I’ve always loved dancing. Watching people dance, move, loose themselves in it - always made me a little envy, jealous of them. I tried couple of different dance schools in the area - to be honest did not like them, for different reasons. So signing up for Academie de danse was not an easy decision. I’m fortunate to know owner Ania Cichocka for a while - and I think that definitely her personality makes the huge differences there and sets the appropriate tone for the team and for the participants. Me and my partner felt welcomed, accepted like everybody else regardless where you come from and what’s your level of “dancing skills”. Presenting the plan in the beginning for the whole 8 weeks period was very helpful. As opposed to other places where they “squeezed” different dances in one lesson, here you practice one dance at a time. Focusing on repetition, practice, not perfection was the right choice. The warm up before each class, repeating what we’ve learned so far in the beginning of each class - were absolutely amazing. The last class summarized everything. A great feeling of “good to go” was definitely there. There was also the time and place to learn “tricks and moves” on how to enjoy dances at the casual parties with friends and family, not only the classical ones. Great patience with teaching was there too. The whole atmosphere of the place - as mentioned earlier, but I cannot emphasize it enough though - the tone set by the owner and a team - makes you feel welcomed, appreciated and ready to learn. Even if it was late on weekend day, or after busy day at work during the week - we still enjoyed it. The options of doing the group classes, but also individual practices were available. And kids…. seeing kids there different ages, all smiling, trying to do their best, but at the same time really enjoying it…. I think in the end you leave the class, with better dancing skills, but also eager to learn more, all with positive - “can do “ feeling. No wonder they are growing, no wonder they are number # 1 ! See you all at the floor next time at Academie de danse - the “advanced classes” this time for me…I’m very thankful for that.

We went to inquire about the dance class for our daughter and they didn’t opened the door. There were 2 lady in the premises and told me that I need to call my owner. We waited almost 10 minutes in the car and there is no response from 2 ladies. I would recommend not to go to this place and very expensive.

Ania is such an amazing dance instructor! She taught our first dance for the wedding reception, which was so beautiful. She made sure we were comfortable with every move and had so much patience with us. On your last lesson you meet her at your venue so she can help plan out the direction and cues with you for your dance. Very very beneficial that she offers this! I highly recommend her and her team for your dance needs!

I cannot recommend Anna enough.. she is amazing. I took lessons with my husband for our first dance, as well as my dad for our father daughter dance. I had ZERO dance experience besides fist pumping at the club back in the day haha. My husband and dad also had zero dance experience. Some how she managed to teach me the two dances. She took her time and was patient, and created a dance routine that would be beautiful but doable for us. Never in my life did I think we could pull off a dance like that. Thank you Aniu <3

Academie de Danse is a studio with great heart and passion. This studio is truly a place that shows kids that they can achieve anything they set their mind to. My kids absolutely love going to their dance classes. The teachers and the owner are so kind, fully committed and truly give their whole heart to teach the kids. I wholeheartedly recommend this dance studio.

We took dancing lessons because my (now) husband and I were not best dancers and wanted to surprise our parents with some kind of dance routine for our first dance. w
We knew they would just expect us to sway back and forth, and we wanted to learn. Omg, our expectations were surpassed with Ania (our dancing instructor). She is THE best in the entire Chicago land area, and we would not want anyone else. Super friendly and made us feel really comfortable at first sight! I never thought we’d be able to do what we did our there on that dance floor! Majority of our guests we’re very emotional after our dance and it brought tears in their eyes. Even the banquet hall owner was touched by our dance routine. Highly highly recommend. There is absolutely no one better.

It was the best experience and dream come true for our first dance!!! Anna personalized our dance routine with full heart and commitment in such a challenging time frame less than month before our wedding. Anna took her time to teach us choreography with maximum attention to details. She is very creative, knowledgeable, patient, and full of positive energy that is very contagious. The final rehearsal was at our banquet hall which was extremely helpful and made a huge difference in our first dance performance. There is not enough words to describe our experience with Anna. Two months prior to our wedding we decided to give dance lessons a shot. Never in our lives did we think we could pull off a dance like this! All thanks to our amazing dance instructor Anna! We not only gained some great moves but also a great friend in the process. Highly recommend!

Anna - Thank you for the late night sessions, endless laughter after a rough day, your “it’s okay” moments when it felt impossible and a relaxing yoga class when we arrived at the wrong time. 2 weeks later our family and friends are still talking about us taking the dance floor!

As a mother of the student I have seen my child walk out and be so confident with herself. She goes in the studio ecstatic to be there with her teachers and peers. Ania was a fantastic dance instructor for our first dance at our wedding! We had only about a month before our wedding to learn a dance and Ania did a fantastic job teaching us the choreography while also being able to match our ability. Everyone was so impressed with our dance that they cannot stop talking about it to this day. I’ve been dancing with Acadamie De Danse for about 3 years and I’ve known the owner since I was 7. This studio has such an amazing environment. Everything about this studio is family friendly and that’s because they are a family. It’s very affordable and not at all overpriced. My future husband felt hopless on the dancing floor. No rythm whatsoever 🙈 but right after first dance session with Ms.Anna my partner was confident on his ability to lead on our first wedding dance and he was right. Our first dance was smooth and magical .
