Had an awesome first class here this past Saturday with Anusha, prenatal yoga! This is obviously a "unique class" given I am pregnant, but I was so impressed with her knowledge and teaching style that it left me excited to try more at this studio! Huge space, diverse teacher lineup. Looking forward to coming back. Huge shoutout to Anusha for sharing what is clearly a strong, beautiful yoga practice 🙏 She made what could have been a boring, slow prenatal class, challenging (yet safe) Very grateful to have found this class!!!

I've visited this studio for two years now, and I always have a great experience. I always leave feeling both lighter and stronger. It has become a routine that I miss when I'm not around. Every instructor is great in their own way, and you get a very well-rounded experience if you try out the different teachers and classes. I also enjoy when they host special events like sound healing. Check the schedule and drop in for something if you are curious. That's what I did, and I keep finding things to do here.

Peachtree Yoga has the best yogi instructors in Sandy Springs.
I highly recommend getting the new student unlimited monthly pass and check out as many classes as possible.
You won’t want to miss KD’s Wednesday night class.
It’s better than any boot camp in the SS area.

Seems the focus at this studio is heavy on Yoga training, not on individuals, but I attended a class in the past. When I did, I took a Yin/ gentle yoga class. But recently, I decided to go back and try the Align & Refine class, which was not for me! I thought I'd try a new type of class but big mistake. The instructor was pretty obnoxious. It's so disturbing how Western yoga instructors like her who have very slender bodies are not sensitive to people who have curvy bodies like mine. And one whose body won't easily contort to this "perfect" form during poses. I've been doing yoga iver 25 year when I lived in NYC during the early days and even took classes at the Yoga Barn while in Bali. Anway at Peachtree this time, this instructor kept singling me out the whole class. And after her especially disconcerting response to my not being able to just easily 'pull' my [fat] abs to my spine smh. That was my cue, I had to get up out of this class early! I will go back to being an introvert with in home yoga by women of color instructors. And go back to studios in Midtown with diverse instructors of color and more body positivity/ sensitivity!

I took the 200 hour yoga teacher training as well as several yoga classes from a variety of instructors. This is by far the best yoga studio I have been too. The teachers are phenomenal and everyone makes you feel right at home. The 200YTT was one of the best experiences of my life, helping me grow not only in my yoga practice but spiritually as well. The community and family I have found at Peachtree yoga will be a part of me for the rest of my life. I will forever be grateful for the teachers and my fellow yogis for all the support!

I completed the 200 hour yoga certification. The program was phenomenal. The teachers and staff are genuine and have a true dedication and passion for yoga. Their support was unwavering. Training is comphrehensive and extends well beyond only the physical; students learn and grow together in mind, body , and spirit. I formed a long lasting bond with my classmates, and I feel confident about teaching yoga.

I just finished a 200-hour yoga teacher training at Peachtree Yoga Center, and it was such an amazing experience. The program covered everything I was hoping for—from asana and anatomy to yoga philosophy and meditation. The mentors/teacher were always there to guide us, making sure we felt supported throughout the whole journey. What really made the training special, though, was the sense of community. I made some friendships along the way, and it was inspiring to be part of a group of like-minded people all working toward the same goal. I’m leaving the training not only feeling ready to teach but also with a deeper connection to myself and the practice. If you're looking for a program that offers both solid instruction and a great sense of community, I highly recommend this one.

Dear Peachtree Yoga Center Family,

My review is more an expression of my heartfelt gratitude for the transformative experience I had during the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. From the first class, I felt a sense of belonging and purpose.

Ilona, Rosane, Quellyn, and Graham, what a remarkable team of instructors you are! Your knowledge and compassion shone through every lesson, guiding us in the art of teaching yoga and being our best selves. You created a safe space for exploration and growth, allowing us to unearth layers of ourselves.

