YouFit Venice is the best priced gym around, with their basic plan being $8.99 per month. It’s not a fancy gym by any means, but it has everything you need to get a good workout in. It’s always clean inside, and the staff are very kind and attentive if you need anything. I do wish they were open a bit later on the weekends (closing at 5pm on Saturday and Sunday), but you get what you pay for. Overall, if you don’t want to spend a lot of money for a monthly membership and just want a decent workout, YouFit is a great choice.

I’ve been a member of Venice YouFits since they opened in Venice . Would love to give a big shout out to the new manager Stacy who has made Venice Youfit great again … after several changes of hands. Youfit was fortunate to have some excellent employees who kept things running while in transition . I love all the friendly people at front desk, Robert and many others whose name escapes me at the moment . I’ve been training the last 8 years with David Green who I have to say is the GOAT when getting trained or in any of his small group classes . He makes his classes doable for all ages and keeps it fun and for all ! My next favorite it the stretch and recovery with Jake Guay , who has helped many a sore muscle !

I have been a member of the Youfit in Venice since August 2021. I have experienced their ups and downs which is nothing different than any other business in Venice might experience. What I can say for sure is that the speed of the group is the speed of the leader. Up until their current manager, Stacey, there had been much unrest and poor management. Now I can see a very positive change in how things are handled. I enjoy coming three days a week. The facility is clean and well managed. The trainers are well educated and put the “personal” in personal training. If you left for whatever reason, I suggest you give them another try. I think you will be pleased.

I have been a member since Dec 2023 here at YouFit Venice. The gym has always been clean and well maintained. But I’ve noticed over the past several months an even better maintained facility and the incorporation of personal trainers and fitness classes. Kudos to Stacey and the staff for these improvements. As a geriatrician, I am challenged every day with advocating for older adults that are taken advantage of by some system. I am now compelled to advise caution to all older adults who are currently with You Fit Gyms, in Venice, Florida, to be conscientious of its practices--especially around membership cancellation. In December, 2024, my 89 year old father-in-law, who had been a member of this gym for years, told the front desk that his health had changed, he was moving back to Massachusetts, and he wanted to cancel his membership. He left the gym with the understanding that his membership would be cancelled. In April, 2025, we realized that there was still a monthly membership charge coming from You Fit. I called the Venice, Florida branch myself, and a staff member told me that by contract, there was '90 days of ongoing payments once the membership was cancelled'. She could not locate the account on the computer, so she said, "it must have already been deleted already". In June, 2025, we saw that there was still a monthly charge, I called the branch again, and I was told that there was no evidence that the account had been cancelled, it was still active, and I would need to call ABC Fitness, the billing company, to cancel--they could not do so from the branch. I called ABC fitness, whose customer service is out-sourced, and was told that I could cancel now, but I would owe You Fit money to do so. I called my credit card company, told them the story, and filed a 'fraud' complaint in order to stop payments. I received multiple calls each week from ABC Fitness--an automated message from 'Eric Riley' (not a real person)--to urgently call about my account. I did call, explained all of the above, and was told 'we're sorry, but you owe money now'. Yesterday, I was contacted by Aldus and Associates, the collection agency, to pay $118.80. Can you imagine an older adult trying to maneuver through this process, unable to make change, and now experiencing the manipulation of a collection agency? We will pay the $118.80, as we are otherwise powerless in this situation, but I will work to ensure, with opportunities such as Google Reviews, that You Fit gyms, in Venice, Florida, does not take advantage of another older adult.

This gym makes it very difficult to cancel your membership- they mysteriously lose track of all communication and continue to charge you. This membership was for my 89 year old father who can no longer participate . Be aware-despite him showing up in person to cancel AND calling multiple times and having to speak to multiple employees and an overseas call center, they continued to charge our credit card month after month which only ceased when we took the issue up with our credit card company. We too are facing a collection notice for $118 . Please do not join this gym unless you wish to be held captive to monthly charges even when you try to cancel.

I joined your gym about two months ago because of its convenient location and extended hours, which are very important to me because of my work schedule. I understand that the closing time was previously 10 p.m., but I'm finding the recent change to 9 p.m. makes it difficult for me to use my membership. This change is quite inconvenient, as the hours were a key factor in my decision to join, and I am now paying for a membership that doesn't fully meet my needs. The gym itself is excellent, with well-maintained equipment, a good variety of machines, and a very friendly and helpful staff. It's just the change in hours that is causing me difficulty.

Dishonest Practices Overshadow Positive Staff

While the gym has some truly amazing staff members, the overall experience has been disappointing due to dishonest practices. They advertise in the commercials services that aren’t fully delivered, yet charge the same fees. Cancellation is a nightmare; despite assurances that charges would stop after my yearly membership unless I renewed, they continued billing me without any notification. This lack of transparency and disregard for members’ consent is unacceptable and purely disrespectful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM!

