I found this gym while changing up some of my habits (back in April 2023). I haven't left since. The gym is super laid back and manages to push you at the same time. the coaches want you to enjoy yourself, but make sure that you are properly working out, and helps you with your form as you progress.
There are a number of class times, but the best time to come is at 5am!

Great Gym! The coaches at this gym are very attentive. The workouts are challenging if you are an experienced CrossFitter. If you are a beginner or injured they do a GREAT job in helping you scale. An amazing community gym and everyone has been very welcoming.

This is a really friendly, clean environment with supportive coaches. I was looking for a challenge but wasn't sure about CrossFit, so I joined the Bootcamp program. It's been amazing at helping me return to strength training, and I lost 10% in body fat after three months of regular attendance! If you are intimidated by traditional CrossFit, try the Bootcamp! It's a great workout with really friendly people, and it's also very easy to transition to "regular" CrossFit, if you want to. LeAnn is easy to get in touch with and very welcoming. I also really like the location on Main Street in Tucker.

CrossFit Tucker is excellent! Leann is an amazing person who truly wants to see you succeed. Regular gyms didn’t work for me but Leann, her programs, and her coaches did! If I could give CrossFit Tucker more than 5 stars I would!

CrossFit Tucker has been an SUCH a welcoming and supportive community. The coaches have been extremely encouraging and understanding in working with me through the recovery of a bone marrow transplant. After ten months of NO activity and putting my body through intense treatment, I reached out to LeAnn to look at CrossFit workouts scaled back. It's now been 7 months and between the starter classes, personal training and now the regular classes, I've made tremendous strides. My doctors are exceptionally happy with my progress in what tends to be a very long and difficult rehabilitation period. Five months ago I couldn't run 200 meters without walking and now, I can run one mile continuously (and lift more than just the bar). I would highly recommend this community of lovely people and amazing coaches to help you meet your fitness goals. The coaches meet you at whatever point in life you find yourself and encourage you through it.

Dropped in this morning and had a great time. They are in a temporary space that was very small but I didn't notice after the initial walk in the door because all the people were so nice.

This place is an okay place to go when it comes to Fitness and Crossfit. I've been to a few boxes in my time and I've always had a great time and I've always been motivated but it's a little sad to say that I wasn't when I came here for a drop-in visit. It wasn't what I was specifically looking for but they had the good attendance for a 6 a.m. class

It was fun to try, people are friendly. I don't give 5 stars because my friends car got broken in. We called the police and never showed up, after talking with people from the warehouse in front of the gym they told us broking cars is an every week situation. But everything about the gym was grear

Fantastic gym, wonderful coaches and the other attendees treat you like family. You’re never alone in any workout, you’re pushed to your limits every day. But they don’t push you where you’re dead. Just enough to challenge you. If you want to be treated like family, get your sweat on and change your life. This is your gym. I don’t think anyone has ever taken a class and felt like an outsider. Come try a class and see the difference from this gym to others. Best decision I’ve made for myself.

Many recent improvements! New CFT owner Jeremy is investing in new equipment and added classes. Head Coach Philip programs challenging balanced WODs that are scalable. Coaches take the time to coach each person and genuinely care about helping everyone improve. They take to cover the movements every class making sure form is not compromised. Great CrossFit family too!

I have been a member of Crossfit Tucker since November of 2014 and can't say enough great things about the coaching, as well as the other members. If you are looking for a coach to take your excuses and not make you do the work, then you should go somewhere else. If you are looking for a knowledgeable coach to push you to your limits, believe in you, and most importantly, help you to believe in yourself, then Luke is your guy. There is a family vibe at CFT that is difficult to find in other Atlanta area gyms; everyone at the gym was welcoming from the first time I stepped foot in the door.

Please seriously re-consider if you are thinking about going to this gym as I did not have a good experience and this comment is based on my experience at the gym. I totally agree with the other reviewer in that the owner, Luke Davis definitely have anger management issues. Myself along with other gym members have discussed on several occasions how Luke can be extremely mean and rude and can does not do a good job explaining the work out, all the while I would be the one taking up for him!!! When I asked questions or did not get the workout according to how fast Luke felt I should, Luke would be rude or disrespectful. Additionally, I have observed with other female members that Luke will definitely focus more on the men during the work outs.