Over the course of the three months, I experienced profound personal growth. I learned not only how to be a yoga teacher but also how to embrace my own journey with grace aka svaha and authenticity. The connections I made with my fellow yogis were nothing short of magical. We laughed, we cried, and we supported one another as we navigated this beautiful path together.

Thank you, Peachtree Yoga Center, for nurturing my spirit and igniting my passion for yoga. I am forever grateful for the wisdom you’ve shared and the community you’ve built. I look forward to carrying these lessons with me as I step into the world as a teacher and a lifelong student of this incredible practice.

With love and light,
Alicia

PS I recommend this program very highly.

I completed the 200hr ytc course here after contemplating a few studios in the north atlanta area. I can't recommend peachtree yoga enough. They cut no corners in their courses and classes.

It is an amazing yoga studio with professional teachers; the studio is clean and spacious with 2 or 3 rooms for use. They have all the yoga equipment someone would need to practice, available for use.

The instructors are very knowledgeable in the anatomy of poses and are always adamant about not pushing yourself too hard or past your limit, offering modifications if you dont have enough strength, flexibility, or durability to attempt a pose.

I can safely and confidently recommend peachtree yoga to my friends and family, even older folks; not to mention great classes themselves. Will definitely be coming back!

Efrain Brady who teaches tai chi here every Sunday morning is the best I’ve found in Atlanta. The classes have been centering, refreshing and rejuvenating. I’ve found Efrain a very welcoming, knowledgeable and good teacher.

Tai chi can be practiced or expressed in 2 ways — As a martial art, or as “Moving Meditation”. Efrain teaches the art of Moving Meditation, which works for me because I’m looking for something to help me unplug from work and get me to breathe, move and improve coordination while developing mindfulness of mind and body.

Tai chi has Chinese origins, but I can attest to the depth of Efrain’s knowledge and skills. I spent my teens and twenties immersed in Chinese martial arts, my uncle is a world famous qigong teacher, and I’ve friends and family who are TCM doctors, so I know more than most about what’s genuine and what’s quack. I’ve seen my fair share of quacks and the nuances in the between.

I think Efrain is the best that I’ve found in Atlanta because with decades of experience as a licensed tai chi and TCM practitioner, he has the knowledge, science and principles of the use of tai chi as a wholistic path to a healthy spirit and body. At the same time, I can see that he has martial arts foundation as well, so his postures are polished and when I ask about postures or for tips on helping me move right, the depth of his knowledge shows with how his explanations and suggestions are so on point. Efrain is very balanced and meets you where you’re at.

I’m leaving this review because Peachtree Yoga doesn’t show up on Google Map as a location for tai chi, but it should! Efrain is a hidden gem.

My experience in the Peachtree Yoga/Atlanta Yoga Fellowship teacher training program was outstanding and far better than I could have ever expected. I, like many new teachers, initially joined the training program to continue to develop my asana practice, but over the course of the training I learned so much more--yoga as philosophy, meditation practice, pranayama work, anatomy, yoga as a way of being/living. The instructors and mentors were very knowledgeable and gentle guides through the process. They were very encouraging and always there to answer questions or concerns. Through this training not only am I ready to teach some asana classes, I have developed a new practice for self-care and made wonderful friendships. I am eager to continue on the path that Peachtree has shown me. I highly recommend this program, especially for folks who want to experience the fullness of a yogic practice.

I completed my 200 hour and 300 hour YTT certification with Peachtree Yoga Center and it was truly a life-changing experience. The program is a very well-balanced and comprehensive deep dive into the 8 limbs of yoga. I took the 200 & 300 YTT here. I Met fabulous people and the journey was magnificent. I learned what and what not to do. They offer a spiritual study for beginners that delves into eastern philosophy, eastern cultural concepts of spirituality, while utilizing a few ancient text as guides. Meditation is also high on the course spectrum, with a couple of sessions each class day.

