I’m a regular quest of the club and visit a few times a year as my family lives on the island. I pay for a quest pass, which is a little high ($25) for a day, but the front desk employees were very nice and quick. The equipment was good and clean, some minor ripped stuff. Plus it’s a little cramped, especially when busy. Too many pieces of weight lifting equipment in the 2 rooms. The locker rooms are fair but no towels is a bummer. The cardio room is ok, but the equipment is worn. Overall they owners need to invest in a some new equipment and it would be a great up date. If I lived here I would join this gym.

Went for a day as I’m moving to st Simon’s soon. Gym and equipment isn’t bad, but locker room was repulsive. I gagged when I walked in the steamroom and there was muddy water sitting all over the locker room floors. Also, no towels. A bit more attention to the cleanliness of this place and a more functional steamroom and I would consider joining.

An amazing facility one of the best Ive been too. They have everything here and pricing is so reasonable. Great coaches, workouts and staff. Angela owner has a tremendous heart for people too, helped me when I needed it most, an amazing person. This place treats you like family.

Outstanding customer service and facilities. The Club has a wide variety of great classes and fitness equipment. The staff members are very helpful and friendly, and the daycare program is wonderful. They have reasonably priced plans for both residents and visitors. The website is informative, and the staff will go out of their way to answer membership questions. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great gym on St. Simons and an environment where you’re treated like family.

The price does not equate to the what you should receive. 1.) no towels available 2.) broken equipment and or sauna steam room is out of order, and things are just broken all around with no plans to fix them (men’s locker room has a floor ripped up for months, steam room spigot is loose and broken from the wall, along with broken lockers and many other small issues where you see they don’t care to fix it for membership). 3.) lack of water… I have never been to a gym with such a lack of access to water

All around it has good amenities but it is a $60/month gym max if you aren’t using it for classes. The classes are really great; if you do the classes often the $150/month is not a terrible deal as they are unlimited. They are taking advantage of being the only gym in the area; it will come to an end quickly if another gym moves into town… with the area growing rapidly mgmt should begin to plan for competition bc they will lose 50% of membership the moment another good gym moves in.

I'm was town on business and looking for a gym to work out while I'm here, so I called The Club and asked if they do free trial passes for the day as many other gyms do (I specifically said the word free). The woman on the phone said that they do, so I drove over there. My intent was to check out the place and see if all the negative reviews were right, or if it was worth paying for membership during the months I am in St. Simon's. When I got to The Club I said I was the guy who just called and repeated that I was looking for a free trial pass for the day so I can check the place out. The woman at the desk named Anne took my driver's license and gave me a form to sign, and walked over to the computer. She ignored what I had said, and responded "will you be paying the fee with cash or card?" I hesitated and repeated that I asked about free trial day passes on the phone and the woman said the gym offers them. Anne rolled her eyes and in a snarky, snotty tone said "well ya didn't talk to me." I said well I'm not interested in paying that much for a day (if I remember correctly the fee was $25). Anne, in a sarcastic and rude tone and demeanor, said "okay" and shrugged her shoulders and turned her back as if dismissing me.

Clearly the management of The Club is incompetent, since they hired a person like Anne for a customer facing position. Everyone has bad days, but a degree of professionalism should be expected, particularly in customer service jobs. Not offering a free day pass at a gym is odd, but not a big deal. The negative reviews of The Club are 100% on point - trust the other reviewers and avoid this place. There are much better options on the island, particularly when the prices are insanely high and the service is so poor.

Had a terrible experience here, the gym itself is extremely cramped with equipment that seems cheap and flimsy for the membership price they charge.

The service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Especially the girl working at the front desk. She was rude, condescending, and did not even pretend to like her job/be a helpful receptionist.

Gym experience/equipment: 3/10
Service: 0/10

Survived as long as I could in this place but the fees are outrageous and equipment stays broken for lengthy amounts of time-basically outdated. The first gym I've EVER been to with an unfriendly atmosphere as well. Poor management.

I love going to The Club Gym. Everyone is so nice and I have met so many great friends that have turned into family! The staff at the front always welcomes me when I walk inside. My son, Bowen goes to the daycare with Mrs. Dale and she is so sweet! He loves playing in there. The classes are my absolute favorite!!! The instructors know what they are doing and I leave feeling so great!! This is my happy place! :)

Lots of amenities here, multiple workout rooms, pool, basketball court, yoga etc. I was looking forward to working out here but I went twice and got sick due to the mold problem in this building. If you are sensitive to mold/or have Lyme disease, avoid this place at all costs.

Just visiting St Simon and seeing this club website gave me a easy knowledge of what they do and the prices were easily presented. Already had a confident feeling about the club thru the website experience

Great facility I’ve used for years when traveling thru the area. Somewhat aged but still great equipment. My most recent visit, they’ve roughly tripled day-pass prices to $25 - sorry guys, it ain’t that good. Week = $80, 1 month = $200. Completely unrealistic.

Your website is useless… if I wanted to call to get pricing I would have just called and not looked online. Not everyone wants to call and talk to someone they don’t know and be forced into a long conversation I just want to know what it costs. If that’s not on your website what is the point of your website? That pretty much automatically turns me off for this place.

I have been lucky enough to have Julie Hoover for two yoga classes. Since this is new to me her patience and instruction were invaluable. Her kindness and serenity really helped me enjoy and get the most out of yoga.
The staff at The Club is so professional and courteous. There is so much offered that anyone can get what they need.
Everything is very clean even at the end of the day.

I’m not a member of this gym, but I have visited on multiple occasions. I travel to the SSI area every week for work and enjoy getting a workout there. Equipment is great and there is a good variety. The reason for 3 stars is the price they charge for a day pass. $15 is a bit ridiculous to workout for 2 hrs. If I go two days a week, that’s $30 and my gym membership back home is $35 a month.
It would be nice is they offered consistent guests a better deal.

In the weight room, we seem to have a few people who seem to be in agony if you take into consideration primal screams, grunts, and other such sounds. This is annoying to other people in there, and should not be allowed.

I'm not a member, I dropped in to take a hot yoga class at 10 am on Wednesday. I really enjoyed the class and the little studio was very attractive. The reason for the 3 star review is that they have a zumba class downstairs that starts at 10:30 (1/2 hour into our yoga class) - the floors actually vibrate and it's hard to relax when all you can hear is the blasting music and the booming of the bass. I'm writing this review so hopefully the owners will take a look at this and be more cautious with scheduling classes because I would like to come back!

I hope everyone who lives on St. Simon's Island knows what a gem The Club is. In addition to providing a diverse range of fitness equipment and facilities, membership also includes access to their fabulous yoga studios! Their staff are amazing and I especially love their group fitness classes. I'm always greeted with a smile and I have never felt self-conscious about working out at The Club because everyone is so friendly and encouraging. If you've never taken a class with Jessica or Foxy Roxy then you are seriously missing out on life because those two ladies are fantastic, inspiring women!
