You wouldn’t believe the difference in my almost five year old since beginning CK. We started when she was two and struggled to separate from me and didn’t always want to dance in front of people and this year at four she went on stage and COMPETED twice. Mrs. Emma Hand has built a positive, encouraging team of littles that allows these sweet girls to grow and really come into their own. We love CK Danceworks! It is truly our daughter's home away from home! I have to admit that when I walked into the studio when my daughter was not even 3 years old I was a bit overwhelmed. It is such a large studio, and I had no idea if she would even like dance. As a child I danced at a much smaller studio and so I hesitated. We wound up doing 3 years at our local Y at first, and when it was clear she loved dance and wanted to stick with it we moved to CK at her teacher's recommendation. In retrospect I wish I hadn't let the size of the studio intimidate me! This is her 9th season with CK and she absolutely loves her team, her teachers, and the friendships that she has made through CK. We've done it all with them. Rec classes, the Reach Out program, and now their competition teams and Aspire program. If you're a mom of a little one, don't let the size of the studio intimidate you! The owners and staff are phenomenal, they are always ready and willing to answer any questions you may have, and the studio is run so well you will never be disappointed you chose CKDW!

We had a Swiftie themed party to celebrate my daughters 6th birthday. It was an absolute hit with the girls (and moms)! From start to finish, the experience was well-organized, fun, and filled with energy. The party staff were incredible, making sure everything went smoothly. The girls had mini dance class, where they learned a fun routine, which was a highlight. The party also included some fun games and bracelet making in between the dancing, which kept the girls engaged. We have been at CK for three years now! I signed my granddaughter up for Boogie Babies with Emma H. Emma is such a wonderful and enthusiastic teacher to the little ones! She has MUCH patience with the young kids who are just learning to follow instruction. It has been great to see the kids progress from the start of the year to the end. My boogie baby is now in Tot Rock and her one year old sister is just starting her Boogie Babies classes! The staff is always SO friendly even in the most chaotic times! The decision for the class I signed my son up for “motor skills – jumping, running, climbing, balancing, and also an introduction to tumbling. Our Acro Ninja classes are for kids who love all things tumbling as well as obstacle courses, running, climbing, and jumping off everything! Children will learn both acro and ninja skills, ” there was nothing for them to climb on in the room. The was no ninja skills of any kind. It was a basic gymnastics class. Due to the class not being as listed I asked for a refund for the classes we hadn’t been to of course they said no. So just be careful paying $50 for registration then $80 for a class that is not what’s being advertised.

Both my daughters ages 15 and 6 dance at CK DanceWorks! This is more than just a dance studio, it's like dropping off your kiddos with family. I've watched my girls blossom throughout the years. We used to love CK. However, since COVID, it has changed tremendously. They have continued to only allow one person inside to watch your child. They claim that it's "to meet capacity", but they had hundreds of people crammed inside for Christmas. If you want to pay hundreds of dollars to watch your kid for a minute and a half at the end of the year...then this place is for you because you can't even bring your other small children inside anymore.

UPDATE: My graduating dancer, Kevin from 2019, went on to be a Trainee with the Joffrey Ballet Academy of Texas. After his 3rd year, he has now been offered, and has accepted a position with Zion Dance Project in Dallas, TX as one of their lead dancers. He auditioned with three companies, and all offered him positions with their Company! The one who he went with invited him to join their 1st Company after attending a 2 week summer conditioning series.
CK Danceworks instilled a solid work ethic and pulled him up from a shy little guy into a mature dancer who has now achieved his dream of being a professional dancer!

