OneLife is a great gym however it has come a little lax with its cleanliness! I've been a member since 2018 & I love the price however, over the last few recent years the build up dust on the ceiling rafters have become an eyesore & I've seen some fall into people while working out. The mirrors are dirty as well. The ladies locker room has hair all over the floor. I'll leave the gym with blonde hair on my stuff & I'm black 😂🤣😅 Early on in my membership I used to see staff members clean on regular basis, & now they have outsourced it & it's not up to par.

I hope they step up cleaning game, because I reliably enjoy this gym!

The equipment variety and amount is great. Unfortunately they can't keep the sauna on. Been down multiple times over the last several months, and now it's been down over a week just to re-do the wood. It's a one day project...2 at most. The front desk folks are great, but they said from the start it would be back online in a couple of days...over a week later, nothing. I'm sure management told them to tell people a few days. Regardless, it's down. Still down. Been finished for days. I have my own equipment at home, I pay good money to come here because they have the sauna. Oh, and the men's showers. Multiple times I've let them know of the problem. One shower, you freeze or burn depending on the day. 1 is scalding hot water only. The other depends on who is using the other two. Come on guys. Be better.

Update: thanks for the generic response. Let me know when the sauna is back on and I'll come back i guess?

I’ve been going here for years and although the equipment is great, employees are nice , there’s been more then one instance like this morning where their supposed to be open at 5:00 but I’m currently outside making this review at 5:38 and no one has come to open it up. A lot of people rely on the early morning time to try and get their workouts in, I feel as if the amount we pay for a membership it should at least be 24/7. Or at the very least higher reliable employees who will be here to open.

Shoutout to Onelife Carrollton for helping me stay motivated to actually go to the gym! The amenities are a nice treat to get me through a workout (the huge sauna after a workout is my favorite and a stop at the smoothie bar on occasion).

Calvin, the personal trainer there, is super helpful in terms of the full body scan results and review and talking through my own health goals (you get a free body scan consultation thing with your membership so be sure to use it!!). I’m looking forward to the first personal training session that is actually free with the membership and then considering a plan longer term with training sessions and pricing options.

Misty at the front desk has also been super helpful with my questions and gave me an intro to the gym on my first day there. Thank you for making me feel comfortable when it is somewhat intimidating to walk into a new gym :)

I don’t have photos of the gym to share but trust that the equipment is clean and well maintained or fixed as needed. FYI- The cardio cinema room is great if you want a cardio day and zone out to the movie they have playing that day. My only feedback is that it would be nice if there were some Peloton equipment options!

We have been going here for several months when we started the gym was well kept it is falling apart men’s bar shower has been broken for months. The women’s sauna the doors are disgusting.!!! That’s for starters. I had a problem with my online banking. They tried to take it from my card when I was set up for a draft called sent emails to corporate went in to try to fix the situation!!! And they told me don’t worry about it they’ll note my account all of a sudden I was charged large amount and late fees, and two bills at one time when I called to address the situation again in August!! The ladies are awesome. The guys are unprofessional!! I’ve sent 3 emails to corporate and no response 😳
P.S. My husband’s wallet was gone through in his locker and money was stolen as well!!

Disgusting. Scam. If you sign a contract even for the most basic package, it is a one year contract, not a membership. The lady behind the counter told me multiple times that if I needed to cancel, all I had to do was pay the full cost of the next months bill, and at that point the current month could be continued using services. If you decide to cancel at any time, the contract has hidden clauses that apparently say you will be charged monthly 46 dollars until the year is up. There is no feedback from the organization that will allow you to cancel even if you meet the needs of the cancellation. If you miss one payment for a short time that is considered as a permanent cost to them, and will be taken from your credit each month penalty. So basically you will pay for a year, and possibly forever seeing as they will renew the contract at that time without permission. So it is truly a devilish way of doing business I think. Also, if you miss one payment, the price agreement will more than double for each month left in that year, potentially costing you double the agreement, and under that condition the contract extension still exist as well as continuing the payments. So basically this is not ethical, and not a provider of a good service or trade. I believe it is immoral, and shows a lack of character with a poor business model. You will find at least 5 other patrons that have experienced this exact problem. It is certainly not an unknown issue with the owners, and it is disgusting that they haven't taken steps to eliminate this situation. Also, this is the most packed gym I have ever seen in my life by far, which is okay I guess if you're not doing much. It is a nice gym overall. The machines are decent and I like the diversity well enough. The free weights are good if you can find room. I've seen weight sharing, and people are generally friendly or courteous. The desk people are decent, but I certainly don't want any pressure to get membership because that is a contract scam, not a membership. The contract is bologna. Even in a situation where you're paying a daily or monthly rate for extended periods they still charge you for contract double rates and then force the contract length. That's dumb. There was no confusion on my part, only blatant misdirection on this gyms part.

