Impossible to get a PT appointment and am sadly and frustratingly walking away from $1,200 worth of workouts. Owner ghosted me during Covid pandemic. Front desk ghosted me. Paid in FULL until Dec 31 and STILL got sent to collections for a ‘fee’ of some sort. I asked for franchise number, I asked for a ‘higher up’ person to talk to, no response. $1200 is ALOT to me. Been battling this since April 2020. Moving out of town. This gym gives me anxiety from all the issues. Be careful giving your account number. Bad policy in my opinion……

The gym and staff is great, but the company they use to process payment and the policies are so bad. Any gym that has the process to sign up easy less than 10 mins and the process to cancel be so much more of a pain should be a red flag. I read another review having the same issue. They really don’t care.

There is no logical reason why the process to cancel should be any different than the process to sign up other than to extract more money from people. Nothing can change my mind about that. Be better.

Where do I even begin? Canceling is a nightmare. Right from the start and without my knowledge a staff member signed me up for a plan that didn’t even exist.

Fast forward half a year, and I decide to cancel because the gym lacks serious amenities, no one knew how I could cancel it because the term I signed up for was one they had never seen. So it was even more of a headache. And on top of the outdated equipment like the treadmills from the 2000’s the A/C was out for two weeks. They did not bring in fans or anything. Who needs a sauna when you can go to Anytime Fitness for the small price of your soul and sanity?

It took me three months to cancel. And to this day, I’m still not even sure if it’s actually canceled, because everyone gives me a different answer.

I had to pay off the rest of a contract I never even knew I had. I specifically told the staff member I wanted a month to month plan which without my knowledge he tricked me into getting something else.

To cancel, I was told I had to mail in a letter which I did. I even got in person confirmation from an employee that it had been received. But apparently, he did nothing with it, and the cancellation was never processed.

After that, I called again for what felt like the hundredth time. They never seem to answer the phone unless you call five times in a row, and they don’t respond to voicemails either.

To this day, I still don’t know if the membership is canceled, because the system continues to show it as “pending.”

The lighting outside at night is very dim leaving the parking lot extremely dark. That road is not safe to begin with and no lighting just adds to that.

Recently I canceled my gym membership with a different gym company and it took me 20 seconds. All I had to do was click “yes” I seriously could not believe my eyes and almost cried tears of joy because I genuinely could not believe how easy it was. Expecting a whole month long process of canceling. But nope just simple as one button and I’m done. No questions. WAT should really try to make this process easier.

The gym itself isn’t terrible, but it’s definitely not on par with others. The real issue is the payment company they use. The staff are friendly apart from the one who signed me up, but he no longer works for WAT. But they clearly lack solid policy’s.

Unfortunately this gym is just not on the same level as other gyms. The equipment is old and beat. The treadmills are from 2010 as they have iPhone 4 chargers. No one ever re racks weights. The bathroom urinal is broken. One of only 2 stairmasters is broken. The bathrooms are clean but outdated and old. And the fees are high. Not to mention there are not many of these gyms. The only positive is there’s never really anyone here and the staff are nice.

I been getting run around by the payment processor and the club at town center. I called and rep laughed saying “ I’m not trying to be funny but you need to call the payment processor abc”. I call payment processor and they tell me they don’t know what these additional charges are or where the money went for. The processor tell me I need to call. Well no I found out the club decided to upgrade my membership without my acknowledgment. They never sent me a notice. They broke the agreement and now want me to follow the agreement pay them for an additional month before I can cancel. Don’t go here or get a membership. They broke agreement and change my monthly payment and can’t explain where the money going.

So then I told my credit card company to decline future charges from workout anytime. Fast forward to today and I find out that the lady who owns this place sent me to collections. I just started going a few days ago. I enjoy it. There's a calm atmosphere. Only things I feel meh about are the showers feel outdated but that's no biggie. The other thing is there's not really a good place to fill up a water bottle. There's only to old school fountains or tap water. Neither are enough to sway me from continuing to go here. Also the staff is very friendly and the place stays clean.

