I can’t say enough good things about this studio. I spent five years just thinking about trying ballet, and now I’m almost two years in—I wish I’d started sooner! This experience has been humbling, challenging, and more rewarding than I ever expected. ❤️

My daughter started the teen hiphop class in the middle of the spring season. She loves her class, the staff and her instructor. I absolutely love this dance studio and the energy! I used to dance in my younger years and always wanted to come back, but was always afraid to all of the instructors and staff make this studio feel like such a warm welcoming environment where anybody can come to learn. Joining Illusion Dance Studios has been a life changing experience! I started their Adult Ballet classes at the age of 24. I was so nervous initially, because I felt like I was too old for ballet ,and I have a chronic pain disease that has held me back from a lot of my aspirations. From the very moment I stepped into their studio, I was welcomed with open arms like I had been apart of their community for my whole life. When I started there, I was so shy and I didn't have much confidence. Now, nearly a year later, I have gained so much confidence in myself and I can even say my health has gotten so much better. Joining this studio was one of the best things I ever did for myself. I've made so many wonderful friends, accomplished so much, and I stood up to my disease and proved to myself that I CAN do it. None of this growth would've been possible without the support and kindness of my friends at Illusion. Everyone is always so encouraging and uplifting, and no matter what you may think about yourself, they believe you're enough. It's been a wonderful experience to attend classes here and it's almost a second home to me now!
If you feel like you're too old to start dancing, you're absolutely wrong, and let the diversity of people at Illusion prove it to you.

As an adult, I wanted to get back into dance (specifically ballet). I was really intimidated by the thought of going to a dance class after almost 20 years. The instructors and fellow dancers at Illusion made me feel comfortable and confident the second I walked into the studio. Starting ballet again has been the most rewarding thing I've done for myself since becoming a mother. The studio is always clean. They have nice bathrooms and changing rooms. As well as a room that I feel comfortable leaving my 10-year-old to sit while I am in class. (no childcare, but safe place for older kids that can be left alone.)

Our experience with our 4 year old daughter has been great! 8 weeks in and she has already grown so much, and she’s able to follow a choreography with no prior dance experience before this. Signed my daughter up for this dance year, and she absolutely loves it. She is in the 3 year old ballet/acro class with Miss Mary as her instructor. She is so patient and good with this age group.

They have a sitting room with tv screens that show what is going on in the studios during their class. They have change rooms, and bathrooms. Plus a cash/card accepted vending machine with drinks and snacks.

The first month there is an admin fee, and then a monthly fee after that. We received dance shoes, tights, and a leotard with that first fee.

There is also a Christmas recital. They gave ample notice and notification of the additional cost. And this included the sweetest costume in that cost.

Out of all the dance studios I have been to, this one is one in a million! I have never seen a studio that is so focused on always helping the dancers grow and progress. Jenny is so kind, creative and enthusiastic about sharing her love of dance and helping the dancers not only progress in their dance technique but also in helping them learn valuable life skills. When I decided to take my first dance class at 45, I was scared beyond belief. I found Illusion when I was looking for adult Ballet classes and decided to give them a try when I read how wonderful the reviews were. My daughters were in classes at another studio, but because they didn't have adult classes, I had to look elsewhere for myself. After just 1 class at Illusion, I called the next day to enroll both of my daughters, to switch them from their current studio to Illusion. The other studio that they were at couldn't even begin to compete with Illusion! The studio itself, the staff, everything is just top notch. It's more expensive, yes, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Illusion is a high quality dance studio with wonderful teachers and staff. As an adult, the program is wonderful. I never feel silly or too old to be dancing. I've made wonderful friends and look forward to class every single week. Both of my girls and myself are so happy, we plan on dancing with Illusion for a very long time!

