I joined after reading the positive reviews below but decided to leave a month and a half after joining due their extreme lack of organization, constantly canceling my sessions, and lack of professionalism. The coaches aren’t that bad but they don’t really care about their clients. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I had a terrible experience with Built Phoenix Strong. They charged my card without authorization, and while they eventually refunded the money, it still felt like a breach of trust. I wouldn’t expect this kind of behavior from any reputable business.
The so-called nutrition plan and workouts they provided were a joke. The nutrition plan was vague and entirely unhelpful, while the workouts were generic and not at all tailored to my goals. They were nothing like what I expected from a company that claims to offer personalized fitness solutions.
To make matters worse, the owners, Jordan and Placid, were unpleasant and dishonest. Not only did they charge ridiculous prices for subpar services, but their lack of professionalism was shocking. They have so many 5-star reviews because they and their staff bombard clients to leave reviews before they even see results. The real reviews, however, are the ones exposing stolen money and shady practices. It’s not a billing error, as they claim—it’s intentional.
I strongly discourage anyone from engaging with Built Phoenix Strong. If the owners respond with personal attacks or lies—something they’ve done with other dissatisfied customers—please be aware that I’ll pursue legal action for libel.
There are much better, more reliable fitness companies out there that actually respect their customers and provide real value. Stay far away from Built Phoenix Strong.

My 1st Session at Built Phoenix Strong today was an instant Mental and Physical Game Changer . They were so attentive to my immediate needs for a good cardio experience
...they actively listened to my goals ...and personal motivation for becoming more fit and actually incorporated my personal motivation into my fitness training today. In.addition they were so detailed in helping me learn how to use the same exercise techniques I learned today at home by sending me a video demonstration. I’ve gone to two sessions so far that were intense, but great! Coach Jordan introduced me to the gym and gave me my first session. She was very nice, knowledgeable, and informative. I love that the sessions are 1:1 because it takes some of the “performance” pressure off from being in a filled gym if you are just starting back up again, like me! I also appreciate the nutrition plan that comes along with the training.
The only critiques I have about the experience so far is that 1. I wish there was an option to sign up and commit to 3 months instead of 6. As someone who works in a bit of a volatile industry, it is scary to financially commit to something for half a year with continuous layoffs occurring. 2. I wish more dynamic stretching or foam rolling was a part of the warm-up or cool-down. As someone that has been out of strength training for a while, it’s a little grueling to complete with extremely sore muscles. I know that in time, this will improve, but yikes! 3. I haven’t noted a way the trainers are measuring my progress as there was no weigh-in or initial measurements taken. I can appreciate not having to step on a scale all the time but would also like to know overall progress or have targets to hit. Measuring muscle mass or body fat % initially would be helpful to know how much I gain or lose over time.

FANTASTIC gym! This is hands down the best Roswell Personal Trainer. I’ve been a client for a little over 5 years now. I have lost over 40 lbs and dropped a few pant sizes. I’m in the best shape of my life. The entire staff is amazing. I have never had a trainer be late to a session, the workouts and tailored to me. I am always greeted with a warm welcome as soon as I come through the door.
I even worked with the owner a couple years ago and he was fantastic. The rest of the staff follows suit. If you are looking for a personal training gym that’s going to actually allow you to reach your goals this is the place. Far too many trainer talk big and don’t deliver. This is the first place I’ve been to that delivers! Highly recommend

This is a mixed review. At first they were amazing, but over time times available were less and less and we couldn't 't get consistent times. It got to the point where our excitement about going there were not worth our time and effort and we wanted to try something new. We cancelled and gave 30+ day notice. We were charged after our commitment ended, they did refund, it showed processing, but then they cancelled the refund. I called my bank to double check and I was advised to dispute the transaction and block all future transactions with them. I still have 5 workouts with them, they can have them if they are going to be dishonest. I read reviews about this and was prepared, so I watched and gave the benefit of the doubt. I understand accidents happen, but not when they cancel a refund!!!

Dishonest! Go Elsewhere!!!
They billed me extra multiple times without any explanation. When I reached out to request a refund, they either ignored me completely or gave vague responses like “I’m on it,” but nothing ever got resolved. It felt like they were just stringing me along to avoid taking responsibility.
I expected professionalism and transparency, but unfortunately, this trainer seems more interested in taking your money than providing quality service. The “nutritionist” they upsell you on doesn’t even respond most of the time.

While their approach to personal training may be solid, their billing practices are not. I’ve reached out multiple times about duplicate or unauthorized charges. I stopped using their services over 3 months ago and still receive unauthorized charges. When I reach out to get it reversed, they say they will do it but then do not reverse the charge.
Update: their response is not accurate. Happy to share receipts.
8/14: texted you that I had been charged when I should not have been.
8:14: you apologized and said you would fix it.
8/29: I texted again saying I had not seen the charge reversed.
8/29: you responded saying you would reprocess the reversal
9/4: I texted again saying I still had not seen the charge reversed.

