Came back because there is new ownership of this location. In comparison to the other AF in the area, their equipment feels a bit older. Will be coming back here more though, as it's closer to my house.

I got to use the sauna. The sauna they have is one of the nicer ones I've used compared to other saunas. It was nice and individual, and I could hook up my Bluetooth to it, which meant I didn't need my phone or headphones inside with me.

It's nice that there's a location out in Lakemoor, but it could use some work, particularly the bath/shower rooms. I understand they're remodeling, which is good, because these rooms are in pretty rough shape. It would be great to see the doors replaced, as they feel a bit warped, and the specific handles they use make it difficult to tell from the inside whether they're locked or not. It would also be great to get the stalls replaced, or even redone with something custom instead of prefab. A towel rod and a shelf would also be great. Looking forward to seeing this place improve!

The Anytime Fitness gym in Lakemoor is very clean, well equipped, and is managed by Ken. Ken takes the time to get to know you as a person and is very courteous. Members here are friendly. Trystan is a personal trainer there who provides excellent guidance and service.

I’ve been going here for the past year and a half. When I first starting going here it was nice pretty clean but after the one manger brian left it just went downhill. I never saw any manger here and it was starting to look like the place hasent been cleaned in weeks. just recently a new owner has bought out the place and i have to say in my opinion this is the best gym around. the owner cares about their members very friendly just remolded the whole place very clean now all new paint vending machine all new supplements. I have to also say the new manger that i just met the other day is one of the nicest people ive met always cleaning and talking to members very friendly and around very often i’d have to give this gym a 5 star better than any gym i ever been in and better yet the members are very friendly and ive met very nice people here definitely would recommend.

HARASSED BY OWNER. I don’t feel safe going to this location anymore and I am filing a formal complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General. The owner, Randy, harasses paying members who leave negative feedback about this location. I received a request to take a survey about the Lakemoor location from the Anytime Fitness brand. Almost all of what I had to say was negative, but not at all untrue, disrespectful, or rude. A few days later I received an email directly from Randy, the owner, because he felt my feedback (which was requested of me and not made public) was “insulting” and considered it “disrespectful”. He stated in these emails that I should “find another location to go to” and that I shouldn’t bother contacting corporate about his harassment because “we don’t tolerate disrespectful behavior”. I’ve contacted corporate about this. Multiple employees agreed that he is way out of line and that Randy should cancel my membership/contract without any further fees or charges. Randy refuses to do so, even when corporate told him he should. Corporate also agreed with all of the comments I made about the Lakemoor location being poorly maintained and generally neglected. Corporate even told me that I’m the second member in less than six months to report Randy for harassment over negative feedback about his location. Apparently, corporate is now taking a closer look into his management style and are likely going to penalize him for non-compliance.

I’ve been a regular gym goer here since I moved to the area about 2 years ago. Of all the anytime fitness’s I’ve gone to, this has got to be the worst. It’s only been up till now with recent bad reviews (I assume) that the bathrooms don’t smell like a sewer, there isn’t an inch of dust on the equipment, and there aren’t dead bugs everywhere. In 2 years, I’ve seen at least 3 managers come and go. There is no ownership here, much less staff. I myself go out of my way to wipe stuff down that I see dirty; somewhat organize dumbbells and equipment when I see it’s out of place because no one else will. One of the previous managers, Brian, was the only one who was ever present. I saw him talk to members, clean towels and bathrooms, vacuum and ever since he’s left, I have yet to see anyone else step up to do this. I come to this gym because it’s convenient, a 2 minute drive, and I was grandfathered into a cheap price because my original club was closed down. Otherwise, I’d be going somewhere else. I’ve worked in facilities maintenance/management for the past 4 years and a lot of this dirt/gunk is NOT from days/weeks. It’s MONTHS - YEARS

2023 - Terrible equipment, not sanitary at all, the treadmills will shut off if u have more than 4 going at a time... if you can even do that because most of the treadmills have cracks in them or just don't work at all. That doesn't stop them from charging you $39 for "equipment upgrades". The mirrors are cheap no decals on the walls, the lag bolts in the walls for the equipment just spin in the drywall. TERRIBLE

2024 - Look at that super professional response from the "owner". Yes, you sent the $177 to collections LOL. This has been disputed due to you, Randy, saying that you were going to "cancel my membership" and I can "go somewhere else". This is backed up by your signature of "Randy, Anytime Fitness" in the texts. I disputed this 6+months ago with screenshots of your texts with no response... must not be worth them 177 bones?

Do NOT sign a contract with this gym period. I signed up for a 6-week challenge back in May of 2022 for $199 with an option to continue at $40 per week. They started debiting my bank account $117 per WEEK. I had to request refunds on 4 occasions from the owner and finally had to close my bank account. I eventually quit the gym as they could not bill be me correctly. I am now receiving collection calls from their parent company. This is a 6-week challenge has turned into a 6-month nightmare.

Most of the cardio equipment is broken and it's obvious they don't do preventative maintenance on their equipment, even basic things like adjusting the feet so that the equipment doesn't wabble when you use it. All of the treadmills are on one circuit so the circuit breaks when they're all in use. The other day it happened when some employee or owner was there and she was more offended that her customer paid-for workout was just interrupted by 5 paying customers whose workout was just interrupted. They will cause a fire with their daisychain of power strips and corporate greed. They displace people who do not pay for PT (othering). The showers are not cleaned.

After writing this review, the owner e-mailed me telling me to remove my review. When I denied his request, he told me that I am in violation and is cancelling my membership.

I have been trying to cancel my membership for a over a YEAR now, they won’t return my voicemails or answer the phone during staffed hours! Called there customer service parent company to cancel and they said they can’t cancel the service only the location can... except I been trying to for a over a YEAR!! Impossible to get ahold of these people! My contract ended YEARS ago and I haven’t set foot in the building in years! But am still paying because they won’t contact me back. Dirtest Anytime Fitness I've ever been to. Free weights rack covered in dust. Weight equipment machinery worn out. Benches torn and oily. Seated calf raise machine broken and dangerous to use. Cardio equipment looks to be the only clean and decent equipment here.

Anytime Fitness is a great fitness and health club. I love the fact that it is private, and open 24 hours. My schedule makes the 24 hour availability work for me. I love getting a great late night workout, and feeling like I have the gym to myself. Even during the day the gym isn't too crowded so I am able to get in and do my workout and use the equipment that I wish to use.

This is a private club for members to access anytime, they have personal training available and also provide assistance if you contact them by phone or email. They offer a program called anytime health that gives you videos on how to do exercises and they also have a Q&A section you can ask a personal trainer and nutritionist for free advise.

The management is very helpful when you contact them and will work to resolve any issues. They sell memberships because they are a private club with safety and security as a priority, as a female I can appreciate that they do not have a revolving door of people coming month to month.

This club does say they focus on having fewer members, the studio room they have for semi private classes works well for the 5-9 people that take the classes provided.

They have been very helpful when I have had family in town to allow them in with me for free, they allow me to bring a guest to come to the club weekly, and they even give away memberships to military family members for short term use.

If you know what you are buying this is a great purchase.

I've been a member for one year and couldn't be happier with this gym. It is small but never crowded even on the weekends. The equipment is always in working order, the gym is always clean, towels always available, its open 24 hours, tanning beds are here but the tanning hours are limited. I'll continue to be a member since I'm only paying $39 per month.
