I come to Planet Fitness to focus on my workouts, not to be harassed or micromanaged by employees for the simplest things. The staff constantly interrupt members during their workouts instead of creating a welcoming and judgment-free environment like the company claims to promote. It’s uncomfortable and discouraging when you’re trying to better yourself and have to deal with unnecessary comments or nitpicking.

The Manager at this location is the absolute BEST, She's a future CEO of a major firm.

She's delightful, not afraid to get her hands dirty, stays on top of the employees while keeping a smile on her face to make sure Planet Fitness members are happy to be there for a Great Workout.

I'd like to also give a huge mention to Aliyah who is now serving as the gym manager for this location.

She's always working, Always cleaning, Always busy in making sure the look, atmosphere and general presentation is at AAA standards.

Both of the ladies are certainly future CEO's.

On October 6 2025 I was in the gym in the locker room charging my phone I was been harassing and discrimination about my sexuality I was in here minding my business using WiFi and out of nowhere the manger can and talk to me

The manger Aaliyah is very rude and doesn't speak to me when i come in but speaks to others. I've heard her making inappropriate/rude comments towards others. i've seen her pick out certain people for what they wear but not others who are wearing the same thing. I often hear her at the front and around the gym talking unprofessionally about her life and other people.
I have talked to other gym goers and they agree that the manger is a problem. She is very disrespectful and has no regards for place and time. Please find a new manager to make this a great experience.

Every time I come up here during the day, the same manager, black hair blonde highlights, harasses me over my shoes despite me telling her numerous times I have an injury. There will be plenty of other people in there wearing open toed slides, crocs, even barefoot but she always manages to only point me out specifically. There was a guy RIGHT NEXT TO ME on the ab machine in slides and nothing was said to him. No other manager says anything to me either and have even told me it’s okay as long as I’m not weightlifting. I’ve already provided my home gym with documentation, can y’all please leave me alone and let me work out in peace???😑

Apparently her name is Aaliyah. Could you please inform her of my previous documentation so she can stop seeking me out specifically every time I come in there. I refuse to carry around papers from gym to gym cause of managers like her.

Went into this business ! I am a diabetic patient. Told the lady at the front desk that I was diabetic and I needed to use the restroom ! She denied it to me.

I was thinking about getting a membership here but I will never ! I am an elderly person with a medical condition and they wouldn’t even let me use the bathroom. Diabetes know what I mean when it just happens all of a sudden

They hype it up to get you to come inside and join. Preying on people to get money and their sells up to get you to come work out. You can buy the same equipment starting off slow. When you get the membership they make it HARD for you to cancel but NOT hard to join. There is a hidden fee to pay them for the year of $50 bucks on top of what day you come in to join. All the numbers they have for customer isn’t even support. To cancel the membership you have to go to the club you signed up at an or write them a letter canceling it Thur the post office. It’s just weird .. don’t waste your time or put your money into something better like L.A fitness. Yes you spend a little more but better workout, you get what you pay for 🤦🏼‍♀️ and I signed up for blk card membership. Mind you the friend you bring has to come with you, they can’t use the free pass day link without you. Just terrible

I been to mostly 10 planet fitness around the metro atlanta area and I can say that the Riverdale location is the most spacious and cleanest I have attended. The staff is friendly and the environment is welcoming🙏. Highly recommend for the ones that never had the chance to visit the location.

I left my last gym (la fitness on old nat) because my car got broken into 3 times in one year . Riverdale location haven’t had that issue and I’ve been coming here for a little over a year. Let me tell you why this was one of thee WORST planet fitness’s I’ve been to. Never have I dealt with this amount of hostility from planet fitness employees. The ladies at the front desk were so rude and acted condescending as if me and my gym partners couldn’t comprehend simple planet fitness rules and app structures. After explaining MULTIPLE times what the app said about checking in and even having this girl call another employee to see if I was lying, I’m Appalled at the service and attitudes. So much so that I will no longer come during the morning hours just to start off my workouts without having to have their bad energy and terrible customer service. OTHERWISE the facility is nice and clean and big. It does fill pretty fast even during work/ business hours but a lot of good equipment here.

