We used to love coming here however my daughter quickly became bored with the repetitive activities. We made the decision to pull her because her instructor, Lily, left my child in tears. In the dynamite class they give stamps at the end of class basically for showing up. However her instructor singled her out and denied her a stamp without explanation. My husband called and asked for an explanation because she had been participating and showing improvement. The instructor became defensive alleging that she was endangering herself and misbehaving, which contradicted our observations. She also added that my child allegedly got back onto the equipment when everyone was done. However, that is also false since she had left because of the incident. It's disappointing they singled out our child instead of addressing the issue fairly. We hope they can improve for other kids' sake.

Here's the thing...it's "fine". It's safe. It's clean. It's big enough. The team program seems solid.
If you are looking for beginning levels, or recreational gymnastics, I'd look elsewhere. I say this with kindness, honestly, as we haven't had a "bad" experience...but it's seriously lacking in professional development. I coached all through high school and college, so I definitely don't have a problem with young coaches, but these coaches don't really...coach. Over a year of classes and my daughters cartwheels look the same. She doesn't know basic body positions. She's had probably 7 coaches in a one year span. There's VERY little hands on instruction, and only marginally more verbal. I don't believe anyone outside of the team coaches are USAG certified, and it doesn't seem like they're given any direction beyond...you have an hour, go entertain these kids.
I don't expect my daughter to be an olympian, and honestly with my years of experience as a gymnast and coach I can tell you this isn't going to be her "thing", but it would be nice to see SOME progression, or even skill knowledge increase. She's learned more from me in our living room than she has at this gym in the last year+.
If it weren't for the VERY short commute, and lack of access to other facilities in the immediate area, we wouldn't hesitate to go elsewhere.
I had high hopes when the ownership changed, but I haven't seen much improvement in the recreational arena.

If you sign up for a summer class but realize it won’t actually work with your schedule they will insist on charging you for a month of classes, even if you cancel before the classes actually start and even if the class wasn’t full and you weren’t preventing anyone else for registering. That’s not good business. We won’t be back when we originally planned to just take the summer off and come back in the fall.

Tried for weeks to get private lessons set up after Skye said she was no longer going to be coaching, imagine my surprise to see her on their Facebook page as coach of the month for June. Even after being told that the price for lessons would be going up and I agreed to pay the increase they still never got back to me after weeks of me reaching out. Unprofessional liars. If you want your children to learn to have a complete lack of integrity, this is the place for you.

My toddler had her first class this week. The class was so cute and age appropriate. She loved every minute of it. The coaches were also so engaging and kind. She was comfortable almost immediately. Excited to keep attending and watch her improve and make friends ❀️

My five year old son had his first class here, absolutely loved it. Much better than a previous experience we had at another facility. There were two coaches for about five kids. They did a great job of keeping all the kids engaged and making all the activities fun. It's was a great intro class for a child without previous gymnastics experience.

After being at a horrible gym, this place immediately felt like home.
On our daughters first day she fell back in love with gymnastics and now after one year of being here we couldn't be happier! The staff is amazing and knowledgeable and works as a team, if one coach is better at something or they have a different idea that could help they will switch for a day. The cost is significantly less than what we paid to compete prior and they have beautiful team gear. They focus on quality not quantity and while their classes are growing they are bringing in new experianced coaches to keep up with the growth. My daughter went from being overwhelmed and discouraged to having confidence and moving to the top of the pack while still being challenged. I honestly cant say enough about how amazing they are!! Come try a class here and you will see for yourself what a fantastic gym is like! πŸ’—πŸ˜Š

We had our daughter in AG for 2 years 7-9 years old. It was pretty good until she wanted to compete. They placed her into Excel Silver, and then kept bumping around from Silver to Bronze. She was being coached by a young girls barely turning 18. There was other group of Excel Gold who were coached by experienced coach, and they were positioned as really advanced. It was a surprise when during competition all β€œGold” girls were placed into Silver level to compete at the same level as our daughter! Of course she could not stack up to them! It devastated her! Moreover, during one meet she got highest score from the whole team on her floor routine, and coach changed her routine before very next meet! She simplified it! Plus, change of routine after months of practicing totally confused her. The last straw was when we realized our daughter is not just being held back, but also being ridiculed. We discussed with coach Kris how our daughter is doing with directions (what 9-year-old is great at following directions?!) and coach Kris laughed and said: β€œ Yeah, she is having hard time, we are calling her Dori” referring to a stupid fish from Finding Nemo. We were shocked. We are paying these people to teach our daughter gymnastics, and they laugh at her. Mind me, she is average child, no developmental delays or disabilities. We couldn’t imagine what would they say about a child with a serious problem! It was a last straw, after last meet that season she did not step into that joint. There are plenty of other gyms in the area to support these kind of people.

I went here for 6 months and I'm that 6 months I learned my back hand spring,my kip, and a front hip circle , etc etc! I went from excel to jr olympics in just 6 months. The only reason why I left is because I moved states. I am moving back to Idaho now and I am going back to AG I love that place so much and the staff is great!😊😘

So far our experience with Advanced Gymnastics has been great. Reasonable price and quality coaches. My daughter is 4 and has had 2 sessions so far. Only place that offered evening classes that would work around our work schedule. She is having a blast and keeps asking every day if it's 'gymnastics day'!