I personally like this location. It’s closer to my job. And not crazy busy like the Marietta location which is closer to home. Staff is always friendly. I signed up online ACCIDENTALLY at the Tyrone location (which I’ve never EVER been to) and 1 of the employees offered to call them and see if they can somehow switch my location over so I don’t have to provide ID each time. Idk if they were able to, but the thought was very appreciated. Someone’s always cleaning, so idk what the comments about it being dirty are in reference to. But I’m a fan. Extremely introvert and hate overcrowded and overbearing gyms. This one is right in the middle, depending on the hour you get there.

The owner is very rude and condescending. I had a membership before, but this particular time I was visiting as a guest on my friend’s membership. First of all, they said they had to keep my drivers license while I worked out. Super weird. Then when I questioned it, I was met with some of the worst customer service and was told that has been policy for 15 years, and no one in the last 15 years has been doing their job properly. Crazy. On top of that, the front desk lady, Patty, spoke to us like we’re dumb. Since we got there before the staff got there, she felt the need to stop us on our way out and say something about it. On top of THAT, she put my personal business on blast for anyone to hear that my account is in collections, which I didn’t appreciate. She could have asked us to step inside a more private room if she was gonna put my personal information out there like that. Then if we really wanna get into it, let’s talk about the fact that they’re worried about me and my membership, but don't even clean their bathrooms. The women’s restroom is always disgusting and I see the same dirt every time I go in there. Who knows the last time they cleaned the equipment?? 🤢🤢 Looking at all the reviews of people saying how rude the owner is should tell you everything you need to know. Don't get a membership at this gym or especially don't pay for a personal trainer. All they do is take your money. They charged me $180 a month for 10 months last year and never provided any personal trainer. The only people they have working for them look like they've never worked out in their life. How does that instill confidence that they know what they're doing. And even if they do employ someone that knows what they're talking about, they shift them to another gym to boost sales there leaving your gym without qualified trainers. If you want to get out of your contract, send a registered letter to cancel both the gym membership and the personal trainer membership. Better yet, avoid this franchise altogether.

Scam of a gym, do NOT go to this gym under any circumstances.
The gym itself is way too packed with equipment, makes it difficult to move, the equipment are outdated, almost all the pads on the equipment are worn out, revealing the rugged garment underneath. Toilet is always broken.
Worst part is that the cancellation is basically impossible. The staff that signed me up "forgot" to mention that early cancellation is impossible, and the renewal is automatic.
If you want to suspend the auto-renewal, you need to create an account through a different website, call the other website's customer service, and MAIL (not e-mail) a written letter of suspension of automatic renewal. Apparently this policy is SPECIFIC for this town center location. Shame on the manager and the staff.

I’m warning everybody don’t sign up for a personal trainer at this location. They don’t follow up with you because the trainers keep changing every couple months. I missed out on sessions with a trainer and never got a make up sessions. One of the trainers scammed me and 100 other people out $180. Just go to LA Fitness if you want a trainer.

Had been a member for a couple years and started PT. The PT was very helpful and I have nothing bad to say about the training. However, the customer service was absolutely horrible. I had gotten surgery and was unable to workout for the rest of the time I had left of my PT (a few months). I told the trainers this before surgery that I was going to be out for months and that I would not be able to workout. I tried calling and texting to get my PT cancelled so I wasn’t getting charged for a service I could not use and never got a response. I came in recently with a doctors note (required to cancel) to show that I was unable to workout and the person working upfront wasn’t much help other then saying a manager would reach out. I called corporate and they said they would give my email to the owner and manager. I never got a response so I called back and they said that the owner had said he would reach out. That never happened in the timeframes that were given. Took almost a month and a half for a manager to reach out about cancelling. Absolutely ridiculous that this is the way a business is being ran. Clear as day that the owner only cares about money and nothing else, needless to say, take your money else where and don’t get screwed over like I did.