Planet Fitness has been a dream come true as far as my place to get in shape. The local is awesome, the people are fabulous and the cleanliness is superb and all of these attributes affects my wonderful experience at pf. This is not my home gym but l can say with the equipment upgrades it is much better than l remember. It is easier to xome in, get your workout done without having to wait forever for a smith machine to free up. 3/5/25--l have to update that they put in ten new Smith Machines but now 3 of them are broken. It has been that way for the last two weeks. Also l see employees at the front desk on their cellphones and they are not attentive to what is going on in the gym.The gym needs to be managed better.

I’ve recently joined PF after being a member at a few other gyms over the years. PF is by far my favorite. The Riverdale location is literally the cleanest gym I’ve ever been inside, the staff is so friendly and helpful, and I love the selection of machines. Really awesome! I am a black card member at La fitness and I was harassed by the manger Aliyah soon as I walked in the door … She told me shorts wasn’t allowed in the gym and next time put sweats over it … I said okay then went into the locker room I was confused because I always wore shorts to the same gym so I went to her and asked her do they have a sign in the gym with the dress code .. she told me no with a attitude.. 30 mins go by she walks up to me and tells me to leave her gym and my membership will be cancelled I was soo confused . I called police because I was clearly being harassed and discriminated she told police I was trespassing when I am a legit member and only been coming to this club … it was so unprofessional I never dealt with nothing like this in my life. I will be filing a law suit against this gym..

Apparently if you cancel your membership here, they still charge you. I cancelled my membership w/i 7 days (3 to be exact). They wanted me to pay $200 but reduced it to $85 just to start a new membership, even with proof I cancelled. The correct amount should be $0 dollars. These people are scammers, also your policy is "If you cancel before 7 days, there will be NO penalties".

1/12/25 2pm 3 attendants working and the dumbells are all a mess as usual, out of place and not tagged for placement by weight. 3 machines I often use are already tagged for repair.
One girl sitting on the only leg press machine for over a half hour playing on her phone. I asked her how many sets she had left and she responded, "3". Asked the manager for a massage chair and she said I'm on the phone. Waited a few minutes for another attendant to come back to the desk, and said "What a dump" and left not happy, stressed and needless to say, "not a good work out".

12/22/24 Previously; Wow just updated the gym and added tons of new weights, benches and machines. Only problem, now there are less leg machines than before the update.
Previously: The dumbell racks are mostly empty. I ask the attendant if he could go to retrieve them and he just walked away. Picture was taken after I got the 25lbs and told him where the others were at.

This location is ass. They apparently have a no bag on the floor policy that apparently only I went against when there was 4 other people that had bags in the floor. Because this is a “headquarters” location they uphold their policies with their condescending manager that looks you up and down the whole conversation. I love this Planet fitness. It very clean and helpful staff. They help at all time. Great place to excise and low prices, so join today. I lost 43 pounds working out at Planet fitness. When I started there my weight was 260 that was two years ago. With hard work. I'm now down to 217. With 56 more pounds to lose. I can do this and I am. God bless u all. Furthermore, 2 pounds a month is all I need to do and your body will obey. Lay off bad fats eat less sugars and drink water and get lots of sleep. Hello I have been a customer since 2013. This location on hwy 85... Use to get cool...but no longer. My biggest complaint is the staff attitudes... Young Adults with no customer service training, cold showers, with a hint of shortness after 10 mins of letting the water run! , they use to have a bottle hanging in shower where u could spray urself before u get in there...they don't even offer that any more...and equipment be broke...Learn to greet ur customers coming and going out the door... doesn't look good... half of them standing around the desk talking and joking... I miss the grown folks...***Update ...Owner responded to my post... Owner why do I need to address personnel... U address them..thats the reason for reviews. Get your people in order...I don't want to speak to nobody... They attitude might be just as bad!

I’m extremely disappointed with the service at the Riverdale Planet Fitness, particularly due to the woman working the morning shift. She is consistently rude, disrespectful, and unnecessarily argumentative with members. Instead of maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment, she seems to go out of her way to make interactions unpleasant.

