I am a 55 year old casual excersiser and planet fitness fits the bill. The facility is spacious and the staff is very friendly. The place is clean and in my 6 months there, I don't know if I have seen a broken machine or of one was broken it wasn't broken long. If there is one thing I'd like to improve is that they get rid of some of the cardio machines for more resistance stations

This place is really missing a lot of machines and accessories. I would definitely go to Planet Fitness at Peachtree Corners even if I'm 30 minutes away because they have more complete machines and accessories there. It's a shame.

This relatively new gym on Roswell Road in Atlanta Was was spectacularly clean! Every type of new machine was in place with multiple machines to use. The staff was friendly and helpful I enjoyed my visit even though this was not my home gym.

In short, an employee stole my hoodie. I had my membership for less than a week. On the 1st Sunday of me enrolling at this gym, i left my bag in a locked locker at the gym in the morning. I left with the expectation of coming back to workout again before they closed. Unfortunately, I didn't make it back in time. The next morning, i came to the gym to retrieve my things. I was then informed that my lock was cut & my bag was set aside. When i went through my bag, i realized that petty cash was missing, my towel was gone, & my hoodie was missing. When i asked about the missing towel & hoodie, one of the employees suggested that they may have been thrown away. Because it's early Monday morning, i knew that the trash hadn't been collected, so i, along with 1 of the employees, went to the dumpster to search for my missing hoodie & towel. Personally, what was most important to me was my hoodie. We found the towel, in the dumpster, but the hoodie was nowhere to be found. I was told to check back later when the employee that worked that night would be back at the gym. I came back & met the employee that cut the lock off of my locker. He claimed that there wasn't a hoodie in the locker. I know what i wore when i entered the gym. I put my hoodie in the locker. Management told me that they would pull the camera footage & advised me to check back later. When i checked back later, i was told that i would have to get a police officer to request the footage.

If an employee would steal a dirty hoodie, they will steal worse & definitely steal again. I understand that items shouldn't be left at the gym overnight, however that does not give staff permission to steal.

They have a sign in the gym identifying a "lunk" who grunts, drops weights, & judges... Over time disenfranchised people become what they despise. I have yet to see a gym before this one that pays derogatory names for people that workout. It appears that planet fitness doesn't post the definition of a thief, because their own employees would get offended & feel judged.

I'm a Planet Fitness member who was escorted out by the police @ 6335 Roswell Rd. in Sandy Springs GA because the attendants claimed that my banking account information is insufficient causing me to pay late fees. I was just charged and paid $30 on the 22nd for a late few they can't explain. I've been a member since June or July of last year and have been using the same information since that time without issue until January.

When I asked the attendant why would the system continue to debit my account if it's insufficient, he claimed there's a discrepancy in their system because they're a franchise location, which made no sense. He then denied my access to the building and called the police although he was shown proof that I was current. This alleged discrepancy has been going on all this year although I remain current on my account.

I had to suffer the indignity and embarrassment of being removed from the building although I had some nothing wrong. I asked the attendant for the email address to their regional manager or someone alive their supervisor who could resolve this issue, and he gave me his manager's info. I'm demanding that someone from corporate contact me and resolve this issue.

3.5 stars so close to a 4! Very clean and equipment is always working. Never too crowded and friendly staff. Plenty of cardio equipment as well. HOWEVER some negatives since they’ve been open for a while now
1) paper towel rolls always running out and the staff just be standing there on their phones. Def need to stay on top of refilling the cleaning stations because sometimes they’ll stay empty for an entire day.
2) please for the love of god enforce the gym rules. As I’m in here in between sets a guy behind me is on FaceTime speaker while people are waiting for his machine and then there’s an another guy slamming weights and grunting loudly. PF used to be great ab enforcing rules and the lunk alarm but not anymore. It i wanted to watch gym bros slam their stuff and grunt and not wipe down their equipment id go to crunch so plzzz management start enforcing the rules for the super over the top guys that everyone can hear slam stuff so loudly and over the top. I get they can be short staffed but at the bare minimum when the same dude is in here multiple times a week grunting as if he’s in labor, the least we can do is tell him to not slam his dumbbells so loudly on the floor we can hear through headphones. Love yall though 💗

The service was horrible. The girl in the drive through was too worried about talking to her co-workers instead of making sure. My order was right. I got to the window and she had my drink wrong. I'll so she didn't put the sauces on the ticket that I asked for and my drink was wrong. And I also got a grilled Chicken Sandwich with just lettuce. No tomatoes

I was speaking to management at front desk.. she rudely ignored me and helped another guest.

