Very disappointed I the course this year. We have played every year for over 20 years and loved the course. It was wonderfully cared for, lush, green and in great shape BUT this year it was awful. The course was super dry, the fairways and greens were spotty and yellow. The back nine was worse than the front nine.
We mentioned our disappointment after our round and were told that everyone thinks it is in great shape and was taken back by our comment.

Love playing the course, one of the best value days on Maui. However, behind the course there are a few issues. AC in Gilligans dripping so long it has dissolved the wood floor. The range has Toptracer which is great, but more and more bays are becoming unfunctional, broken displays, no connection to login, and most of all no shot recognition.
If you are there just to play a round, you will have a great time. Just a heads up to the management that other things need looking after especially for the locals who are coming week in week out.

June 30 2025 I understand that the course has a new superintendent. He or she has done a great job improving the course. It's in a better condition now. It's great for the price on Maui. The staffs are friendly and kind. The range has been remodeled a few years back with solar panels canopy. Also, each bay has a launch monotor! The greens are in great conditions but kind of slow but you can get used to it. A little tip for putting on these green, if you've never played here before; they usually break more than you think if you've not used to Bermuda (i think). Mahalo Maui Nui.🤙

I’ve been a regular customer at Maui Nui for years. I hit balls at the range almost every week. I hit a medium basket last week and later I noticed bank of Hawaii alerted me to a double charge and that two mediums were purchased back to back. I only hit one basket when I go to hit balls and I know about how many balls and how long that takes. I hit one medium and I was charged for two. I didn’t want a refund just a credit for my next basket. I went to the pro shop the next time I went to hit balls which is already a bit of a hassle because the ball machine is near the range so I don’t often go in the pro shop. I showed the double charge on my phone to Michelle at the counter. Michelle told me that I actually received 150 balls at the time of the purchase. Since Michelle was not present when I got the balls I have no idea how she could say that. I’ve been golfing for a long time but it doesn’t take that to know the difference between 75 and 150 range balls. I told her I only received 75. She told me no that I’m wrong and that two baskets worth came out but in the same sentence she said she would give me a code for the balls so I said ok thank you and dropped it. I get out to the range and she only gave me a code for a small bucket. So not only did she not actually make it right but she also insulted a regular customer in the process by telling me I’m too stupid to know the difference between 75 and 150 balls.

Overall nice experience, first time playing from California. Friendly and helpful staff, greens and fairways were in good condition. Bunkers had a thinnish layer of black sand, which I could not figure out. (Not sure if it was bad technique. I found 3 bunkers, took 1 shot to get out of each but my club seemed to bottom out early and glide, and every shot was a screamer out of the trap). It was windy out on the range but I did not notice the effect out on the course as much.

We had an excellent time at Maui Nui! The staff are the best I've expirenced so far. From the nice starter from Kentucky, to the Marshall who waited on the fairway to ensure it was clear for us too tee off on a blind shot on 11, and to the attendants who took in the carts and rented golf clubs, and to the nice blond bartender who gave us a good recommendation on food! We love Maui Nui golf course. It's a fun course, and the prices are reasonable. Additionally they have a great range for warming up, a sand area to practice getting out of bunkers, plus a practice putting green. We always play here several times when we come to visit. This golf course is awesome and crazy affordable. All the staff were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The conditions here were fantastic and the vibes were incredibly high. Not the hardest course on the island, but absolutely fun and enjoyable. The carts were critical to have a USB, GPS, and speakers… yes, the carts have Bluetooth SPEAKERS!

Our group of 3 from Minnesota was joined by a gentleman from Washington. The 4 of us had a great time. Never had to wait on another group, rarely saw anyone behind us, and the beverage cart was always there when we needed it. The greens were in good shape and the fairways were beautiful. The price was the most reasonable as well for Maui. We also received 6 free balls with our club rentals.

I went with my dad into this golf course this afternoon as tourists. The two men that were on shift, one working behind the counter and the other near the carts, were the most unwelcoming, unhelpful, rude and arrogant staff my dad has ever encountered at a golf course and he has played at courses all over the globe. Hopefully the staff at the other courses on Maui are friendlier.

I consider this my home course on Maui. The staff here are very friendly and helpful and make playing here even more enjoyable.

I have a Players Card that makes golf more affordable.

My last round was 1/4/2025 and the course was in good shape. The greens are very nice and they’ve now opened up the hole on the back nine that was under repair.

The driving range has shot trackers for each station, which is a nice bonus. The music playlist out there leaves a lot to be desired and the speakers are old and the music is often too loud and distorted. The driving range mats really need to be replaced.

The pitching and bunker practice areas are helpful.

I come here to play golf and don’t spend a lot of time at the driving range, but it could use some attention.

The course is playing in great shape! The Player’s Card provides unbelievable value with discounted rates to play this course. We were pleasantly surprised to see that their golf carts had been updated from previous years with GPS…..so good!