I have been with Workout Anytime since 2018. The equipment is solid, and it is always clean. Thankfully, it is not filled with tons of "influencers" posing for the camera - which means I can get a real, meaningful workout without having to fight for a spot. As a side note, I signed up with Virginia back in 2018. When I had a billing issue, she called me immediately and got it resolved. It also made me feel great that despite a five year span, she still remembered me and a little about me. Thank you!

Do not go here. They do not answer their phones, respond to emails, or to texts. We’ve been trying to cancel a personal training membership and it has been an absolute nightmare trying to do so. They don’t accept cancellations or buyout checks in person, somehow the registered mail didn’t get to them, and they just won’t follow up or stop charging us.

Despite going in to cancel, my husband (Sean Titus) is still being charged for his membership. No one responded to his several texts, calls, and emails. Do not go here.

Good neighborhood gym. Everyone seems nice and will usually let you work in a set or two with them if needed. It tends to be a guys gym so it isnt the cleanest. It is as full as the space can handle so it does feel cramped at times. Overall I like the gym and will continue to use it.

Tim and Jason are amazing! When Jason started here I went from no weight lost to 9.6 pounds down in a month! I had been at a plateau for weeks and I almost quit but 2 weeks after deciding not to Jason helped make my weight loss take off!! Jason really works to make sure you are getting a different intense workout experience every session so you NEVER get bored! Tim is great at making sure you are keeping proper form to get the most benefit out of each workout even when he's not training you and he will DEFINITELY make sure your workout is hell...in a good way!! I really like this gym. It has such a good mixture of old and young, men and women, many races, rich and poor, and experience levels. Everyone fits right in. And the locker room is always clean. I particularly like Tim Key who is serious about helping people get fit. I can't imagine anyone not benefitting from Tim's expertise and he's easy to be around. He's an expert, not just someone who needs a job. You'll be happy here!

This place is open 24/7 the staff doesn't hound you, for its size it has everything it you can possibly fit in there from free weights, treadmills, bikes, machines for every part of your body, hydro bed, tanning beds, lockers, showers and restrooms. If there was even one more item in this place there would be no room to work out. It has the vibe of a real gym where someone might try to show off but most guys that love arm day skip leg day so well they flex with a 65lb weight in there hand ill flex with 600lb on the leg press...

Probably the worst workout anytime in this area. Scanning hardly works, the people at the desk are not friendly. It’s also not as clean and doesn’t offer as much as the other Workout any times in the area. Avoid.

The one on Kennesaw due west blows this one out of the water and it’s just better to go to that one.

Recently signed up. The gym is small and quaint. Tons of cardio equipment and the stairmills are really nice. Has most of what you need. Only downside they only have one squat rack and no deadlift platform. But everything else gets the job done. The manager Tim was super nice and we had a great time talking about powerlifting and fitness overall. Looking forward many good sessions.

Edited: tried to give this place an honest chance but after a month I’m cancelling my membership. First off going at 4:30am was sketchy as heck. There were people hanging out in the bathroom as if they had been sleeping there over night. Their squat rack is dangerous for someone my height (5’6”). Because it’s a squat stand and not full power rack you can’t adjust the j-pegs. Gotta go on my tippy toes. This place is also super cramped and hard to navigate. Also simple stuff like a landmine set up they don’t even have. I’m sure it’s a good fit for others but I just can’t make use of this gym. Also be mindful and make sure you’re fully aware of their cancellation policy.

I was unable to access my account online to cancel and fees have been piling up.

The owner Virginia Holding personally reached about a 3 month freeze vs. canceling. During the freeze, I was unable to log in to cancel (they use the same portal as several gyms/studios) so now ABC Fitness is calling nonstop about fees and Virginia has ghosted me.

I'm trainer and this kills the reputation of the fitness industry. I understand agreements but you need you consider the unique circumstances we're in.

It's hard enough to get folks to the gym, especially during a pandemic - extend the courtesy of alerting members of their account status so they can make a decision.

While the location has a very workable layout the staff and OWNER are not professional, they lack knowledge (except 1 person), do little about keeping the floor picked up and especially the owner are very petty in dealing with members from other clubs. DO YOUR RESEARCH and find a location acceptable to everything you ask NOT JUST THE PRICE!

