My concerns from the recent visit to this Planet Fitness regarding running out of water and out of order water dispenser for bottles were addressed swiftly and with contrition from management, especially Que who listened. Water was purchased by him at a local store. The problem was failed delivery from the vendor. I appreciate the swift response.

I love this Planet Fitness. It’s one of the biggest in the area with plenty room and never overly crowded. Machine are always working and they keep it very clean. It’s also closer to my house. I was so happy when it opened a few years ago. How long is construction planning to take? It has been a huge inconvenience that my home gym is not open due to construction.after visiting a few of the other planet Fitness in the area this one was the best!!

Been a member since opening... gym is clean, not overcrowded... however they need to take better care of the elipticals and the "arc trainer" like ellipticals. They are not firmly balanced to the floor. Even where there are plenty, one has an out of service sign for months. Ive reported the unstable ellipticals several times and they don't seem to care. If it werent my closer to home, I would've moved my membership to another location. They wobble to the sides

This gym is slowly decaying in cleanliness and maintenance. Trash cans are almost full all the time, a bad odor/stench emerges now when as soon as you open the door. There is even an area with black plastic covering it and closed. Ellipticals are mostly unstable and not properly attached to floor. Free weight and smith machines are mostly occupied all the times with people even recording stuff in their phones which is supposed to be prohibited.

It is sad to see it going down since it is the only "decent" gym on this area. I've been on most of the PF locations around and this is gradually becoming the worst. You are in time to recover it before see it failing. Take care of it.

If I were silly enough to allow an unskilled entry level worker dictate the terms of my membership termination, then “Z” would have had the right one this morning. But machine cleaning training isn’t enough to operate in the capacity that she tried to operate in.
She actually said that she didn’t know PF has a corporate office, she said it’s a “headquarters”. lol. Now, I know good help is hard to find these days but sacrificing mental competency just to fill a position can come back a hurt the entire operation. The same predatory practices she tried to implement are similar to the same practices that sent Bally’s belly up from a class action lawsuits.
Her job requirements are simple. Smile, clean, and press the buttons on computer. All that extra, “I’m going to let you cancel” rhetoric is unwarranted. Because at the end of the day, you’re going to do exactly what I tell you to do when it’s in regards to my money, you can’t “let” me do nothing.

on December 9, 2024 around 8:15/8:20 pm. As a regular member who uses the gym frequently, I was hoping to use one of the massage chairs today. When I arrived at the front desk to request assistance, no one was there, so I waited for about 20-25 minutes. During this time, I even knocked on all the employee-only doors and tried calling the store multiple times, but received no response. I even had time to think about starting the service myself. Eventually, two employees, Ike and Jemari, entered the area and asked “do you need something”, which felt dismissive given the extended time I had already been waiting. I felt like my request for help was being overlooked and that my patience was not being respected. Trashes are overflowing during this time

If it’s not the inconsiderate folks on the phone next to you, it’s the genius’ that have two dumbbells, a curling bar, and a smith machine and use none, while on the phone.and when you politely ask to use it they think it belongs to them. There is a phone policy … But the best is the guy who is seated on the knee rest backwards at the lat pull down cable machine who must be training to blow a whistle on a train. This planet fitness is lacking. Before you respond manager.. the old gray mare ain’t never there.

This is my home gym however I moved to Detroit. I called to transfer my membership. Over a span of two days I was hung up on, told they can't do it, can't find me in system, and can dance the manager even acting like she could not hear me before hanging up. Can dance finally spoke to me said she can't look me up was extremely rude and refused to give me corporate number. She told me to look it up. My pf app has this location as home and I used the app to click the number to home store. She is refusing to transfer me.

I was a member here for almost 3 years. Always been clean and not really overcrowded. I had to change gyms because I felt like I out grew planet fitness. And it doesn't have any free weights and the dumbbells are limited to 75 lbs. But overall it's a great beginners gym. I highly recommend the Ellenwood location

I went to this location in January 2024 for a walk through to see if I wanted to join. I had previously been a member in Jonesboro and had a problem with their staff accepting the termination of my membership in 2019. I proved that the Jonesboro location erroneously failed to accept my termination as a walk in. In 2024, the Ellenwood location was still using the Jonesboro termination of membership to deny me a walk through or tell me whether I could join their new location. Although the employee I spoke with was a Black female, I still believe the refusal was because of my race. She kept me waiting at the desk for almost 15 minutes while she was supposedly on the phone with a regional manager to get approval of the walk through. I got tired of waiting and left. I question whether she called anyone at all. So much for their "Judgment free zone." I would like to know if anyone has had a similar experience with any Planet Fitness.