I left & called to see if I can still get a name and number.. I was on hold for 10mins.. I called back no responses.

Zero stars if I could. Shady business. They will charge you until the end of time without you knowing. Then when you notice they will refuse to do anything about it or credit you one cent. Gym is dirty and terrible. Don’t do business with this awful company. Their business model is to get people paying for a gym they don’t use and charge them until the end of time without one single notice. Don’t fall for it. Join a real gym. The customer service at this Planet Fitness location has been the worst I’ve experienced at any of their gyms. I’ve visited multiple times and have always encountered friendly and welcoming staff, except for Ellis. His constant negative attitude towards women and repeated refusal to do his job is not in line with the values and standards of the Planet Fitness brand. Hopefully, something will change, or management will step in to address this issue.

Had a disappointing experience at the Sandy Springs club. As a Black card member, other locations are much better at friendly service & accommodating members. This club's staff is just lethargic & weak in even the basic professional demeanor. Maybe the manager here can't find good staff, but other locations rock it!
My situation was I left my eye goggles in my other car & they refused to give me the disposable eye patches(which costs $1.00). Other PF clubs give the disposable ones for free, when members have forgotten their goggles. Poor Sandy Springs club had a bad attitude towards me & so I asked the attendant to phone her manager. She politely did phone him & apparently he or she is the root of such poor member service. He backed her & apparently told her to tell me to go to another location because his club charges $1.00, no exceptions. Wow, good luck with this team! Hope your experience is better than mine. Avoid Tanner & the manager.

As a gym manager myself all the staff do is sit in their phones at the front when you walk in and when ya leave.

Mirrors are so nasty look like they haven’t been clean in months. Literally have seen the same deer / splash marks for at least a couple months now….. Women’s restroom constantly out of TP.

Besides that typical planet fitness. You get what ya pay for. Everyone keeps to themselves which is nice.

The gym is big and nice. Staff is cool. The issue is they don't enough tricep ropes and they never have shoulder pads. How do you have only one shoulder pad and 4 bench press machines. Step your equipment game up.

Very clean gym with variety of cardio, machines and some dumbells. Different rooms for focus on different body parts as well as express workout. If you don't need classes, sauna or a pool this is great option. Plus members get access to massage chairs, hydro massage beds and tanning for $24 per month. Great deal compared to LA Fitness.

** I received your response. I do not want any planet fitness minding my personal business or mis speaking to me when I pay to come into a gym and I do not care who owns it or single me out. I also would like to know from corporate who deleted my photo and profile. It is disrespectful and it needs to be addressed. My time in the gym as I discussed with one District Manager is no one's business but mine and they need to tighten up on what's appropriate. Honestly where I have been welcomed the most are probably the gyms in Atlanta you wouldn't go to.

Rude. In my opinion some act racist. Disrespectful considering your gym fees pay their salary. I have never been in one planet fitness that turned the lights off on guests. My profile and picture were deleted and it was this location that wanted me to make their life easier. Corporate opened a case. I think they need rethink their employees behavior and personal messages if they don't want a lawsuit. Cartersville's management is terrible. They are a homeless haven and in my opinion a lot of ignorance in the community. I went to this location one time to sign up and never returned because I could not stand how ignorant these damn people are. I have not felt comfortable in some of these gyms.

