This is my daughters and I first year at CAO Elite and it has been a great experience! The mental and physical growth that I have seen in my daughter this season has been amazing! Kudos to the staff for giving my daughter the proper tools to be successful in allstar cheerleading. She is looking forward to next season!

Our first year at CAO Elite Cheer has been nothing short of amazing! From the moment we joined, it was clear why this gym has been a powerhouse for 21 years—its success is built on consistency, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
The owner, Toni, has a vision that continues to grow, ensuring that every athlete is held to a high standard while being supported in a positive and disciplined environment. The dedication of the coaches, the structured training, and the emphasis on teamwork and character development have exceeded our expectations.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at CAO Elite. If you’re looking for a program that truly invests in its athletes and pushes them to be their best, this is the place to be!!

We have taken many privates with coaches over the last 11 years and our privates with Coach Tonya are by far the best!! She has not only managed to get my daughters out of mental blocks, but she has helped them clean up their tumbling and obtain new skills in record time! She is very effective and my girls always look forward to the time they are able to spend with her!!

My daughter was stuck in a rut for 18 months and wasn’t progressing; it wasn’t until Tonya spent time getting to know how my daughter thinks, learns, even her fears and Tonya coaches her based on what works for my daughter. In less than 1 month she progressed more than the previous year and a half. She got the belief in herself back!!

My daughter came to CAO to tumble with Tonya because of a “mental block”. Within 2 weeks she was tumbling again with confidence and a smile! We LOVE Coach Tonya!!! 2 hour one way drive is worth it!

My daughter joined the showcase team with the expectation that she would gain insight into what it would be like to be part of the year-round team. However, if this experience was meant to be a preview, it has made it clear that we will not be continuing with this organization.
From the start, it felt as though our participation was primarily a fundraising effort to support the year-round athletes rather than a meaningful opportunity for our children. The showcase team was excluded from many of the main organization’s activities, and no intentional efforts were made to foster camaraderie among the girls. Only after multiple concerns were raised did they make minimal attempts to create a sense of inclusion, which felt more like an afterthought than a genuine effort.
Additionally, there was a noticeable lack of organization and communication throughout the season. When three of the girls, including my daughter, were unable to attend one of the performances due to unforeseen circumstances, the final competition was abruptly canceled and the girls blamed. Instead, they provided a poorly executed “celebration” that lacked any form of recognition for the girls’ participation—no certificates, medals, or meaningful acknowledgment of their efforts. The event itself was disorganized, with poor lighting and no seating for parents to watch the final performance, which felt incredibly unprofessional and disappointing, especially given the level of the organization and participation was not free.
The only positive takeaway from this experience is that my daughter discovered a love for cheerleading and she truly enjoyed her Coach coaches, Morgan, and Matti. HHowever, moving forward, we will be seeking opportunities elsewhere that prioritize both skill development and a supportive, inclusive team environment.

This is my daughter’s second year with CAO. We had an issue with privates and Coach Toni stepped in and worked with my child. She learned a lot in just two 30 minute sessions. We thank you so much and will be scheduling more privates. She also says she will be back next season as well. She loves it and happy and so will continue to support your program. K. Davis

Here we are on year number 2 as a CAO allstar. We started off in cheer fundamentals and we loved and my daughter gain so many great skills that we went back for a second round of cheer fundamentals. From there, we joined the half year (SHOW TEAM) we competed and won of course and decided CAO was the place for us. My daughter made Level 1 elite where she learned how to base tumble and so much more. After winning a Bid we decided to return AGAINNN lol. Now she is a level 2.2 athlete who learned how to do a back handspring less than a month by attending privates with Coach Toni and skills classes offered at CAO. I can’t wait to see where my daughter goes from here.

Great experience! My daughter came with absolutely no skills at all and now she’s excelling with confidence. Coach Toni is great with what she does, she focuses on technique and doing things the right way. Also, if you're in need of a flyer coach, she will take your babies to the next level and get them to be confident while excelling in the air. Forever a girl in orange and blue.
Also, let’s not forget the overall brand, the look, the talent, coaches, and parents! Teamwork is def in the building 💕

This place ambiance is very welcoming and funny all at the same time. I walked in to get some detailed info about the allstar cheer program and I was greeted by a guy name Coach Stan. He was FUNNY needless to say but he most definitely made me seal the deal on registering my 2 girls from another program aside from the marketing aspect that I see all the time. Not really sure what the prior bad reviews are for but I was sold and will be here next season ! Black owned and beautifully kept from the tour I got.

