As a professional whose work requires extensive travel across the United States, I selected Planet Fitness specifically for the convenience and flexibility afforded by the Black Card membership. I have been a loyal Black Card member for over eight years, during which I have greatly appreciated the consistent access and amenities offered across various locations nationwide.

One of my primary expectations as both a paying member and a business professional is the ability to complete efficient, uninterrupted workouts, especially when operating under tight schedules. Unfortunately, during a recent visit to the Valdosta, GA location, my workout was unnecessarily disrupted by an individual identified as Alfonso, who represented himself as the General Manager. He approached me with the assertion that I was violating a policy, yet when I respectfully requested clarification or documentation of the specific policy in question, he was unable to provide it. In response, I referred him to the clearly stated membership guidelines, which confirmed that I was well within the parameters of acceptable member conduct.

As someone who works in management myself, I hold customer service and respectful communication in high regard. Regrettably, at no point did Alfonso offer an apology. As the GM he should be well versed in all policies. This experience was disappointing and not in keeping with the level of professionalism I’ve come to expect from Planet Fitness over nearly a decade of membership.

I hope this matter is taken seriously, not only in the interest of retaining long-term members, but also in preserving the welcoming and judgment-free environment that Planet Fitness promotes.

The worst that could happen is that I'd stay there for a while exercising. Then we wanted to use the massage machine. I asked if my wife could use it. They arrived and I told her I'd give her the coins, and the brunette threw the coins in my hand in front of the manager. Then he saw that my wife was going to use them and went to unplug the machine. The manager told us to leave or they'd call the police.

I had a membership when I became immobile via a new disability from a spine condition. Planet Fitness would NOT let me cancel my membership unless I came to the gym. I was immobile!!! It took me over a year to finally get them to stop charging me. I was out of work and it caused me to overdraft several times costing me hundreds of dollars I didn't have. They would not issue a refund even after I sent in proof from my doctor that I was disabled. This happened at a MEMPHIS branch, not in Valdosta. It was utterly ridiculous. Even though I am mobile now, I will never go back to a Planet Fitness. Their policies should be illegal. Buyer beware.

Friendly staff, very clean and conveniently located.. A variety of equipment for various workout routines. Easy check in with the app. Large space and a nice lobby area for resting or relaxing. I have been going to gyms since the 1980’s and I really like the atmosphere. I also think the price is reasonable for the membership options and if your a senior with a Medicare plan that offers the Silver Sneakers program, you can join the for free under the basic membership. They also offer a membership with 24 hour access and perks like personal training and other benefits.such as tanning for a monthly fee. I highly encourage you to get active and start a workout routine that can help you improve your health and quality of life.

My family was greatly affected by the storm during a hurricane resulting in the loss our vehicle flooding therefore, we have no way to travel nor any relatives or family members near by to assist us.
So, of course with the loss of our vehicle we have no way to get to Planet Fitness yet, they won't cancel a membership that is NO LONGER BEING USED. You must go in person or write a letter for cancellation. Like they pay somebody bills or going provide help with hurricane...

My Name is Ron, It is very unprofessional to throw massage coins in the hands of customers. I came here and the newest young girl in an attempt not to touch my hands she threw the coins and a few of them fell on the counter. I informed her that was unprofessional and if she didn't care to touch someone's hands to just put the bucket out and I would retrieve them myself. This is not the first time this happened. I returned to the gym a few nights later only to encounter Tracy. I mentioned the situation to Tracy, expecting her to talk to the other employee,only to have Traci attempt to accuse me of throwing the coins at her co- worker with such a vitrol attitude which was very off putting since she seemed so nice. I then proceeded to explain to her about her attitude and that it was far from customer service. More training is needed. Employee's should not be disrespected, but to blatantly lie to cover a wrong is unprofessional. I never would have posted this review but Tracy's attitude was down right ugly. I am a Black Card Member

I would like to express my deepest concern for the hospitality and customer service from “Tracey” I’m not sure if it is her name but she was completely and blatantly rude. I’m currently visiting family for emergency leave.. I’m in the United States Army. Because we were “loud” she came over to tell us that we were so loud that she could not read her book or hear her music. After apologizing she antagonized us for attempting to address the issue and policy in regards to the inconvenience of the employee rather than the customer. She was very rude and unprofessional. Interrupted me multiple times and asked me what was the point of me re addressing her after our work out was finished. I’m displeased with her behavior representing the brand of Planet fitness. As I left I told her to have a blessed day and she said she would call the police !

Great gym! Only complaint is I hope eventually the staff will stop the socializing on the equipment. I had to wait almost 20 extra minutes today to finish my workout due to people socializing on the rear delt/chest fly machines. Been an active member at planet fitness for years. After visiting a gym I go numerous times both Ariel and Katie refused me entrance cause my photo wasn't up to date. My fiancé signed up for the black card on Friday, October 13th, with the intention of taking our 13 yr son with him to work out. Our son has been being made fun of in school for being small. Tonight when my fiancé got off work, my son was eager to go, so they went. When they arrived, a girl named Tracey was working. She refused to let my son in, unless he had his birth certificate. We were never told this when signing up, and he worked out on the 13th! I understand needing it, and had we been told prior we would have brought it. My issue is in the way Tracey handled this situation, absolutely disgusting! She refused to let them in, then immediately started talking VERY disrespectfully to my fiancé. Stating that they were not a daycare service, (my fiancé was there to work out with our son, NOT drop him off… hence the black card for a guest). My fiancé told her that, and she replied “are you trying to argue with me?” As a response to him stating that! Then she proceeded to say if they didn’t leave the premises, she was going to call the cops! My fiancé called to tell me what happened, so I then called to try to talk to her, and explain that we were never asked that the last time he went. And to try to figure out what we would need for my son to go. Before I could even finish asking, she cut me off rudely, and in a demeaning way, she said she knew what I was calling about, she was not letting my son in, and then hung up on me, before I could respond! I tried calling back so I could actually speak to someone with actual customer service, but in turn she answered and screamed “I’m not fighting with you”. Then hung up again!! She had no idea what I was even trying to ask! This is the most unprofessional, immature, lack of customer service employee I have ever encountered! I truly hope planet fitness reevaluates this Tracey employee! As for us, we will be canceling our membership, and speaking to management tomorrow. I have already sent an email to corporate! Very appalled by the actions of Tracey!! I will update on how management responds to this issue.