I’ve been a member for 5 years. The club is spacious and well equipped. However they used to have 3 arm curl machines and now only 1. If you use this in your routine plan on waiting to get on it. My biggest complaint is the treadmills, all 20 of them are hardly used because they took the tv’s out. Used to dial in to a tv show to make the time go by but now I have to go to the Y and use theirs as they have tv’s on theirs. My next complaint is a failure to post any rules. Cellphones are ruining my workouts. People sit in the machines and play on their phones without any regard for folks waiting to use it. A simple sign asking not to use phones while on a machine would be helpful. Lastly, there is no sign asking members to clean machines or put plates back on rack when done

We have been members of the Venice Youfit since it originally opened. Recently equipment has been replaced with new machines that are very basic. This gym has older patrons who should have been asked what they would like on new equipment, i.e., fans included on individual machines ( it gets very hot in the gym and though there are 2 ceiling fans, one is located in the free weight section and the other is located by the front of the gym) fans on treadmills etc would have been nice. Also televisions other than the sports showing on all tvs hanging would be really nice (again middle gym and free weight locations). Since the bare bones new machines have nothing, people on the treadmills and stair machines and cross trainers have nothing to look at. Hang some televisions from the ceiling and give us something to look at other than Atmosphere TV! The cable service we originally had was never renewed, and I understand the monthly payment was raised $3.00! This is a great gym with great consistent members who should have been polled BEFORE these changes were implemented.

I always had a great experience at Youfit gyms as far as using their equipment. However, canceling a membership here was an extremely disappointing process. I tried to cancel at the gym but they gave me an email to cancel. I emailed the contact they gave me and I thought everything was canceled an my last payment went through but it did not. I had no idea I was being charged until one day I got a check in the mail saying I owed over $100. I brought this to the attention of someone at the location. They said I shouldn't have to pay and that Youfit messed up and that I could talk to a manager later to resolve this. The manager was not very understanding of the situation even though I sent evidence that it looked like my membership was being canceled and there was no amount due listed in the emails I was receiving. I ended up paying this fee since they did not do anything to resolve this. I wanted to warn other people to just be extra careful when canceling because this experience was very disappointing and I do not want anyone else to go through it.

In the Venice location, they removed all the treadmills that had the fans. It’s way too hot and there are no fans close to the treadmill area. People are tired of sweating to death while on the treadmill and now I have to carry my own fan. Not fair. No one will listen and get some fans installed.

I have been a member of the gym from the beginning. Have been extremely happy until the TVs were not working. Then, instead of having TVs, we now have new machines that have no TVs or fans. Many of us are older and do not use all the equipment, but rely on the bikes and treadmills. I’ve going to Youfit gym in Venice for several years now and find it to be a very clean, friendly and helpful in conditioning training. You can have individual trainers or the have high impact group classes. Andrew was my trainer this past year. I find that I need to have a trainer for a number of reasons but mostly to make myself accountable to go . He evaluated my ability and set goals for me to attain safely and not hurt myself. I am a 67-year-old gym newbie. I've been going to YouFit for a year and working with fitness trainer Liam. He has been instrumental in helping me with my goal of getting/staying strong. I do not want to compete in a fitness competition - I just want to age gracefully. Liam is a great listener and a great trainer who understands my goals. Have been using you fit in Venice for about 15 months. It’s clean, beautifully maintained with a great selection of equipment. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The gym is extremely well run by the general manager C.J. I need a personal trainer to keep up motivation and help me avoid injury and really lucked out with Liam Whity who I now work with 3 days a week for a hour each time. He has patiently guided me to levels I thought I would never hit. I m 68. When I started one on my goals was to get to 10 pull ups, at the time I managed 4 on a good day. I now do 48. Can’t recommend Liam enough.

Not a bad gym if you never want to cancel your membership. Beware that it is nearly impossible to get them to cancel, even if you follow all their steps. We had to put a stop payment charge on my daughters bank account after they refused to stop charging her. She submitted in writing as requested, she went in multiple times in person as well as called. Today we rec'd a collections notice for another $126. Terrible service if you want to discontinue your membership. Please prep yourself before you join. We had to pay the money to avoid a credit hit. This is the lowest of customer care. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS GYM and cannot endorse ever again after this fiasco.