As a mom of ten, I’ve had three boys and three girls dance and do acro over the past 12 years at CK. Their quality of not only dance education instructors combined with their personal committments of pouring encouragement, self-discipline, and self-esteem into each child is second to none. We have had a son with special needs dance and love it, while being included and encouraged with most anything he desired to try at CK plus he attends their Chance to Dance class for kids with disabilities taught by Studio director, Christina Wigington. I’ve also had two sons move up and compete on their Competition Companies.
However, one son, Kevin who was adopted from China at age 13, took a beginner hip hop class when he was 14. He was asked to consider continuing with more classes and join their competition team. One instructor in particular, Mr Jon Carr, has been instrumental for helping Kevin find his own passion for Contemporary dance. Jon has encouraged Kevin from a shy, introverted, teen into becoming an outgoing, strong, masculine contemporary dancer who has plans now to continue professionally. In 3.5 years, the transformation has been miraculous. While the ability was there, Jon along with the other awesome and talented instructors at CK have helped Kevin to dig deep and find technique and grow into a true dancer on many levels who remains humble, yet fierce, on the dance floor. I picked CK DanceWorks for my daughters first year of dance on a whim really. It’s 5mins from our house so super convenient… and that was pretty much my main reason (and they had Saturday classes). Completely clueless about dance and what to expect- we went to our first class hoping for the best. The staff is amazing, always greeting you right when you walk and the facility is very nice! I wasn’t sure dance was gonna be for my daughter but her sweet sweet teacher (Sophia) reassured me and told me to give it time. She was right. Very right. We just completed our first season and recital and the pride I felt in my girl was amazing but even more amazing than that a week later she’s still talking about “loving the stage” and that she is so proud of herself. And she can’t wait to do it all again! She loves the school, the new friends she made, her teachers and really everyone she’s met there!! My daughter has been at CK for 4 years now and still looks forward to going every single week. We used to live very close to the studio and moved further out 2 years ago. After one month of trying dance classes somewhere else, my daughter was begging to return to CK (and I was too.) We may drive a little further to get there now, but it's 100% worth it for us. The 2022 Let’s Glow Crazy Recitals and Showcases were fantastic to watch this year. My granddaughter performed in four different shows and just loved it. The excitement and enthusiasm with the music and the props for taking pictures outside were fantastic. We are so fortunate to have found CK DanceWorks for my daughter. I have honestly been waiting since my now 4 year old was less than a year to put her in CKDW after seeing so many in my area with their car stickers and finding them on social media. Obviously, a big part of that is because I’m a stay at home mom, but an even bigger part is that I have child abuse in my history and having an eye on my kids as much as I can is big for me, especially at such young ages. I love that the dance classrooms have monitors outside the room so you can watch the class session. And I officially knew CK Danceworks will be our dance home for as long as my daughter loves dance after having her participate in their recent fabulous production of “A BloCKbuster Christmas”. I was made aware that my daughter would have to be backstage during the show for many reasons that made sense, but given my history I was extremely nervous. I sent an email expressing my concern and received a phone call in return (when does that happen these days?!). Kensey reassured me by detailing each and every moment that would be had backstage and informing me who would be watching them, and even offering to make arrangements to have my daughter returned to me as soon as her performance was over. There was no annoyed tone even though I asked her question after question. On the day of the show she met with me personally, took my baby in her arms, and reassured me once more. After the show, Kensey, Marisa and one of the volunteers (so upset I didn’t get her name) who stayed with my daughter all met me to tell me how proud they were of Thema and how well she did backstage. As a mom that would definitely be considered a helicopter mom, which many don’t understand, whether they understood it or not they supported me and made sure I felt heard, understood, and most importantly that my daughter was in good safe hands. With all the hustle and bustle that goes on after putting on a production of that magnitude, they all took the time to check-in with me. What that means to me as a mother is immeasurable! This is clearly a place where they see their dancers and their families AS family! You can’t beat that!

My daughter is in her sixth season of dance at CK. She loves the studio the staff and the amazing friends that she has met. As a dancer most of my life I am very picky when it came to choosing a dance studio. I have found truly the BEST at CK Danceworks. It is clean, they are friendly and accommodating, and most if all they love all three of my children dearly and isn't that what every parent wants? I feel so safe dropping them off knowing they are in the best hands and are learning all aspects of the art of dance.

I can't say enough wonderful things about CK! It is definitely my girls' happy place and their home away from home. My daughter is going on her 5th year at CK and we could not be happier. It is our home and everyone there is family. She came in as a gymnast and has grown into an amazing dancer.
