I come here at 7 AM right when they open on the weekend and still there are missing weights, weights strewn around and not put up, so the staff didn't bother to pick up the gym and replace weights before opening. Machines are broken for weeks. Staff just standing behind the front desk staring at their phone. Literally the only thing this gym has going for it is the location. Once another gym nearby opens I'm leaving.

Moisture issue in the black card amenities area. It’s unhealthy to breathe musty and potentially mold-spore-laden air. Dehumidifiers need to be installed asap. 24 hour access needs to be added 7 days per week. Some of the machines I use have had a been broken sign on them for weeks. Do better.

Horrible experience!!! There’s apparently a new African manager there who kicked me out because he accused me of slamming weights !!! It was so quiet in there that u can hear someone thoughts but because i made noise he threatened to escort me out ! Can’t believe someone isn’t there to control their employees ! This guy is ruining a lot of experiences for people at the gym ! It’s a gym not a meditation yoga class there’s going to be noise sorry !

I like that, for the most part, the machines/equipment that I want to use is available. Even in the instances when they are not, the wait usually isn't very long. I don't have to interact with the staff much, now that I have been a member for a while. However, they are all cordial when I do speak. Plus I am greeted each time I enter and every time I leave. The place has good vibes.

Really nice place to work out but it's packed with young kids, now they're letting them come in for free during the summer and you have to wait for machines while they sit and play on their phones. Some don't even use the machines they just sit there the whole time. What about the rest of us that come to actually work out and have to pay. We now have to wait and deal with the hassle of even getting a machine we like to use. It's bad enough during the regular season but now I can't stand it. Kids do not belong in a gym and make it a hang out spot. Maybe one day a week but for months, it's going to drive a lot of people that actually pay out of there.

Planet Fitness does an outstanding job of keeping our gym clean and attractive. The staff is always friendly and very helpful if needed. The amenities offered by the Black Card membership are totally worth the extra cost; the hydro bed massage is an invaluable aid to this 81 year-old lady's serious back discomfort. Also, I have fun incorporating my medially prescribed PT into my PF workouts. My only complaint is caused by the clients who insist on using their cell phones for texting and/or conversations and occupying equipment far too long while those of us who follow the guidance on this lack of courtesy are waiting for a chance to use that particular machine.

I recommend this gym. It's a large facility with plenty of machines and several different areas to work out. The gym is clean and well-maintained. I suggest they add a second pec fly machine since they only have one, and it is used constantly even during low peak periods. That's a minor comment though.

If you like to work out until closing, this may not be the gym for you. The lights go off at 6:30. When the gym closes at 7pm. It's always something each night here on the weekends... It's already bad enough that PF closes at 7pm on the weekends.

I will never go back. What is the point of going in to sign the FREEZE document with the intention to not be charged since you will not be going in. Only to end up getting charged. They need to better train their staff. May I add since I did cancel my membership now, I did not get offered a refund only a waiving of the start of fees, change of annual fee date, and 3 months credit. If I'm not able to go in, what solution is that. I needed my money back. It was for my blk card and my daughters. $105 down the drain. Could of saved my time and gas if I knew going in to sign the document was pointless.

Horrible location to visit. Paper towels are always out, trash cans are all full, and even mold at the top of the ceilings especially in the hydrogen massage room. Staff always rude and on their phone. When I was there they had fights that management cared nothing about. The coolers are never stocked and employee sit on counter the entire shift. I would recommend no one go to this location. Again it's not planet fitness because I've been to other locations it's THIS ONE.

I'm giving it a two because Zion was great! Or i would give it 1 for customer service. The last time I gave a 6/10 and my membership was canceled without notification AFTER they took my payment. Prior to that Brian emailed me asking how they can improve my experience. When i went into the S. Cobb location he claimed to have canceled due to an old balance from 2021. Keep in mind that from 12/2023-1/2025 I've been paying on time and not even attending ANY PF's
So despite what's being said had I not left a less than 10 review my membership wouldn't have been reviewed or canceled. But I'll call the finance team one again to clear up the issue oh and you better go early because anytime after 4p there won't be any open equipment

This year has been transformative for Smyrna PF with many improvements with a refresh of the interiors including the wet area, and most importantly an expansion of machines and fitness equipment. This is a busy location and having mulitples of the popular machines, benches and free weights as well as cardio is a big improvement. For me, bringing in current generation rowing machines was a big deal and Brian has been on top of staff and cleanliness. Keep up the good work!