Unnacceptable to treat a customer in such a fashion in the midst of a pandemic where finances are short to force a customer to pay for additional months of service to cancel. When the 12 month contract happened to have been reached to satisfy the contract with no need to pay additional fees. “We don’t charge a cancellation fee”. This is a really well equipped gym for the size. The staff here is friendly. Equipment is clean, as well as the restrooms. This is my favorite location to go to. I’ve tried 3 other locations, and only go to one other one since it’s on the way home from school. It’s much bigger and the equipment seems newer. It does get crowded during the busier hours, but I found the perfect times to go where there is only a few other people working out. When staff isn’t there in the evenings, the front door locks and you get in by scanning your key card.

While I enjoy that it's 24 hours, I hate that there's nobody around during staffed hours. It's very upsetting that I pay for a service and cannot use it. I like tanning, it's why I pay for a more expensive membership but half the time it's worthless. What's worse is that what if I was someone trying to sign up? I guess no new money for them? If I was the owner I would be very upset!!

I just wanted to rave on Stephanie who has recently started working at this location. Been going to this location for a few years now and would watch employees just sit behind the desk on their phone. Stephanie is actually taking pride in this location, keeping it clean and organized. Very friendly as well. You've got a great team member here.

Why even have to give this place one star the customer service my buddy received for walking in the gym and immediately asked if he can use the restroom and immediately was met attitude and rudeness not even asking if he was going to be some a member etc just going off his looks he was dirty at the time from helping me fix my car but he owns his own business doing gym equipment repair for big nice gyms as in crunch and la fitness going through past reviews from other I can see why people complain about rudeness fr the front desk not only that but then screwing over hard working customers with making it nearly impossible to cancel memberships and continually charging for services not wanted pitiful this place truly does not car about it's customers and rather try to get rich off bad business

Went in asking were the restroom is, was immediately told " I couldn't use it if I'm not a member." Seeing as my bladder was full I didn't feel like explaining the finer points of customer relations and humanity. Workout anytime is mostly for Seniors that belong to
Silver Sneakers who belong to a Medicare plan that allows them to work out for half an hour for free.
The staff is friendly and helpful I found that the equipment wasn't well taken care of it was loose in certain areas where it should have been tighter and stronger to use I was hurt by a machine that was to lose to us properly it should have felt tighter at the right places. So sorry.

Best experience I've had at a gym. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean environment and 24/7 access all for $40 a month for my sister and I. This price also includes tanning and hydro massage. In addition, I have enrolled in private sessions with Virginia and she has helped me tremendously to stay motivated and focused on my goals. In the first couple of months I lost 16lbs and I'm very happy with how everything is going. I am more positive and I have more energy on a daily basis.

Front desk woman was rude! I’ve been to several workout anytime locations with my husband on our family plan and this was the first time there was an issue. Won’t be back here! Cartersville location is awesome if you have the chance to visit.

I enjoy the work out I had over there. I like the set up of the gym. It seems to be fairly popular, but at the same time not crowded at least during the time I went there. The front desk persons he seems to be well informed and knew how to explain the plans that they have over there. I am currently doing a 14 days trials which I like that because it allows me to taste the water and see if that fits. While it is not huge gym, but I would recommend if you are just simply looking to stay fit.

Do NOT join unless you like bending over backwards and jumping through hoops to cancel a membership. They make you write a letter and MAIL, yes you read that right MAIL it to the physical address of the gym. NO, you CANNOT hand it to them, you must mail it. But still after mailing in May the payment is coming out of our account. You only talk to their staff and cannot speak to an owner about the matter. Poor business model, get with the times and update your systems to an electronic cancellation system.

Okay at best. This gym is very small and has absolutely no space to stretch. Forget trying to do lunges or jump rope. The people who work there use the equipment and talk to friends while they are supposed to be at the front desk checking people in. It would be very easy to sneak in if you weren't a member because, like I said, the workers are too busy to notice because they're trying to get their own workout in. I don't think I will renew my contract when it's up.

