Ibeen to every PF in the general area. Overall id definitely say this one and the smyrna are the top 2. Everytime I come to the powdersprings gym it smells fresh and always clean. The equipment is in absolute pristine condition. Tanning bed are amazing and spotless. The massage beds are always my last stop. I Highly Highly Highly recommend thus gym. You will not be let down..

NO RESTROOMS!!
Tried this location for the first time on Oct 1st. Went in the locker room and there’s a sign saying there is no water from 8am-10am. It was 1:45pm!!! Front desk tells me to go to a McDonalds. Are you serious?!!

People are sweating and HYDRATING and you have NO restrooms available?? How about have more respect for your PAYING CLIENTS and remain closed until there is running water. This is why you’re the bottom of the barrel gym!! DO BETTER!!!!

Jared at the front desk was professional and concise with dealing with my account issues I've had troubles in the past with other employees not wanting to be helpful or attentive with the issues we were experiencing but with Jared we were able to get to the bottom of it and get our account straightened out. Excellent customer service made me feel welcomed to our local gym and was very helpful thank you Jared

Powder Springs location in Austell!!! The staff is mature, professional and work. The previous location in Smyrna I was at front desk on phones ear buds in and are not trained appropriately. The trainer doesn't gossip about the members.
People are polite and ABIDE BY GYM RULES.

I love this facility and location. All staff are very friendly and helpful. One employee in particular is Chris. There was an issue by a member and the member was upset. Chris showed him the handbook with the rules/regulations because the member asked to see it because he didn’t believe Chris. The member was still upset but Chris kept his wonderful customer service the whole time. I commend Chris so much because he could have lost his composer but he didn’t.

Excellent environment and considerate staff. This is the best Planet Fitness--indeed the best gym--that I've ever had membership with. Everyone is above and beyond friendly and accomodating. The premises stays clean and it's just an inviting place to be. The machines all function well and if they break down they are promptly repaired. Would recommend this facility to anyone. So glad this was the Planet Fitness in my neighborhood.

Unfortunately after being a member of planet fitness since 2012 I went through a transition with jobs and work life balance. Hadn’t been to the gym since August. Went back today and they advised I needed to pay $75 for the months I never even step foot In their facility. I understand memberships but as a valued customer this is just bad business especially after all the time and other members I’ve brought into your establishment.

This is by far one of the cleanest and organized PF locations. The staff is always smiling or greeting you when you arrive. Someone is always cleaning. I have never seen the ladies locker room unclean. The gym is always clean, with most if not all of the equipment working. People are truly coming to work out and go home. The meditation Pod is so relaxing. Both the water massage beds and massage chairs feel SO GOOD.

I was not A fan of planet Fitness until a few months ago when my favorite gym closed down. Then I joined planet Fitness. I can tell that this location is absolutely the best that they have. It's really clean. The employees are constantly going around and making sure that the space is clean. I go to other gyms but none of them is as clean as this one.

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to one of the employees, Jana. I have been going to Plant Fitness for years and I even worked for Plant Fitness before covid hit. She has been FANTASTIC! I have had some knots in my back and have been using the massage chair(amazing) and it was slow so I asked if she could turn in on several times. Not only did she help out and turn it on over and over but after my 5th time asking her to turn it on again I brought up my back issue and she suggested the Hydro Massage and all the benefits.(wow does it have its benefits) These are definitely not like the hydro massages we had when I worked at a different location! She showed me how to run it and all the things I can do.

Now, when I signed up online there was a sign up deal that I could not pass up. Apparently I got confused and ended up getting signed up for another location by accident. I figured I would just suck it up. Meaning I can't do the classes and I can only come in 10 times a month per Planet Fitness policy. Not upset about it. It's their policy. It was my fault. I wasn't paying attention when I signed up.

Yes, I could have gone to my home club but that's 40 minutes away.

And yes we can change our home club after 90 days of being a member. Thing was I wasn't sure how long I had until I could do that. I asked her, just because... why not.

I expected a quick "yes you have x amount of days until you can do that" Which I would have been fine with. No no. She called the other club and not only did she let me know when I was leaving that she will be continue to work on this issue...she just called me and let me know everything was squared away and now Planet Fitness in Marietta is my home club.

I literally just sign up for my first group class before posting this.

All I can say is thank you Jana. Thank you and well done. To the GM. She needs a raise or a fast track to management...if she isn't already one.

Grateful for a new gym in the area. The location is convenient. However, the weight lifting area is super small and tight and lacking weight machines that are in other PF facilities or other gyms in general. Mirrors would be nice in the ab and stretching area. I am able to carve out sufficient space to incorporate a dumbbell workout but would love to look at my form. In general, this is a good basic gym especially of you like a good treadmill or cardio work out but lacking if you want to lift and weight train.

Gym looks good, but weightlifting area is a bit tight. I do wish gyms reduced the cardio machines a bit as they’re usually not full, and add more space for weights. But, I do like that they have a separate area for leg machines and an area for a timed workout. The hydro massages & massage chairs, tanning options, and bathrooms with changing rooms are really nice.

I really like this gym but Im noticing that it’s not being cleaned as it should. Meaning it could really use some vacuuming and mopping. Also, cleaning the spider webs out of the corners especially in the ab/stretching area.

This planet fitness is pretty good for the most part. This location needs more trainers though , the one we have is more dedicated to the older crowd . I had a meeting with her and we talked about getting a schedule and she never got back to me or reached out after that first day . Very unprofessional and not organized . Other that it’s a great .

One day it’s “no bags on the gym floor” (fair enough), so people start bringing fanny packs and similar sized bags that are easy to place up next to their person. The following day it’s “all bags must be in a locker” and next thing you know everyone has to put their personal belongings and other essentials (gloves, straps, knee support, etc) that they plan to use during their workout on the floor, which poses the same tripping hazard as gym bags on the floor. I won’t even complain, I’m currently watching to see how things go before I make a final decision to switch to another gym. As consumers we have the choice to just take our business elsewhere.

Based on their response, you should leave your chapstick, gloves, ankle straps, etc in a locker. If your padlock has a key, you should leave that in the locker too.

The weightlifting area is small, and the machines are so close to each other that they feel stacked on top of each other. The Smith machines are uncomfortably staggered. You tend to be shoulder to shoulder with other weightlifting guests even when it isn't busy. This location also has less weightlifting machines in general than most of the other average Planets I've been to. They also need more paper towel/spray stations. Plenty of cardio equipment, though. Everything is brand new.

The only good thing I can say is they have new machines. I recently faced an unfortunate incident at the Powder Springs Planet Fitness. A misunderstanding led to the cancellation of my membership, causing significant distress. After persistent efforts and a conversation with David, the manager, my membership was reinstated. However, the overall experience has left me uneasy about returning, impacting my comfort and enjoyment. I hope the management addresses communication gaps and ensures a more positive environment for all members.

The tanning beds are the best!! If this review was on the tanning beds.. it would be a 5⭐++, but it's not. When I signed up for PF, I was led to believe it was more 24hrs then what it really is. The door says 24/5 on it, but it's not even that! And sometimes on the weekends, they seem to close whenever they want to?! Kinda making me question... if I want to continue with PF. 😤🤔🤷‍♂️

This new facility is GREAT! It is really nice inside. New EVERYTHING! It is much bigger than I thought it would be and I like the location. If you live near the area, check it out. It is open 24/5 with modified weekend hours just like the other facilities. I'm a happy black card member.