I heartily endorse personal training at YouFit, specifically, David Green, Jake Guay, and Joseph Vindigni. All three trainers currently work at the Venice, Florida location. David Green, my first trainer, immediately gauged my ability and worked with me in ways appropriate for my physical condition. Due to a temporary change in my living arrangements, I moved to the YouFit in Sarasota (now closed). Jake, the trainer/manager at that location, seamlessly transferred my training to Joseph Vindigni. While Joseph’s style was different from David’s, his attention to detail and laser-like focus on form and safety were identical. After training me for six weeks, Joseph had to return home to Italy for a family matter, and Jake adopted me as his client. To my surprise and delight, he too provided outstanding training, encouragement, and total focus on my needs. Although I didn’t like having to change trainers twice, ultimately, each one provided equivalent expertise on good form and technique. This season I am working with David and having Joseph fill in on the odd days when David is busy. My experience, then, tells me that YouFit management strives to provide a consistently excellent level of training, no matter who the trainer is or where it’s happening.

For the new people looking to sign up….. Keep in mind that if you go one month without being able to pay you then have to pay double the next month….They won’t tell you this when you sign up…. and you have to pay to have your account closed as well.

If someone isn’t using your services for a month that’s not at all fair to them to still have to pay. You guys aren’t hurting by not getting an extra 20 bucks from someone who wasn’t there for a full month. I’m cancelling my membership and guarantee you that I won’t be paying a dime or coming in to meet with someone to close my account. There’s no taking money out of a closed bank account!

They are not willing or able to work with a person who cannot come in to cancel membership or services. Any other business has work around through emailing paperwork to be signed electronically to terminate membership or personal training. The fact that they require certified mail or in person is ridiculous. This is not convenient for members or those who wish to cancel. Definitely will not recommend you fit to anyone!

The staff at the counter are always friendly and due to the virus they have been keeping the gym clean and sanitize. I don’t remember the name of the Gentleman that is a little shorter, but he’s pretty much always there and he’s been a great help to me.I’ve had two friends join the gym and I’m working on three more friends, it’ll be five people total that I’ve gotten to join if the three do join. That should also let you know how much I love going to this establishment.

I recently joined YouFit Jacaranda and am loving it!!! I was paired with Dave Green to be my trainer. It has been an amazing experience. He listens to what my goals are and is very invested in making sure I get there. He is extremely knowledgeable and I know he will help me to be successful! I noticed that the entire staff is diligent about the cleaning and safety around the gym making myself and others feel very comfortable!! I highly recommend YouFit! No judgements, knowledgeable and friendly staff and affordable.

My spouse and I have been members of the Venice, FL Youfit for maybe 5 yrs. now (we joined shortly after they opened this location). We love being members of this club because they have:
A fantastic, friendly staff who welcome you with a smile, keep the place spotless & can answer any question or find someone who can. Managers who are responsive, on site, and involved. Personal trainers who have a solid background & education in fitness. My trainers (David & John) couldn’t be more different personality-wise, but both of them really know how to motivate you to help you achieve your best. Since I’m in my late 60’s & want to remain active, I’m thankful my trainers understand body mechanics and ensure I avoid injury. They are proactive in training me for sports that I participate in outside the gym (tennis/aerial yoga).i have learned so much from them. Whenever my spouse & I travel or are with others in our age bracket, we can see the difference in our movement & energy level. We owe it to being members of the Venice, FL Youfit.

I’ve always loved my YouFit (Jacaranda) ! Especially , after they were able to reopen after pandemic this year . They were excellent in all communications as to what the new rules would be . David Green, my trainer kept in touch the whole time letting us know any and all updates , while encouraging us to continue workouts and sending links to more . The staff , Ryan , Sierra, Noah and marlena always greet me with a smile and available to answer any questions I might have . Not to mention they all go above and beyond in keeping gym safe by cleaning equipment tirelessly !
Have enjoyed all the new ways to challenge my immunity with programs Tiara, Wes and my trainer David have encouraged me to stay healthy ! YouFit Jacaranda deserves 💫💫💫💫💫 all the time !

Ryan and Noah have been doing an impeccable job of making sure the machines are clean and that the members are doing their parts to wipe down equipment!

Even with the pandemic, the gym is safer due to their diligence and hard work! Ryan and Noah should be commended for their hard work and their commitment to the safety of the members and staff! Top notch!

The manager (the shorter lady with tattoos) has done an excellent job in picking mostly all of her staff as well. You know she chose the people she did, because she knew they would be successful!

The people that impress me especially, in addition to Ryan and Noah: the tall African American guy (i don't know his name), Brandon, the shorter lady with blonde hair who works as a personal trainer (i don't know her name) and the young lady with the red hair at the front desk (i don't know her name either). The staff makes it a much more welcoming and warmer environment than it was in years prior.