I was going to the gym for a whole year faithfully, when I was told by Luke not to come back after I left the gym 6 minutes early in front of the entire gym. He told me that I was not committed and should not come back. When I emailed him about how I was embarrassed and saddened at how I was treated, he did not take any responsibility for his actions but instead told me that I am not committed because I only come 3 days a week instead of 4 days and that my priorities in life are questionable due to me wanting to get to work on time but can not stay for the complete work out or get to the gym on time. He did not care that someone who faithfully we paid good money for a year was leaving. He often says that crossfit is expensive and he provides the best deal, but what is wrong with showing respect to people and providing good customer service? Additionally, $120.00 to $150.00 a month is not cheap although some may feel that it is.

I stayed for the year due to the connections and friends I made, and, I bit my tongue several times when he is constantly rude. There are several gyms in the area that are better. The other trainers are great, and if you go to the evening classes you should be fine. But trust me when I say that Luke Davis is bad news. If you have another gym in mind, I suggest you go there. Hopefully the Luke Davis can get some personality adjustments and your experience is better.

I highly recommend CrossFit Tucker. An incredible community of people work out here. The owner, Luke Davis is extremely passionate about CrossFit and CrossFit Tucker. Luke is an outstanding coach and works hard to do what is in the best interest of his clients. Much emphasis is placed on correct form with the CrossFit movements to ensure safety in the gym. I wouldn't work out anywhere else!

I joined Crossfit Tucker about two months ago and have been very pleased. From my initial contact with the owner Luke I was told that I'd have to commit to at least 3-4 days per week in order for it to be worth my time and money. Luke explains this up front so that you don't have unrealistic expectations of what's required to benefit from Crossfit. I live far from the Crossfit Tucker, but work down the street from it. I normally would only come to the office three times a week and work from home the rest. When I began Crossfit I started three days a week, the same days I came into the office. However, Luke said that he really wanted me to do four days a week, so I've given up one of my work from home days and now come into the office four days a week so that I can do Crossfit four days. I referred a friend to Crossfit Tucker, but she could only commit to 1-2 days per week. Luke explained to her that Crosffit Tucker would not be the best place for her and her feeling were hurt, but I explained to her that he does not want to waste anyone's time or money because they would not benefit from 1 or 2 days per week and he tells this to everyone. If you're not going to be committed to doing at least 3-4 days a week then no, I would say Crossfit Tucker is not for you. But, if you will be committed then it's a great place to workout. Also, as a woman I can say that Luke does not focus solely on the men. As a newbie I feel like he actually focuses more on those that are newer to make sure we're doing things correctly, however, I see him interacting with everyone and gives feedback to everybody. He has a great attitude and I've seen him be nothing but pleasant to everyone.

I joined the summer Crossfit Tucker opened and haven't looked back. It's more than a 'gym', its a community that supports and encourages each other, even on our off days. Coach Luke puts his heart and soul into it. Coach Nicole is willing to do everything necessary (even helping me with my food journal!) to help you succeed. Everyone is welcoming and nonjudgmental. Is it an expense? Yes. Is it TOTALLY worth a shot? Yes! Will you feel AWESOME after a WOD? YES!

Dear Reviewer,

My wife and I started at CrossFit Tucker (aka) CFT in December 2012 - present. It was my wife's suggestion to try CrossFit. We were getting tired of doing home workouts and wanted to give CrossFit a shot.

We looked for places around our house and found CFT. My first interaction with Luke was over the phone. He is a good communicator was very courteous addressed me respectfully and invited us to come and try CFT no obligations. We met Luke in person the following day and really liked his honest and frank attitude and really felt comfortable. At no point Luke ever tried to pressure us to join CFT. He actually encouraged us to look around other CrossFit places in the area.

