First, the gym is currently operating at a two star capacity but I received 5 star service from Princess - the sauna has been dirty for quite some time. I spoke to Aliyah about it 3 weeks ago and was told “we’re working on it”. Saturday, I mentioned it to Princess, she promised to get it addressed and it was mopped within 15 minutes. Thank you PRINCESS!

About the facility- it’s a nice facility that’s on a downward spiral. 1) weights are never organized and scattered everywhere (Occasionally I do see Aliyah trying to at least rack them) 2) the machines are dirty and some needing repair (of 4 Schwinn bikes upstairs 3 need repairs) 3) the saunas only get mopped after begging and pleading & the showers and locker room need consistent, thorough cleaning. They’re currently using the same dirty water & mop pictured 4) all of this and my “Founder’s” rate has already increased 50% in less than two yrs. PLEASE DO BETTER

Suggestions: 1) develop a daily and weekly check list for the cleaning team that is signed off on and collected for accountability 2) reactivate Team Clean at least once per shift 3) go through the entire gym and reorganize the weights properly 4) engage with clients and personally ask them to re-rack weights 5) train staff to go through locker rooms regularly and close lockers and tidy up (I do this myself so surely the staff can too)

I have been going to this gym for a really long time and I am pleasure pleased at the employees that work there! They are all very sweet. I have trained with Rodney and he is the best, great personality and very friendly. I know lots of other trainers as well and people that go to that gym who are very sweet and easy to talk to. I have attended many of the training classes as well and I enjoy them very much; they sure do make you sweat. I also know Angel very well, I have talked to him a couple times and I have seen him work at the front desk, he is very sweet and very welcoming when people come in as well as when people are leaving. I would highly recommend going to this gym, as you would have lots of fun and enjoy working out with people there!

Day one today at Fitness Connection after recently moving near by. There is so much great feedback to give. The gym is large and has just about everything you could ask for in a gym. Huge free weight section, tons of squat racks and benches, functional fitness area, group fitness studios, and basketball court. The locker rooms are also large and well maintained, complete with a dry sauna. And everything was CLEAN! Best part is that you get access to all of this under a $30/month membership (less if you commit to an annual contract). Blown away by the value this gym provides!

Melissa at the front counter is great and the gym/equipment overall is awesome. The bathroom (female) however can use more attention. They have “cleaners,” 2 in particular (a male and female) however they spend the ENTIRE TIME on their phones in the cleaning supply closet every time I’m there, which is 5 days a week 1.5 to 2.5 hours. I wish that they would spend some time actually cleaning.

UPDATE: The 2 attendants who never cleaned are no longer here. The replacements are doing an amazing job keeping the gym clean 🤗! I love it here!

A $700 Lesson in DISRESPECT, DISORGANIZATION, and DECEPTION! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH ELEVATE FITNESS and FITNESS CONNECTION!!!!!!

My name is Rashay Maxwell, and this review is based on my direct experience with Elevate Fitness at Fitness Connection Stone Mountain. I’m writing this because every private channel failed, local management, corporate for both companies, and even a direct email to the CEO, all ignored me/mishandled the communication.

I paid $700 cancellation fee for what was supposed to be personal training and instead received a chaotic, unprofessional experience that completely derailed my fitness goals and left me feeling exploited and disrespected.

From the start, Elevate Fitness operated with zero consistency or accountability. Within just two months, I had two different trainers, each with different methods, making it impossible to maintain progress. Don't worry their contract states they can change trainers at anytime during your contract. One of the trainers left because a payment discrepancy and I should have known that the integrity of Elevate Fitness is in the dumps since then. Despite paying for one-on-one personal training, I was often crammed into sessions with five or more people sometimes up to ten clients per trainer because of the lack of trainers. They cram as many people into a session because they incentive trainers to earn more money from the pennies they pay them $17 per client so those trainers need to stack up clients to make anything. This is not personal training, it’s a group fitness class masquerading as premium service.