Best gym I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to many including club fitness and Gold’s Gym. Super friendly staff, always willing to help. Extremely nice locker/shower rooms, they are always clean and up to par. Plenty of equipment, I’ve never had to wait for a machine. They encourage cleanliness and sanitation, providing many sanitation stations throughout the rooms. All the equipment is up to date and well maintained. All of the trainers are extremely professional and listen to your needs and goals. The gym offers many amenities including sauna, water massage beds, tanning, and stretch stations, AND a daycare for all the people with kiddos! They also have a variety of classes to attend! OneLife will always be my number one Gym! Super thankful I gave them a try!

I love this gym, and I'm a Silver Sneaker. The staff, the trainers and the access to so many workout options are endless. The facility is clean, and the layout of equipment is perfect for whatever level you are on personally. I've been a member since July 2023, and at 70, my personal growth and strength is a credit to Jenna and Calvin (my personal trainers). They are phenomenal in their knowledge of fitness. Good gym but they don’t enforce reracking weights. Dumbbells are scattered about and plates are left on machines or on the floor. It’s easy to tell a machine is open when it’s not loaded up with plates. Not to mention all the times I’ve seen people not wiping down equipment. I’m paying to clean up after adults.

So far, so good. Been coming here for 6 weeks now and I'm impressed. I love being able to access the week's classes and register online. The staff is always friendly and eager to answer any questions and help out as well. The equipment is great, although the movie room was out of commission for a few weeks. I have had a membership here since February 2023. Being a disabled veteran who walks with a cane, this place is very accommodating. Have not had any issues using the equipment or the sauna. My kids love going to the kids' area while I get my workout on. Every staff member makes sure to greet us with a smile, and we always feel welcome no matter what time of day we arrive. All the trainers are knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend that if you come to the gym, meet up with a trainer for at least one session. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Overall it’s a decent gym.

Pros: Friendly staff. Clean. Reasonably well equipped. Decent amenities. Lots of parking.

Cons: 1) Hard to find a time when it’s not busy due to 2) lame hours.

Cons..not directly their fault: The gym culture here kinda of sucks. It’s hard to find equipment as it is, but it’s even harder since most people refuse to re-rack anything. Most people are friendly though.

Love this gym!!! The daycare is amazing. Mrs Amy and the young ladies she has working for her are wonderful with the children. My boys love going! The trainers are friendly and easy to work with. I’ve been at this gym since it opened. Use to love it. Now however it’s horrible. If you come in after 6, it’s like walking into a high school gymnasium. Equipped with 14 and 15 year olds wrestling, kids making out in between sets. The kids club teachers need to come to the free weights and supervise these kids. I promise the little ones act better behaved than they do. I could have swore you had to be 18 or older to use the free weights but I was told yeah well……. Guess they care more about memberships Sold than safety.

I've been to a fair share of gyms in my lifetime including having worked at some before. I will say this gym has one of the best floor plans I've come across. The gym and amenities are pretty great for the price you pay compared to some other gyms I've been with. The gym is exceptionally clean on the floor and in the restrooms. They are definitely a more busier gym because of this so if you're not fond of a decent amount of people majority of the time, find another gym. Setting up your membership is easier than most. The only 3 drawbacks are the contract with your membership, the text and calls from PTs, & limited plan options. I'm from the north so I don't know if it's a southern thing to have contracts here but so did club fitness and I'm not fond of that much. In addition to that, the personal trainers will call and text you a decent amount before they finally stop. I wanted to add my fiancé onto my plan but turns out they have no family plan options (at least that's what the sales rep at the time told me). I know not all gyms are the same but those plans are so beneficial for families or couples trying to save a buck here or there. Formerly working as a sales rep, the sales reps here are pretty respectful and aren't too wishy washy so that's definitely a great thing. Overall, I would recommend to family and friends.