Update 5/29/24 I am sadly disappointed in how built pheonix strong handled my cancellation. I was moving because I got married and reached out to cancel on paper AND in person and was told that everything was fine. A month after I officially cancelled and left this gym, my card was charged for an entire month of services. I reached out multiple times and was ghosted. This was unfortunate. I then had to I reach out to my credit card company and dispute the charge. BPS corresponded with my credit card company and NOT ME (after I directly emailed them multiple times before disputing the charge) with a copy of my contract and tried to say I still owed. I of course put everything in writing and was able to provide our very clear communication to my credit card company and have the charge removed. I won’t say the charge was malicious but I do not appreciate non communication when I was very vocal and willing to talk things through. Please do better BPS as I truly enjoyed my time being a gym member but would not recommend anyone due to how I was handled after I left!

I've been working out at Built Phoenix Strong with Coach Dre for about 5 weeks now. The workouts are about 30 minutes, challenging, and produce results. Coach Dre has such a positive attitude, and is so encouraging. I'm pushed to do things I've never done, but I'm also getting results I've never gotten. Scheduling is a huge reason why I also love working out here; there is no set schedule, you schedule your next workout after each workout, so if your schedule is always changing you don't have to miss a workout! I'm so happy to have found BPS!!

I joined Built Phoenix Strong a couple of months ago with the intention of reaching a healthy weight and improving my strength. On the first day, I wasn't able to complete the session, but now I can see improvements in my strength and can easily finish my sessions. My experience with Coach Placid, Coach Jordan, and the other coaches has been really good. They encourage me to finish my workouts whenever I pause and listened to my goals, creating appropriate training schedules and meal plans. I’ve had an AMAZING experience here at BPS. I love how they have a nutritionist Coach Jordan and how she’s available whenever you have any questions/concerns and she cheers you on with each meal you eat to let you know how well you’re doing. Coach Placid trains me and he does a great job of pushing you and showing you that you can do way more than you could’ve ever imagined. I also love that there are other trainers there that step in when a trainer may not be able to come in and they do just as great with coaching you through each exercise. I give this gym 5 stars, every trainer I’ve worked with there has been incredible.

Had to come back on here and change my review I was required to make a review right after the assessment before I could pick a plan. I never received the nutrition plan when I tried to get my money back they never gave me my money back, I filed a claim with my bank and the people at the gym said that they provided me with services which they did not so I am extremely disappointed and it’s no wonder they have a 4.9 rating because they make all the people who come in for a consultation to write a good review before they continue forward.

I have joined Built Phoenix Strong At Old Alabama a couple of months ago with the intention to get to healthy weight, improve my strength and endurance. Since the time I have joined here, I can say that I have been getting to healthier weight, my energy has improved and can see difference in my muscle tone. My experience with Coach Placid, Coach Jordan & Coach Adrian have been excellent. They listened to my goals and have come up with appropriate training schedule and meal plans. They have tuned the sessions & diet plan (me being a vegetarian) to suit me and with the regular check in's that they do, kept me disciplined as well. I have lost close to 8 pounds since I joined here and with increased strength & endurance. Joining here helped me enormously and I am starting to enjoy the gym sessions!!

Day 1: Coach Jordan spent over 90 minutes with my daughter, not watching the clock at all, curating personalized meal plans and answering every question with kindness and expertise after initial great workout.

5 stars because Myles is the best personal trainer. He’s extremely knowledgeable and patient. He answers all of our questions and is accommodating to mine and my husbands crazy work schedules. He also does a very good job of pushing us out of our comfort zone! If it weren’t for Myles we would give the gym 4 stars because it’s pretty small and some of the equipment is very old. I wish they had 8lb and 12lb dumbbells. We also had some issues with another trainer here, but if you can get in with Myles, he’s 100% worth the money.

BPS is amazing. I have been working with both of the Coach Jordans for the past 2 months and the results have been outstanding. My A1C, blood pressure, and cholesterol have improved. I have loss inches in my waist, hips, and thighs and my quality of sleep as improved. Most importantly they have set a regiment for me that makes me what to continue taking care of my body even when I do not have a session. Thank you to Built Phoenix Strong Staff. l am 62 years old with medical conditions that l was not aware of. My doctors told me l needed to start Physical Therapy but l did not want a cookie cut service so l saw an advertisement on TV one morning at around 5am and decided to go in for a consultation after visiting several other places l decided to sign up at Built Phoenix Strong because from the beginning l felt they were genuinely concern about my health and making sure that l reach my goals. I was assigned to Coach Quan for twice a week. He has created interesting workouts that is helping me to improve my upper body strength, flexibility and balance. The thing l like the most about Coach Quan he is always pleasant and patient while reminding me to maintain correct body position. I would recommend anyone who would like to improve their fitness to contact Built Phoenix Strong you will not regret it .As for me my bp is going down and l know as l continue my health issue will get better.
