Dancing always intimidated me until I met Alfredo. He not only encourages you to be the best you can be, but he hones in on technique. I remember one of my first classes was literally pivots and spins... I was miserable and wanted to quit. But looking back to 9 months ago, I now understand why those foundations are pivotal. Because of my techniques taught by Alfredo, most people assume that I’ve been dancing for years! Alfredo was a great instructor for our wedding first dance. He was flexible with the schedule and he was able to understand our dance level and adjust a Choreography just in time for the wedding. I’ve been taking lessons with Alfredo for a little over a year...I’ve taken Bachata, Salsa, and Cumbia. I’ve also taken both group and private sessions. It’s ALWAYS a wonderful experience in any instance. Alfredo is patient and kind when correcting your footwork and he genuinely enjoys teaching dance. He’s consistent in this manner. I have taken both group classes and private lessons at Salsambo with Alfredo Picino. I highly recommend both experiences. Alfredo has helped me take my dancing to the next level and helped to build confidence to get out there and dance with different partners. Alfredo at Salsambo is a good Instructor. I‘be found him to be very patience and always gives thoughtful instructions that are easy to pick up. He is experienced, professional with good communication skills.
There are good dancers that are now teaching, but there is a difference between a good Dancer and a great dance Instructor. Too often people think that because they are a good dancer that they will make a good dance Instructor: Alfredo is more than a good dancer - he is a great Dance Teacher/Instructor.

I’ve studied with Alfredo/ Salsambo for years ... he has opened more doors to my learning than anybody ever .. the combination of classes/ private’s / him having the best events locally and even in Cancun has not only solidified my training, but has become my social outlet of choice - hands down. Highly recommend Salsambo if you live in Atlanta and have ever thought about Latin dancing. There are classes for all levels and you’ll meet a whole community of dancers who have all learned from Alfredo and are passionate about dancing. Very low stress environment, do not need to bring a partner. Just be prepared to get hooked. The more you dance, the more you’re going to want to dance!

I have learned so much from Alfredo the past three years... I started out not even knowing the basic steps to doing multiple performance teams two years later. He is very patient and taught me the foundation for being a good lead. As a new dancer, I remember not being very confident and many times avoided social dancing altogether. He kept encouraging me and gave me the reassurance that I needed in order to not give up. He has great energy and is an awesome person inside and out.

Great instruction by a great instructor. They say those who cannot do teach, this isn't the case here. It's great to learn and master amazing techniques/sequences and yet still be amazed and inspired when watching Alfredo, himself, dance. This has got to be the best latin dance instructor in Atlanta! You can go in knowing nothing and a few weeks later, you’re amazed at your progress. Since starting with him, I’ve come to love salsa not only because it’s fun but because of the culture and benefits (ie staying in shape and meeting new people) that come with it.
