Love the new cardio machines. Great upgrade. The elipitcals are slightly tricky. Think of them as e-bikes. You need to pedal fast to turn it on and then keep pedaling in order to select a program or just hit go for manual. Love that theres more stair masters.

Nate, the Assistant Manager of the Chubbuck Planet Fitness, went above and beyond to help me resolve some billing errors. He was patient and kind throughout the process. He helped me through every step. He didn’t just pass me off to the billing department or wish me luck but doggedly worked every aspect of the problem until it was resolved. Gym is fine.Trainer is a danger, I did a day pass and asked for some lifting/form advice, began following instructions from Reese, and was almost immediately corrected by a guy saying that my form was going to lead to a back injury. I followed up with another employee who confirmed the trainer here does not know what she’s doing. please train HER better so nobody else is at risk.

I’ve always liked this gym— it’s clean, well-equipped, and a solid place to work out. But what truly makes it stand out is Emily.
She’s the kindest, most positive person and always greets everyone with a big smile. Just seeing her lifts your mood instantly. She makes the gym feel so welcoming and goes above and beyond every day.
To anyone in management that might see this, Emily absolutely deserves a promotion. No clue what she is paid but whatever it is, she deserves more! Planet Fitness is lucky to have an employee like her.

This planet fitness is super spacious. Plenty of room for mats & all the machines work as they should. The black card space is HUGE! The locker room is well laid out and the shower was hot. You can tell they’ve put a lot of care into making the facility look nice inside and out.

My only complaint is the parking lot design & PF entrance. From the highway it looks like the entrance is on the other side. It’s a totally awkward use of parking space. The entire entrance and parking lot could use a redesign.

Water for showers is the coldest of any P.F
I have been too.
I've been to multiple Nationwide as I travel I use them for showers only. It won't turn up the hot water heater at all. And when it gets warm literally, if somebody flushes the toilet watch out it gets hot and it goes right back to cold

All kinds of empty treadmills, but the cable machines, benches, Smith machines, etc. are always overcrowded. Not enough weight plates, so people scavenge them to other stations. Towel dispensers are often empty. Limited hours on weekends.

I really enjoy planet fitness! I wish they Olympic free weights. But they do have a Large number of decent machines! A few very good ones as well. The places are always clean, except a lil dust. I travel for work so I've visited quite a few locations, the locker rooms are always in good condition no funky smells in the shower and the water is always hot, well let it warm up first. All in all the staff is friendly nice establishment and a great environment to begin your fitness journey!!

I like Planet Fitness a lot, particularly the different options and variety of equipment, the layout, and most definitely the massage chairs, HOWEVER my husband and I are SUPER frustrated by the huge amount of people misusing the circuit as it's intended. We REALLY like using the circuit (as it's intended), but more often than not, cannot complete it or use it at all due to SO MANY people just sitting on the different machines, or coming in and using machines at random, and not following the directions to move from one thing to another as the lights change. We would really like for there to be a clear sign at the entrance to the circuit explaining what it's actually for and to be respectful of the people who come to use it as its intended, AND have staff monitoring the use of the circuit so that IF and WHEN people are misusing it and interfering with those who DO want to use it as intended, they can be redirected by staff.

I love this gym! I came from golds, and there's a lot more that i like about planet (although i definitely miss the Olympic weights, but it's fine.) one complaint that i do have though, is that its always hot at the chubbuck planet fitness and it kills my motivation to go sometimes, especially in the summertime in 100+ degree weather.