In addition, Luke mentioned his expectations very clearly that he is passionate on helping people improve and help individuals achieve their fitness goals. He mentioned that if you are not serious about your health than I have no incentive to be serious about your health and well-being. Luke takes great pride in teaching, coaching and helping people overcome challenges. This was very clear from the day we started. Luke has a military background so he is very disciplined and is very straight forward in his thoughts. He will not beat around the bush and will clear communicate his expectation.

Before starting our work out he explained clearly on how the workouts are structured, what to expect, aligned the workout based on individual level of experience and explained things very clearly. Luke is great at quickly identifying areas of improvement and suggests ideas and techniques to address the same.

Fast Forward two years and we are still working out with Luke. Luke is practically family. Luke continues to help us and make us better athletes. I did read some negative reviews on the site and it’s simply sad to see people leave such unfounded reviews and completely bash and establishment such as CFT.
CFT is awesome.

The people here our awesome and Luke is the best coach hands down. If you want to constantly improve and keep challenging yourself and grow. CFT is the place where you will thrive. If you want to chit chat and goof around this is not the place for you.

As a woman in my mid-50s, I knew I needed to add to my running routine if I wanted to maintain fitness at my age. I began Crossfit with no weight training experience. I was blown away by Luke’s enthusiasm & the encouragement of all the other athletes. I am now stronger & more fit than ever before. I can do things I never thought possible. After years of the same, boring exercise routine, I am loving the variety Luke builds into the daily workouts. I hate it when I have to miss a day. Even though I am literally old enough to be the mother of more than half the people at the gym, I am never ignored or shunned or left out. I always feel coached & challenged & encouraged. My 5 adult children are super proud of their fit mom, thanks to the CFT family.

I was quite intimidated when I first walked into the door at Crossfit Tucker, being totally new to Crossfit and weight training. The coaches and fellow athletes were very welcoming and I quickly came to feel a part of the great community here. Coach Luke and others helped me to view myself as an athlete and to make my fitness a priority -- not an easy thing to do as a small business owner and mother of two! The coaches have been very accommodating, encouraging, and very informative. I've even been able to bring my toddler with me when childcare fell through. I love the coaching style here... the workouts are tough, but it is awesome to have the encouragement and training from coaches that know your strengths and weaknesses and celebrate new accomplishments with you. I've been an athlete at Crossfit Tucker for over a year and love it!

I have been with CrossFit Tucker since July 2014. I had been working with a personal trainer one-on-one for about a year prior. I was not seeing the results I wanted so I explored the idea of joining CrossFit. There were several places in the area but CrossFit Tucker was the best choice. My first day was very welcoming and I never felt pressured to 'hurry and catch up' to the level of the more experienced CrossFitters. Luke Davis (Head Coach/Owner) always gives me advice on form and scaled routines where I need them. He pushes everyone to always do their best as any good coach should. CrossFit is not for everyone - It is work and requires a certain level of commitment if you are going to see results. If you are looking for a challenge and a fun workout - I recommend trying CrossFit Tucker.

I've been at Crossfit Tucker since August of 2013. Prior to joining, I worked out for years, but in the standard gym atmosphere doing bench press, bicep curls, etc. I was starting grad school, so I had very limited time to work out, so I needed something I could get in and get done in an hour. I found Crossfit Tucker and contacted Luke. I came in for my free trial and loved it. He didn't pressure me at all to sign up. I don't think I could ever go back to a LA Fitness type gym. It's truly humbling to come in and realize how far off you are in terms of fitness. Luke emphasizes form and the mobility needed to execute the movements correctly. Crossfit isn't for everybody - it's hard work and challenging, but if you stick with it it's so rewarding!

The people at Crossfit Tucker are awesome. That's one of the many benefits of Crossfit - the community. I workout at the 6am class and knowing I'm going to see familiar faces and work out with a group of people who are committed like me helps me show up and stick with it. I love my 6am family.

If you're considering Crossfit, I definitely recommend giving Crossfit Tucker a try. You've got a free trial and absolutely zero pressure to commit, so there's really no reason not to try it! You'll ease into it slowly so you understand the movements, form, etc and the people at the gym will definitely make you feel welcome!
