Quick story time… Recently my almost 10-year-old was at a local park. He was playing an impromptu baseball game with some random kids at the park. During the game, one of the kids (who was around 12 years old) got upset about a play and told my son he was going to “beat him up”. My son replied, “I’m not scared of you.” The kid threw a punch, and my son instinctually grabbed his arm and pushed him down. The kid was stunned! He wasn’t expecting that. And guess what? He left my son alone!

I credit his self-defense technique to the training received at Davis Martial Arts. (He’s been a student with them for approximately 6 years.) This family-owned business is truly a gem! You can feel the care, pride and personal touch in everything they do. I’m so glad we found them and would 1,000% recommend Davis Martial Arts to family and friends.

5 stars is not enough to give this studio. This is a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ran by a sweet family. My daughter attends Davis Marial Arts studio, and could not be happier there. I highly recommend them for Summer camp also!

Son is five and my wife requested to cancel over phone but was told a 30day notice and an in person cancellation is requested. We were charged regardless of the facts that we called the day of charge & this was his first activity, he lost interest after one month. Our first child, first activity and big lesson for our future.

Davis Martial Arts is a very Great after School program for kid. My sons Leo learn alot from here. The Team is supper Kind . Love the fact of my son goes here everyday after school. Mr Davis took my son home one time due to my family emergency. Highly recommended to anyone who need after school service.

My son has been going to Davis for four years and loves it. When we started looking for after school places a lot where overpriced. I love Davis they are fairly priced and my son gets to learn a new skill and grow in his lesson of karate. The staff at Davis is great and when Covid hit and we started returning to normal life they had the proper protocol in place to keep the kids safe. The staff also gets to knows the parents and have great communication, which I love. If you are looking for an after-school program where your child will learn discipline, respect, and make great friendships with a great staff I would highly recommend.

The reason why we joined Davis karate was because my daughter was being bullied at an after school program. I wanted to build her confidence and have her learn self discipline at the same time. I’m so glad someone recommended this karate gem. My daughter has a lot more confidence now and works hard to achieve the belt ranks. We took advantage of their after school pickup services and summer camp. The program is wonderful and the staff cares a lot about the children. I can’t thank the staff enough for instilling such positivity in my child.

Hi, my daughter has been going to Davis martial arts for a couple years now, and my daughter love it. I love it because they really do well with the children and work together as a team. They taught my daughter a lot, she is more open and not shy as she used to be she’s also learning how to work well with others and even enjoy teaching the little ninjas or just assisting with the class. She started wanting to do one event in the competitions to now wanting to do all three events. Their afterschool program is wonderful, they’re older and younger teachers make sure the kids do their after school homework. I love that as well, because my daughter knows that hass to be done in order to stay in to the martial art class and keep up the grades. I also love Davis martial arts because I have went through a several tense surgeries and at times things have been hard with my schedule and I maturity make sure my child is there on time and attend and I just want to thank them for the patience and assistance. I also wanna say I am glad this is one sport that she sticking to. LOL

Our Send it has been attending Davis Martial Arts since he was 4. He started out taking their weekly evening classes (little ninjas), and now attends their summer camp and after school program. The teachers and team at Davis Martial Arts to do an amazing job at keeping him on his toes, making sure that he continues to advance in their practice, all while focusing on discipline a good behavior. They also do a wonderful job and making sure that the students have fun during classes, and they provide monthly movie night and evening events for the kids to just come and have fun.

My husband I decided to leave Davis Karate after three blatantly disrespectful/insensitive encounters with Ms. Stevens. Our boys started in February 2022. First, I needed to use Davis Karate’s changing rooms for my sons before classes began. Ms. Stevens questioned why I hadn’t changed them before arriving. I found this to be surprising. Some days, families are busy and can’t go home before arriving at an extracurricular activity. The facility has two changing rooms. Why was I questioned about using the changing rooms? Second, our youngest son( who receives speech services) excitedly spoke to Ms Stevens one afternoon. She dismissed him, and told me, “ I didn’t understand a word he said”. Wow! As a person that works with kids as young as 4 years old, she should be more sensitive to younger participants. Third, yesterday at 4:48 pm (class begins at 5:15 pm) my sons and I were leaving the barbershop and heading to Davis Karate. Ms. Stevens was exiting the After School entrance and immediately stated the following, “ Class doesn’t start until 5:15. You can’t come in there now; we have things going on. Go sit in your car or something”. She never greeted me or my children. Who does that? We are paying customers. Furthermore, Ms. Stevens didn’t know where we were going. I could have been going to the gas station to get a quick snack for my children. Hopefully, this will be addressed, but my family will not wait for the resolution.

Finding Davis Martial Arts was the best thing ever! My son has been attending their after-school program since he was in kindergarten and he is starting fourth grade now. The staff is friendly, the building is clean and inviting and they're always as accommodating as they can be no matter what challenges they're faced with. Throughout this whole pandemic they have done everything they could to help parents keep childcare while also maintaining the safety and health of the children. This is most incredible place for children to grow into confident and capable young adults. We began sending our girls almost two years ago and we all couldn’t be happier. Davis martial arts exceed all my expectations of this learning experience for my wonderful little boy. I can whole-heartedly, without hesitation and with pleasure recommend this place to anyone who is considering martial arts for their children.

They ve such wonderful staff who deal superbly with the kids ,my son Hasnain is
at his early age, learning about trust in himself and others. He is learning to participate in making his own path. Honestly, I find it amazing. Students here are not only learning Martial Arts skills, they are taught the respect and self-discipline, cooperation and listening skills all of which can be fun too. Staff and advanced student helpers are professional and encouraging constantly. You literally can watch the self-esteem of each child grow a little bit higher in every class. Best of all…it’s fun.

This school has the most dedicated and knowledgeable instructors around. Master Davis built this school on her many years of experience and family values and has certainly created the best school in the area. Summer Camp and After School programs are great leadership opportunities for kids, and I have seen first hand how much of an effect these two programs have on the kiddos (and the kids have a ton of fun to boot). The adult classes are great as well! I can tell you from experience, it’s never to late to start!

Today I experienced and witness the most disturbing and disrespectful manner in regard to this location. For a place to teach respect and discipline the owner had none of the above.
She's basically running a money camp from my observation. I am a clinical therapist, a grown mother of four children whose oldest is in High school. I may look a lot younger than I am which shouldn't have given her an okay anyways to speak to me the way she did.
I have a client who attends her camp that I came to observe today, he's autistic so he may need to be handled with a lot differently that a regular child.
I've witness young children being camp staff and not being trained to handle stressful situations. Today I witness the young staff power struggle and handled my client in such an inappropriate way I didn't believe it. Dragging him and tough handling him to get him to sit down. I watched it for a while to see if she may have been able to get him to sit down. The behaviors got worse and so was her response in the way she handled him.
When I stepped into the building to address my clients and his behavior also to speak with staff the owner told me in the most disgusting way to get out because her staff got things to do. The manner and disrespect I encountered in front all the children she's teaching Karate to was so shameful.
I will never have anyone so unprofessional with my child ever. And I will be right a report with dcyf on this camp and what I've witnessed.
