This used to be my favorite Planet Fitness, but my experience here has been shocking and completely unacceptable. I went in calmly to ask about a $40 charge on my account that I had no idea about. I explained that I had already paid my annual fee and that my contract said nothing about extra charges for an outdated card.

Instead of helping or even listening, the manager was extremely rude and dismissive. She told me to just cancel my membership, speaking with attitude and arrogance that left me stunned. I felt humiliated, disrespected, and like I didn’t matter at all as a paying member.

Because of this, I am canceling my membership and I will never set foot in this location again. Planet Fitness claims to be “Judgment Free,” but the behavior I experienced was completely the opposite.

I am a very happy member of this Planet Fitness.
I have been a member of a few gyms in my lifetime tracking and living in different cities.I must give Tamar and his staff a standing ovation for the turn around of this gym.
It has always been clean and friendly.
I must add that since Tamar has been here it has skyrocketed into the stars.

Upon registering membership at PF. I needed further assistance concerning the contract. Kendra explained in full detail of the membership fees, the 10× limit outside your home gym per month as a black card member. She was meticulous with every questions and concerns as a member. Go to any planet fitness but this one. idk why the staff member thought it was okay to threaten to call the police to make me leave after I said multiple times I was leaving. I have been a member of this gym since 2019. Recently under new management the place has started to sparkle. It is incredibly clean, the staff is more friendly and the entire environment has changed. I believe this is a result of the new manager - Temar. Great guy who takes a ton of pride in this place.

This is my home gym. I've seen the staff change seasonally however, I am NOT impressed with the Kendra & the manager. There's a way to get your message across without being rude, condescending and combative. Instigating an argument because you are not equipped with the proper skill set to deal with the general public speaks volumes to whoever has placed those 2 in their position.

Before reading my review that I posted previously, I would like to commend the manager, Temar Hudson, for responding to my complaint in a timely fashion. He definitely reassured me that I can work there but just in the black card area. He also acknowledged that I made a donation to the boys and girls club through this PF location and he was going to make sure that my next month is free! Now that’s, customer service! I appreciate him!

Loveeeeed (see how this is past tense) this location. Newly renovated and clean! Very lowkey, just like I like it. But today changed my views. It only took 2 mins.
This is not my home club but I come here when I drop my little cousin off to soccer practice with Atlanta United Academy team. And I have to pick him back up in a couple of hours to take him to school. So when I come to this PF location, I split my wait time. The first half I do work at the tables that are provided for members and the second half I get my workout in. I have done this a few times at this club with no problem. Today, the lady at the front desk with the curly hair, which I see her mentioned a couple of times in the reviews, told me I can’t work there due to liability issues. She said it’s because of security breaches with their Wi-Fi. I did inform her that I was using my hotspot but she told me it’s in my contract that I signed, that I can’t sit and work past 15 minutes. Even if this is true and it’s in my contract, for a loyal customer, I feel like I was not treated appropriately in this scenario and I felt very uncomfortable. Why do you have those tables there? What if I decide to use the Wi-Fi on my phone to do work, instead of laptop. How would you even know I’m working. If this is a policy, it needs to be changed. I’m thinking I might switch my membership, if this is how planet fitness treats you! Goodness

I’ve been at this location for three years and haven’t felt the need to leave a review until now! Today I ran into a mishap and Temar (the GM) was AMAZING! He listened with intent, showed empathy, solved my issue effectively and in a timely manner. Since he’s been the manager there has been a NOTICEABLE difference in the overall experience. More equipment, cleanliness, and the arrangement of the machines make much more sense. His management of the gym matches his customer service and both are top tier! Jalah (sorry if i spelled it wrong) is also amazing! She’s knowledgeable always has a smile, positive energy and helpful when needed! I’ve moved twice since joining but this remains my home location. 10/10 definitely recommend!

Well this isn't my home gym but I loved fact it's not busy or overly crowded when I'm attempting to workout .I just wish they would turn the fan over the regular bikes on pulse or something can you imagine get on the bike sweaty n wet from your last cardio to get frozen it really sucks I don't want get sick. I've always had a great experience here. Friendly staff...clean location but today someone tried to break into my vehicle in their parking lot. Thank GOODNESS I locked my vehicle before going in. They tried to get into the back passenger door. I noticed a significant gap when approaching my vehicle. Im just thankful I remembered to lock my doors before going in.

The new manager has REALLY turned the place around, between getting a friendlier staff, entirely turning around the space with cleaning and removing broken equipment this place has really improved. Going to the gym is hard but being able to show up to a clean spot with all working equipment has been a game changer. This is my favorite location and I refuse to go to others simply for the reasons listed.

New management (Tamar:-) AND THE GREAT STAFF has worked really hard at turning things around for my location. Obviously the new equipment is great, but it's the little things that count as well ... Cleaner spray bottles that work, paper towels that are in stock, broken glass/trash picked up, toilet seats that don't slide off, trash cans that are emptied, a clean club, and the list goes on. Employees are welcoming and friendly. Shout out to Jaylah for answering lots of questions and helping me with my daughter's membership. LIKES! Convenient location. Mega neat, clean restroom facilities (need to bring back toilet seat covers OR facsimile!), locker rooms & workout space. Jolly, knowledgeable staff. Vast selection of weight equip.

YIKES! Too many pivotal pieces of equipment have Do Not Use signs on them. Many for weeks on end. Repairs are too slow. But I believe I spotted a sign on the wall indicating new weight equipment is on order so I'm looking forward to the refresh.