Additionally, I’ve observed her allowing certain people to break club rules, such as letting them in without the proper credentials. This disregard for policy compromises the gym’s integrity and creates an unfair experience for those of us who follow the rules. I expect better standards from Planet Fitness, and this location has been a major letdown.

Gym is OKAY. A little small and very crowded. I normally visit many different Planet fitness locations because i travel around for work, so i workout take a shower and then get back dressed in work clothes. With saying that, this location has the WROST showers i have ever seen. The water doesn’t even get hot so was forced to take an ice cold shower

Staff tonight at 9:50 pm had the whole gym with no disinfectant in any of the bottles !!! I asked them about it they looked at me like I was crazy and had a disposition. So I literally started my membership today and heard great things about this location. I was referred here by a friend who brings her daughter with her occasionally. That being said I was excited to get back into my fitness journey today and happened to have my daughter with me(who is the same age as my friend’s daughter). Upon entering the two gentlemen at the front desk were cool in letting me know the gym age rules and stated that my daughter is more than welcome to sit at one of the silver tables at the front. We agreed and I proceeded to begin my workout. About 25 mins into my workout a crew member named Jess aggressively approached me and asked in a condescending tone “is that your kid?” I stated yes and she began to carry on about how it’s not allowed blah blah blah with unprofessional mannerisms that immediately made me uncomfortable. I stated that she should go speak with her colleagues about the issue as I have 5 mins left of my workout and she walked off mumbling. At this point I’m irritated and my workout is over so I walked over to the desk once the the gentleman who gave me the rules at the beginning returned and asked was there an issue still as Jess was still going on about it. He kindly apologized for the miscommunication and that’s all I needed. But as a customer service professional it’s not what you say but how you say it. That being said I highly suggest Jess gain better communication skills if she’s going to be the face of that location (it was explained to me that she’s a senior employee so basically she acts like the manager). Nonetheless, I don’t plan to return to this particular location.

The people that work out there like to gather up all the weights and put it around them and do 2 reps and walk away for 10 minutes. 1 area just for dumbells which they need more weights for a big place like that. A lot of the times some of the equipment is broke. Not properly maintained. I only go there because that is the only gym near me. Which is sad. And they don't have a T bar row. And the work out balls are under imflated

It seems like I am not giving this place a chance. They recently fixed some equipment and got new management. With that being said. I still do not not this place. Equipment is always broken. And since Dirty Red is the manager now. It's way more attitude. This not a gym. It is more like a joke. Do yourself a favor if you are reading this review. Just drive a couple more miles to a place called Fitness Connection. Better equipment and better attitudes. Plus they have a day care for the kids. A basketball court. It is way more hard core than planet no fitness

Hi, I was working out today at the planet fitness around 11:35 am at Riverdale and witness an altercation between a young lady and the manger at the time over a tripod being on the floor and how it was against the policy. The young lady agreed to put the tripod up after she was told to and said she only had 30 seconds left to record and that was it. The manager proceeded to respond by saying well , Im going to stand her till your done. The young lady pleaded that the actions of the manager was a form of harassment , which it definitely was. She then began to abuse her power and authority and stated that her account is canceled and she’ll receive a email about it with a horrible attitude and proceeded to call the police. things proceeded to escalate and she asked her to leave. As she was walking out, the manager disrespectfully said have a good day with a smirk on her face . The manager handled the situation very poorly. As a witness of this altercation, I would hate for anybody else , especially a loyal customers like her self , to experience this kind of behavior and treated with disrespect and unfairness. I would love to have the other manager back named roshan back. She was very professional and had consideration on how she treated and talked to other people. She made the environment feel safe and welcomed.

So today I was put out of this gym location twice and this is my home gym. I’ve never in my life have experienced the passive aggressiveness that I have today. I’ve never had an issue with resolving account problems as I have had in the past 2 months all over technicalities. The current manager and staff at this location needs better training on how to handle customer concerns and complaints. The old staff and management would never. They were sweet, kind, and caring. I myself work in management and have for the last 10 years.
What I experienced today was disappointing and disgusting to say the least. There is no need for “power trips” when it’s your guests who are fueling your business. You do what needs to be done to make sure customer satisfaction is the highest priority. I ended up going to Fayetteville to the billing issues and will be switching my home location.
