Love this location, but when is it going to reopen? Where can we find information on when it will reopen? It's so close to my house and now I am going out of my way to go to Ellenwood's gym which is always packed now. The Smith Machines are never free! On the sign I remember them stating it would be open before Dec 1st. What's going on? We need answers people!

Edit: it's December 1st and it's still closed. Next time you do renovations don't even put up a sign with an estimated time for reopening because it obviously isn't opening on time, being close for nearly 2 months is wild when the og opening date was end of October 😭✋🏻

This location has been closed since Oct. 13th. Their sign said it'd be reopen by the end of October (it's mid November), there have been no updates on their site or on Google about when it'll reopen (Google actually says it's currently open but it isn't). It sucks having to go so far out of the way to go to a different PF gym. I know construction/remodeling can take a while, but at least update an approximate time for when it'll be done. I imagine some people don't have the PF Black Card and can't go to other locations

I’ve been a member of Planet Fitness for some time now and have always appreciated the affordability, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere. However, one area where the gym is starting to fall short is the condition and quality of its equipment.
Many of the machines are outdated or show visible signs of wear and tear—squeaky treadmills, worn-out cables on resistance machines, and cardio equipment that occasionally glitches or shuts off mid-workout. While the staff does a good job maintaining what’s available, there comes a point where maintenance just isn’t enough.
Upgrading the equipment would not only enhance the overall workout experience but also align with the brand’s goal of providing a “Judgement Free Zone” for all fitness levels. Newer machines often come with better safety features, improved ergonomics, and modern tracking capabilities that members increasingly expect from any gym.
Planet Fitness has built a strong community by being accessible and supportive. Investing in better, more reliable equipment would be a great step forward in keeping members motivated and ensuring the gym remains competitive with others that are raising the bar on technology and quality.

Equipment is very outdated at this point it’s not tall guy friendly especially when it come to the treadmills and using the heart rate monitor on them machines have been out of order for weeks with no repairs please make corrections or I will be forced to change my location to another gym

Gym recently swapped the cable machines for used “new” ones. These machines look dated and poorly maintained. The gym doesn’t offer the 5 pound weights one can use go in between plates. When asking the front desk, I was told to use the circular ones designed for the smith machine. Unacceptable. If you’re going to swap machines, at least swap it with all of its gear.

Been a member almost 2years here and kinda got treated like oh well get out my face from the desk girl Kenny, as a business owner I stop at the gym between jobs 5-6days of week….because I am on call a lot part of the business, So today I was between jobs and phone was dead I asked her is there anywhere in the facility to charge up. Before I even got the full sentence out she said “na” and went to help another person which was a different race but we won’t get into to that. Needless to say I didn’t enjoy my workout …missed 2 emergency jobs and could have charged up in the locker room or in the spa area since I’m a black card member I want to switch home gyms. Or Gyms person cause LA Fitness would never.

This visit today was filled with disappointment. After restarting for the year. I dont know if they changed management over the last 4/5 months, or they just wasn't there today. But customer service TODAY was 4 thumbs down. I came upon a new piece of equipment and asked for advice on using it. I was greeted like i was interrupting their Phone scrolling and text messaging. Then, when she did decide to help. Either she didn't know herself or possibly new, with no training on it. Hopefully, the rest of the year will be successful ! I went to this location in January 2024 for a walk through to see if I wanted to join. I had previously been a member in Jonesboro and had a problem with their staff accepting the termination of my membership in 2019. I proved that the Jonesboro location erroneously failed to accept my termination as a walk in. In 2024, the Stockbridge location was still using the Jonesboro termination of membership to deny me a walk through or tell me whether I could join their new location. Although the employee I spoke with was a Black female, I still believe the refusal was because of my race. She told me that I would receive a call back from management which I have not received to this date. So much for their "Judgment free zone." I would like to know if anyone has had a similar experience with any Planet Fitness.

P.S. Why would I need to contact the regional manager when your employee stated the regional manager would contact me. PF has kept my information in their system since 2019 because they knew of their retaliatory attempt to terminate me when I visited in 2024.

I recently visited this location while in the area. Loved the experience!! The assistant manager Christopher needs an award for how knowledgeable and approachable he is. When it comes to customer service, Chris truly understands the assignment. He recommended several very useful offerings like personal training and classes as well as planet fitness in-app perks. Sensing my fear of the unknown, Chris also went above and beyond in demonstrating how to use the new beauty angel/total body enhancement machine and cryo lounger. I had so many questions, and because of his patience, I felt free to ask. I really understand so much better the benefits of my membership now.
