Unfortunately, our experience with AMA has been very disappointing. We needed to withdraw my daughter due to school and family commitments, but AMA has a strict no-drop policy for an entire year and continues to charge us even though she can no longer attend. This policy feels unreasonable for families whose circumstances change.

On top of that, after 10 months of classes, we have not seen any meaningful improvement in our daughter’s skills. For the amount of money we’ve paid, we expected better communication, flexibility, and visible progress.

I would not recommend AMA to parents who need a program with fair policies and real developmental growth for their child.

We had been looking for the right dance school for a long time and finally found AMA Dancing School for our 3-year-old daughter. She absolutely loves her teacher and is always excited to go to class. They offer so many fun activities and events, and Layla even participated in her very first recital this year—everything was so well-organized and enjoyable! It truly feels like a caring community that values the kids, not just money, which is rare to find these days. We highly recommend AMA and are excited to continue our journey with them!

From our initial tour to almost exactly a year later, we have felt the community, passion, and care of Miss Ann Marie and the AMA staff. My daughter feels a sense of belonging with her dance classmates as well as the larger AMA community, due to the recitals and various events. The atmosphere, across programs, is filled with encouragement & structure and focused on growth & building self-esteem. We could not be more thankful to be part of this family!

AMA Dance Studio has exceeded our expectations in so many ways! They really focus on building character and confidence in the kiddos. The dedication, love, and thoughtfulness of the instructors, especially Mr. Dillon, create a warm and inviting atmosphere. All the staff are fantastic. The owner, Anne Marie, is amazing --passionate, caring, and a true steward of the community.

I appreciate the convenient two-way mirrors so parents can watch practice without being a distraction. The recitals are memorable and showcase the incredible progress of the students.

AMA offers a variety of programs and dance and music classes for all ages, including adults. We are immensely grateful for the confidence and camaraderie the studio has instilled in our girls. AMA Dance Studio is a fantastic place for children to learn, grow, and shine!

I have been at AMA since the day it opened and have enjoyed the many years of classes I've taken. My daughter also attended classes for several years. The instructors are great. The amazing culture makes you feel welcome. As an adult it's a fun way to exercise and keep your brain active. I recommend AMA for children and adults.

My daughter has been going here for past 7 months and we already love it so much. She is so excited to attend the ballet/tap class and love her teachers there. She also participated in the recital and it was so good. I loved her performance on the stage. I would recommend everyone to give it a try for sure. This is our first time trying ballet class. The good part is not only dance but you feel like a part of a family. One thing what I appreciate a lot is - They keep parents involved and appreciate us on so many events. There are so many options here - they have events (2-3 hours) where you can drop your kid and then pick them later. I have started attending all of them and my daughter loves it. They also have summer camp options.

I would recommend all parents to for sure give it a try. You would love it.

AMA academy of performing Arts, you are the best! Can’t think of a better place to have my kids grow their talents, enjoy their time and make new friends. Beware of the “no drop policy” when you sign up for the classes at AMA!
We liked this studio and I thought they truly cared about the families they work with. But after winter recital I discussed our schedule issues and asked for other classes that would work better for our family. Never got a call back. So I found a different place, closer to our neighborhood. AMA Academy of Performing Arts keeps charging us monthly payments and costume charges even though our child does not attend this studio anymore. I don’t think it’s fair. Especially if the family moves farther from the area or has other valid reasons for dropping the class. Do not recommend this place.

Love love love this dance studio. Anne Marie and her team really care for the kids and truly have passion for what they do. They actually watch over them as if they are their own. Welcoming and accommodating. We are new here and so happy this studio is in my community and close to home. My daughter is 5 and I'll be bringing my second little one when she turns 2!

If I could give AMA 10 stars I would! This dance company offers lots of fun opportunities for all ages. Miss Ann Marie was my dance teacher when i was 5 years old(many moons ago). Now my daughter who has been at AMA since she was 3 gets to dance with Miss Ann Marie too! We do ballet and tumbling classes. We absolutely loved their 2 week dance and art summer camp. Highly recommend this company!

Do you need to smile? I highly recommend an adult tap classes!! It is impossible to have a bad time tapping! Ann Marie is a great teacher. Tapping is great for your body and your brain. Come on out of your covid cave, get moving and have a great time! She is also running a safe and respectful covid business. I can't recommend it enough! I hope to see you soon!

My daughter took Music Fun Time classes here since age 2, and has now progressed to private piano lessons. When I dropped her off for her lesson this week she literally said "I love this place. It's so exciting, you never know what you're going to learn!" I agree. Miss Ann Marie does an excellent job engaging and motivating the students, and she communicates so well with the parents too. She's also done an amazing job adapting to Covid protocols. AMA is a great asset to our community!

Our family loves AMA! My son takes dance and tumbling and thoroughly enjoys every class. He's grown so much in his skills since he started. I take adult tap and it's a blast! Helps keep the mind sharp and is great exercise. All of the staff is kind and caring. They come up with creative ways to make every student feel special! Super clean and they have done everything right since COVID. They were able to safely host their Holiday show virtually which everyone loved, they allowed the immediate family into the room for the performance in small safe groups. It was incredible. This is a private dance studio that goes above and beyond! Miss Ann Marie and Kendall are awesome. They have a wonderful music program as well as dance program

We have been a part of AMA for 4 years now, it’s an AMAzing school!! They offer so many classes for different ages and they really go out of their way and make every student feel special (they have cute awards at the end of the year for every student in the class which I love).My daughter loves her classes and always comes home so excited! If someone told me at age 30 I would start taking tap class, I NEVER would have believed them. One year later, it is what I look forward to most in my week.
I will forever be grateful to Ann Marie for adapting SO quickly to everything 2020 threw her way. Not only does she provide a safe and happy environment for all of her students, young and old. But she did everything to make sure our weekly classes happened, without interruption, throughout all of 2020. Virtual or in person, I leave each week with a big smile on my face. I want my 200 dollars refunded ! When is the recital and where is my costume??? Dissapointed ! Due to COVID 19, the owner would not give me a refund for the 200 i had paid a week earlier ( march 5th) for < recital $120 and costume $80 ..... ( on top of the hundreds of dollars i paid in registration and monthly tuition only 3 months earlier !!! Yes we had only started in January and March 15th when this happened the owner suggested my daughter had a sponsorship afterwards for april and may saying other people are paying for it ? Oh by other parents for the next two months ( obviously just pocketing money given during donations for covid by rich park ridge parents as donations for her business which IMO she does not need ) and has not given me the costume I've paid for as promised. Will be reporting her practices with the BBB this is not okay... btw this business has recieved sba loans so what gives ? Yes i checked

IMO do not come to this place unless your ready to get screwed and have a fat check book...

The greatest dance school around! All of the teachers, staff, and performers care for one another as they would their own family. The owner takes her time with each family, getting to know them and listens to all of their concerns. We've never felt more welcome at an extra curricular activity. My daughters love their dance teachers and the friends they have made. And now they do it all virtually which they perfectly transitioned to in snap.