I'm heavier than most and was nervous at first about being judged but man was I wrong, the women in my classes were either getting back into dance, just there for pure fun and starting from scratch. All shapes and sizes and really great teachers. They help you when you first go to decide what level class works best! But don't get me wrong, these classes will push you, bring you pure joy as you see yourself accel more and more every week, and help with stamina and agility. Owner of the studio, Jenny, was my Varsity Dance Team coach my freshman year and she was a hell of a coach. She knows it all and has so much experience I wasn't surprised that the new dance studio off Caldwell Blvd was hers! You will not be disappointed. Every teacher I had was experienced, knew and taught proper ballet/jazz terminology and had lots of skill with choreography that is both fun and challenging. So if you have a passion for dance already or just want to learn from scratch, ILLUSION IS THE PLACE TO GO.

If I could give a zero star I would. Let start with the 100 dollars off if you sign up right now. $199 per child to sign up. To the next parents out there don't feel pressured this is a tactic they use. Then before you know if your being told all the extras you will be paying for. When you decide its not going to be a good fit they will ghost you, oh dont worry Hailey will give you a call tomorrow..... still waiting on that call. You will be harrassed by their billing department via, text emails, as well as late fees added to your account 2 weeks after you stated you would no longer be attending. But crickets from anyone from the studio getting back to you in a timely fashion. I did cheer growing up and I’ve missed doing something like that and I’ve always wanted to get back into some kind of dance as an adult but at 36 I was a little nervous and intimidated by it. In January I finally decided just to try it out and I’m so glad I did. I’m currently doing the Adult Jazz 1 and it’s so much fun! I look forward to class every week and I’m excited that us adults get the option to perform in their year end recital. Only thing I could say on the negative side is that it is overwhelmingly busy when we are there at 4pm. Nowhere to sit, maybe putting a row of chairs in the hallway too? Or redoing the waiting area so there is more seating.
But that's the ONLY issue. You all are wonderful!

This is an amazing studio, I bring my kiddo here. I was worried in the begining because my kiddo had not socialized because of Covid. However this was the best decision I made to enroll her here. She is so social now and continues to come out her shell. She learns different skills from being a good citizen to leadership which has helped her alot. Staff is amazing the owner is also amazing and kind. Ms Jenny always has an open line of communication and transparency with us as parents. She always ask how are kiddos are doing and recognizes each kiddo that comes in. Honestly if you are looking for a great dance studio this is the place you will get that and more.

I reached out through email to ask about classes and pricing. I wanted to make sure it was in our budget since I would be splitting the cost. When I asked for pricing I was told about the two week class they offer to see if you like the studio. I said that sounded great but asked for pricing of the classes because I did not want to do a two week class and then find out it’s more expensive then the other studios I found. I was told that they couldn’t even give me a pricing because of the different classes they offer. When I asked for a price range and schedule I no longer got a reply. I am kind of disappointed because I feel like you are baited to come to the school and then figure out it’s way too pricy.

We have tried several other studios locally and Illusion Dance stands out so much! 1) they are attentive and get right back to you, they communicate well what’s going on and they are always helpful! 2) the teachers are kind and caring and my girls love them! I have never taken dance lessons before. I was a bit skeptical at first, but everyone was so welcoming. MJ and Esperanza are so patient with me as a beginner and I am learning so much from them. I have been a dancer most of my life and I can say with 100% confidence that this studio is one of the best I've been to. My 3 yr old is in the Ballet/Acro combo class and I am in their Intermediate Jazz class. All the instructors and owner care so much about all the students AND families that come along with the students. I attended this studio for a year. I am a mom of 4 kids, however, none of my kids went there. Just me! I love to dance, especially ballet, but I haven’t done it since I was 12. I went every week from 7:30-9, and if I ever missed, they encouraged me to make it up on another day, if I ever wanted or needed to. Jenny Hyer, who owns the studio, is very flexible in payment and commitment. Do not believe those (1 person) who gave a bad review. Jenny’s very understanding, and she is going through this pandemic like the rest of us. When we couldn’t go because of quarantine and cases were rising, she set up a way for us to still have our classes through Zoom. The staff here have helped her to really come out of her shell and help her bloom with their patient and encouraging approach. She loves and looks forward to going to dance every single week, and I am so grateful we found them!