You will be challenged to truly become a teacher and to begin to build your very own practice and style of teaching. You can take what you feel truly benefited you and apply it to your life. You’ll learn that no one is perfect and that we all still have room to grow to truly become the best version of ourselves, in order to reflect the pure light of the CREATIVE SOURCE! You’ll also learn to navigate people, different temperaments, backgrounds and personality types.

I feel that I’ve met some individuals that I will have a lifelong bond with.

I completed my 200 & 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Peachtree Yoga Center. Both programs far exceeded expectations, and the bar was set pretty high after completing the 200 hour course there. Their training program will take you into a deep dive into yourself, and provide you with the tools to face the journey with gratitude and an open heart. You will learn a deeply rewarding meditation practice that will support every facet of your life, and learn the philosophy and spiritual teachings that are the foundation of the yoga practice. You will also learn from the best teachers and mentors how to teach, how to queue a sequence, how to verbalize your instructions to the point that you can teach a class without having to demo, and so much more. This program is comprehensive. If you are thinking about enrolling in a YTT program, do not hesitate to seek it in PYC - it will be one of the most amazing and transformational experiences of your life.

Transformative does not even begin to describe my experience taking the 200-hour YTT program at Peachtree Yoga Center (Atlanta Yoga Fellowship). I went into it simply to further my yoga practice, with only the slightest interest in teaching. I am now coming out of the experience a more complete and true version of myself, with the tools to both continue to go inward, seeking the Self, as well as be truly present with the world around me. At this point I feel completely confident in my ability to teach a full, balanced, and dynamic yoga class, but during the process I realized that is only a secondary bonus. At Peachtree Yoga Center they cultivate people. They introduce you to yourself, teach you to go inward via meditation and the application of the Chakra system, and only from that basis are you taught how to "teach yoga." It is this basic, but tried and true formula which allows PYC to consistently graduate teachers that go on to be very successful. Taking this teacher training was the best decision I've ever made. If you are looking to take teacher training, but also seek a life-altering, eye-opening experience, look no further.

4 months. 10 weekends. 200 hours and my life has forever changed. I am now a certified Yoga teacher (CYT200) through Peachtree Yoga Center. I resorted to Yoga two years ago when the pandemic hit the world and I remember feeling less anxious about the future every time I practiced on the mat. Yoga was a daily routine that became a habit and then my passion. I started to seek answers and that is when I knew that I needed to deepen my yoga practice and get the "basics" right. I joined the 200hr YTT program to get the "basics" right, little did I know that I will be coming out of the program with so much more than that. Besides attaining my certification, I have been blessed to have made some amazing friends for life. Friends who understand the true meaning of community and sisterhood. Thank you to my teachers, mentors, fellow yogis, my family and especially my husband for being supportive of my decision and journey. There is still so much more to learn and grow in the world of yoga and I know this is just the beginning for me. This program has been a transformational experience and I can say that I am healed from my past. Trust yourself. Trust the process and Trust your teachers and mentors in the program and you will come to the other side victorious!! I will forever hold the circle and my teachers in the highest regard. Namaste!

Sometimes you may have the right path just in front of you but you either keep getting second thoughts about it or keep postponing it for future and then you reach at the right place which was PYC for me. Here, you are not only motivated to take baby steps but also there is constant support of mentors and your soul tribe to let you walk at your own pace to move towards your destination. The knowledgeable Mentors, the positive environment and the loving community instills Confidence in you and take you into a transformative journey. If you are open to infinite possibilities then PYC is the right place for you.

PYC is one of the first Yoga studio to start the teacher training in Atlanta. They have immense experience and knowledge to make sure that you get a comprehensive understanding of Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation and Yoga philosophy. Looking around for a yoga studio that fully embraces the essence of yoga, I found PYC. Most studios I've been to in and around Atlanta focus on the asanas (poses); pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation are not in the focus. PYC offers it all, depending on where the yogi wants to take it. Classes at PYC work your body, mind and soul. Teachers are highly experienced and facilitate divers classes - from restorative, gentle, yin, basic to intermediate and power flow classes. A class for everyBODY and every mood that one can be in. And in each class you learn something new - whether insights or a new pose! PYC is the real thing if you want to explore what yoga is about.

