I really enjoy this gym!!!! They have all the amenities I have looked for in a gym and they aren't far from my home. The guys that run the front desk are easy to work with and do their job well!!! I started working with a personal trainer back at the end of March and I highly recommend, Thaila Mathis, if you are looking to add some personal training into your workout regimen!!! The bathrooms are always nice and clean and the equipment is pretty well maintained!!! I have found this place to be pretty affordable with everything they offer. They also offer a variety of workout classes and so there's a little something for everyone!!!

I had a disappointing and frustrating experience with Calvin, who claimed to be a manager at the gym. One day, when I came in to work out with my best friend, he pulled me aside and accused me of writing a negative review on Google. I was completely caught off guard—I had no idea what he was referring to, and I told him as much. Despite my honesty, he insisted I was lying and even accused me of having another account that I had lied about my age with, which I had no reason or motivation to do.
I tried to reason with him calmly, but it quickly became clear that he wasn’t interested in hearing me out. His attitude was dismissive and confrontational, so I chose to brush it off, due to the fact that I hadn’t posted any review.
Later, I double-checked my Google account and confirmed that no such review had ever been written by me. On a separate day, I returned to the gym to try and clear things up with him again, only to be met with the same accusations. He continued to claim I was lying and told me I would remain blacklisted unless the review that I had no control over whatsoever was removed.
This experience has shown me how unprofessional and unreasonable the management can be. If they believe you’ve done something—even without any proof—they may blacklist you and refuse to have a rational conversation about it. Being accused and coerced over something I didn’t do has left a very negative impression, especially considering how much I used to love this gym.
If a single review matters more to management than the truth or customer relationships, here’s some honest feedback for you: do better.

It’s decent gym with a good amount of advanced equipment for those looking to dive deeper in to the workout lifestyle. Good Atmosphere with employees and trainers that are really nice. It also has a Pool, a Sauna, and Steam Room. It has a daycare for parents who need a spot to have there kids while they get a quick workout in. Only came down for Xmas and wanted to do the 3 day trial. So I went in person and filled out the form via the bar code just to find out that a 3 day trial pass is only limited to staffed hours.. So I asked how much a week pass would be and they said 60 for one week, then I asked how much for a day pass and they said 20. I them asked them how much the one month membership was, and they said 120 dollars for one month. I ran into people who have a membership and they pay less than 40 a month. And yes this is the 1440 fitness inside the Dalton mall in Georgia. Absolutely ridiculous...

Look I love this place and I’m happy the there is finally a sign that shows the staffed hours, but… the staff doesn’t follow them. I’ve been kicked out of the sauna numerous time at 9 even though it says they’ll be there till 11pm Monday through Friday. If people are going to leave at 9 at least change the staffed hours. It’s frustrating when the only thing you practically come for is the sauna and you can’t even use it because staff wants to leave early

The sauna is now open 24/7 but it is just on a trial run. Hopefully it stays like this. This makes it a lot less frustrating when trying to enjoy the sauna

I had to go into the mall, and there was this big door that was inviting me in. It was the outside public door that went through the Fitness 1440 gym to the mall. I was noticing the nice gym equipment as I walked through and the nice juice bar. I was thinking to myself "what a nice place" However I was chased down before I got the public mall door. This girl who was at the front desk came after me with a vengeance asking me if I had a membership and if not "you can't walk into the mall through the gym because it was privately owned". (All stores in the mall are privately owned). I told her that fact, then she said "it's like you walked through a back door where employees go in". I said no, it's a public entrance which invites non-members to try out the Juice bar on a big sign outside and inside. She said the manager made this policy and would I like to speak to him. I said no but was quite shaken. If he said that, he should be replaced. I have walked through mall doors that had a business like JC Penny's or Sears an have never been told in over 40 years that I had to go around to some other door to get into the mall. If you don't want people to see your product, which is called advertising, and lose a customer or a referral by telling them off. Then put a sign on your door that says "No Trespassing because this is privately owned and you can't see what we have to offer because we have so much business that we don't need yours!"

I genuinely liked the 2 group fitness classes I went to here, but that was the only positive I see at this gym. I’m someone who generally does cardio when I come to the gym, plus maybe two weight sessions a week, and I’ve been disappointed to find out that almost all of the treadmills are broken. I tried not one, but six different treadmills today, only to find none of them worked, while four others had “error” on the display, and the rest that weren’t taken had “out of order signs taped to them (about three were taken up by people actually running). Lots of the weight machines have holes in the cushions or are kind of janky, but still do their jobs. My boyfriend who generally does strength training with free weights came with me twice as a guest (all right, the free guest passes are nice, I’ll also give them that), and he also said he was surprised by the low quality of the equipment. It’s also kind of cramped into a small space, but that never bothered me personally with the types of workouts I did. I’ll only be going here until I can find a better option and then will cancel my membership asap.

Night staff deserves 0 stars. Always on phone the entire shift. Don't clean bathrooms, don't put paper towels in dispensers, the bathrooms are always filthy. I’ve been in this gym for 4 months to be exact. The gyn has good space and weight equipment. I would give 3 more stars if only the mens restrooms where cleaned which they are not, the cardio machines are slowly going down, and lastly the sauna…. I pay biweekly fee, as stated is a 24/7 facility and sauna should be open. When it’s closed I tell the employees and they are clueless they state they don’t have the key to open it. This gym is falling apart and the staff does nothing to fix it except slap a out of order sticker on their machine and leave it there broken for months. The treadmills are even worse they randomly shut off while sprinting and one has been ripped for what feels like months. Poor experience. Misleading information was given from the very beginning. Most of the classes cost extra money even with a membership. Broken machines, broken tanning bed, broken spa, dirty locker rooms and bathrooms… the list goes on. I’ve been a member for a total of 3 weeks and moving somewhere else. I did a month-to-month membership and I’m still being charged $55 more to cancel even though I was told I could cancel any time with no penalty. I will have paid a total of $75 for THREE weeks.

I had torn ligaments in my foot months ago requested to cancel they put it on hold and told me I would be called before starting it up again and being charged. I have been calling and coming in a few times a week they have yet to resolve it and I have been charged again. 10/10 do not recommend. Anyone can sign you up but only one person can cancel your membership that is never at work? Seems like a great scam to me!

I think equipment needs better maintenance as some appliances are somewhat rusty and difficult to use and do not leave the weights on the equipment

If interested you can always do a trial run, and if you sign up you do get a free personal training session. Highly recommend this is worth a trial at least.
