How satisfying it is to start the day in the morning visiting the gym. Especially when the staff who receive the customers are very nice, My wife and I are very happy to visit the Planet Fitness with a friendly staff and a fresh and clean environment, especially we want to highlight someone from the staff, who is very friendly, kind and helpful always smiling, Cory Smith. I’ve been coming to the Banks Crossing PF for about 8 months now. It’s really clean and they seem to have a lot of machines so you never have to wait. The workers are nice too. It also saves me from having to drive to my old gym in Athens which was just too long of a commute everyday and I did it for 4 years. The only reason I give it 3 stars is because on weekends when I come in, the weekend morning workers, turn the fans down to the lowest settings and it’s so hot and humid in there. You can ask them to turn them up, and they do, but only briefly, and then turn them right back down. I don’t need them on high speed and I do want to sweat but there just isn’t enough air circulating. The weekday morning workers do a much better job of this, maybe keeping it on a medium speed? It’s very frustrating and I often feel nauseous on weekends in there because of this. I also think it’s very immature and unprofessional of them to change the setting of the fans within about 20 mins of a customers request every single weekend. Just disappointing. Weekday people are great! Hard workers, always cleaning, accommodating, pleasant, etc. Weekend people are aloof, unprofessional, always on their phones behind the counters, and just seem disinterested in customer service.

My family and I have been going to this gym for around 4 years now. My husband has been single out as my daughter was a few months back. I’m not one to mention race, but it seems odd when another gym member who is in a relationship with the manager has been approaching my husband for illegal drugs, which he doesn’t sell. After he and the other member spoke, the manager approached me while I was sitting and stood over me with the other member standing close by. This was very threatening and made me feel uncomfortable as I spoke in my husband’s defense.

I visited this location because I’m on a work stay here in this city. I’m a PF Black Card member at my home location and I LOVE IT, the staff is always so nice and welcoming. But here, I don’t want to throw the race card out at all because again, at my home location the staff is always courteous and welcoming. I came to this location on Tuesday around 10 a.m. my first time ever going to another location that’s not my own. (Mind you, my hotel has a gym so I could have worked out there but decided to go where I love).
So I hesitated on scanning my card because I just wanted to be sure it would accept here and the guy at the front desk had an annoying look on his face and stated .. “you can scan it” , no greetings or anything. That was my first red flag, a lady of a white race came behind me and she was instantly greeted with a smile. Again I stayed, and noted the second red flag. When I purchased a water, this time it was a girl whom checked me out. No smile, just a bland noticeable but unnoticeable attitude. 3rd red flag.
Despite it, I tried to stick to my workout but I could not get past those events. When I was leaving, I didn’t have my headphones in, didn’t hear a goodbye or anything . I held the door for the lady of white race coming behind me, as soon as she passed the desk, the girl told her “have a nice day” with a smile.
I’m a woman of a black race and my home location is Warner Robins and im so displeased and heartbroken that I received this treatment from this location because the gym is very nice! However, I worked out no more than 10 minutes and I was out of there, I don’t plan on visiting this location ever again while im in this city. This makes me scared to visit another location that’s not my own.

I’ve been to two locations and was very much looking forward to working out but I was screamed at by an older, bald, male staff member upon entering the lobby of the Commerce, GA location. I joined because it's about the only gym in my home area and they are all over the nation, which is good when we travel. My teens can come with me for free. Love the spa. However, the "lunk" button is obnoxious. It describes someone who is successful at the gym. Since grunting is frowned upon, I'll just moan instead.

I can’t give a fair review yet we just signed up and have been 1 time I will say the place is packed with equipment of every type didn’t get to use much other then the tread mill as the place was packed at 5 pm or so the day we went hoping this isn’t a normal thing seemed to be a lot of people camped out on the lifting equipment chatting and looking at them selfs in the mirror we got the black cards even the tanning bed and the hydro massage tables had a long waiting list but we are hoping for the best and to be able to use the equipment more at a time that fits your schedule if not we will cancel and find a better spot all in all though looks like a good place place to go I’ll update my review in time

I go for tanning. Very crowded lines for it due to not so many beds like some of the newer Planet Fitnesses. They only have two laydown beds with warm air as you air-conditioned bed you lay in. However I will say the stand up beds seem better then several years ago. The laydowns are old and i think they need a upgrade like newer PFs. Gainesville and Cornelia locations are the best.

Almost no one in here at 6pm on a Sunday and that was great. I did the Thirty Minute Circuit and then a shower. All of the equipment I used was working just fine.

Shower was great - I love the glass doors and the changing area had a bench so I didn't have to perch myself quite as much when changing back into my street clothes.

Definitely one of the nicer PFs that I have encountered!

The gentleman behind the counter tonight, 05/24/24, showed us the best customer service we’ve experienced yet at this gym. He was attentive, kind, hard working and really showed such great customer care. None of the paper towel machines were empty, the tanning room/massage chair areas had no full trash cans, and he was constantly going around tidying up the gym throughout the evening. He welcomed us when we arrived and was just as kind when we were leaving. We saw him do more and say more, than we’ve seen two to three employees working at the same time do. He was a breath of fresh air and we wanted to give credit where credit is due. We didn’t catch his name, but hopefully the owner can see who was working while we were there.

After the tanning beds being down for over a month I was shocked when I got in #3 this morning 2 lights worked on the bottom and half on top was out BUT THE PART THAT DISCUSSED ME THE MOST IS THE FILTH THAT REMAINS IN THE TANNING ROOMS AND ON THE BEDS !!!!🤢🤬I'VE HAD TO THROW MY SOCKS AWAY BECAUSE OF SCUM THAT WAS STUCK TO THE BOTTOM OF THEM I TOLD Numerous workers how nasty and they needed attention but nothing has ever been done.
I just wonder if the owner knows the level of.
Nastiness. It would be nice if someone could do at least a deep weekly clean in each room. And for the bed to be completely fixed after being broke for a month.

First of all, you get what you pay for and for $25 a month, I'm not gonna be canceling my membership. However .... it really speaks to the company priorities when, after running the locally owned gym out of business, they care nothing about maintaining their equipment. They are now down to ONE tanning bed which means it pretty much runs 24/7, and is hot and dirty as hell itself must be. Literally dirt underneath the cracked plexiglass that has been there for the year I have been going. I convinced myself that the booth was better because all I had to touch was my feet and hands. Now this is their only option.
Massage chairs have been both down for months. There is a toilet out of order today in the women's room.
Like, okay it's cheap, but at this point you're lying about what you offer and failing to do even the most basic maintenance.
Writing this hoping someone will see and FIX THE ISSUES.