Personally I decided to take the teacher training at PYC, and it changed my life profoundly. Graham, Ilona and the other mentors taught us all we needed to know during those intense training weekends to become proficient in teaching classes - techniques, wisdom and humbleness. I am endlessly grateful for this journey. Definitely the most complete teacher training one can do in and around Atlanta!

I’m a recent graduate of PYC and if I could give them more stars I would. It was a life changing experience and I’m not sure words can do it justice. There is a reason that it has been around for 20 years. The training is excellent and the teachers put their heart and soul into the program. I was so sad my training was over that I plan to take the 300 hour training as well. The beauty of PYC is that not only are they training the best teachers in Atlanta but anyone can go there and experience the difference by taking their classes.

I am beyond grateful for Graham, Ilona, our mentors and fellow yogi friends.

I also thoroughly enjoy the classes. The atmosphere is peaceful, welcoming and the teachers are creative and inspiring. I always learn something new to deepen my own practice. I love that they offer fruit at the end of the class where I can meet like minded people, get to know the teacher better and ask any questions I may have. Peach Tree Yoga Studio is a rare gem. Teacher Training at Peachtree Yoga was more than I ever expected. They came highly recommended by my three favorite teachers who were all trained there.
I went for the classes in Anatomy, Ethics and Philosophy, unsure whether I had the "right stuff" to be a teacher. I surprised myself by enjoying teaching and looking forward to it by the end of a thorough and well rounded program of teacher training. I was completely prepared for teaching my first class and it went great!
I met wonderful teachers and new friends in a safe, friendly environment. We learned more about ourselves then we ever imagined and watched each other blossom in strength and confidence. We laughed, cried, struggled and encouraged each other. We sweated through long asana flows and then meditated together in comfortable, sustaining silence. We didn't just read philosophy, we presented and debated it. We didn't just memorize the names of muscles, we watched them move and learned the effects and purpose of the asanas. It was not easy, but ALL the teachers put their hearts and souls into it and it was a marvelous awakening.
If you are looking to really dive into the "yoke" that is yoga - to expand not just the physical practice but to stretch your mental and emotional wings, this course is for you. Know that, like life, if you want the effect, you must put in the effort. Anyone who commits to a daily practice, meditation and coursework will find this course transforming. I highly recommend this to serious students.

I don't have enough words to describe how amazing the Yoga Teacher Training was at PYC! The mentors are kind, compassionate, knowledgeable. They make sure that when you graduate , you know what you're doing. The content of the course, includes not only the learning of the asanas, or poses. Graham takes the time to explain, and explore the many aproaches to Pranayama and meditation as well. After finishing the course, I now have the undestanding of how the poses should be explored to give students the full benefits of their practice. The group of people attending this classes, were from all walks of life, which helped to enrich my world. I left feeling like I matured as a yogini, and as a person. Thank you Graham, Betsy, Renee, and Ilona for all your support, kindness, and patience through out our course.

I highly recommend it, if you want to learn with one of the best

Beautiful studio, caring and knowledgeable teachers, and a wonderful experience all around. I just completed my 200 hour teaching program with Peachtree Yoga and it was everything I needed it to be and more. I would do it again in a heartbeat. They truly care there and help you in anyway you need to grow into a confident yoga teacher and yogi for life. It truly became a home away from home for me and I love the yoga family I gained.

I have been to a ton of Yoga studios in Atlanta and the experience here was incredible. The teachers are really, really good and the 3 classes I have taken so far were perfect for people of all abilities. It is a very zen place. I was very impressed!

I'm attending teacher training at PYC and I absolutely love it! I feel that the course has equipped me with the skills that I need to teach confidently and to guide my students through a safe and effective practice. The course also offers great opportunities for personal introspection, self-study, and self-love so that you can be a better person all the way around.