Absolutely the worst customer service staff ever they are ALL nasty and rude especially the manger it’s like they thrive on peoples sadness I’ve moved and sent. A letter to cancel my membership the lady swears they didn’t receive it I’m homeless they took 3 charges within the past 2weeks and mind you I’ve never been to the gym not once it’s like a death contract or something I expressed to here how bad I needed my little 30 back after taking regular dues on the 17th then charged 30 on April 30th then another 23 on the 16th of may life I’m fighting for my life her and the lady couldn’t show a bit of empathy if I had a car and lived in that state I would of been did it corporate will be here from me bcuz it shouldn’t be this hard when life is already hard like I said worst staff ever

I have been a black card member for nearly two years at the Ellenwood, GA location. Today, a staff member decided (on a whim) to harassed me about using my own Clorox wipes when cleaning the machines; claiming that the wipes were damaging the machines. Also, I am very aware that this location(Ellenwood, GA) has switch ownership 3 or more times due to complaints from former members about harassing staff and management(owners). If I continue to be harassed at this location for using my own antibacterial wipes for cleaning; not only I will seek legal action against the current owner and staff; Also, I will actively "vouch" for another fitness center (The Fitness Connection) to "set shop" in Ellenwood, GA; resulting in the permanent closure of Planet Fitness at this location. Moreover, " I am not the one" to be bullied or harassed.

Do not use this planet fitness. After being a member through my insurance program Silver Sneakers for 3 years, they just randomly deleted my account out of the system. I asked them and the young male staff member with Locs couldn’t tell me. Then he got his manager the woman who said she has been there two years, and she tells me it’s because my silver sneakers number doesn’t match other silver sneakers numbers. That DOES NOT make sense. I called my insurance and they stated that should not be a reason, when I just had visited the gym a month prior, and the gym was paid for that visit. For whatever reason, the manager would not sign me back up. I feel it’s because of I didn’t have a regular membership and it was being paid by my insurance. DO NOT VISIT OR JOIN this Planet fitness. It’s not worth it. And whoever the Franchise owner of this gym is should be ashamed and better train staff. I have also contacted BBB. Hopefully it affects their consumer score.

Gym is clean and machines are new. Everything is kept up well and cleaned throughout the day. Staff is kind and helpful. I would have rated a 5, except they don't open on time. Saturday morning sitting here since 8. It's 8:19 and they aren't open. Online, on door and on app it says 7:00 am. No signs are posted on the door.

I canceled today. Horrible experience today plus the strong smell of gas, but no one seemed concerned at all. Very discouraging as I was just starting to use my membership again after a hiatus.

The location is convenient and the atmosphere is not overwhelming with loud music or athletes in training. It is more like a community gym.
However it seems fixated on FOX. They have theee screens on FOX News. There are 20 screens but FOX is the only one with three and they are not in sequential order due to the central focus on FOX. Mind you this is a largely Black area and the patrons are predominately Black.
Ps, the leg extension machines stay broke. There is just one that is available consistently out of three.

Planet Fitness is an entry level gym. It’s understandable to a degree why the rules are so strict. The public has created this overtime. It’s a good gym for teens. You aren’t allowed to have a big water bottle (hydroflask), have your hoodie on the side of your treadmill or jump rope because it’s a safety hazard. You will be heavily monitored in an overwhelming way.. they will gladly interrupt your workout over mediocre concerns. planet fitness hasn’t had the best reputation over the years, and I see why. I feel so bad for the locals that live in this area that only have access to this gym.
If you’re looking for the common gym experience Lifetime is way better.

Horrible experience! Was told by the manager that I previously owed on a previous account (I used my EXACT same email as I did years ago *AFTER* i came to this location and worked out numerous times prior with no issues the same week) she said because of this I could not work out and that I neeeded to present documentation in order to work out there at planet fitness. She said the other location gave me until that friday to present documentation or my account would close out, I never went back to provide documentation on a so call balance from 4 years ago so the account should have been closed like I was told. But No , The manager kept it open and allowed my so call “new account” to ge charged month after month after month when I was told I could not even work out at this location. Instead of her apologizing for this mis communication and mis understanding she did NOT take away this “new” balance and refuse to do so. New management is needed because they act like the money from these memberships are going towards their lunchbreaks or something…. DONT GO HERE do LA FITNESS

Planet Fitness has taken the policy that if your primary method of payment isn't your checking account, they will harass you as a member until you do so. After being a member for 12 years, I got tired of the harassment and cancelled my membership. The staff at this location was so unprofessional, I ended my relationship with planet fitness and created my own home gym. Best decision I have made in some time.

Be sure to get ALL the details of canceling your membership before you cancel it. The entire staff, management included, misled me during my cancelation. First time at location staff hassled myself and guest about not having a profile picture. Staff insisted they needed my id . I will be reporting them to corporate office . Also, I will be reporting ARIEL for her poor customer service at this location she doesn’t need to be working at this type of place if she doesn’t want to speak with people. ARIEL was completely unprofessional, monotone, and condescending. As a black card member , i can go to LA fitness where they will treat me better. Then, she insisted on looking me up to use the massage chair as if she didn’t believe i was a black card member. Even though i had already told ARIEL I was. Poor management. I was misinformed about the billing policy told that something would get handled and after driving 20 min home and back to the location I was told I would have to drive 20 min back to another location because they couldn’t help me. Gym is overcrowded. Shoulder to shoulder equipment is 6 in apart there's a line to fill your water bottle and they're cracking down on the rules so you can't bring in a step bench and do your own thing in a small corner there's no empty space to do your own thing