Semi decent equipment if you just want to mess around in an average gym... But beyond terrible business model. Don’t join this gym unless you wanna jump through 25 hoops to cancel your membership. You have to write a letter and mail it to their BS financial company like its 1997... DO NOT JOIN THIS MESS. Also they will charge you for an extra 30 days AFTER your membership is canceled. Do not be fooled by their “$15” dollar signs and get ready for a gym that smells like garbage and has homeless people living inside overnight. End of rant. Spend the extra 5-15 a month and PLEASE go elsewhere!!!!

Would highly NOT recommend this facility. First of all, the equipment is subpar. Half the time cardio machines don’t work. Second, they reel you in with a month-to-month program. I was told upon signing my membership agreement in June of 2017 that if I ever needed to cancel I would just have to call the financial company they use. My husband even called to cancel his membership in July because he found an establishment he liked better. Easy enough right? Wrong. Here I am 7 months later trying to cancel my membership since we moved 40 miles away and I do not have one close to me anymore, now they are saying I have to write a written letter to headquarters in Arizona. I was told that they’re policy had changed, but I never received notification of it changing. Definitely a waste of time and money. Would not ever be a returning member.

This is my go to gym. I go here all the time because I am a member. The staff is great, and it's a no pressure zone. Come in for 25mins or Stay there for hours working out. Everyone is to themselves and getting in a nice burn! Which reminds me...i should be heading there myself shortly. Come check it out. You even get a free run of the place to see if you like it. Near local shopping areas and bars if you want to meet up as well so its not far from civilization. Great weights and equipment, definitely will get a good workout. Have not tried out the hydra bed or anything yet. Plus it has showers if you care to use them. I have. It's a good way to stay fit for the new years and it's on your time 24/7!!

BUYER BEWARE! This place is a complete scam! They got me in by saying I would get free training from a personal trainer; and then they could never get a hold of the trainer. They will be really friendly at first and make sign up very easy, but they charged me $150 just to get started and a few months later when I tried to cancel my membership they said I had to snail mail a letter to some PO Box in a different state and they would still deduct another month of membership. So far I have tried everything to cancel my membership and they are still deducting money from my account. It's been over four months! All they want is your credit card number and rest assured you will get screwed. They are a predatory company and I am filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Secretary of Commerce.

Some pros would be that the gym is larger than other 24/7 Fitnesses and there is almost always equipment open for you to work out on. Some cons would be the cleanliness of the equipment and customer service. People unfortunately don't clean up after themselves and leave equipment gross and covered in sweat; I'll go in the next day and it will still be gross. The employees should enforce the concept of wiping down the equipment after usage or get around to actually cleaning the equipment themselves cause it's nasty.

Nice workout facility. A bit small and can feel really cramped at times. Their customer service by far is the worse i've encountered from a gym. Extremely pushy at the beginning when you sign your contract. And then don't even begin to think canceling will be a breeze. They prolong it to squeeze another billing period out of you, even when you follow their dumb cancellation procedure.

Been a member for 2 years. Used to be great. Recently there have been some staff changes and the gym is a lot more dirty and less kept up with. Staff doesn't clean the restrooms before they leave. The men's room has paper towels and dirty water on the floor and counters that wasn't cleaned before the staff left, and it smells like waste. Overall, the equipment is great and the gym has potential, but the staff have a ways to go.

I have moved over 30 min away from this gym and they will not let me cancel my membership!! Worst experience with customer service ever. Donna was so sweet when I first came and now that I want to leave she is making it impossible and is very rude. I will probably never join a gym ever again because of this terrible experience. Do Not join Workout Anytime. The only good thing about Workout Anytime is that it is clean and staff is friendly. Otherwise this place is HORRIBLE! I am so glad that I am cancelling my membership. Been a member of WOA for about 5 years now. The gym is always clean, the staff is helpful, and the equipment is brand new. I'm in there about 5 days out of the week, and its almost never crowded. But even during peak hours from 5-7, you won't have to wait around for a machine or piece of equipment to open up which is a plus. I recommend strongly to join this gym, you will not regret it.