Peachtree Yoga Center is a shining jewel in the midst of yoga studio choices in Atlanta. Many of the successful studios around town were founded by graduates of the Atlanta Yoga Fellowship Teacher Training Program offered exclusively at Peachtree Yoga. I often say' '' it is common to find a yoga class that challenges us physically but it is very rare to find a studio with instructors who can actually impart to us a deeper understanding of the process''. I feel all the staff at PYC live their practice on and off the mat. For the first timer interested in finding out what yoga is about to the most advanced practitioners wanting to deepen their own knowledge Peachtree Yoga is a welcoming and loving place to come.

I have been attending Peachtree yoga for several years. The hidden gem in the studio is Jayshree's prenatal yoga class, which I started when pregnant with my first baby in 2014. Jayshree is a true expert in prenatal yoga. Not only that, she truly cares about her students. The class starts by checking in on what week of pregnancy you are in and then if we have any issues as related to pregnancy. She does this to assess the needs of each woman and tailor the class in order to prevent injuries as well as aid in relief. She also asks about yoga experience as some women have never practiced yoga whereas others were very skilled. She explains to the class the purpose of this is to recommend modifications through the poses. My first class I started with lower back pain resulting from pregnancy and it was relieved once the class was finished. Since then I was hooked with attending the class every week. As I continued with the class I started to not only benefit physically, but mentally and spiritually. I was also going to the gym at least 5 days a week but her class was the major driving force that brought me peace and relaxation during my pregnancy. Her class prepares you for the unknown that comes with labor something that other labor classes don't teach( I took 5 classes at the hospital and didn't learn the pearls of wisdom that I learned from Jayshree). Once we finish with the class she has fruit for the class members and allows us to talk for a few mins with other women as well as her. I have never been to a yoga class that is also so supportive and welcomes forming connections with others. I have met some amazing women in the class and continue to keep in touch with them. Jayshree would also send us birth stories from women in the class that were educational, inspirational, and full of gratitude. I was very sad when I was approaching the end of my pregnancy as I wanted to continue benefiting from her class. I remember thinking I wish she taught a regular yoga class too. I am now pregnant again and returned to her class happily. I have been doing yoga for over 15 years and Jayshree hands down is the best. She truly cares and is passionate and professional. My only complaint is that there is only one class she teaches per week as I think pregnant women could benefit from yoga several times a week. Pregnancy and labor is no joke and if you want to be prepared physically and mentally take her class.

I very rarely if ever write reviews. My experience with PYC took place 3-4 months ago- and I can't stop thinking about the damage that Jayshree (Prenatal Yoga Instructor) could potentially cause on pregnant women. When I found out I was pregnant - my regular yoga teacher recommended I try a few prenatal classes before coming back to regular yoga. The class was 90 minutes- and I can honestly say we only actually practiced yoga about 20 minutes. The remainder of the time she went around the room and asked each of us how our pregnancy was going (mind you this made me uncomfortable- as I do not want/need other people to know what is going on in my body). She then took the time to TELL each of us how we SHOULD be managing our pregnancy symptoms- because she is a Doctor???? She proceeded to preach to us how we should only consider natural childbirth and that having and epidural could harm us- (again because she is a doctor?). Mommy shame/guilt is strong enough when you are expecting- but now I have to hear it at yoga? I was so offended, I have never attended another prenatal class. I also went back to my regular yoga instructor and told her my experience- she swore to never refer anyone to her again.

It didn't stop there... I signed up for her "email" list. She sends frequent emails trying to solicit you to buy things and donate to causes. She also further reiterates how you should be handling your pregnancy and preaches her religious and personal views. I even received and email talking about how many women die during childbirth????? My husband read the emails and wanted to call the studio and complain. Instead, I just unsubscribed to her emails (which I should have done long before that). Do not go to her class.. she is self promoting and has her own agenda that could cause harm to you! I am sure there are other prenatal classes out there... Namaste
