This gym is extremely disappointing in every aspect. There is a strong smell of food, and dogs wander around the office and even come out into the gym area while the owner does nothing except try to chase them back.

The personal trainer is not professional at all. His body is overweight with a very large stomach — he clearly needs a trainer himself, and should not be training others.

The lady who teaches the group classes uses regular sitting chairs as equipment and does random, unstructured movements. It’s obvious she is not a certified instructor but just an amateur.

The owners are not reliable at all. They never answer the phone, they turn off the lights, and they close the gym on Sundays even though it is supposed to be a 24/7 facility.

I do not recommend joining this gym.

This club is great. A mix of everything, the machines and free weights are perfect. It’s pretty clean and has all you need to get a great work out in. I’ve been here a couple of times when in the area. Big shower area, as a OTR driver that’s a big deal. Definitely a top tier club and recommend if you’re in the area. 5 stars.

I strongly recommend finding another gym. I initially chose this location because it was close to home. At first, things seemed promising—the owner was transparent about pricing and policies, so I opted for the no-contract plan that allowed cancellation at any time.

Unfortunately, red flags started appearing quickly. One day while I was working out, the entire gym smelled like fried chicken. When I brought it up, the owner laughed it off. This is a fitness space—people come here to improve their health, and that environment didn’t reflect that.

I was also promised a session with the in-house trainer at sign-up, which never happened. That promise turned out to be false. Another concern was that the owners themselves didn’t appear to prioritize fitness, which made it hard to feel inspired or supported. The equipment is very basic but that was okay.

The biggest issue came when I tried to cancel my membership after two months. I was told to contact the owner’s wife, who never returned my call. When I followed up, I was told to come in and fill out paperwork, which then required me to send an email to confirm cancellation. I never received a response—and was charged for another month.

This experience left me feeling frustrated and misled. I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision.

The owner was very transparent about costs, how memberships worked, and staffed hours—which was very helpful as it gave us a good sense of what to expect. The center itself was quite organized. I mostly just use dumbbells, maybe a machine every now again, and it was easy to get my workout down without any disturbance. I can't speak much to other facilities in the gym, but in terms of getting a workout in, this gym made it easy.

Went on their website and saw they offered a 7 day trial pass and was excited because its close to home. Received an email with the pass. Went to my tour appointment and was told this location does not offer free trials and day passes are 10 dollars each visit. Why send an automated emai with the pass if this is not the case. The email also said prospective members could workout the day of the tour. Well when i got there i was told to come back 4 days later for reasons that werent clear to sign up. Unsure why i wasnt able to sign up during the tour while there nor was this offered. I was pretty much rushed out the door. The staff did not walk me around and told me to walk around by myself while he sat down and supervised me lol. The gym itself was clean and had decent equipment but due to misleading info provided and staff that told me to leave i will take my money elsewhere

Hours are listed as 24/7 but this location closes daily and is not open on Sundays. Very inconvenient and falsely advertised.

Addition: I’m unable to respond to the gym’s reply to my review, so I can only add it here. I’m fully aware of how these gyms operate. All of the lights were off upon my arrival. No gym has ever appeared like that, and for safety reasons I did not enter once at the door. Due to the lights being off and the sign saying closed on Sundays, I left. Your signage outside is more misleading than other gyms I have visited across the country.

“I had a terrible experience with Anytime Fitness in Decatur. Every time I called, no one answered, and when I emailed them to pause my membership because I was traveling, they didn’t respond or take any action. Now they want to charge me $280 to reactivate my membership, despite their lack of communication.

On top of that, the personal trainers seem inexperienced and not in good shape, which is not what you’d expect from a fitness facility. Very disappointing service overall. I wouldn’t recommend this location.”

I bought a Student with me, but couldn't find personnel to pay fee... I encountered a female that explained the rules to me about allowing a non-member inside... I told him to go outside and I continued my workout--- This young lady didn't stop there... She banned me from that facility??? Wow, really??? I’ve scheduled 2 appointment inquiring about a membership at this location. My first attempt, I arrived at my 6pm appointment time to find that there were no staff members available. I called, but no one answers the phone. I’m just trying to workout for crying out loud!! It’s like I’m being given the run around just to get signed up! This one's not for me. I came in at night as I was on my way to Athens to get a quick workout in and grab a shower. The equipment is basic but whatever. The bathroom reeked of weed and the shower room was completely trashed. Water severity, curtain ripped off on the ground, wet tp everywhere etc. Like I said, this was around midnight so it's not on the staff but still, the fact that members feel empowered to treat their gym this way speaks. I ended up continuing on to Athens without working out.

If you need to contact someone or are expecting staff to be there during “staffed hours,” good luck! They’re hardly ever there and you have to jump through hoops to get in contact with someone. I had an appointment to tour the gym that staff showed up an hour late for, even though the message on the door said they would return way before my appointment time even was. The customer service in terms of tending to customers is a .5 out of 5 stars, yes, a half of a star. Other than that, when you do finally get in contact with them they’re friendly, never had an issue there. Actually getting in contact is the struggle. Very frustrating when you’re paying your money, and gym isn’t staffed according to website hours, EVER. If you have a membership and use your key without ever needing to speak to someone it’s convenient, but if you need any customer service, I don’t recommend.