First year with CAO, however several years in Allstar cheer. My athlete absolutely loves this program and we are so happy after careful consideration to be apart of season 21 and future seasons to come. Top tier organizational skills, well established communication, high quality apparel, well seasoned coaches. The list can go on! The owner is always at the gym, not just behind the scenes. The parent portal is easy to use and efficient. Assigned team reps (team moms) are active and engaged with the parents. I was shocked to read the very few negative reviews about this gym. Don’t let one bad apple spoil the bunch. There has been no hidden fees. Everything about the program was broken down very well at the new parent orientation. Skills of each athlete are evaluated over summer practices and camps and teams/levels are determined after which I think was a great plan when it comes to creating the ideal team to compete. Let the years of success speak for itself when it comes to this gym. The facts are they are thriving and STILL GOING!

My Fair Review Of CAO
0/10
I agree with one of the Mothers on this thread "If I could give this place a 0/10 I would.” That is coming from a young athlete that trained at this gym. Not only is it a horrible environment for your children, but for the parents as well. The gym is extremely unprofessional and negative to say the least, and that’s keeping it cordial. But I’m not here to badmouth the owner or the gym. I’m just here to make sure other family’s who wish to join this gym and team, do not make the same silly mistake as I did, as I do truly regret my decisions. To elaborate, here are a few KEY reasons why I cut my season short at CAO Elite.
Let’s discuss the unprofessionalism. Coaches and owners talk about athletes in a negative manner, as well as gossip about it to other parents. The athletes on the teams are toxic, all they do is break each other down and don’t build each other up. Like mother like daughter. One specific choreographer that goes by the name of Coach “E” was speaking about me in a negative manner, in front of my teammates. I was not present at the time to attempt to defend myself. He proceeded to say that “I was weak and can’t do anything” this is verbatim. I approached the owner in a PROFESSIONAL MANNER like I was raised, and addressed the situation at hand in a respectful tone. After months passed by there was no change, I feel as if the coach should have been reprimanded like she said she would but obviously did not follow through. Do you really think that is the environment that your child needs to be in? I HIGHLY advise against it.
As a first year cheerleader this was not the experience that I wanted to go through this year. No one ever taught anything, I’m walking away after six months without any new skill. If we have practice every other day of the week, shouldn’t we be able to learn skills within the practice? Not everyone has time to go to a tumble class. We all have separate, personal lives. And yes, I am used to the yelling and screaming because I was a gymnast as well before my cheerleading career, but even the coaches there wouldn’t walk out and give up on the team in the middle of practice. To top it off, at the end of my season (the night before the competition) the owner decided to drop us down to an exhibition team at one of the biggest comps of the year (NCA Dallas) meaning all the work we did to leading up to this point was for nothing. We had no chance to compete. She didn’t even let our parents know my teammates and I had to find out by looking at the schedule. Even after hitting both routines it was still kind of disappointing because even if we did lose it would’ve been nice to know that we gave it our all. My teammates and I were robbed of the opportunity to compete, like we came there to do. It was a waste of time and my parent’s money that could’ve been spent elsewhere where we would’ve been cared for.
Our team never got the attention it deserved. We deserved more.
Along with the difficulties of practice we also had to experience extremely bad equipment which resulted in me and my other teammate counterparts ending with ankle and knee injuries that I did not start with, it is a safety hazard for holes to be in the spring floor that we tumble on, I’m sure that to this day it still isn’t fixed
The biggest regret I had was joining this team, and not leaving it soon enough. If this information is not enough to convince you to not join this team, I don’t know what is. I would really encourage you all reading this to share it with your children, both male and female, to shed light and let others know that a gym like this should NOT be in business.
I hope you all take every piece of information I have shared into consideration before making a decision on rather this is a place for you or not.
USASF has been notified I’m sure, I’ll let them handle the rest
Best Regards - Nickolas D. Spraggins 🤙🏽🤙🏽💚

CAO Elite is THE place on the Southside of Atlanta to bring your athlete who is new or experienced into the sport of all star cheerleading. Tryouts allow ALL athletes to find a place where they can grow and learn. My athlete has won more rings, jackets, titles, banners, bids, and championships than we can count. From Tiny Level 1 to Senior Worlds, they have it all. The community and family atmosphere is why our family has stayed for so many years. Special thank you to Coach Toni, her staff and team of parent volunteers for helping my daughter gain the skills that will allow her to cheer on any college team she chooses.

