DO NOT HIRE TRAINERS HERE. I took the free training session and the guy blithely ignored my up front warning that I'm disabled and out of shape and need him to go easy on me. He pushed me so hard that I couldn't use my arms for 4 days afterwards because I was in so much pain.

I'm only giving it 3 stars because it's a decent facility if you self train.

This is one of the nicest location in the Atlanta/ Metro Atlanta area. I have visited a number of location over the last couple of weeks and none of them are like this location. This location is CLEAN and for the most part up to date. I have found my permanent location and will be sticking to this one from now on. The only disadvantage is that the Kids Club is not open at this location.

It’s Sunday 10/19 at 8:21am. I’m at L A Fitness 6131 Peachtree Pkwy location and they are not open.. several guest waiting in the rain out side! You guys need to do better .. have always two people come in so if something happens you have a cover! So simple to fix. We also need more handles! We only have 3 of 6 machines!! Thanks

I love this location in particular! The staff is friendly, professional and helpful. They do their best to keep the facility stocked and clean. My favorite workout is swimming laps. All the swimmers cooperate to share lanes as needed and it's a very positive atmosphere. I do recognize that some recent staff changes were made. All I can say about any of the staff I have interacted with is that they are great. No issues; just gratitude.

I’ve been coming to this location and it is my preferred location out of all the ones I’ve visited. Primarily for proximity to my day to day life/activities but for a couple more important (to me anyway) reasons.
1) the variety of machines, the quality of the machines and the number of machines. Other locations the equipment looks, feels and is old. Some of it is rusted so you struggle to move the weight pin. I almost always have everything I need at Peachtree Corners (unless something is in need of repair.)
2) I’ve never had significant issues with the staff in the past but recently there has been a change in the personnel behind the desk and it has made a major difference in how I operate at the gym. Specifically Kai and Alisa (not sure on the spelling of names, it took me weeks just to work up the courage to ask for their names) make a difference in how I feel when I walk in. They go beyond just looking up at you when you walk in. You get an immediate greeting, sometimes an exuberant one at that. They even greet some of the patrons by name. It makes a huge difference.

BEWARE. Unfortunately, you should take your money elsewhere - be prepared for a disappointing and disgusting experience. Where is the DM or Regional leadership?!? This location is severely understaffed and has “new” management since the last worthless GM was fired - took 3 years for that to finally happen. Honestly, it’s so filthy and gross every morning with no paper towels or any working sanitation stations. NONE - so nasty. Sweat on ground and all over equipment - yuck. Cleaning person doesn’t start until 7am and lazy night shift does absolutely nothing. Make no sense. So morning customers get stuck with dirty floors, hair all over near equipment and on mats, used paper towels on ground, weights left all over and no way to clean equipment. The front desk staff are always on their phones and never leave the position to help clean or refill vital paper towel/sanitation stations in the bathrooms or all over the gym. Someone must be paying off the Health Department because I don’t know how they pass any inspections.
I can see why people are going to Planet Fitness, Crunch and Lifetime. With lack of management, leadership or direction don’t do it. You have been warned!! Run away!!!

Extremely disappointing experience.
Today I waited outside the gym for over 35 minutes, and no one showed up to open the doors. I had made a real effort to plan my day and adjust my sleep schedule just to be there at 5:00 AM, only to be left standing outside.
There were several others waiting as well—most eventually gave up and left. No idea what time someone finally showed up, if they ever did. Totally unprofessional.

The Zumba instructor, Jayla L., at this location was extremely unprofessional. She started the class 10 minutes past the scheduled time without any disclaimer or apology.

When I attempted to take a quick 10-second video for my social media story, she snapped at me in a very rude and impolite manner, despite my having a big smile and always being cooperative.

Please note that there is no clear policy prohibiting brief recordings. At other LA Fitness locations, instructors themselves often record short videos during class.

I left the class immediately, as the situation felt unnecessarily humiliating. I would appreciate it if you could consider this feedback, clarify your recording policies, and ensure your instructors are properly trained on how to communicate respectfully with members

I left Georgia to serve as a Missionary for 6 months and called this location to cancel my membership the month prior to leaving. The representative said it was cancelled. Later, I found charges from LA Fitness as I was serving. I called and they advised me to call corporate as they had "no notes in their system." I called corporate and they would not refund my charges as they said they had no notes. They finally cancelled my membership yet would not refund the charges even though I was out of the country. Just because you are a large company does not mean you cannot mistreat customers.

First off LA Fitness has something called “Club Pride.” Obviously it’s not active in this location which I live directly across from block away but I go to the Roswell location. Club pride is the staff meaning operations and training. Pick up weights maintain that everything is in its place. The only person I ever see doing it is the maintenance guy which it shouldn’t be his job. Every time I come in the gym, these are the same things that go on.
There is no one managing the weight room area whereas machines are left with hundreds of pounds of plates on them. Weights like the dumbbells are scattered all over the gym in the aerobic room, even saw them in the locker room once. And asked for the sales staff when no one is around and the gym weight room area is full of weights everywhere they’re sitting in their chairs on the phones or carrying conversations with each other. I made complaints and even started picking up the weights myself and complaining to them not only about the way the gym is kept but also how they allow members to walk into the gym and stay on their phones before they start using the equipment. They’ll sit on their phones for 15 20 30 minutes even more.
That’s why a lot of the members left to go a block away to the new planet fitness. Their front desk is right there so they can manage and make sure that there are no leg presses with 20 plates left or bench presses with three plates on each side or dumbbell scatter all over the gym.
I didn’t like going to this gym anyway, even though it’s close to where I live because I do circuit training and obviously there’s always a Johnny-come-lately manager that tries to do power. Please tell you what you can and cannot do but yet they will allow the members to constantly make it uncomfortable for others with them, leaving weights on the equipment And taking up space on equipment so they can text and watch videos. Don’t believe me go see it for yourself because it won’t change. It’s been that way for a while.

