About the Club

We are a locally-owned and community-focused studio on a mission to create a safe and welcoming place for anyone who walks through our doors. We are dedicated to serving students who may not have been welcomed into practice before, be that because of gender, age, race, class, or any other factor. We regularly engage with our community - and that of Atlanta as a whole - by hosting Yoga for a Cause sessions, offering recurring discounted classes, and contributing to fundraisers and drives in our effort to make yoga accessible to everyone. We look forward to seeing you in the studio soon!

I have been attending for three years and love it. I am very picky about yoga studios and their offerings and caliber of their classes and teachers is too notch. The diversity of their classes is very much appreciated as well!

Kind and engaging teachers leading you through practice in a beautiful space. Shout out to Lexi! I love practicing in the mornings by the windows and seeing the sun and the clouds.

Lots of class options in terms of levels, focus areas, and times.

So happy we have such a great studio in our community. :)

Classes at Sacred Yoga are such a treasure. All the instructors are knowledgeable and experienced. The classes are well designed to lead me from gentle poses into more demanding ones. It is always made clear that the practice is mine and I am encouraged to make any modifications that make it work for me. The studio is lovely and light filled and the atmosphere is so welcoming.

Both my wife and I have greatly enhanced our yoga practices at Sacred with the help of their wonderful teachers, all of whom bring their own unique styles to their classes. Plenty of class types to choose from too. The studio space is inviting with window lined walls (and bonus, plenty of great food options right downstairs to grab a meal or takeout after class). I’ve always felt welcomed at Sacred.

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years and have experienced many different studios. What sets Scared Yoga above other studios is their focus on offering a yoga practice that suits individual needs. The variety of classes from heated power flow, the slower but challenging sacred flow, yin, and restorative offers something for everyone. The studio is also stunning and the teachers are marvelous!!

Yin is a profoundly therapeutic practice when taught by an instructor who has respect for Yoga as a discipline (not a fitness class) ~ that absolutely describes Ashley Sorenson.

This class flows through the mental struggle for stillness & the physicality of long holds in challenging poses to the deep rest and rejuvenation of a Restorative practice, a perfect way to transition from one week to the next.

This is one of my all-time favorite classes (across 13 years of practice on three continents and dozens of states & countries :), I'm very grateful.

I love this studio, the space is gorgeous and the energy is amazing. Ashley and Cassandra’s classes are not to be missed, and the yoga sculpt class with Annelise is the perfect blend of flow and strength building.

Love going to Sacred Thread for classes! I started there last year when I was pregnant because it was hard to find prenatal classes nearby. I loved Nya's class and still try to fit her classes into my schedule whenever possible. I've really enjoyed all the teachers and there's a great range of experience levels in the classes. Parking is usually pretty easy and the location and studio are excellent. Can't wait until my kid is old enough for the littles classes!

A great space and a great community of yogis. I really appreciate the range of class styles, welcoming atmosphere, and focus on yoga philosophy. The 2nd floor studio has windows instead of mirrors, and I love watching the clouds go by and having the light change during class :)

I started practicing here in June 2023 and I’m in love! I had never taken a yoga class before and was extremely intimidated. I’d been wanting to try for years and after feeling too many aches and pains for my age, I finally worked up the nerve. After checking in I blurted out to Cassandra that ‘this is my first time!’ She made me feel super comfortable and not judged at all. I also get so much for my mind and soul. I feel very fortunate to have found this space and the teachers here!!

I love, love, love this studio. I started coming here about 2 years ago, just as COVID was ending, as my previous studio wasn’t able to make it through the pandemic. I gave this place a try mainly because it was one of the few in Atlanta that doesn’t offer solely hot yoga (or, didn’t - I believe they’ve added “warm” classes recently). Besides the warm classes, which I’ve avoided (I really do hate being hot lol) I’ve been to most of the offered classes, and no matter the difficulty or type, they’ve been uniformly excellent. The teachers are all really welcoming, the vibes are chill, and the location in Summerhill is great. Highly recommended.

I love practicing at this beautiful, welcoming space! I’ve taken the classic Sacred Flow, Prenatal and Baby + Me classes. I love the unique energy each teacher brings to the flow classes! So happy to be a part of a studio that has so many options of classes for families. There’s lots of membership options and classes thruout the day to fit your schedule which is so convenient. I’ve always felt comfortable practicing here knowing I’m among bodies of all shapes and sizes! I’ve also done two retreats with Annelise and can’t recommend them enough, it’s a gorgeous planned vacation that includes daily yoga - truly THE BEST!

