Not my favorite, but not horrible. Ray has a pretty fair and unbiased mind frame. See him to sign up. He sees things for what they are without swinging his opinion to far to the left or to far to the right. He has my respect. Some members could be more respectful to the gym equipment that costs alot of money to repair/put in the gym. Great for strength training, fitness or just trying to build some muscle. Used to be a gold's gym and still has a little bit of that atmosphere left. If you are in Acworth and serious about training, this is the best gym in the town.

Nice owner. The place have a lot of different machines but not enough space for doing self workout. There's 3 Tvs upstairs that only play Fox news and 1 Spanish speaking tv. Overall, a pretty decent experience but it would have been nicer if there was a pool. It's convenient because it's not too far from home.

I started going here in January. It’s a very affordable gym for everything that’s included with your membership. My daughter loves the childcare that they have there. They offer a good amount of classes that’s included in membership. You have 24 hour access to the gym which is a bonus. All of the staff is very friendly. The owner is awesome and understanding.

Paid for one year of membership and had to cancel before my year was up, I asked for a prorated refund. The gym refused to give me my money back. For this reason and others, such as treadmills suddenly stopping while you’re running because a breaker has tripped. In my opinion this gym is a scam, they will be happy to steal your money when you try to cancel. Do not go here!

Started in mid-December. 63 year old looking to get fit after being a couch potato for a few years. So I signed up for 12 Personal Training lessons with Mark Whatley. He knows his stuff. Mark set me on a path of understanding muscle groups and how to exercise the groups individually. Mark set up a rotational plan for me and demonstrated each exercise for the plans he developed. Since then I've more than doubled my lifting weights, stuck to his plan and have seen huge improvements. I highly recommend Mark as a PT and the gym is amazing. Never crowded, always open, clean, great machine and free weight selections and fun to go to.

Awesome place! Everybody here is super motivated in their fitness goals, and it shows. It's an incredible environment that motivates me even further to achieve my health and body goals. I've been coming here for a little over a year now after my friend convinced me to come here instead of a commercial gym, and it's by far the best gym I've been to. The variety of equipment available, the atmosphere, and the community are all fantastic. Ray has also been great when helping me to initially sign up, as well as renewing my membership. I joined Ga Fitness a little over a year ago and it is by far the best gym I have been to. The owners, Mark and Ray, are really friendly and engaging, the staff is always friendly and attentive. I see this place has great reviews and I dont doubt that people have had great experiences here but I a black man walked into this establishment and stood by an empty counter for an extending amount of time without any acknowledgement. It was blatantly disrespectful and rude in my opinion. What’s crazy is as my disable brother was walking to find rr 2 workers in a room to the left saw him and asked how can we help you and my brother responded exactly “my brother is looking to inquire about this gym and I’m looking for rr”. The 2 guys sitting down gives him directions to rr and continues to ignore me for a long period of time. A white lady then walks in and he proceeds to assist her before me without ever acknowledging me. I don’t want to call race but it’s obvious they did not want my business. It’s 2023 guys, come on let’s get over this and learn to love and respect others. So sad but I doubt I will be returning.

I had a hard time canceling my membership more than one year ago. You need to let them know one month in advance if you need to cancel, or they will charge you the next month too.
I had forgotten about this place, but recently I received a charge from them, I called them to stop the charge, and they told me they would call me back but they didn't. I had to call them back, and I explained him the unauthorized charge in my bank account. I told him to stop the charge before it was posted in my bank account, and he told me not to worry about it, he would take care of it. He didn't!!!!! It was posted days ago, and now I had to call the bank to dispute the transaction. I still have to deal with them after more than one year of canceling my membership. I need my money back and delete all my information from your system!

If you like group classes, this place has some of the best instructors I have ever seen. You will leave with that burn in all the right places. The gym is clean and well equipped.
I did have a problem with billing, and unfortunately had to deal with Ray who was extremely unprofessional. Mark, the owner, called me and did everything right to fix things, which is why I edited my review back to 5 stars. It's not often you find an owner who cares about his place as much as Mark does.

All their workout classes are amazing but “Kill” Jill has the craziest workout class. It reminds me of when I did competitive cheer. I thought I didn’t sweat, but this class proved me wrong. Also, they have a student discount here. I moved here from the YMCA, and it’s so refreshing to have a gym that isn’t so strict. Also crunch fitness sucks. And so does the local gym. This gym is by far the best in Cobb county.

