, who has the brightest welcoming personality! Lissette cleans the facility tirelessly and all of the weights are always re-racked and in order. Regardless of what time of day it is, Equipment that I want to use is in good order. Keep up the great work!

I have a love-hate relationship with this gym and more specifically this location. Since signing up for this location, I will say around 2016, things have just gone downhill terribly. First off machines are out of order like crazy, the grippy things on the bars are like ripping off and just crazy looking, a lot of times the material on the machines are ripped. The floor is dirty and the bathroom is nasty as ever. Sometimes there is no tissue and there is a hand sanitizer that has been broken for a minute now.

Let’s talk about the staff at the Front. There have been times that I’ve went to this location at 8 AM on a weekend and nobody was there to open up. That is really unacceptable. The last time this happened to me, I got fed up because I invited someone to come to the gym with me and I was a little embarrassed that this person drove all the way from Fort Lauderdale to Pembroke Pines/Hollywood area to a closed gym. I ended up calling the Pines location to see if they could somehow get into contact with somebody that works at the taft location. The person that answered the telephone at the Pines location said to me, unfortunately this has happened multiple times and we’ve tried to reach out to the manager at the location, but nobody is available. My guest and I ended up driving to the Pines location. That’s crazy. There have been times when I’ve walked into the gym and the staff at the Front has their head down and they’re on their phone or talking to each other or even talking to friends. They barely acknowledge you. All I’m saying is that the gym is not what it used to be, it used to be cleaner. The staff used to be a little bit friendlier and I know that these “Gen Z” workers tend to be a little unprofessional, but at the end of the day that is still not an excuse. I really want to cancel but I have hope

I can deal with lack of cleaning/disinfecting equipment and restrooms through closing time - what is upsetting is when a piece of equipment is damaged and not repaired within a reasonable time. The assisted pull up/ dip machine has been damaged for now the third (maybe fourth) consecutive week and counting.

I must say , the improvements made over the years are very much welcomed and appreciated. New equipment and more variety, along with the sled, rope and heavy bag are. Definitely get a lot of bang for the buck here. The ONLY negative for me is the weekend operating hours. Closing at 10pm Fridays, 7pm on Saturday & Sunday is not cool. I think Mon-Fri until Midnight and Sat & Sun until 10pm would be a HUGE change in favor of the members.

This is my home gym. I’m here 5 times a week. The only thing you “need” to know is that when something is broken or out of order. It stays that way!! lol. This location has no shame. For example. The cable machine don’t have enough clips. So sometimes all you can use is the cables.( 3 years). The assisted dip machine has been out of order for at least 5 months. At one point there was only one urinal and one sink for months!. I’ve politely spoken with management and the have this look on there face like they are hired extras on a movie set that doesn’t know what’s going on. lol this is my home gym! They just collect money and let things rot! Happy lifting though! lol

The gym is just okay. BUT the epic fail to me is the limited amount of equipment. Three times, I asked why they don't have a full set of curl bars. First time I was lied to, " Oh we have it but it must be in use somewhere." Second time, no you do not have a 60 lb curl bar, a 70 lb curl bar, or an 80 pound curl bar. Can you please mention it to management? "Oh yeah, okay." Third time, do you realize how cheap a$$ it is for a gym with this many people to be so light on accessible weights. I want to talk to the manager. Never got the manager and now I have to cancel the membership because I need any gym I go to to have basic equipment. Nearby Crunch is the same price with a lot less attitude. Don't get me wrong, the gym is clean mostly and it is a decent space but for the same money I can get a gym that actually is not short of equipment.

This gym is extremely dirty. The bathrooms smell like urine. You can smell it in the hallways. Only two of the 5 stair master machines, work. Go somewhere else.

The worst gym I have ever been to, be careful with your credit cards, they charge you without providing the services, in two months they took more than $700 dollars from me (I had to cancel my CC and the bank informed me that they were trying to charge me $68 daily) talking to the manager was impossible, I tried for two consecutive weeks and the girl in the front desk always told me that he wasn't there. To get rid of this damn gym I had to pay $89 more. Without a doubt it was the worst choice I have ever made.