Great location. The largest PF I’ve ever seen! Recently remodeled. This is an amazing gym. State of the art equipment. 12/2024 Frustrated today usually have a good experience yet today in the 30 minute section 2 members after I kindly informed them of the rules after they both were doing sets got rude with me as my gym partner were being held up by them not switching.
It was then I reciprocated their rudeness and low and behold they became victims of their own energy.
I got the staff member at the front desk who handled it accordingly.
People need to follow gym rules as well as be courteous when other members kindly show them the signs stating switch instead of refusing to rotate and then thinking they are entitled or above rules.
Too if you can't handle the negative toxic energy you put out don't dish it out and try to manipulate the narrative and lie as the young teen did.
Happened again people super setting refusing to share equipment.
I had already started attending another gym when one of my work out partners requested I go there for them so she can work out with me.
Same lack of gym etiquette with nonsense and the staff was already shook from me calling out the lackluster "personal trainer", my grief showing up from losing my Mother and aggressively returning people's attitudes when I kindly asked them to respect the 30 minute area rules and one member to share a bench.
My spirit is already at peace at my gym where I can burn off my grief with gym members that KNOW etiquette, respect the rules and my trainers are men that I respect that have a passion for their craft and do not gossip about other members like a female while we're training.
Why do I know others members personal business? I am here to workout.
No loss grief induced aggression or not.
After reading the reviews with lack of gym etiquette the staff needs to be more present on the floor.
I will say this in defense of Brian he's ALWAYS been professional with me.
Kendra has not ever shown any signs of incompetency.
Both were still very professional when I over-reacted out of grief this holiday season not coping well dealing with the death of my Mom and missing her.

The customer service at this location is awful. They do not answer the phone when called, you can be in the hydromassage bed looking through the window and watch them while trying to call the desk. They would look at the phone and not try to attempt to answer.
There's a big heavy-set guy who sits on the counter and talks/tries to talk to every girl that walks in and out of the gym. They are lazy and unprofessional and it's sad to say but it's true.

The staff is great and the gym! Everyone very nice but PLEASE watch out and park your car up front and don’t leave anything valuable or purse in your car in keep it in your trunk!!! This location is very common for car break ins my sister and I go to the same gym and both of our cars got broken into, and stole our purse and wallets. For her report nothing was done, my stuff just got stolen yesterday and waiting to see if they can soon get these people or person that has been doing this for a long time at this location. This is only to spread awareness because I really hope this doesn’t happen again! And Planet fitness we need more outside cameras

I'm a senior citizen and I joined Planet fitness about 4 months ago. They have so many locations around Cobb County that I keep my gym bag in the car and visit the nearest facility in the path of my errands. I use the weight-lifting machines and reward myself with the Black Card relaxation benefits. My favorite is the massage chair. It's worth the extra monthly fee! Each location is spacious, well ventilated, clean with friendly employees that have a welcoming demeanor.

I have just returned back to Planet Fitness after taking some gym time off for other matters. I started at the Cedar Town PF and just went to the Smyrna PF a few days ago. Smyrna was my regular location for gym time out of other PFs in the area. On this trip I was pleasantly surprised. The facility has been updated with all new equipment with 95% of it all operational, super clean, rearranged with more machines available. Staff was helpful and I would recommend it to anyone in that area that is wanting a great gym experience. I will be back and get into the daily routine.

I'd love to give 5 stars because I love the gym. But..... 60% of the people here think it's a social club. No need for 1 person to hold up the leg press for a solid hour doing a set every 10 mins then texting and talking on the phone. Sooner or later someone's going to go off on one of these idiots. I was happy to see that they were replacing the old equipment, but now they have 9 or 10 stair masters and 7 of them are out service. This is a very busy gym so they need to send the repair man immediately to keep all the equipment working. And the men’s restroom always smells like a bunch of camels just finished a marathon through the Sahara desert. Definitely needs more attention

I am still trying to get planet fitness to show one of the news channels in the area where I use the bicycles. Other news channels are shown on both ends.