The only reason I left off the fifth star is because their water fountains didn't work are you serious. Ray and the staff are always so nice and welcoming every time we walk in the facility. One thing we love the most about GA Fitness is the variety of equipment and machines. If you become a member, you will notice they are always adding and changing out machines to make sure you are working out on the BEST equipment! The gym also offers professional stretching, massaging, group fitness classes, and personal training services by well-trained staff. Our personal "go-to" is the stretching sessions. If you're interested in getting stretched, Shelby is your go-to guy! He is extremely knowledgeable and trains his guys REALLY well. Overall, this gym TRULY HAS IT ALL & we are HAPPY to be members!

I called and asked questions about the facility as I am looking to move to that area. I live far enough away where I can’t get there easily. I asked the guy on the phone if he could text or email photos, specifically of the squat racks. He was so rude and told me no and that I would have to come in. I reiterated that it was not easy for me to get there but he said he would not send any photos, told me I have a good idea of what a squat rack locks like, and the proceeded to hang up on me. SO RUDE, unprofessional, and unnecessary. Do not appreciate how I was treated.

I purchased stretching/mobility sessions from one of the trainers at the gym with hopes of increasing mobility due to past injuries. Not only did the sessions not provide the increased mobility i was looking for but it made my condition worse, increased stiffness and pain throughout my lower body. I called the gym to see if they would do the right thing and refund sessions that had not been used, however they refused and basically disregarded any of my concerns. I would hate to see what would happen if a litigious person gets injured from one of the training sessions, considering they dont do any formal assessments of prior injuries and or waiver forms before the training starts.

Biggest scam of a gym with no communication. Got a new credit card and gave them the new information multiple times over the phone but they kept calling saying they didn’t have it. Ended up telling them to cancel my membership, which they said that they would have a manager call me back about. Never heard from them so assumed it was all handled. Next think I know I’m getting calls from collections for $500 over 1 month of gym membership fees. Not to mention I haven’t stepped foot in the gym for 6 months. Would have no problem paying the month that I changed my card, but to not communicate and then try and get $500 is just ridiculous

Great gym. Staff is helpful and cleans up well. Price is affordable. Free group classes come with membership if that’s your thing too. I think there’s even a daycare service there lol. Only complaint I have is it gets super busy at 5-7pm, and it’s nearly impossible to get a bench at free weight area, so hopefully they expand the equipment in the future.

If you’re looking for a real 24 hour gym where people come to workout and not prance around… this is it!! When they say 24 hours…. They really mean 24 hours, not one of those closed on Friday night, Saturday night Sunday night type things. I signed up here to have another gym to go to that was closer to my house. After seeing that I can work out literally whenever I want, I just canceled my Onelife membership. Why would I drive 20 minutes away to holly springs when I can come here!!! Ray got us signed up and was very helpful!! Would definitely recommend!!! 💪🏽

I love this gym; to be as big as it is (updated equipment and the variety) I was shocked at the monthly cost (I was paying more at Snap Fitness and they are 2-3 times smaller)! If I ever move back out to Acworth, I know where I'm going :-)

This gym is amazing! The staff is so kind, the gym stays so clean, and there are is so much equipment for anything you need to do. This is the perfect gym for newbies, average gym goers, or veteran lifters!

Since my last review Ray has made a great effort to contact me in order to clear up any confusion and to help fix my issues I had with the gym. Ray seems to be alot more professional and respectful than I initially thought, it was made clear to me that he truly wishes that all of his members are happy with their membership and feel respected. I really appreciate the effort Ray put into making sure that our issues were resolved. While this gym still may not be the gym for my personally, I have to commend Ray for his effort and professionalism. I am only keeping my old review as part of this one to show full transparency and the issues that Ray fixed. I wish you guys the best in business. Thank you.

I have had my membership canceled for almost 3 months now. They still charge my card despite a stop payment being in place. My last review was deleted by them. The owner/manager has 0 respect for the members and continues to make fraudulent charges that exceed the price of any membership they offer.

The gym is getting better and they have taken the time from the virus to upgrade some things. The management still seems iffy sometimes but it’s a decent gym and open 24/7.
