My goal as a personal trainer is to help my clients realize that they are capable of so much more than they think and building a platform to success for them. I take the time to create a program that is specifically tailored to each of my clients goals. Fitness has the ability to improve your mental/physical health and change your life. Mel is the best trainer on Maui. She cares about your health and your progress. She helps you get your self confidence back. Being a victim of the Lahaina Widfires, lost people i loved in the past few years brought me to a lack of self love, low self esteem, my body wasn't happy and mentally i broke down, but training with Mel helped me so much that it became part of my healing process and it still remains a priority. I feel so much better physically and mentally. Plus, I created a nice bond with her. Mel's energy is healing!

My wife and I did personal training with Mel for the 7 months we lived on Maui. She gave us excellent, individualized workouts (combination of weight training and kickboxing), that were perfectly suited to us. It was an absolute blast! We no doubt would have continued longer had we not moved back to the mainland. Mel is super sweet and personable and the workouts are fun and effective! We absolutely recommend training with Mel, especially for couples interested in working out together!

Mel is an expert trainer - she is very tuned in to my specific goals. With each session, my mind to muscle connection is strengthened thanks to her cuing. When I began training with her, I found it difficult to even slightly engage a particular muscle group, and now that muscle group is immediately engaged with every movement. The results are so impressive! Her approach is very comprehensive - she sends me workouts when I’m away on trips, checks in about nutrition, and sends appointment reminders. It’s a 10/10 service. I have explored many modalities of fitness but have never been able to target one muscle group so specifically. Mel can definitely get you to your goals, and to top it off, she’s fun!! I highly recommend her!

Mel is an amazing trainer. In the three months I've been training with her I've become so much stronger, my body has changed and I've learned so much that I'm finally more confident in the gym by myself. Deciding to train with her is one of the best things I've done for myself. I look forward to our sessions each week. Shes knowledgeable, fun and really gets me to push myself. I’ve been training with Mel for a couple of months and would recommend her to anyone looking to improve their overall fitness.
Mel learned about my goals and preferences and consistently comes up with a thoughtful plan for each session. She adapts to the vibe which can sometimes be fast past and upbeat or chiller when I’m more tired. Bonus: Mel is punctual!
If you’re looking for a trainer, it’s worth trying out Mel for at least session to see if it’s a fit!

Excuse me Google I need more than 5 stars please!!!! Mel is amazing! Motivating kind and friendly! I am a newbie and pregnant but that hasn’t stopped her from taking me on and training. She is able to break down the workouts in a way that makes it so enjoyable and I don’t feel like I’m working out I’m having so much fun yet still getting in shape. I highly recommend Mel’s training style she empowers you and builds your confidence while also teaching you how kick box with proper form and all the basics building your skills each session. I’ve noticed so much improvement in my abilities in just our first few sessions. Even though I’m pregnant, I feel better than I have physically in a long time and I owe it to Mel for keeping me moving and having fun! Here’s to more more more I didn’t think I could enjoy this this much! Give her a try you’ll absolutely love it I swear!!

I personally have always struggled with fitness programs and wanting to get into shape. It’s always been a yo-yo effect on me. But with Mel she’s so easy going and fun to train with. I’m starting to notice a change in my self esteem as Im getting better at learning how to box and have a healthier outlet when I get sad or angry. If you are on Maui and need a cool personal trainer. Mel is an amazing trainer. She will customize your workout based on your goals and needs. If you have a particular injury or limitation, she can work around it.
Before the pandemic, I worked out 3-5 times a week but have stopped for a couple of years. I was hesitant to go to an indoor gym but Mel is able to train me outdoors and she can train you where ever you are in the Kihei area, so no excuses!

Working with Mel is the first time I've done weight training. Having scoliosis and osteoporosis I was reluctant to use just any trainer. Mel took the exercises the doctors and physical therapists recommended, researched more and came up with a perfect program for me. Mel is a super hard trainer, who will absolutely support you while also pushing you to be your best self. She constantly reassured me when I first started that progress takes some time and the results aren’t instant. She knows what she’s doing and she trains great. From personal experience I’ve told Mel what areas I wanted to focus on and in two weeks I started noticing a lot of good changes in my body, and my mental health. I highly recommend Melani for personal training. I feel like I’ve tried so many things in my fitness journey and I was never getting the results I wanted. I found Mel and she’s been nothing short of amazing! She’s helped me in so many ways. I have severe anxiety and I thought getting a personal trainer would be too intense but Mel has an amazing vibe to her, so positive, and uplifting that you don’t feel like you are being pushed too your breaking point. She will push you though and show you that anything is possible. She just does it in a way that doesn’t make you dread the next session you will have with her! So thankful I found her!

My boyfriend and I love working out with Mel!! She is great at giving us both workouts that help us achieve our individual goals while still being able to workout together. Mel has been nothing short of amazing. I’ve tried so many workout and diet plans over the years with no success or motivation. I loved every session with Mel and never felt the lack of motivation I normally feel when it comes to working out. In 12 sessions I lost 9 inches total. 5 of which in my tummy alone. Mel is so awesome, kind and makes working out fun! I'm writing this as I just texted Mel to let her know how amazingly sore I am today. If you're looking for an established trainer who has a passion for kickboxing and weight training to get results, Mel is your gal. I had zero kickboxing experience before working with Mel and she made me feel completely comfortable in getting me up to speed. Even if you have experience with kickboxing and/or weight training, I highly recommend her training. She'll also work with you on diet and send you home with workouts in between sessions. I've only been training with her for a month and am definitely getting the results I came to her for!
