Aqua-tots is a great swim school. My 3 year old daughter really enjoys coming here and is looking forward to come for her classes. All the instructors are amazing, friendly and know how to interact with the kids. We have been coming here for 3 months already. My daughter become very comfortable around water, learned how to dive, turn and kick. They have classes different levels and class sizes are small, so each child gets attention. I highly recommend this school.

Flexible in schedules.not few, but most of the instructors are very kids friendly, which makes our lives easy to motivate kids.only thing needs to be improved is water temperature in washrooms as it runs cold for a long time .kids look forward for lollipops 🍭 so it's a great idea.highly recommend.
Update:I am blown away by the response of the owner. He personally called me and addressed my little concerns and -------RESOLVED.....woooww...love the fact that they own every little detail.highly recommend these safe hands for your children

Worst Experience Ever - Do Not Recommend!

I can’t even begin to describe how frustrating my experience at this swim school was. After enrolling my child in their program and spending TWO YEARS in an entry-level course, there was absolutely no progress. The school had constant turnover in instructors, which led to a lack of consistency and zero clear guidance on what my child needed to do to move up to any level beyond the entry course.

Despite the fact that we invested so much time, we never received any concrete goals or feedback on how to help my child progress. After finally scheduling a 1:1 evaluation lesson, they claimed my child did a great job and was even advanced in many skills. However, they still refused to move him to the next level, which made absolutely no sense.

To top it all off, when I tried to use my makeup days to continue the lessons and get him to the next level, they refused to accommodate it. Instead, they required me to make a special trip within a narrow 3-hour window to stop payments and disenroll, or they would continue charging me.

This school took zero accountability for their lack of progress and poor customer service. Save yourself the frustration and find a swim school that actually cares about your child’s development and treats you with respect.

Highly unprofessional, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Can’t say enough great things about Aqua Totes Wheaton! Our daughter has struggled with swim lessons for years. Particularly putting her face in the water. All of the coach have been amazing working with her but Coach Luke was the best! Aqua Tots is a great local swim school that has been recommended by many to us. We’ve been coming since our daughter was about 16 months old. The teachers have gotten better the longer we’ve stayed. Abbie has been a great swim instructor for our daughter for about 2 yrs. Abbie has helped our daughter gain the confidence and courage a young swimmer needs to learn. This place has been great! Have tried a few instructors here who have all been wonderful, and Abbie especially has been a favorite! Her enthusiasm and natural ability to ease even the most anxious of kids has been so instrumental to putting my 4 year old at ease. Both my 4 year old and 9 year old love her! My wife and I enrolled our 4 month old into the Aqua Tots swim school to get him comfortable with water. I didn't really know what to expect going in, except a lot of crying. This was not the case at all, Andie our swim instructor, was so gentle with our son and warming him up to having water on his head and face. Coach Abbie has been our child’s swim coach for about year, and I highly recommend her! Our daughter continually looks forward to swim lessons due to the positive impact Abbie has had coaching her. My husband and I have zero complaints and are so grateful to have Abbie as her swim coach! Abbie makes each class fun and safe — and patiently takes the time to help each child acclimate to the water. It took our daughter a bit a time to be comfortable jumping in the water — and Coach Abbie was very encouraging and helpful to help her achieve this. Overall pleasant experience with taking the Fast Track classes in the summer with a temp coach who was enthusiastic about really teaching and not just spending time in the pool.

Towards the end of the summer we got a negative preview of how the classes with the permanent staff would look like: a lot of yawning, looking at the watch, not teaching proper technique, not making any progress notes in the app, etc. etc. A couple of times my kid was finishing the lap and the coach would just get out of the pool and walk to the exit, without looking back to check if the student was done and out of the water. Most importantly, they don’t teach proper breathing and stroke technique.

We didn’t return to Aqua Tots for the regular classes. There won’t be any serious progress with swimming at this place. It is okay for little kids for getting used to being in the water and learning some basics and that’s it.

We are really happy with our experience here. My son used to be scared in the beginning and now he loves it and is excited about coming. Could not say enought great things about Aqua Tots Wheaton. I love that the teachers recognize what each child in group lessons needs to work on more than other the classmates.

My three old was terrified when he started, wouldn't even get in the pool. Coach Sam has been working in getting him more comfortable with being in thr water. He now wants to make the biggest splashes when he jumps in and so close to graduating to the next level. My 6 year old has always been a little mermaid.

Coach Sky recognized my daughter would sometimes get ahead of herself and need to be pulled back to think about the correct form to use and restart. She made sure to have her practice the skills she needed to improve on a few weeks leading up to graduating to level 6.

I love that even though these are group classes, the coaches work on what each child needs more practice on individually during the group class.

Our little guy had a bad experience at a different school and became afraid of lessons and would cry and not even want to go. Coaches Cat and Cole have been AMAZING in helping him get comfortable in the water again. He is finally excited for lessons and asks to go to swimming every day! Just in the two classes our son has been in, he's learned more than a whole session at our old place. They allow each kid to learn on their own pace and push them to want to do better and learn new things. We will enrolling our daughter when she is old enough. All of the coaches are very responsive to the kids and mine definitely needs that. The fact he feels comfortable with more than one coach is huge for us.

The instructors are able to break down the swim techniques into simplified steps which really seemed to help my kids progress. We tried other places, but didn't see progress like we did here. The BEST, we are SO thankful! When our daughter was 20 months old she fell into a pool, with several adults around, and was traumatized as well as all of us. Since then she has never wanted to do anything but put her feet in and we didn’t want to push her because of her past. But Aqua-Tots knew exactly how hard to push and challenge her. The first 3 lessons about ripped my heart out as she cried through the entire lesson and I wanted to rescue her so many times. But I trusted their expertise and it paid off! Since her 4th lesson she has LOVED it and talks about swimming lessons constantly. Our extended family cannot believe the change and now she’s enjoyed a whole summer being a 3 year old little fish!!! I've been so pleased with Aqua-Tots. The owner and front of house staff are incredibly friendly and flexible; they've been able to accommodate changes last minute and are always happy to help. My boys (4 and 7) had their confidence increase so much within the first few lessons that they are excited to practice the skills they've been learning. We did two fast tracks to catch them up to speed and also have weekly lessons. I'm so thrilled we joined!

Our son was terrified to put his head under water prior to coming to Aqua-Tots. We had tried swim lessons at the park district multiple times, but they never taught him how to hold his breath under water and they lost his trust because they told him they would catch him when he jumped in, but they didn't. They did it on purpose to get him over his fear, but that only made it worse. After that we knew we needed to try somewhere else. Aqua-Tots has been amazing in the fact that they teach kids how to hold their breath under water, they stress the importance of water safety, and they earned his trust. We never could imagine he would be swimming as good as he is now. We are so thankful for Aqua-Tots and all of the amazing instructors.

I am very disappointed in the quality of Aqua Tots service. The Aqua Tots management is disorganized, unprofessional, and unresponsive to customer requests. Aqua Tots is having a large turnover with swimming instructors, which impedes on a child's ability to learn to swim, thus a waste of money and time.

My son had a really hard time at first but he soon developed a relationship with the wonderful instructors and loved coming here after that.