Bathrooms were nasty . The equipment was good couldn't complain about that. But after my work out I get a shower and the bathroom didn't have any hooks to hang towels, no shower curtain so the water just went all on the floor and the toilet and around it hadn't been cleaned for a good 2 weeks

Went here for a quick workout after 9pm and it was like happy hour. There were a group of people sitting around on the machines just having a good ole time, not working out, TUH that was the most annoying part that I couldn’t enjoy my work out. They were utilizing the machines the wrong way. I’ll try it one more time before I cancel this location out. Other than that, they were lacking some equipment that would make it better. If you have an Active and Fit membership, do not sign up at this location. They require you pay $89 for a key fob. I have never had to pay for key fobs at any other in-network gyms under my Active and Fit membership. I wasted time coming to this location. After being told other locations may not have that fee, as they are independently owned and operated, I called locations in Gwinnett. Lo and behold, those locations include the key fob with the Active and Fit sign-ups for no additional fee. It’s a shame that you have to go to more diverse areas to not get nickle and dimed.

Also, in response to the owner. I did sign up at another location and was provided a fob for FREE. With that, any location can be accessed without paying the $89 fee required at the Decatur location. Lastly, the fee did not "exceed my budget", I just thought it was nonsensical to pay a fee for something I can get at several other locations for free and still have the same access. I definitely wouldn't patronize your location due to your unprofessionalism, even though I could with my FREE key fob. Thanks, but no thanks.

I’m just passing through the area. It’s 6 PM and I stopped by to get a workout. I’ve been to anytimes all over the world and have never been to one where they keep the showers locked. I just moved in the area, and looking for a gym thats 24/7. This gym is right across the street from my apartment so i can walk to it easily. Website says free 7 day trial, but this location doesn't honor them. Told me other locations will. They wasn't mean about it but dang... The worst!
My membership was just cancelled because,as I was just told, a member said I was acting suspicious and that I didn't have have on gym clothes.
When asked to clarify my supposed "suspiciousness"
I was told I would receive an email sometime in the future.
It's all weird because in the 45 days I have been a member I have only visited this place like 5 times and always in the wee hours when I'm sure to have the gym to myself. Admittedly I'm not a gym buff. For one I get bored with it easily and, secondly,my job in law enforcement have me "ripping and running" .
A moment ago, I just pulled the records on this particular location and surprisingly its own by black folks. I could only shake my head. Hate being stereotypical but it's warranted in this case. Unlike the other locations I have visited, this location is a sorry excuse of a gym. They keep the showers locked
. And the space is jammed with equipment. And apparently they don't like casual gym goers especially ones that come in in the wee hours. She said one of the complaints is about my clothes. That I didn't have gym clothes on. I had no idea these flyby gyms had a dress code.

Very disappointing. The staff was nice while showing interest in the gym, but once we respectfully shared our decision to not be apart of the gym, they quickly changed to treating us as if they were bothered and uncomfortable with us changing our minds.
The facility charges way to much for our community. The membership was $39.99 with a contract, $49.99 without and this is just for 1 person! They told us $90 for 2 people. We are disappointed in the ridiculous amount of money this gym is charging our community and making it hard for people who want to stay healthy. Very sad they charge that much and act like you don't matter if your not handing over money.

I accidentally left my key fob at home. In literally any other location, I could’ve been looked up in the system and my membership verified. This location refused to do so and sent me on my way. Nice people, but unreasonable.

I only give it 4 stars because it could use a tad bit of work. I am a gym owner myself and I do totally understand she is doing the best she can. They've seemed to remedy the issues by relocating to a new facility which I took a peep tonight and it looks FANTASTIC as far as flow and order. Can't wait to get my first workout in in the NEW location!

I’ve never been to a gym with too many machines. This place is small and there is barely any room to walk because it’s just overcrowded with machines. The cardio to weight machine ratio is way off, there’s no place to put your stuff if you bring anything more than a phone and keys, and the bathroom (if it’s there) is hidden. Unfortunately for me, this is the closest gym location.

Usually an Anytime Fitness is a clean and a better choice for a gym, not in this case.
Some of the equipment is starting to be in bad shape, the benches/ seats are wore out. The equipment is really comjested, it compacted together and not much space to get around. I had the opportunity to meet the franchise owner, as she introduced herself, and she wasn't polite or friendly by an means. If this was my first time visiting an Anytime Fitness, it would be my last, first impression is the best impression, not in this case. Anytime Fitness needs to address this issue, I won't be returning to this location.

Some of the equipment is in mediocre condition. The gym has far too much clutter in it. We were in there by ourselves and it's hard to move around. Can't imagine how bad it is when there are 10 people in the gym.