If you are into cardio, this is your place. Seems strange to me that planet fitness as a whole hasn't realized the transition to weight training in the fitness world and removed some cardio stuff and add in more weight training equipment. Planet fitness has a person that works for them that in my opinion, I would call an all out racist based on her actions towards me, my wife and my two teenagers. We tried to go in to workout today and was turned away. The racist told me that her name is “ Kyra” and is supposedly the assistant manager. We have been coming here for at least 3 years with our black card memberships and never have issues bringing in guests. And what a huge inconvenience to download a barcode for every guest I bring in. I have brought coworkers and friends that ended up getting their own memberships in the past which is more business for planet fitness. I can’t imagine the inconvenience and annoyance of downloading a freaking barcode every time I bring someone. But, today my wife and I went in with our two teenagers, who we have brought in dozens of times, “Kyra” , who we have never seen there before, saw us, ran over to us and told us that we couldn’t go in until we downloaded some guest barcodes for our kids to keep a better eye on how many people were in there, and I do understand that, but my wife did ask if it was ok to do it afterward because, it was obvious that our membership plan allows us to bring guests and secondly, no one there has asked us to do this before in 3 years except for “ Kyra”, today. She was also questioning my teenagers’ ages when I have actually seen people come in with small children and actually worked out with them. Could it be because I’m black and my wife is Hispanic? It just felt strange. We were there to work out, not do paperwork. We grabbed a seat and started doing what she asked, and my wife was able to download one but struggled with the second one because she can see that “Kyra” turned her back on us and was whispering and snickering with her coworker, which was when we decided to leave. Apparently , we couldn’t go in until this barcode was downloaded. Even though I believed that her behavior was racially motivated, I tried to give her the benefit of doubt, which is why we sat in the parking lot for another hour after the incident to find out if anyone else that came out with a guest went through the same situation as us. And in that hour I managed to talk to 2 different members that brought guest and as you can guess, the two people were white and Tod us that hey have never been stopped and questioned about their guest as long as they have been members and definitely were not harassed by “Kyra” to. In they told us that “ Kyra” was very warm to them. It just felt like “Kyra” was trying to purposely frustrate us because I am black and unfortunately in my 42 years of life, it is sad to say that I have dealt with people like her over the years especially being an OTR truck driver for the past 15 years, you kinda see bigots like “Kyra” coming from a mile away. If she would have been genuine, I believe that she would have come over to the table, which was a few feet from where she was and assisted us, instead of turning her back and snickering like she was enjoying our frustration. I do understand that this is a franchise, which usually mean that if the owner has the same beliefs as the ignorant employee, nothing gets done, so I do plan on taking this as far as I possibly can because this type of behavior is getting out of hand. “ Judgement free Zone” can not be made possible when you have bigots working at a great franchise like Planet fitness. I tried and couldn’t get a hold of corporate tonight, but I will dedicate every free time I have trying reach someone from corporate.

Absolutely horrible trainer, Mathew will ask if you have health issues. Don't say yes, because Mathew will use that as a reason for why he's not able to help you. Then he'll say he needs a doctor's note. Absolutely lazy staff, corporate can not be reached at either number listed for them if you can go to Golds gym l highly recommend you do. If you are over weight they discriminate, who is the gym for? Weight trainers only apparently and yes l will email you corporate.

This is the only gym in America with a water fountain that only produces warm water. This has been going on for months. It’s probably cause they want you to buy water out of their fridge. I highly recommend not going there if you ever get thirsty while working out- unless you like hot water.

It was ok at first but now after a couple years things are falling apart and the men’s restroom regularly has one toilet full of Dookie and doesn’t flush. There are machines that have sat with out of order signs for over two months now. Yes, the leg curl machine has been broken all summer. Also they give free summer passes to students who come in groups and will spend hours sitting on equipment that they are not using.
The price is good and there are times with very few people but it has been better and could be so much better.

I've been reporting the disgusting condition of the women's locker room to the club employees, including the manager himself, for several weeks, and my words have fallen on deaf ears. Some of the pics show a trash can (including bloody tampon) that hasn't been emptied in at least 8 weeks. It only got emptied when I took it to the front desk and handed it to the manager personally. They should give the hairball a name and make it the club mascot at this point.

I really like PF in general, for its price, convenience, and let’s face it - the massage chairs, but am so frustrated lately with others not using the circuit as intended. In my experience, so many people “camp out” on a single machine for a long time, interrupting the flow of the circuit for those of us that want to do it as intended. This unfortunately seems to have become the norm rather than the exception. There are soooo many individual machines out on the main floor that I don’t understand why these people don’t use those instead. I wish the employees of PF would monitor the use of the circuit and correct this behavior, as there are usually several employees hanging out behind the counter up front. The circuit is one of my favorite things to do at PF, so I’d really appreciate if this problem is addressed. I know I’m not the only one frustrated with this particular issue, as several others that I’ve talked to feel the same.

When you walk in, the men in the lobby are too busy on their phones or playing games on the computer and don't greet you. All they do is hangout while the bathrooms and changing stalls are always dirty. This gym has really gone downhill after the previous manager Cameron left. It's time the person that monitors these reviews reach out to the current manager rather than just offer insincere apologies and stop disregarding serious concerns by members of this gym that keep it operating and keeps the workers employed.

I have never felt so welcomed at a gym before! I signed up for a class to learn more and eventually did the “Build your own program” with Matthew. He asked me questions to understand my previous fitness level and built me a program that is not so overwhelming as a beginner. Planet fitness is horrible in the billing department. They say “only $10 a month” but in reality you pay a start up fee and an annual fee. That is not $10 a month. I called the day it came out of my account to cancel my membership and they said it couldn’t be refunded because we didn’t call by the tenth of the previous month. But you can clearly see that I had not been there all month. Would give this place 0 stars if I could. They just want your money.
