Love the studio and teachers here. They have the perfect balance of great teachers, peaceful space but still approachable and not too “boot camp” like some of the other chains in Atlanta. They also provide a great variety of classes & you feel amazing after every class.

Great yoga studio in the heart of Buckhead. It's a good size, so it never seems to be overcrowded. Most importantly, all of the yoga instructors I've practiced with have been excellent. They keep the classes moving, provide the right amount of instruction and clearly are passionate about what they're doing.

I really loved Lauren’s sculpt class! I’m not a big fan of weights, so I didn’t know what to expect especially since I’m only 1 month postpartum. But Lauren’s energy and encouragement made me feel very confident and led me into meditative mode. I didn’t even noticed how the hour passed and I did the whole class, even went upside down a little bit! The best part is that you don’t have to use weights if you don’t want to!

I had an amazing experience at Highland Yoga! The class left me feeling relaxed, grounded, motivated, and truly inspired. The atmosphere was welcoming and calming, making it easy to disconnect from the outside world and focus on my practice. Tolu was an incredible instructor — attentive, encouraging, and skilled at creating a flow that challenged and centered me at the same time. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Since it’s a 5 min walk from where I live, I’m able to attend the Buckhead Village location on foot [which I love]. But honestly, it’s absolutely worth a drive. I can’t recommend the Highland Yoga experience enough. The community is a family and there is a wide array of class variety.

Discovering my yoga practice honestly saved my life. I had a tough year last year in my personal life and I started going to HY more and more to reset myself, stay grounded, and release negative energy… and also sweat thru a solid work out. Now I go 6 days a week.

Thank you HY for showing me the way 🙏🏼

I absolutely love Highland Yoga in Buckhead, my favorite location. They have power yoga flow, but also yoga sculpt if you want to have a Heavier workout. Both practices are super spiritual, and I always leave recharged and connected with myself. At the same time, it’s a great workout!
Highly recommend the studio!

Movement = freedom of the individual's mind. The mind lies, but the body is not able to lie. The body always remembers and more-so than the mind. One way to listen to the body is through movement and breathing and that is what reconnect the dots. Holding a position goes way beyond the purpose of it, it builds the mind from getting away from your own purpose --the one you are designed for. Your breathing tells the truth while you are getting out of your comfort zone. You can withstand the pain, you can do more... This is what I try to do at Highland Yoga almost everyday --whenever I can. Because time is always enemy to your health, I take that hour anywhere is available around town at Highland Yoga. Highland Yoga is the only studio in this town that allows it for its convenient location and scheduled classes. Freedom to express and availability to do it almost around the clock is key to achieve this. Thanks to the community, at Highland Yoga, I love you all.

I always go to the buckhead location and usually to 6am class or Monday 6:15pm with Caron. She’s my favorite. I really enjoy her class. I think her pace during the flow is perfect for me. Enough time to be able to properly move and have a moment to find stability during transitions. But also never too slow. While a total beginner could probably totally join class, I believe it would be hard since there’s little to no demonstration during most classes.

I’m a beginner yogi and also just began my fitness journey. Pairing yoga with my other daily fitness routines have done wonders for me physically and mentally. With yoga I’m building strength, flexibility, and mental clarity. I’m on week two of yoga and I’ve come to respect that while each class is not easy. They are beginner friendly. I have the ability to keep up with intense movements and the option to move at my own pace when needed. The hot temperature is a plus to me. When I was only doing gym workouts I had a hard time sweating and feeling accomplished so it was hard to stay motivated. After adding hot yoga to my fitness routine Ive been more active and I’m sweating from places I never knew was possible. I leave drenched in sweat and feeling accomplished. I love the location. I appreciate the instructors. I am dedicated to my new journey because of my experiences with highland yoga.

I’m so happy I discovered Highland Yoga through a friend of mine. I started the 30 day unlimited for $30 and it has really been a blessing. All of the instructors I’ve had at Westside and Buckhead locations have been great, but Nikia and Emily really take it to the next level for me. Power Flow is my favorite class because it’s a challenging and engaging class with creative flows. I literally leave out dripping in sweat each time, with a renewed positive perspective on my life. Definitely do yourself a favor and check out their first month unlimited deal. With Gratitude Always, Zeus

Amazing studio! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I do smell Mold in the studio due to the constant moisture possibly behind the wall or under the floorboards. I’m giving this place 4 stars.
The yoga flow: 5/5
I have been doing yoga for the past 6 years with core power and highland yogas flow is great.
The studio: 4.5/5
I like the size of the room and the yoga matts they provide is very high quality. The lighting is very nice and mood setting. However one critique is the lack of mirrors. I don’t know how people improve on their form if the teachers are not giving hands on adjust or at least have more mirrors. There’s only 5 skinny mirrors. But all in all, good studio for Hot power yoga
One specific Yogi Teacher: 1.5/5
Yoga teachers in general: 5/5
I have been going to core power for the past 6 years and gone to at least 15 different locations. Not once did I ever have a bad experience with a teacher. But after my experience with Shannon at highland buck-head studio, I felt inclined to write this review. She was extremely rude. She gets upset if you ask her one question about anything before class starts. And this is not the first time. I heard this from others who have attended her class as well but didn’t really believe it until I experienced it myself. Once class starts, she is an amazing teacher. Just a shame she has to give off a bad vibe before class. I wish she had patience for others.

