My daughter has been at Georgia Academy of Dance for about 3 years now. It has become her home away from home. The expertise of the teachers is always the best, along with their unwavering support and encouragement. The performances they put on throughout the year are the best in the area, and so much fun to watch and be a part of. They offer a more wide-rage of classes than most places, along with plenty of opportunities to further her dance career. It truly has been blessing for her to have the opportunity to dance here.

So thankful for the dance education provided at GAD for both of my girls! My oldest is now in her 11th season of dance at GAD, and she has learned so much from the teachers who have both encouraged and challenged her to become a better dancer. Our dancer has been at GAD for thirteen years, the last three being a part of their GDT Company. The classes offered here are amazing, from the Mommy & Me all the way up to their top level Pre-Professional classes and Conservatory program. The GAD teachers are a perfect example of professionalism in the dance community, and mentors to the dancers.
Dancing has been a long time dream for our dancer and this is the best place for her to be to get the training needed to peruse it.

Our daughter has attended GAD for the past 10 seasons and she has received top- notch training that has allowed her to grow into a beautiful, well-rounded dancer and to attend top ballet intensives in the US to further enhance her training. My family moved to the area about a year ago and we needed to find a new studio for our daughters dance. We were worried that no where would be as good as where she had danced in the past.
Georgia Academy of Dance has far exceeded our expectations. They have a wonderful staff of caring and talented professionals, and the atmosphere of other student dancers and parents is incredibly welcoming and warm. It is a great environment with modern dance instruction and engaging instructors. Two boys and two girls have taken classes here and had a wonderful time. It is a classical studio that I am proud to have my daughters attend (and they loved it). Nothing cringy here. Only classy.

The shows are outstanding. We have had guests we bring over the years always comment along the lines of "oh, I had no idea that it was so professional". The shows are major productions and amazing to watch.

I have been at this place for 8 whole years of my life and not once have they treated me or anyone else I know badly. The teaching is immaculate, though some teachers may be more strict than others. They're all really cool though, you'll likely attach yourself to one or more of them. They all have a unique way of teaching, and GAD even has a boutique in which you can buy leotards, tights, and any shoes you need. You can also choose which classes to choose from: hiphop, pointe, contemporary, ballet, jazz, modern, tap, etc. Can't forget how they also teach some musical instruments, too! I love this place, I don't think I'm ever leaving it. 🧡

I have 2 daughters who are in their 5th year at GAD, and we have taken classes at both the Newnan and Peachtree City studios. When we first started here, we were a little intimidated by the size of the dance school, but we're so glad that we chose this place over other dance studios. The owner, the instructors, and the Georgia Dance Theatre company members here are all incredible role models to my daughters. They provide my children with a top notch quality of dance instruction, support, and inspiration. My daughters have grown so much over the years in their dance technique, but what they have gained here is more than just dance skills. They learned the importance of commitment, goal-setting, teamwork, time management, healthy eating, taking care of their mind and body, self-expression, self-confidence. They provide a progression track here that is built from a solid foundation and is very age appropriate. To be a part of the very professional performances at GAD is truly an honor.

Moving into the metro-Atlanta area, we wanted to find the right place for our daughter to continue dancing and further develop those skills. From experience, we knew a few things that we wanted and didn’t want: we wanted professional instructors and not just nice teachers with degrees. We also wanted quality programs instead of the “everyone is a star” kinds of stuff. Truthfully, we wanted our daughter to be pushed and to strive for success (even while experiencing occasional defeat) rather than to be rewarded unrealistically; this better prepares her for the real world. Of course when she was little, we wanted her to have fun and be happy. As she’s gotten older we believe that if it’s worth doing - it’s worth her best efforts.

For us, Georgia Academy of Dance (GAD) was the perfect blend of professionalism and youth instruction. We are so happy that we found them - they bring out the best in our daughter. When we looked online at the biography of the director and teachers we knew that this academy was the real thing, but we have since discovered the wonderful GAD community and its leadership which is both kindhearted and approachable. At every age, every level, kids are affirmed and challenged. Our high school daughter is growing and developing beautifully - GAD has been instrumental in her success. GAD will bring out the best in your child in more ways than just excellent dancing.

Georgia Academy of Dance helped mold me into the person I am today. They taught me to be disciplined and to work hard for my goals and dreams. My daughters have attended Georgia Academy of Dance and the Performing Arts for 10 years. One has graduated and started college while the other is currently enrolled. Not only have my daughters excelled at dance due to the wonderful and incredible teachers and staff here but they have learned invaluable life lessons and skills they would not have received anywhere else.