This franchise owner is awful. Been a black card member over a year and have been to many PF locations across The USA and this is the worst ever. I am treated like a red headed step child here because this is not my home gym. In The Atlanta area for work this Summer and I have to sign with pen and paper like I am a guest when I am a paying black card customer. I also scan the app digitally and they get my info that way which should and is more than sufficient at every other location I have been to! Get with the program Planet Fitness Sandy Springs/Roswell Road Atlanta location! Stop ruining my customer experience

Updated about 1.5 years into my membership: this place has gone downhill fast. The paper towels and cleaning stuff is always empty so you wander around the gym looking for stuff, it’s never refilled i swear. The new staff is nice but too nice, 0 rules are followed here. Slamming weights, people just coming in massive groups of high schoolers on their phones socializing around machines, weights all over across the gym, and more body builder types acting as such (they used to be really good about keeping it a place you could actually workout without getting really annoyed or being unable to ever find 10 lbs weights lol. Like the slamming of the weights is actually insane (including machines). Tonight this guy literally slammed the leg extension machine for the 15 mins straight and left without cleaning the machine so that’s how it is now. It’s really gone downhill and it’s disappointing because it just feels like it’s not the same nor worth the black card member ship. I’ll either look for a new place or take my card down to the $10 one. They still get 4 stars for being clean and the equipment never being broken!

I have been a member of Planet Fitness since 2016. I normally don’t workout at the Sandy Springs location, but I want to express dissatisfaction. I have a small backpack were I carry my necessities. I don’t trust lockers because of possible break ins. An employee stop me during my workout and stated I could not have my small backpack with me as I used the treadmill. It is near me and not interfering with any other equipment or people. She told me I would not be able to use the machine unless I put my backpack in a locker. I stated I would just leave the premises. This was just so ridiculous and unacceptable. This location should be more tolerant to people wanting to have their items near them for personal reasons.

This planet fitness location is literally one of the best I would say on this side of town and by that I mean on the west side of Atlanta. The only reason why I didn’t give it five stars is because sometimes the staff can be a little pushy. I do think they should try to catch people at the end of their workouts versus as soon as they come in however, that is personal preference. I would also say that the overall traffic of the gym is not too hectic. A lot of people come in there and get their workout done and they’re not so in your face. No real downsides they do keep it pretty clean, and if you decide to come in the afternoon, it’s not too crazy then either. Which is so refreshing all the other locations are super crowded

Normally I do not do this, but I see that other people have echo'd the same experience that I received. Please, even if you choose to not read this entire message take your business elsewhere as I have learned firsthand that this might be one of the worst PF's in Atlanta (which is saying A LOT). As a black card member, I loved this location; the staff was always friendly, and the facility and environment were clean. Apparently one of my payments did not go through which I was unaware of but the way that I was talked to was ridiculous and a way that I had never seen from Planet Fitness or this location. The manager, Sed who I had not seen before at that time was rude and could not give one straight answer. And before you think that I was being rude or acting out of character which prompted this series of events to occur I PROMISE you it was nothing like that at all. On Tuesday I checked in and was immediately told that I needed to leave because my payment was late. I, and another gym member who overheard, were confused as that's never happened to either of us before, normally you get charged a late fee which I tried to explain to her and I even showed her I'm still active despite being late and intended to pay it when I could as I've done in the past. I even attended the gym the day prior and had no issue. Sed said it was in the agreement I signed that I couldn't be on premise if my payment is late but it also says that as an **active** Black Card member I am entitled to all of the black card benefits especially if my annual fee was paid which it was. After trying to reason with her calmly 3 times, I finally left and the following day I was able to pay my balance and did. Sed was there again (I thought it was just a one-time thing since I had never seen her before; it wasn't) I checked in successfully and 5 minutes later she comes to me while I'm stretching and says to show her the confirmation or else she'd call police. I was so annoyed by her that I just said okay because I knew I'd done nothing wrong and already told her I had paid. The police came, I told them the full story and showed them everything and they told her there was no probable cause for me to be removed. I wasn't rude to Sed at any point in time just to be extremely clear the only thing remotely rude I asked was if she could show me where in the policy it's written and the police were there to witness this. I understand people just doing their job but for her to be so rude (she even began pointing at me with her pen and shaking her neck and voice) over a simple question of me asking where it states that I can't work out for being late is insane. For her to call the police who also agreed and tried to tell her I was doing nothing wrong was crazy. Even the police did not understand and told me to take legal action! THE POLICE!! I don't know if the change here is because of new management like the other reviewers before me have stated, but they are so freaking rude and clearly don't understand customer service or how to handle/de-escalate situations. This could have been a terrible situation had I been a hot head like a lot of people in Atlanta are. And the kicker: this gym canceled my 3-year PF membership AND MY HOME GYM DIDN'T EVEN KNOW!!!! I called PFHQ throughout the entire encounter and they agreed that this was blown way out of proportion and have launched an investigation because I should not have been banned when I showed proof that I paid and asked a simple question very calmly without cursing or saying anything mean like c'mon? Especially when you can just answer it! Please, I promise no PF I've been to (and I've been to a lot in different states and all over Georgia) is like this and if you want to have a good experience, I BEG YOU to go somewhere else. This is by far the worst and most unprofessional PF I've ever been to. And I pray that PFHQ sees this and steps in and gets this location new management and owners despite it being privately owned so that it can return to its former glory of being the 5-star establishment it once was.

