I loved this gym, it was conveniently 5 min away from my house. I loved the atmosphere, it felt like a community. They decided to close unexpectedly, giving members 1 day notice. The other Acworth locations are a good distance from my house. But I transferred my membership anyway. I like the other location but it’s not as convenient so I’m limited as to how many days per week I’m able to go. Poor business practices to leave customers in a bind. I went through a depression having my routine suddenly change this way. There is a location close to my job that I’m interested in trying on the days that it would be more convenient to go before work. But it’s owned by the same person and another reviewer wrote that their access was blocked after they decided to use that location and another one.

I work out at another anytime fitness for years no problem. I recently moved to this one and brought a friend to try out the gym. I got a call and said I would be charged 100 dollars if I brought another guest. Lol you’d think a gym that has free weights with plastic peeling off it to the point where the weights are sliding on and off the dumb belll would be less obtrusive about a first time guest at a already never staffed location. Paper towels are always empty, soap bins empty, weights always unracked, and the ratchet paper signs all over the mirrors are real classy as well.

Ashley was amazing. But ownership did a miserable job of closing and helping members transfer. They took my money for the month on the 5th. Then I get an email at 8 PM on the 9th that the gym was closing in the morning. Terrible business practice. As a business owner I can say the the only shining highlight in the building was Ashley Freeman. I hate that a business owner would so callously bail on an employee that gave her all to the place, as well as his clientele.

Became a member a month and a day ago. Got an email yesterday saying they were closing permanently and today they’re gone. I liked the gym until I heard it was closing, and then I wasn’t thrilled to go through the hassle of either transferring my membership or calling their finance company to make sure that they were going to stop billing. The email from Anytime Fitness said they stopped billing as of yesterday but ABC financial said that if I hadn’t called to make it clear that I didn’t want to transfer my membership elsewhere that it would have caused a problem. Glad I called, and if you were a member here then I would recommend you call them as well.

I went to the gym today 4/9/19 to workout. I have been a member of this gym for 5 years. I see a sign posted and receive an email that the gym is closing as of tomorrow leaving all the members high and dry with a day notice of owner's action. I am appalled and disappointed, as the other locations are at least 25 minutes from my residence. The lack of notice is absolutely unprofessional.

Let me start by saying I've never been to a gym..i work out at home .my husband insisted we try this gym..I actually like it..it's clean and not over crowded..they even have a workout room in the back so people like me can feel alone ..haven't met the owners but the lady who signed us up was very nice and helpful..so in short I'm kind of a gym person now lol..if you're looking for a place to just blend in and workout this is it 😊

No staffed hours on Saturday, 2/23. Disappointed. The staffed hours are fairly limited and challenging for someone with a full time job and commute.

2/24 - Thank you for the quick response. I would like to clarify I did not post a 2 star review BECAUSE of a family emergency; I posted the rating because the business was not open during regularly scheduled hours. As a person who also caters to the public for work, I understand emergencies arise. I also understand the importance of finding alternative coverage during in such situations.

Just talk to Ashley Freeman the new manager it was a confusion on when staff is there to take calls she said she would take care of it super sweet and I will apologize on the last review I am truly sorry and would love to become a customer I would deffintly suggest this to any one for sure thanks and have a bless day... if you need any photography and videography done I will do free of charge to help build your business thanks

Consumer beware. Exploitative business practices.

I had a negative experience with the owner of this location. I had paid in full for a year membership at a different Anytime Fitness, but I was using this location and the Powder Springs location more often than my home gym. This upset the owner of this gym (who owns the Powder Springs and Baker Anytime Fitness) and I was banned from using this location without warning.

I believed that my membership entitled me to use any Anytime Fitness location. However, I also understand the owner of this gym was not able to get any income from me using his gym. I think both points are valid, but I am ultimately unsatisfied with the way the owner handled the situation. Having your access key suddenly not work in the middle of the night without warning when you're trying to go work out will leave you feeling very negative.

Anytime Fitness itself has awesome and convenient gyms (usually). The equipment at this gym is not inferior. I encourage you to try it out, but if you like it I would advise you to sign up for a membership at a different Anytime Fitness location and avoid coming here.

RESPONSE: Using the service that I already paid for is not manipulation. The reciprocity feature is the hallmark of Anytime Fitness. Customers should not be punished for using it. Every one of your customers expects to be able to use ANY Anytime Fitness without penalty. Calling your customers manipulative only shows how you operate without integrity or honesty, and I hope your attitude in these responses is noticed here and deters unwitting potential customers.

The positive - The gym aspect is fine. I haven't been there during busy times so I find that it isn't crowded. It is a regular gym with everything basic you could need. There is no heavy marketing etc. This would be an ideal place for an introvert who wants to keep to themselves or someone who is starting out and is feeling intimidated by big box gym environment with busy traffic as this doesn't have that.

The negative - I used one of their spray cans and paper towel to wipe off an equipment and it smelled like bleach. That's not right and is wrong kind of cost cutting. I won't come back to this particular location for this reason. I can't not wipe the equipment after use and I won't use their bleach water to do so. The restrooms have air dryers instead of paper towels to wipe your hands after washing.

Awful, awful business! I cancelled my membership back in November, but come to find out that they have been billing me anyways! I call the gym, but they can not find the paperwork for my cancellation. Of course! A simple refund would be the most appropriate, but no! The only solution is for me to go back into the gym and sign ANOTHER cancellation form and only get refunded back one month. They will steal your money! Watch your bank statements!

Wow this place Is very clean and Is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Not a whole lot machines and equipment, but enough to get a solid workout. Plus the owners Is the coolest guy and really cares about his customers. A+

Great gym, has everything you need plus some. The owners are great, very friendly and helpful. Extremely clean and tidy----cleanest gym I have ever been to if I'm honest. Love the internet and tanning when I want it; not when it is offered. The circuit training machine is fantastic; never seen this in a gym before. It is priced reasonably ----- turns out just about a dollar a day. Free WiFi is a nice bonus because I use Pandora radio. Never over crowded is a big plus for me.

The gym itself is very nice, although being quite small. At first the staff was nice, but watch out when you sign a contract with them. It was my first time signing up with a gym and I signed a 1 year agreement. After this agreement period was over I assumed my card would not be charged again. Without any email reminder or any form of communication I was charged again. Apparently it becomes a month to month 'contract' until you write a letter(email) to them saying to end the 'contract'. There should be an email sent out at the end of the contract asking if you want to continue and reminding you it becomes a month to month 'contract'. This seems to be a tactic to get a few more dollars out of you before you cancel, so just be aware when signing up.

I was told by the owner that they would not honor the 14 day pass from the internet because some people were abusing it. As well as other Any times in my area. I asked him if I should be punished because of what others are doing and he said when people steal from Wal Mart we have to pay higher prices. This is how the world works apparently. I guess they are not smart enough to use the internet to stop people from going to different clubs and getting free days. I am going to Planet Fitness. Honor is the operative word here .They have none.

The best Anytime Fitness Gym around.

This gym has a lot of high tech gear in it. There is this room with a large projector and you can pick out a personal trainer to instruct you on various exercises and it has a wide range of customisable selections. When you step inside, you will not be disappointed at this one.

To keep in mind, there are other Anytime Fitness Gyms located and they are not all top of the line as this one. If you had a bad experience with anytime fitness, try this particular location.