I love the gym but one person they have working there is awful! I believe her name is zaneta I don’t know if I spelled it right, but she was at the front desk when I was there the other day dropping F-bombs and saying things that should never be said around a customer. I cannot believe this is allowed and don’t know if I feel comfortable going back if that is how they let there employees act and talk. Most of the equipment work but some of the elliptical equipment don't come on and one of the excersis bikes don't have the petals on it. Overall I enjoy working out at y'all's onelife fitness center.

Great gym absolutely love going here has all the equipment you could ever possibly need or want. The only reason I give it a 4 star instead of a 5 is because of the hours on weekends. Myself and others are law enforcement and it would be nice to go to a nice gym after shift on a weekend but is hard to do when shift ends at 1800 and that's when the gym closes on weekends as well. If they could adjust the time on the weekends it would benefit a lot because I know quiet a few of law enforcement that go to this gym. Thank you.

Agreed to try one personal training session with a trainer. After not ever getting scheduled a session, I was still charged 150 for 2 months. I called to cancel what I didn't know I signed for. Was told the sessions (again which weren't scheduled) were canceled. Still was charged $150 3 more months. When I tried to get a refund for my $700+ dollars, I was told I needed to go in to talk to the manager. Everytime I went in, the manager was not there. Still have not received the refund.

I don’t recommend this gym. I recently moved back to Georgia and was interested in this gym. I saw they had classes at convenient times and what seemed like a great price. I later realized their online system defaults to other gyms with great class times while the Carrollton gym hardly offers convenient class times. I thought to inquire about personal training but didn’t because it was always a bit busy. I was less than impressed with the gym. I decided I would cancel because I am moving further than the required 15 miles to cancel with 30 days notice. I asked for the information and was met with hesitation. I later got the information and emailed to cancel. I was given a list of options to prove I was moving. Although I’ve never been required to do this, I complied. I sent an email with the deed for my new home with the address proving a more than 15 mile distance and my name because this was an option on the list per the email response I received. I was told this wasn’t sufficient and while my auto pay was turned off I would owe the remainder of my contract (I have this in writing too). I don’t know what is better proof than a deed. Unacceptable response. I called rather frustrated and was asked a bunch of questions like why am I cancelling. I told the representative that I provided this information and was told it wasn’t enough (although it’s clearly written). After much back and forth via email and then phone I was told the person over email made a mistake and they would honor a 30 day notice. They actually don’t prorate. They still charge you more than 30 days but I was over it at this point. The amount of headache to achieve this is ridiculous. I would recommend looking into other gyms in the area before agreeing to sign up here.

For the Past few years I’ve struggled to keep a gym membership and lacked motivation to go, but this location has a ton of great up to date equipment. The staff are always welcoming. The bathrooms are always very clean and spacious, there are saunas in the bathrooms which are a nice addition. The also have a movie room with the lights off so you can exercise on treadmills and ellipticals while focusing on the movie. All of the members are very respectful and motivated. After the initial tour of the facility I instantly knew I was in the right place. Now instead of struggling to go to the gym, I’m struggling to take days off because it is now my happy place.

I was very nervous about joining a gym, especially during a pandemic. From the moment I stepped inside this gym, I felt welcomed and safe. The GM, Josh was very helpful and lessened how intimidated I initially felt. He explained everything to me that I would need to know to start. I’ve been going daily now for almost a month. Each day, I see the staff working hard to keep the facility clean and spotless. Genesis has been a tremendous help with my fitness journey. I payed for my personal training and I took 1 year membership but when I want to do my weight on weight scale that time they don’t help and for training giving different different price that doesn’t matter how many sessions you buy it’s like bargaining

Genesis Peay is my personal trainer and she is the absolute BEST! She is always professional, helpful, and has a true passion for helping others meet their goals. I have been a member at this gym for 4 months going 5 days a week. The machines are well maintained. They have a great class schedule too. There are cleaning stations every 2 feet it seems. The staff wears masks and make sure equipment is being sanitized too. Most of all are the staff is so great. Genesis is by far is the best. She ALWAYS speaks to everyone by name. Worst Onelife location in Ga. I’ve been to 3 other locations and those locations are great! They are properly maintained, clean, and are constantly bringing in new equipment. This location does not do any of this.