I love Highland Yoga!! I haven’t practiced in many years but come from a 200 hr teacher training course 5+ years ago. The instructors are so warm and welcoming. The classes hit on the aspects of mindfullness, meditation, breathing exercises , and guiding your body through the strength in each pose. If you are new to yoga or intermediate yogi the Deep Stretch and Yoga Basics are perfect! I'm not new to yoga but not an advanced yogi. I decided to take their HY Power Flow (All Levels is a vinyasa class suitable for new and experienced practitioners alike!) This is not for beginners nor intermediate yogis! I enjoyed the class but the pace is way to fast. I wish there were more classes for new and intermediate yogis! If there were more of these classes offered I could definitely see myself purchasing there packages and going continuously. As for now I will continue at home.

2. cool yoga towels provided to everyone with nice and calming scented oils
3. people come here seem to be very good at their practice
4. new student membership has pretty good value - 30 dollars unlimited for a month
5. i found parking pretty convinent

Cons:
1. I would not recommend here if you never done yoga before since i found the sequence is pretty fast paced and because of social distancing teacher would not help you correct your poses if you have no idea what to do
2. now they allow 24 people in a room, at popular and busier times it does get very crowded so make sure you are ok with this now during covid

I had a 12:00 yoga class to which I arrived 5 minutes late and the door was locked! I tried knocking, calling..nothing. The sign on their door says that the studio is open 15 minutes before and after class starts but clearly they do not enforce this policy as I see other reviewers have had the same problem. I especially love the Monday and Tuesday 8:15 or 9:30 classes. The teachers are all phenomenal and it’s suuuuch a great way to start of the week! Definetely would recommend this place to any and all hot yogis!

I arrived one minute late and was locked out. I completely get this because usually studios only have one person working. However, I am new and could not locate it and parking was a nightmare. I’m so disappointed because I just moved here and haven’t been able to find a studio I like, is challenging enough, or friendly enough. This place was highly recommended. Too bad Class Pass charged my account 15 dollars and took my credits for a class I never even got to take. I won’t be back. I hate this too because there’s a lot of hype around this studio, but after driving from Decatur, having to pay 3 dollars to park, and not even be let in ruined my Sunday.

Least favorite of the yoga studios I've been to in Atlanta. Classes are too crowded, every teacher and every class has the same flow, and there is very little instruction besides, "do this pose." Not sure what the hype is all about. Everyone is really nice there's just no diversity and I don't feel like I'm getting better at yoga while practicing at Highland.

I've been going to the Buckhead and Highlands locations for a few months now and I rave about them to anyone who will listen. All of the teachers are uniquely wonderful and always eager to help with questions or modifications. The classes manage to be both challenging and centering, so you get a great workout but leave feeling totally chilled out. Just the best!

I moved to Atlanta from Germany for a 3-month internship, and was looking for a way to stay active during my stay in Atlanta. I am so glad that I found out about the Buckhead location of Highland Yoga! I have practiced Yoga in the past, but never "heated", and never as my main "sport". It was so wonderful to connect with my practice here, to advance some parts of it, and it made me realize how much I missed practicing yoga more regularly. The heat is definitely real, I am drenched in sweat after the class, but you leave here feeling ready to conquer the world! The teachers are all so friendly, easy to talk to and made me feel very welcome. I will definitely miss the studio, and will try to stop by for a class when I visit Atlanta in the future! I absolutely recommend the studio, the classes are challenging and well-rounded, the equipment they provide (mats, blocks, towels, straps) are of a great quality, and the other students are also very friendly and welcoming.

Great Well Rounded Class, Wish the room was a tad cooler but not enough to lose a star!

This is a great studio with an incredible staff. I have taken classes from many different instructor and enjoy them all. The studio can get busy, so I would suggest reserving classes and arriving early.

The classes are always challenging and fun. I love running and I've found that Virginia Highland's Vinyasa flow classes provide great strengthening exercises that help prevent injuries. They have a great deal on the first 30 days - I definitely got hooked after that and now my week wouldn't be complete without a couple yoga classes!

The best studio Intown Atlanta times 3. I've been a regular at Highland Yoga in the Virginia Highlands since it opened. I lived biking distance and was thrilled and grateful to have such a great place to practice so close to home. I have since moved rather far away and have begun teaching yoga myself. I consider Elsie to be instrumental in my growth and drive in whenever time allows. This third incarnation of Highland Yoga is a gorgeous studio. It's a place where you can't help but leave the busy of Buckhead outside the door. The practice is incredible! It's challenging yet approachable. There's nothing any beginner can't do but you can take it where you want and form me, that always means a puddle of sweat on and around my mat. Sorry neighbor :)