Great gym! Large variety and multiples of equipment, equipment is relatively new, all functions well. The gym has ample space, and even when it’s really busy it seems like I’m able to get my workout in without lots of waiting. Occasionally I find people sitting on their phones for a long time, but they seem to get the hint of you are waiting or let you work in. I feel it’s a good value for the price. Our sign up experience was great, Gabe set us up with the best plan for our family and made sure we understood everything.

This particular location is very clean and well maintained! The general manager Gabriel or Gabe for short is extremely helpful and kind along with staff. For what I pay this place is excellent.
I wish they would get newer attachments for the pulley area as the selection is a little limited, and a lot of the ropes are really worn out, as well as the carabiners. However, I really can't complain for the price.

Staff are alright, not too friendly, but I am not there to chat, so I dont really care.

The only other downside is I am not sure how often the refresh equipment. I have consistently gone for 8 months now and have yet to see any new piece of equipment in the gym. Id love a chest supported T Bar Row, or a hip thrust machine for glutes.

All in all, I love this place, I come every day and its solid/10.

This is the worst LA fitness. Loyal customers and regular customers show up during opening time of 5am and nobody is there to open the gym. Leaving people to have to find the nearest LA Fitness which is. A inconvenience as people plan their days around their workout. It is such a disruption when this happens.. This gym has gone downhill quickly. Been here about 2 years but recently the cleanliness has completely fallen off. This gym is very dirty!! There is visible dirt and hair EVERYWHERE. Used paper towels EVERYWHERE. All over the ground, stretch mats, in the locker room etc. Its super disgusting. They used to have a very nice cleaning lady but I have not seen her in a long time.

The guy that sells memberships just sits at his desk snacking and on his phone, he should get up and clean something, he is wasting so much time doing nothing!

They think a towel near a machine give them the right to walk away for 15 minutes and still have that machine reserved for them when they get back. Just a total lack of awareness that other people are there to work out too.

This LA Fitness has left me quite disappointed, being one of the worst I've visited. While the building itself is modern and well-kept, it's lacking in a few key areas. Normally, LA Fitness gyms have a special section for personal trainers with some unique equipment, available to everyone when the staff isn't training a client. Here, because of the new layout, this section is in a separate room with locked doors, only accessible to those who pay for personal training. This means no access to kettlebells, medicine balls, ropes, or a hex bar for those who don't feel the need to pay for their trainers.

Additionally, there are only three stability balls in the entire gym, with two of them locked away in that room. So, if you're not using their personal training services, chances are the one available stability ball might be occupied. Im new to this location and I've been here four times, only seen trainers in that room once.

I consider myself an intermediate to advanced gym enthusiast. The open training area, like what's found in other LA Fitness branches, would be great for circuit training and supersets without having to walk all over the gym. Lastly, there's only one barbell pad in the entire gym, which makes it tough for those of who like to use it do barbell squats for example. Despite this gym being just 5 minutes away, I now drive 11 minutes to another LA Fitness on Holcomb Bridge. It might not be as shiny since it's an older building, but it's bigger and offers all the equipment I need without the restrictions.

This one was built around 2018 or 2019. It’s a bit smaller than most but it’s clean and it doesn’t get crazy busy like several others. Always enough equipment even during peak hours to get a decent workout in. Just wish they had a sauna in this one but bathrooms are almost always clean

Went to this gym on Friday the 16th around 4:30 - 5-ish. Asked the staff about a trial because I was looking to join a gym soon. I mentioned I had been a member about 7 years ago. This guy with a mustache and a stubble beard wearing all black and a cap (I think his name was Larry El-something) at first told me they don't do trials and haven't since back then until I told him that they had given me a trial back then. After that, he told me about a guest pass, but told me there would be no point in it if I wasn't going to join because they were paid there by commission. After some nudging (and some very apparent reluctance from Larry), he got the guest pass set up, neglecting the waivers and such on the day of (which I signed the next day). I was not aware that I could do this online, nor was I made aware by the staff member that spoke to me.

I was on the fence about getting a membership here, and now I am done using the guest pass (although it officially expires Monday the 19th). The customer service I was presented with as well as having it emphasized by a staff member that there is no point in effort being expended on potential customers unless money is immediately involved helped me make the decision to definitively not to get a membership at that specific LA Fitness as well as disuade others from doing so. So if you follow me on Instagram @rosadivina29 you would know that I am new to the gym family. This is my second visit to LA fitness but a different location this time. They don’t open up until 8 AM on Sundays so I waited about 20 minutes to get in but that’s OK. When I first walked in the front desk greeted me politely. I went straight for the stairmaster, and I found a bunch of trash on the ground. It was kind of offputting, but I went ahead and cleaned my machine and picked up the trash for them. I like the different array of machines that they have. Some a little confusing. Then my silly self didn’t realize that some thing with adjustable and went all the way to grab the front desk for nothing lol. I could do nothing but laugh. This location is a little different because the sauna is not inside the locker room, which I prefer. They do have a pool and spa, as well as basketball court. They also have a separate room for personal training.

I can't give 5 stars, but this place deserves 3 stars. I took off the stars for the fact that when I tried to sign up for a trial lesson, they wrote to me every time that all the places were taken and I had to ask a friend to take me with me. Maybe this is such a marketing ploy so that people immediately buy a subscription