Although the staff has always been very friendly to me, these are just a few of the issues that I’ve noticed at this location.

-one water fountain has been broken since I started coming here and has been for at least 3 months. The other one only dispenses warm water because the refrigeration is out on it. When I asked when they would get them fixed, the guy shrugged his shoulders and said he didn’t know.

-they have broken equipment everywhere

-they only have 2 squat racks. All of the other locations have at least 5!

-They don’t have bumper plates at all!! All of the other locations have tons for squat racks and deadlifts.

- the mirrors are pathetic. They only have one wall with mirrors on it in the free weight and machine section. That’s right, one wall... And it’s not even a continuous wall. 90% of the time, you can’t even see yourself work out to watch your form while lifting. All of the other locations have wall to wall mirrors. Plus the mirrors are filthy all of the time

Do not and I repeat DO NOT go to this gym . I joined this gym and at first It was great . Then i was lied to about the personal training classes they offer . 3 different members of the team including the general manage, Told me I could cancel the classes with just signing a paper . I tried 3 different times a week after signing , to cancel and was talked out of It saying to just freeze the account and if In 3 month i still didn’t want it then to do It . COVID 19 happened and i never received my services so i assumed It was all canceled a month ago they started taking $234 out my accounts every 2 weeks , and when i tried to canceled they said i would have to pay $169 to get out if my personal training contract . They lied about this fee every time i asked insisting all i would have to do was sign a paper to cancel. They are LIARS

This place is terrible when it comes to working with customers, especially cancelations, my wife and I moved because of military orders and we were told that if this ever happened we could waive the cancelation fee. This was wrong. Not only do we have to pay the cancelation fee we are continuously being charged $40 every couple of weeks and not one person when calling in can tell us why. Still to this day we are trying to get our $100+ back. If I would’ve know that their finance company was going to take my money I would have just paid the cancelation fee. But now I have to go out of my way to account for the money being robbed every month for no reason at all until they “figure it out.”

This really is an excellent facility. By far the cleanest and nicest gym in the area. They have every machine you can imagine and a few you cant. They maintain and clean the equipment very well and if a machine goes down its up the next day. Their 'functional' training area is great. They have a full room of stationary cycles, cardio theatre with massive screen and even a heavy punching bag. The only thing they dont have is a pool which I wouldn't use much anyway. The only minor complaints I have are the sauna and the weekend hours. The sauna heater is too small for the large sauna room. it should be bigger for a room that size. Even at the highest setting the temp only reaches 70 degrees celsius. A real sauna should be 100-110 degrees celsius. And the weekend hours should be extended to at least 8pm everyday. Still, all things considered it is a 5 star facility.

Not only does this facility have EVERYTHING you would want in one location, the staff is the BEST part. Everyone from the front desk, sales, and kids club have gone above and beyond for our family. We recently located here from across the country as my husband retired from active duty, and this place made us feel like we were “home”. That might sound silly, but in a time of such transition and uncertainty for us, they learned our names, our children, greeted and chatted with us, and have sincerely cared from day one. As someone who has been in fitness management I can tell you this place is second to none! The kids club has welcomed, hugged and loved our little ones, and made us feel so comfortable letting them care for our boys as we took care of our fitness needs in an awesome facility. It’s always clean, well kept, and the classes are awesome. Great fitness facility in EVERY ASPECT!

Great gym! I love the different rooms, I just wish it was 24 hours for the ones who prefer AM workouts, but have to be at work when the gym opens and around the time you get off are peak hours for the gym so it’s kind of hard to get an efficient workout in! and not living in the Carrollton area i don’t want to hang around later to wait for the crowd to disperse!

Only thing keeping me from giving them all 5 stars is the fact they play the same music, too poppy for my taste, and their water taste like drinking out of a pool. It would have been a 3 out of 5 if not for the fact I can bring my own water and music. But the restrooms and shower stalls are clean and their equipment is perfect for all types of people.

I’ve been a member since the doors opened and I’m so tired of the same thing can we please rearrange the equipment. I feel like everything is just thrown in the space and it could be utilized way better i think. I also think dress codes should be enforced more. The lockers are terrible also about half of them have hooks still in them and the locker rooms always stink. Also sauna needs rules posted on door there are people that come to this gym that are rude and very inconsiderate. I almost got in a fight in the sauna for telling a guy that was standing up in the door way to move so i could get by. The sauna is for everybody to SIT IN!