My wife and I will be moving to Florida. We are down here looking for a home and wanted a gym to work out in that was close to where we are going to live. Today...Adriane greeted me. What an incredible person at the front desk. He helped me get a 3 day pass to try it out. The place has all the gear I need. Great location too

Service has gotten worse, not all staff but select few have rude attitudes. Not only that but some front desk staff plays overhead music too loudly, so loudly that I can barely hear my AirPods at 90% volume. Members shouldn’t have to blast their eardrums just to hear their workout music through headphones. When asked politely I was told the music couldn’t be adjusted, having worked at this particular youfit in the past I know that is not the case. Music volume and station can be adjusted from tuner by the front desk near the drink fridge. I have chosen this location because it was “homey” familiar and have attended over years now. Due to the unhelpful staff that may change. I go to the gym to unwind not to feel uncomfortable.

Youfit Taft has been my home for about 6 years now. Over the last year or so I’ve notice the gym moving in a positive direction. The gym is better organized, 100% cleaner and the staff is very professional. I believe these changes are due to the current manager. He appears to care about his customers and providing them with a better product.

Broken TV's, always run out of paper towels, never see any staff cleaning, & front desk guy in the morning never says hi or bye & on occasion shows up late so members are waiting outside to get in. Go to the one on Pines Blvd. much better overall experience.

This Youfit location on Taft has been charging me for an account that I did not open and is threatening to send me to collections not only that but they are also calling my number trying to collect in an account that they have under my sons name who doesn’t even live in the state of Florida and has not visit any gym in Florida nevertheless they have bank cards on the account that who knows who they belong to. This place is a fraud and is opening fake accounts. Think twice before giving them your personal information.

The important concern that I have is when somebody joins the gym you are having them signed seven times I believe it was seven times electronically. This is pertaining to a contract where people have no idea what they're signing until after it's signed. Honestly, I've never seen this before. I had once joined a gym where they sat down with you at a around table and went paragraph by paragraph before you signed your life away. In my case, I was told I was joining month to month only to find out she had me sign for an annual membership. She was new, I understand. But I then had to contact corporate office insisting that they abolished the contract. While they did do that they made reference that after I joined I had the contract available to read. Seriously? Hopefully, you guys can reconsider the protocol. The new folks could use more training because they're dealing with the general public's financial institutions also. We had a couple hiccups with the new person regarding this but they were resolved. ***Otherwise, I enjoyed coming to the gym. The equipment and ambiance was great. Safe atmosphere/location. Sorry that this happened.

AC not working for at least 2 weeks in half of the gym. Really hot. Paying for a gym, not a sauna. Also several equipment in poor conditions, foam padding showing, uncomfortable and disgusting! Both quick fixes imo. Getting emails about full equipment renovation project. I go to 3 different youfit and new equipment is already breaking up. Fix what you have and save some money. This is the worst youfit I go to, barely acceptable...thanks.

We called to cancel our subscription because we moved to another city, and the only way they will cancel is going on person or sent a certify letter by mail. I had a horrible experience here. I use to workout here about 5 years ago and they have really slipped up on their business practices. Many red flags I saw in just two days. For starters, the assistant manager tried to pull a "bait-and-switch" sales tactic on me by offering me two weeks free but then he was going to charge me $40 a month. I got lucky because I heard another member was only paying $25 a month so I asked why I couldn't get the same? Aside from that, my first day working out, I noticed a gentleman being very rude to a fellow gym member. I very lovingly and graciously told him, " Hey, do not take this personally, but what you just did was very rude". The gentleman absolutely lost his mind and caused a huge scene in the gym, asking me if I wanted to go outside ? I told him no, I am working out. He still insisted we go outside, so I humored him, and went outside. The gentleman then proceeded to "fake punch" and lunged forward at me without phasing me. He then got scared, called me crazy, and drove off. When I told the assistant manager what happened two days later, he gave me attitude. I guess the management here never heard of the saying, " the customer is always right". I would steer clear of this place. Just being honest. - M

My husband got me this gym membership and I’ve been coming consistently for about six months. From day one the staff were friendly and courteous always greeting me as a came in and waving as I left. The gym is super clean and since I’ve been here they’ve added more machines and a space for hiit cardio. Christopher D. Is awesome and always goes above and beyond to make the gym a friendly and safe place he greets everyone with a smile engages in genuine conversation and is always walking around the gym reracking weights and ensuring it remains clean. I gave this a 5 star a couple of years ago. The gym has been renovated. I love this gym, never incredibly busy, weights always organized. However, the restroom (ladies) is BEYOND disgusting.