SUGGESTION: PF consider holding periodic drawings for a free spa day - or 1/2 day - for current members. Great way to promote upgrading memberships while pampering a lucky member. [Hey, yesterday was my birthday]

If I could give it a -0 I would! WORST LOCATION ever! The managers were so rude to me, practically treated me like dirt because I didn’t want to wear shoes doing yoga! They followed me to the women’s locker room to tell me I can’t be there either! I said fine, I’m leaving! I LEFT, was in my car in the parking lot, they had called the COPS to issue me a citation for trespassing! The girl, Jaylah tried to tell the cops I yelled at her, and this is exactly why I pulled out my phone to record a voice memo, for this reason! I’ll probably be looking for a new gym! Went here on a limb because it was closer to the rest of the tasks I had to tackle today but I’d advise anyone who wants a peaceful and fun workout to visit the one at Cumberland as opposed to this one. I'm going to rate it one star because there is no option for zero. I just got kicked out of the gym with my husband and son because I was sitting in the gym waiting for them to finish their exercise. According to the attendant, I couldn't be there, I would have to keep moving around the place. I've never seen this anywhere else. We've always had memberships, I always wait for them, and this time in this specific place we were disrespected by an employee, and look, we paid for it, it's not free.

My son signed me up for planet fitness because I just had knee replacements to both of my knees. I had to continue to work out even when my physical therapy was completed. So I chose this facility located on Roswell Road Marietta GA because it was closer to where I lived. I was working out on December 1 around 10am. I wanted to use some equipment that I wasn’t familiar with I asked the staff for assistance. The response I got was to use my imagination. I was thrown off by the staff response to me, I can understand if just because you work at planet fitness you may not be familiar with how certain equipment function, but a better intelligent response would have satisfied me at that time. Since that day at that Planet fitness on Roswell Road I change locations because I did not feel safe working out in a facility that staff I felt if an emergency would have taken place would not know how to respond. Since I started at Marietta planet fitness facility, I do not know the employee‘s name, but he is the only employee that works mornings on December 1, 2024. In good conscience, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone that’s looking for staff that is knowledgeable and has the ability to take care of emergency situations that may come about in a physical environment like planet fitness. The facility that I have chosen In Kennesaw off Barrette Drive Has been great. I started with them December 2 and has been going every morning to work out. The staff is knowledgeable and has time to show clients around. Explain how to work the equipment and I feel safe secure working out with that staff. I do recommend that facility to anybody looking for a safe clean and knowledgeable staff environment.

The gym itself is okay. The equipment needs to be updated and things are often broken. My main reason for writing this review is the trainer. I am unsure of his name, but he is always staring at me while I'm just trying to workout. It makes me extremely uncomfortable and although I have shown him I'm uninterested, he doesn't stop. LADIES BEWARE of men in the women’s changing room. Do not get undressed or use the shower facilities at this location. In the last 3 months I have caught 2 men in the women’s restroom facility twice. It’s 2024 and you can’t cancel your membership online. I was told I had to come in to cancel my membership for 2 years so every month I’m getting charged. Decided to call one day to let them know I am unable to come in because I moved away. I was told to write a letter 🙄 I write this letter using the address on the app indicating “the home” gym I signed up with. In the beginning of Jan 2024 on the 17th (due date) I wasn’t charged I said great! Next thing I know I’m charged on the 20th!!!! I called again and got some young lady I told her I wrote the letter because I was told it’s the only way to cancel if I’m unable to come in she says “oh I cancel it for you” within less than 5 minutes I’m cancelled and receive a confirmation email. All that money wasted and that’s all that had to be done???? Nothing worse then being hustled!! If you can’t cancel it online DONT DO IT!!

Here’s an update to my review below. I received a reply from PF management explaining their policy on using the machines and offering assistance if the situation is repeated. They are also requiring summer students and their parents to sign something outlining considerate use of the facility. I am happy that management has been responsive to my concerns.

They need to train their clients. It’s not unusual to see someone sitting on a resistance machine looking at their iPhone for a considerable length of time of time. Yesterday, for 40 minutes. Maybe they could post signs on the machines: “ More than one minute’s rest between reps eliminates up to 50% of the gain achieved of the previous rep”. Might help everyone, especially those who patiently wait.

Yvette is a absolute delight all star! She is what makes this place awesome! She is friendly and kind and has a smile always on her face.

I was using one of the massage chairs and a new employee named “Tracey” came up to me in a confrontational way in front of a another customer and was rude and embarrassed me in front of the other people. She said “Sir, Sir that ain't cool and you need to get off the chair even though I got permission.

Love the gym. Having a good experience. Many machines have been down for the month I have been here, and people keep working out in the "circuit only section" which is annoying and inconvenient, but otherwise liking it. Staff is pretty friendly.

Suggestion... Rather than have members continually check in with managers on updates for broken machines, it would be great if CORPORATE would take responsibility for this and make sure management is getting machines fixed in a timely manner. Today a second stairmaster (out of 3 is broken). The first has been broken for months. When the 3rd goes, this will be a gym with no stairmasters. We love our stairmasters! Currently waiting to get on one.

The ladies locker room was so horrendous I didn’t even finish getting ready. I had to leave half way undone because I just couldn’t take it.

On the front entrance of the door, it stated they were giving 2 Atlanta Falcons tickets if you joined. Well, I joined and they said no more tickets were available and nothing else was offered. It was a false advertisement to get new members.

Always friendly staff. Very clean facility. Love this Planet fitness. One of the best facilities I've been to. There is no conflicting information if I need help. Staff is very professional.

Very money hungry business. Cancelled my membership (in person) way before my 1 yr renewal and both the Paul Cook (Reginal Manager) and the Elizabeth Sharum (leader at site) would not refund. Really frustrating staff. Also several times the staff would not make it in on time to open the doors (weekends) so would have to wait (sometimes more than 30 min throughout the year) - complained and no responses from the team. Would not go there again!