I accidentally got a membership at the Sandy Springs, GA location because of an issue with my phone’s location tracking. I live in Kentucky, so I called the gym in GA to try to fix it and spoke to a man named Wayne. He was incredibly helpful and got my membership transferred to my home gym without any issues. I was a member for over a year and the condition of this location and attitude of the staff has worsened as time went on. The gym is usually not very clean, rude staff, staff enforces policies on a whim, staff vapes in the locker rooms, and the bathrooms are disgusting. When you try to speak to management about issues you are talked down to and gaslit about your concerns. Of course all of this is dependent upon if the staff if actually present or willing to look up from their phones. By far the worst PF I have ever been to. If I could give a 0/5 stars I would. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

3 stars cause staff was nice about it but I’m aggravated at the company. I travel a lot and am busy on the road so I appreciate being able to pop in for exercise and a shower on occasion. After no previous issues or notification, I tried to do so today but they were unable to find me in the system without me calling my home gym to get my barcode number and download and set up the app. After doing all that, I wasn’t allowed in due to a $185+ owed balance for missed payments and fees, despite that I have been continuously billed and have been able to use facilities recently with no problem. Idk what the problem is, why franchises can’t access corporate location information, etc. I have only ever needed to give my phone number and be on my way. Anyway, not thrilled. I’m not sure why I never received any emails, calls, bills, etc with a balance like that.

I’ve been a member for a long time, but the new management at this location is rude. They may be implementing their policies which they’ve neglected until they got new management, but the manner in which they are implementing them will make them lose customers. The manager spoke so rudely to me today. Apparently you can’t visit another location that is not your home location more than 10 times before they charge you. Then what’s the point of having the black card? But if that’s the case, there is a kind way to relay this information. The manager who spoke to me was such a turn off and planet fitness has lost a long term customer due her rude behavior. Hope they can address this rudeness in their new management meetings.

Facility is clean, tidy, well-kept. Front desk staff is nice, friendly. All machines seemed to be in working order. It looked like my fellow gym patrons were diligent about wiping down machines when they were done using them, so that's reassuring ( although you may want to give the machines a wipe down before and after use just for your own peace of mind, of course. ). Really I'm only deducting a star for the limited weekend hours and the lack of more weight machine options. This isn't just pertaining to this particular location, though, this is true of all PF locations I've visited. Still, all in all, considering how much the monthly membership cost is, it's a great value, especially for someone who would like to focus on aerobic training or cardio, or anyone who is just starting to get into working out or getting back into working out. Black card membership allows access to all PF gyms and comes with some cute perks if you're interested.

