Updating my review as this place gets worse and worse. The new rules are pretty dumb, no photography is insane work for a school which specializes itself in creation and the arts. The dress code is still pretty strict for about no reason. The ac is present but i think my dogs breath would be better. Nothing against most of the staff, they just work there, but a lot of the leaders or owners are very pretentious and rude. Especially the downright cruel way they yell how much time you have left before they close, as if we're unwelcome. Vending machines always broken, no good lighting in the first place, favoritism, loud and obnoxious music. I'm grateful scad has a gym with weights at all, and I still prefer this to scadfit. It just needs alot of work before I'd be excited to go here. And don't even get me started on the inconvenient and uncooperative times and scheduling. And the hours are STILL really stupid and limited. Lazy.

NO AC! Nightmare hours, they got no excuse for not being able to be open late on weekends. Just hire locals if it’s some student based reason. Weights are difficult since they don’t have any holes in them and are too thick, setting up hip thrusts is very difficult, took me ten minutes to do so. Equipment is cheap. Very clean and good staff though

It’s not a bad gym, just bad hours. I am someone who NEEDS gym time for my brain to work so I can get through the quarter and the lack of hours has really been messing me up.

ClubScad has pretty much all the equipment you could ever need, and all very close by. The lockers work great, and the staff are nice.

(+)As opposed to earlier comments, my experiences with the staff were pleasant. They are usually helpful to their best knowledge.
(-) The place is small, with no chance to handle the large number of SCAD students not wanting to spend extra money on a gym membership, so there's no point of going in rush hour.
There are no showers.
There's one single dressing room.
Both the weekday and weekend opening hours are set up for people with 9-5 jobs, not students who try to juggle endless study and work hours.
Bottom line: Club SCAD is a placeholder for a real gym, SCAD's joke in bad taste/insult towards their students.

It's alright for being a private schools gym. Honestly I've seen better but it's holds up just fine.

Im A SCAD student so dear tourists this is not usable for you.
Its a really small gym but its really nice. It makes it so that i feel like more people are stareing at me. Especially because i only know how to use the treadmil. And theres no space for yoga

hey michael, the students are constantly taught about the dangers of the city etc so they were being safe plus the facilities of SCAD are for student and faculty use only it's a strict rule, so while the student could've been nicer with giving you directions, people who don't go to scad or work there aren't allowed to use anything of SCAD's

Absolutely horrible example of hospitality and how to raise our children. We've been to Savannah several times and were on our way to a late evening (8 pm) tour, we got a little lost and I had to use the restroom. Popped in here this evening and walked up to the young SCAD student admitting I was a tourist, lost and needed to use the restroom quite badly. Response I received, this is a private facility, sorry. I explained again we were lost, I was sorry, could I pay for a daily membership. No sir, you'll need to move along with a chuckle. Could you please direct me to the nearest facility. It's back that way, pointing back behind us. I asked could you give me directions. Her response again pointing back that way. Terrible example of the stewardship an institution and its students should display to a city that relies on tourism to get by. Your parents, your school and your city should be ashamed of you.