Great gym, everything you need and more. They have a movie room with a big screen to do cardio with a movie, training areas and tons of training equipment. They also serve workout drinks made fresh as well as prepare food and drinks. The bathrooms and showers are always clean and well kept. Plus prices are very reasonable. Friendly staff, what more do you need.

Good place to workout at. But it is impossible to get out of a contract there. They will continue to charge you and make you jump through numerous hurdles just to get out of it. I would not reccomend joining if you are not planning on staying for a long long time.

Great place to workout, but needs seat covers for toilets. I never understand why you have to wipe the equipment down, but there is nothing for hygiene in the bathroom besides washing your hands. The same sweaty butts that you are wiping down for on the equipment, is the same one you have to make toilet tissue covers for. Needs a spray bottle and tissues in each stall, if they cannot afford seat covers. Or put at least one seat cover dispenser on the wall for everyone to get before entering the stalls. I have asked the staff, but all they say is "Thats a corporate problems, but I'll ask." Then look nonchalant.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I tried to cancel my family's membership last year around August but I was told that I would have to pay a penalty since I would be breaking contract. The funny thing is that after being members over a year, we were supposed to go month to month contract, so this was the first time I heard that I had resigned to another year contract. I was told that my membership expired on March this year and if I waited till then, I will not have to pay penalties. My surprise was than in March when I called, I was told that they required a written notice of cancellation and that It will take 30 more days before thet can cancel it. So needless to say, they will charge me another month. My last payment was supposed to be April 9th. Well, they took their money from my account in addition to $169.96 for additional fees and monthly fees yet again with the latest charges coming in May. When I called to complain about charges, they have the gall tell me that they only canceled my account but that my wife, son, and daughter were still active eventhough my daughter called and was told that her membership was not active anymore.

My advice to anyone joining this gym. Be careful, do not have an account that they can do monthly charges or else they will continue to draw money from your account. Be aware that eventhough they tell you can call and cancel, you will need to send a written notice and do not forget that you must do it at least a month before you intend to finish your membership. Please learn from my mistake and do not let these people rob you like they have with me. I am still now disputing the charges

Don't waste your money. The gym is nice yes, but their memberships are designed to trap you through contracts and fine print. You can't just sign up for month to month. It's apparently a year contract that unknowingly renews automatically without your notice. I actually moved away from Carrollton to Atlanta and tried to cancel my membership. They wanted a 30 day notice written and proof of my new residence with all kinds of documentation. I mean Damn I'm just trying to cancel a membership not buy a car. They make you jump through all kinds of hoops to cancel and then try to claim you owe them all this money even though you haven't even been using the gym. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Same problem as Thomas D. Attempted to sign up month to month knowing I would likely be moving within the year. Despite this, and in part due to me not reading the contract closely enough, I was instead put on a year contract that, upon expiration, would automatically turn into a month to month. I was told I could cancel any time without penalty because I was month to month (a year in the future apparently). When I called to address the issue I was referred to a third party billing company who told me there was nothing they could do and informed me that if I did not pay they would forward it to collections (run by yet ANOTHER 3rd party company). I am currently trying to get out of my contract by sending them "proof of moving" documents, which who knows if they will actually accept them or not.

Regardless of my above issue, this gym is a monument to consumer-driven culture (no I don't want to buy a protein shake from you leave me alone), doesn't have bounce weights or dead lifting platforms, 50% of the trainers are overweight, has one power rack relative to about 300 tread mills, and plays advertisements for themselves on the TVs.

The chinese buffet next door and all you can eat southern food joint across the street makes this a perfectly ironic representation of the Southeast as a region.

Has good equipment, I could do without the techno and teenage pop music. Staff seems ok but free weight area gets over crowded with people socializing or trying to show off. Just not my atmosphere, when my contract is up I'll be going elsewhere, atmosphere means a lot!

Was told by the staff that I could "bring in documentation showing that I moved" and the account would be closed with no issues. That was flat out incorrect. I had to send documentation to a 3rd party billing company and was then held accountable for all charges for the next 30 days. On top of paying an extra months membership when I no longer lived in the area or used the gym, they charged me a $40 "annual" fee. Very convenient.