I have been going to Sacred Thread for about 5 years. The Yoga Instructors are very nice, welcoming and personable. Sacred Thread has clean bathrooms which is very important to me. They also have lots of aids available to use during Yoga like bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps and Yoga mats if you happened to forget to bring yours. Instructors make you feel that your time there is all about you and what your body needs. Instructors are there before and after class available to answer questions you have about Yoga and suggestions on how you can improve on your practice. I have been to other Yoga Studios but Sacred Thread checked all my boxes.

We are relatively new to yoga, and have only been at Sacred for a couple of months, but we love it! The studio is beautiful, the teachers are all excellent. Each teacher’s practice is so unique and enjoyable, I look forward to everyday I get to go. I wish I could give the studio 10 stars. If you’re on the fence about joining, do it!

I’ve been practicing at Sacred Thread as soon as they opened up in Summerhill. I live in the neighborhood so it’s very convenient for me to walk over. But what got me to stay and to keep me coming back is the community and diversity.

The owner is very accommodating with a diverse yoga studio in terms of style, teachers, and class offerings. The best part is they have multiple classes for children so I can bring my daughter with me and give her the opportunity to practice at a young age.

So happy to have Anneliese and her studio in the neighborhood!

This is my favorite Yoga Studio.

This place is magical. It’s an adorable center for yoga, healing, meditation, sound baths, kundalini, and many other unique experiences and healing modalities.

It is especially good for those who are nursing injuries and need to cross-train from a heavier cardio schedule. An exceptional and diverse range of classes with fantastic instructors. Highly recommend it - all the hype is worth it.

Our instructors led by always fabulous owner, Annelise, provide explanations of the poses, and adjustments are delivered with utmost precision and meticulousness, rendering it unnecessary for a beginner in yoga to visually explore their surroundings.

Through the strong flow style, this studio cultivates extraordinary strength in each individual by incorporating distinctive and interesting poses with effortless elegant transitions, urging participants to push themselves to their limits without surpassing them. Within classes, this studio seamlessly intertwines instructive guidance with fluid expressions of inspirational ideas, providing profound insights into the journey of life, and allowing individuals to immerse themselves in a deeper state of meditative reflection.

Best in Atlanta! Hands down 😊 This is coming from a Yogi that has been practicing for over a decade

Best studio in Atlanta! There is an awesome variety of class styles, from super relaxing restorative practices to challenging power flows and everything in between. All the teachers are amazing, and it’s a super supportive environment whether you are a beginner or experienced yogi. Just a great yoga community!

Even having been a teacher here, 1star is my honest experience with this studio. This is what a review system is meant for. So when a person has a negative experience with an establishment it can be made know to others thinking about engaging with said establishment.

Definitely better yoga studios out there to spend money at. The props were dirty and the blankets smelled weird. And there was some distracting humming noise coming from the ceiling in the main studio.

There are two studios at this location, both with tons of windows and filled with light. It’s on the second floor of one of the main buildings in Summerhill’s village, so if you happen to catch a sunrise or sunset class the view is quite nice! I’ve been teaching here since this location of Sacred Yoga opened, about a year ago, and I really love it. The ambiance is wonderful, there’s a nice variety of classes, and the teachers are all very sweet. The best part though is the community feel. Between the teachers and the truly wonderful variety of students who come regularly, there’s a very welcoming vibe. There are students from every age, gender, and walk of life, all coming to tend to their bodies and minds in a beautiful space. I feel lucky to work and practice here!

After exploring many studios in Atlanta, Sacred Yoga is the studio I kept coming back to, from student to teacher! Sacred Yoga values yoga philosophy, threading its wisdom across the movement practice which is what makes yoga so transformative. There is diversity across students, teachers, and types of yoga offered. And the best part is the beautiful community.

The studio is spacious and peaceful with large windows letting in light and overlooking the quaint area of Summerhill. I took a class with Jamie Lorello and loved her playful, bright style.

I took my first Yoga class at Sacred Yoga with Nya, today. Wow! It was such a great experience. I have never done yoga in a class and was actually very nervous. Nya was amazing and everyone in the class was so welcoming. The studio is beautiful with a dope vibe and I can’t recommend Nya’s class enough!! I will be back!