In regards to the new manager, I actually am happier to be at the gym than I was in previous years. Proof that one great branch manager can make all the difference and turn morale around completely!

Get your quill and parchment at the ready because the only way to cancel this membership is with a letter delivered by owl. They will also charge your account during a pandemic in which you may not be receiving income and have no possible way of canceling your membership as it can’t be done by email or over the phone and since they were closed you couldn’t have called them anyways. This is a joke of an establishment and would only recommend this to the people you wish to see in distress.

Initially, I was enjoying YouFit and my personal trainer. Unfortunately, since Covid-19 the attitude has changed and it no longer is a place with which I wish to be associated. The organization never responded to my email and the phone system was left unmanned and without voicemail. If your a earily bird this club is bad. The people that open up frequently have “car trouble”. Two times this week alone I’ve woken up at 4am to arrive at the gym at 5. When I arrive there are 20 people outside and no one opening up. I enjoy the gym, but this situation has to be fixed and when I called they just say “sorry”.

I always liked this Venice Youfit but twice now in the last 2 weeks no one has shown up to open at 5 am, at least a dozen of us stood around waiting and ultimately left after waiting 30-45 minutes with no employees ever arriving. Talked to several members who have switched or are considering switching gyms.

I really enjoy the gym but the floors are generally dirty. There is usually hair and dust balls around the bases of the equipment. The rubber square mats in the free weight area are generally dirty and the gaps between the squares are always full of dirt. I've been a member for a long time. I have never seen the floors very clean. Note: Dragging a dirty mop in dirty water around the floor is not cleaning.

Affordable, friendly, and well kept, this is a gym that’s perfect for casual gym goers. With only a single squat rack but a full selection of machines and body weight training equipment, this gym caters well to the seniors in the area. Not a gym for powerlifters or high performance athletes, these folks would be better served somewhere else.

Great place to workout. Staff is always friendly. Feels like a loving family atmosphere. Staff always looks to help if you need it. The trainers (coaches as they are called) did a great job for me. Now I am able to be on my own.

Not sure why some complain of cancellation conditions. READ the contract. I cancelled mine a couple of times, but now use the yearly payment which works out cheaper than cancelling. Ask about yearly if you are a snowbird like me. I know some of the kids don't care for us snowbirds , but it is the a way of life in Venice.
As for going at busy times go later in the evening. Even the High School age kids act nice to me, but maybe it is because I am a retired teacher and can relate to them.

Horrible lesson learned for Teen grand daughter. You fit took 456.00 dollars in a matter of two weeks from her /my account. I told her she was just being talked into scamming as they had her sign an agreement for 3 months ahead for training. Plus three member ship months and a initial fee of 98.00 . I asked if they would fulfill there obligation of training for next two months and they refused. Said she had to restart. I have yet to figure out how they managed to remove so much money out of the account from 9/30 to 10/15. Horrible , horrible people, UPDATE: UFIT LEFT MESSAGE TO CONTACT VIA EMAIL. This particular You Fit was a great place. The staff were friendly and eager to answer any questions I had. There were better, and more, equipment in this gym than the one I once belonged to in North Port. This was a far better gym in so many ways. I even had a customer come over to me to show me the right way to use one of the machines!!! Love this place!!!

Classless management. I entered the gym shortly after moving to the area to have a 5 minute look around. A little over a month later I signed up online for a free day pass and went to the club to use it. When I got there, I was met by an employee that told me that I had already used a day pass. I explained to him that I had literally only walked around the facility for just a few minutes and that hardly constituted a day pass. They're not the only game in town and I wasn't going to twist their arm to try their facilities, so I asked for my ID back, to which the person (who later claimed to be the manager) bristled. As I was walking out, that same manager shouted after me in front of the entire gym and desk staff "maybe if you hadn't been such an ass&_$#, I would have let you in" - to which I turned around to confront, but restrained myself. Avoid this place at all costs - pure trash. See you around, Freddie.

After switching trainers and moving beyond the lack of communication between management and staff, I would rate Youfit 4 stars. I do wish they were upfront with all fees by giving you the total cost instead of $50 for an annual maintenance fee and $10 for this and $10 for that. People are smart and will add it up, it's still reasonably priced - just more confusing the way they handle new members. They also offered Amex or Discover as a credit card to use for the monthly fee, had to have a discussion over using my Visa - guess fees are slightly more for Visa and MC? Another issue came up, I was offered a free training session because I did an online survey which I was elated about, my first trainer told me she would have to check to see if I could get it (she wouldn't be paid the same rate)! What? Never did the complimentary session, changed trainers instead.

Oh well, love my new trainer David, he makes Youfit a better place! Great attitude and positive personality. Highly recommend him.
