We joined the center on Canton Rd at in Marietta under Silver Sneakers because it is close to our house. A young man named James helped us. He treated us with respect instead of like old people. The center is large, lots of different equipment. James told us about an orientation class to learn about all of the equipment, so I am attending today. We are excited about the continuing our health journey. We have mostly been walking & doing free weights at home.

My mom and I took PE@PF classes there since we are black card members and our instructor Keisa from the Kennesaw (Barrett Pkwy) gym is on vacation.

This location here is too small and the lights here are very dark. The black spa looks decent though but we went there twice for the massage chairs.

Although, I do like Jessica though because I thought she was a pretty good instructor and the staff here were really kind to us.

But we're not gonna be coming back here again since I already canceled my mom's classes and my classes for tomorrow.

Basic gym but what do you expect for $10 a month. Great for beginners or early intermediate gym goers. Not the place for advanced lifters. Dumbbells only go the 75lbs and all benches are Smith machines. Always clean but sometimes during peak hours it's just way to crowded.

I signed up here in July. I wasn't an avid gym person. Until, I joined this gym! The staff is absolutely AMAZING and I find myself wanting to go every day and my workout time is longer and I get so much done. I truly enjoy being in this gym. I didn't realize how much it improves not just my physical condition but mental health also. I am amazed at what this place has done for me! BEWARE i went in to cancel my membership about two weeks ago, then after i left i got charged my monthly and annual fee AGAIN and had to go BACK IN to cancel for a second time. Like coming here. The problem is when some of the members that sweat a lot do not clean up after themselves. Nobody should be cleaning and disinfecting after someone who is not hygienic like that. ### Review for Planet Fitness on Canton Rd

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting several Planet Fitness locations, but none compare to the exceptional team at the Canton Rd location. The staff here—Taisha, Jelon, Scarlett, Melissa, and Vaughn—truly set this gym apart. Their friendliness and dedication are unmatched, making every visit a fantastic experience.

The cleanliness of this facility is consistently impressive. The gym is always spotless, the bathrooms are meticulously maintained, and there is never a shortage of paper towels. Even the hand dryers are always in perfect working order. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in keeping the environment pristine.

As a frequent visitor, I’ve had the opportunity to interact with the staff at all hours of the day, and their warmth and professionalism are unwavering. This consistency speaks volumes about their commitment to providing excellent service.

I would like to suggest to the management of this location, and possibly to other locations as well, to consider using bar stools at the front desk computers. This would help the staff avoid the fatigue that comes from standing all day while maintaining eye-level contact with gym members.

Overall, my experience at Planet Fitness on Canton Rd has been phenomenal. Despite joining another gym for access to a sauna and pool, I am seriously considering canceling that membership because I prefer the welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service here. Thank you to Taisha, Jelon, Scarlett, Melissa, Vaughn, and the entire team for making this my favorite place to work out!

My local PF has just invested in new cardio equipment and the vibe here is electric! We have been members for a few years now and love being able to visit clubs when traveling. Solid gym. Usually clean and equipment is usually functional and available. They got a bunch of new treadmills, and it appears they didn't leave any instructions on how to use it. The treadmills aren't designed well enough to figure it out, like the old ones. It says something about the business that they are willing to invest in all this new stuff, but can't be bothered to invest in giving their employees the tools they need to help their customers. Huge fail.

Edit for owner: I got with one of the employees. They couldn't figure it out either. If I have to get with a manager to show me how to set up intervals on your treadmill, the design is a fail, and employee training is a fail.

This gym is a hidden gem! Don't let the run-down location fool you - once you step inside, you'll be blown away by the sheer size of this place. It's a vast improvement over my old gym in Kennesaw, which always felt cramped and crowded. But here, if you visit at 9:30 pm or 7 am on weekends, you'll practically have the place to yourself! And when you do share the space, the machines are well-spaced, giving you plenty of breathing room. Plus, those windows! They let in so much natural light, making the gym feel bright and energizing. I give this gym a perfect score of 10/10!

Stay clear of this location. Yesterday, they harassed a member because he was stretching with his shoes off. The young man tried to explain to them multiple times that he was stretching and then placing the items back where they belong then putting his shoes back on but the staff members continued to get loud with the member and threatened to revoke his membership. The General Manager Joe Davenport would rather call new members who notify them via internal survey about a fire code violation (non compliant fire extinguishers after 6 years) in his gym to demand a better review than replace the fire extinguishers that he's legally required to do.

Joe Davenport also prefers to cancel memberships for anyone unwilling to rewrite a new internal survey that makes him look good, after harassing them, instead of his job when his job involves doing one simple task every 6 years.

I love how close it is to my house and how empty it is but other then that I wouldn’t come here. The men’s locker room always reeks of weed.
The stations are very dirty. There is an elliptical machine that has had the same paper towel stuffed in it for weeks so I know they don’t deep clean the equipment. The paper towels are usually empty. Front desk people usually stand up front the whole time or are no where to be found. The bathroom always has toilet paper everywhere.

Great if you love treadmills and eliptical machines. Bad if you want to workout with any kind of weight, or do any other kind of cardio. Never see more than half the treadmills full and never more than 5-6 people on the elipticals, but they take up over half the gym. Really bad setup with only a few machines/squat racks that stay completely full with lines waiting to work out. Couple times I've tried the 30 minute circuit there have people in there sitting on the machines and they won't move so you have to skip stuff.

Generally a good experience. However, if you get there at 7 on Saturday you might be waiting for an employee to open the store for awhile. I was there at 7am on May 6th and waited with a group of people until 7:30 am. Not sure when someone actually showed up. It says it opens at 7 on Saturday, you’re probably better off assuming it won’t be open till 8 am. This is a reoccurring theme on the weekends.