When my work hours were cut due to company restructuring in June, I immediately reached out to freeze my account so I wouldn’t be charged unnecessarily. Elevate clearly is not responsible for my underemployment but the lack of compassion during that time was glaring. I followed every instruction I was given, yet Elevate charged my card anyway. What followed was an exhausting cycle of ignored emails, vague responses, and unprofessional text messages from staff who clearly didn’t care about providing real help or customer service.

At one point, a manager texted me that it was her “day off” as an excuse for not helping when she could have simply contacted me on her scheduled day of work, she already didnt contact me for almost three weeks I could have waited longer. SMH I had to send multiple follow-up emails just to get basic payment instructions from their customer service. Despite my patience and constant attempts to resolve this professionally, I was met with silence, deflection, and disrespect.

Even though I still have unused sessions owed to me, (at least 12 sessions) I’ve chosen to walk away entirely. That’s how toxic and unprofessional this experience became. The stress and lack of integrity from this company outweighed any benefit I could have gotten from their training.

To anyone considering Elevate Fitness or Fitness Connection: learn from my $700 mistake which is consumer debt that I had to put on a credit card. They dangle your financial livelihood over your head. Their sales pitch sounds great, but once they have your money and signed contract you’re on your own. Expect confusion, disorganization, and no accountability.

I’ve contacted both Elevate Fitness corporate and Fitness Connection corporate, and neither have taken responsibility or offered to make this right. I emailed the CEO Justin, IGNORED! That silence says everything you need to know about how they value their customers. Fitness Connection has tried "separate" themselves from their vendor but consistently funnel leads of new members to Elevate to generate business. Very scummy play and the gym is simply okay.

This entire ordeal was emotionally draining, financially exploitative, and completely avoidable had anyone at Elevate Fitness simply shown professionalism and integrity.

I’m so glad they showed us who they were there first time we met them. Husband and I live a few minutes away and came for a tour. We were met with the most unfriendly, unwelcoming manager. A mediocre gym with basic amenities that isn’t open 24 hours and doesn’t even open on time can’t afford to also have lackluster customer service. I’m glad they didn’t fake the funk though… we left and joined a 24-hour gym a little further from home.

I love this gym. The price is great but even better is what you get for the price. Classes you don't have to sign up for that really help you reach your goals faster. The infrared sauna is the best.There are a wide variety of machines for both cardio and resistance training. I especially love the womens fitness area for the days I prefer not to engage with many people but still want all my resistance training needs met. And most of all the team members like Monique are responsive, kind, and always make me feel welcomed. Oh yes and the gym is CLEAN. - Group fitness areas (upstairs and downstairs) can be sanitized better such as the equipments and the ground be swept/mopped.
- Sauna to be sanitized more frequently.
- Scotch is one of the best trainers , main reason MOST people attend group fitness classes . He needs more sessions !
- Early morning group classes can be 6:30am or 7am, 6am is a bit too early especially as we approach winter season .
- Air fresheners can be placed in locker rooms/ bathrooms .

I come here 3-4 times a week but today I'm disappointed. The $10 a month reeled me in and of course after joining the fee went up to $15. But Ok no problem. They don't open til 5am unlike the other place that's open 24 hrs. But ok no problem. But when members depend on the opening time to be 5am to workout shower and get to work.....opening after 6am is a huge problem. I actually arrived at 5am and waited til 6am and I had to leave because it still wasn't open. Members are standing outside sharing stories of how frequently this happens. This is BAD BUSINESS. Wake up opening attendant!!! I'll try it again tomorrow i guess 🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

I absolutely love my gym and the community of people who attend — it’s a great environment and I truly enjoy being a part of it. However, I’m really disappointed by the inconsistency in opening on time. This morning was about the third or fourth time I’ve shown up at 5 AM (after waking up at 4:30!) only to find the doors still locked. It’s frustrating to plan my day around an early workout and not be able to get in. I really hope management can address this issue because everything else about this gym is great.

Sitting here with other people at 5:37 am and there's no one here to open the gym. People pay good money for the gym to open up and open on time. My time is valuable and so is other people's. I hear this is not the first time this has happened. I do go out of my way to go to this gym, but i will consider one that is closer and that will open on time consistently. All of can do now is shower and go to work. Please do better