Shout out to Wayne! When I entered the club, Wayne said, "Great to see you again!" That made me smile on the inside because, little did Wayne know, this was my first time visiting the club...but that's not even the point. I work in Customer Experience and Brand Consistency. I appreciated that even though it was my first time there, Wayne made me feel like he was waiting for me to show up. I went on to workout. Great experience. No wait for machines. Equipment was clean and in excellent working order. Cleaning stations orderly and fully stocked. Restroom, clean and smelling like it gets cleaned regularly.

Halfway into my routine, I see Wayne walking by doing a sweep of the club areas; making sure that things were orderly. It is always a good sign when staff members are visible, walking around periodically to show that they are 'present' and working. In this day and age, you see so many people occupying 'down time' on their phones. I come into some other businesses, and you feel like you've interrupted the employee by showing up. They are engrossed in their mobile devices or personal conversation, they may halfway look up to make sure that you're not a security threat, but there is no actual greeting of the customer. The first face that I am met by coming into a business (like reception/front desk) gets the harshest critique from me because they set the tone for the customer experience.

On my way out, same level of service from Wayne. I asked his name knowing that I was leaving a review but he also asked mine and said something like, "Come back and see us soon." He didn't have to ask my name or welcome me to come back, but he did. It's those little touches that separate mediocrity from excellence. They don't take much effort but make a huge difference in the customer experience. Wayne, thanks for showing up and making the effort! PF, thanks for a great hire that made a great impression. I've found my new PF club to wait out ATL rush hour.

This place was great, super clean, not many machines out of service and the staff were friendly. I went in a buddy pass with my sister and it was so simple.

While working out I only encountered one issue, someone like reserving a machine with their phone/water bottle while they did a whole other exercise. A little annoying, but otherwise, a very good experience.

This review is because I’ve been to several locations…it is quite messy and they let a homeless lady live in the locker room. I’m not comfortable with that and it’s against company policies. I’ve been trying to contact corporate or the owner. While it is new…They don’t treat it that way. Homeless lady in locker room like she is in her living room is not acceptable and not safe for your paying members. She needs to go to a homeless shelter not planet fitness.

I am dumbfounded at how many positive reviews this location has raked in. Management must be bribing people to lie in reviews, because this ain’t it. I have been going here regularly since the opening, and never in my life have I seen such a lack of professionalism from employees, and even MANAGEMENT. This is supposed to be a healthy and welcoming environment for gym members. I have called on multiple occasions to kindly suggest that Kadeejah be reprimanded for her unwarranted behavior, (gossiping about members to her coworkers and even clients) and was assured by Austin that she would be spoken to. If that conversation did take place, you would never know it. Austin has still allowed this behavior to continue, and is now even engaging in it. I am sick of seeing customers come in here to better themselves just to be judged by its employees. Unfortunately, since I can see my complaints to the location itself have not been taken seriously in the least, I will be taking my case to corporate. You may read this and think nothing will come of it, but I can promise you that is not the case. Take customer complaints seriously, or suffer the consequences. This is not how a business should be run.

Update 3/23/23: now that it’s been open a couple months I can upgrade the stars. I enjoy it. Fairly clean. The employees are welcoming. When I go there aren’t many people which is a plus. I do wish there were more smith machines in place of treadmills and that some of the rooms weren’t so far from the weight racks.

Signed up for this membership months ago. First opening date was 9/13 or something that sort. Then went to 9/24. Then two dates in October and they’re STILL not open. Now there isn’t even a date listed on Google for when they’ll be open. Definitely halted my workout plans and may need to rethink and go with a different gym atp

I've been frequenting this gym since their opening, and I have enjoyed going there. The staff is great, the energy overall is amazing. Have to shout out Kadejah (trainer), she is amazing at what she does. She always go above and beyond to make sure we get a proper (and fun, full of laughter, and banter) workout. Also, she's very open with information that she knows will benefit you now and in the future. That's a big plus in my book. I am entirely grateful.

I've signed up with the club over a month ago. It was suppose to open on the Sept 24th. Didn't happen. Then the Oct 4..didn't happen. Now the 14th and it's still not open. Holcomb bridge is a little further out than I'd like to drive. I literally 3mins from this club and i even cancelled my previous gym membership at La Fitness to join this club.