This is an awesome gym we contemplated cheering for years and we looked at several places. We asked around and heard many peoples feedback on places to go. We picked CAO for many reason and from day one we were welcomed in with open arms. The owner didn’t sugar coat it she told me this is a big investment and she will push my athlete to be the best athlete and person she could be. That sealed it for me !! I love the competitive nature and that they strive to get the best out of the girls not just cheer but in life. We love the travel and it also has given opportunities to some girls who have not traveled as much to see new places and I love that!! People see the glitz and glam but don’t get to see the family atmosphere that I feel. It’s become a village and helps me out when I can’t get her to practice with my work schedule. What I can say is we have really enjoyed this experience and we will be back next season!!

Updated review per CAO’s reply: CAO’s statement is incorrect. I have been to the gym in the past five to six months with the last visit I made being in November 2023 when the pole and pictures were still affixed. To paint the picture that all the parents enjoyed the “gag” is incorrect. To my knowledge, a former gym parent reported the concern to USASF. To those reading, there is nothing fictional about these beyond subpar reviews especially as the gym refuses to include facts. The true attack on the Black community and Black women is exposing young Black girls and athletes to poor leadership, isolation, and toxic extracurricular environments. The HBCU combine is an amazing initiative! But, that once-a-year event doesn’t excuse the behavior that perpetually continues on a daily basis.
For parents and families that are interested in CAO Elite, I want to be clear that this the most unprofessional cheer organization I've ever encountered by way of my connection to this gym through a family member (think stripper pole in the middle of the parent waiting room and images of infamous Atlanta strip clubs in photo frames on the wall -- I believe these have since been removed). Additionally, the staff and gym team are disrespectful, in-dubiously passive aggressive, unsupportive and do not value parents or athletes. I would strongly advise that you take your talent, time, endeavors, and dollars elsewhere if you are serious about your child's future in this sport. The irony of "elite" being in the name when it is everything but...reviewers have to give at least one start to post a review, but even that is a reach.

Horrible experience overall. My daughter won a free season (which was not honored) and was kicked out due to expressing concerns with athletes growth in gym after 3 seasons.
Ironically, athlete went to larger, more prestigious gym and made team and level gym owner, Toni, insisted athlete was not ready for. Owner called me names and stated that I was delusional once I brought up the FACT that the teams go to different events and the team my child was on was the only team in the gym not attending 1 varsity event for the season. Some may know but registration fees are different for each competition but for some awkward reason everyone pays the same fees. Parents do not find out until months after the season begins what level and division their child is on as well as what competitions your specific team will be attending which is opposite of other gyms in the metro atlanta area.
Owner used athlete name for other teams and was reported to USASF in which the roster violations were proven and documented. Gym owners family members been to stalk my social media accounts as a form on intimidation. There was even a phone call to my job with empty threats and egregious lies. As a parent for multiple seasons, I often expressed concerns and assisted in many different areas for the sake of improvement, and the overall success of my child. I tried to make something that was clearly broken work. After honest reviews from parents gym requests friends, coaches, and even children to post reviews to try to hide the truth. I wish I could give it 0 stars but since I have to I guess I would give one star for their great ability to scheme, manipulate, lie, cheat, and cover up the reality behind those orange and blue walls. She has an outstanding way with words and knows how to cover up the truth and her marketing skills are A1. However, if you are one to not follow the masses, speak your mind, ask questions, and think on your own this is not the gym for you. They absolutely hate/despise people who ask questions or in her words too many questions, think on their own, research the information they provide (mostly lies), do not allow them to talk and treat you/your child any type of way, expect on time communication, and professional. You have to pay close attention to the competition rooster because your child may very well be competing on more than one team on paper, be sure to check competition roosters and make sure your child is competing because most of the time they are only going against, and themselves and monitor your credit cards/bank accounts carefully because every now and then the system will process extra payments in error even though you have paid tuition and uniform cost in full, and be ready for last minute schedule changes due to "cancelled competitions" although they really arent canceled. My experience was far from great and but if you can deal with this plus lack of communication and disrespect you may be a great fit otherwise do your research, check the clerk of courts in many Georgia counties and STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM

This cheer gym has a variety of programs for young girls! They have the glitz and glamour while teaching skills and techniques needed for all stars! Love the staff!

Great place, Great staff and respectable athletes. CAO is a class act gym. The owner is very hands on and makes it priority to know each and every one of her allstars. Great program all around. I would recommend to any parent & child looking for an Allstar cheer home.

CAO Elite is an remarkable gym. It is warm, welcoming, and full of fun! Coach Toni and the coaching staff set high expectations of the cheerleaders on and off the cheer mat! The office staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt when questions arise or information is needed by parents/cheerleaders. The impact this gym has on the community is impeccable. My family and I are elated to be a part of a wonderful cheer/dance family!
