I randomly chose to try a class at Balance Yoga; I’d never taken a yoga class but wanted to feel better & regain flexibility. Literally after one class, I knew this studio was the right fit. Angie is dedicated to help her ‘tribe’ feel their best. All classes are personalized by ability. The studio has a fabulous ambiance - I hope you try it soon!

Angie is extremely knowledgeable with the anatomy and physiology behind your pain. She specializes in recognizing proper body alignment so that she can help you to fix whatever aches and pains you have going on, so that you can live your healthiest, most mobile life for as long as possible! We love her workshops, group classes, and private classes. Class sizes are intentionally small so that you get her full attention and expertise. She will gently guide you through stress-relieving meditations and breathing exercises, pain-relieving movements and stretches, and help you to learn the techniques so that you can go home able to practice what you've learned and keep up your progress in between classes. We trust Angie to help some of our most subluxated (misaligned) patients in order to compliment their chiropractic care to help them regain mobility and balance and stay as healthy as possible for as long as they can.

I went to Balance Yoga twice for the wall yoga class and really enjoyed it both times! I’ve taken a few different yoga classes before, and I noticed that Angie is different from other instructors. I always knew I had weak knees but never really understood why—until Angie told me I have hypermobility. No one had ever mentioned that to me before, and it honestly made everything so much clearer. She explains things in a way that’s easy to understand and pays close attention to how each person is moving, making sure to accommodate everyone. She never forces any movement, which I really appreciate. Her thoughtful approach makes a big difference—highly recommend!

I recently took a Spandana class with Angie at Balance Yoga, and WOW — what an incredible experience! From start to finish, it was pure magic. ✨

Angie’s calming presence and thoughtful guidance created such a safe, nurturing space. I felt completely grounded yet free to let go. The flow of movement, breathwork, and energy was so powerful — I genuinely felt all the tingles! 💫 It was like my whole body woke up and exhaled at the same time.

If you’re looking for something soulful, energizing, and deeply restorative, this is it. I can’t recommend it enough — thank you, Angie, for such a beautiful and unforgettable class! 🙏🧘‍♀️💖

I started yoga with Angie about 10 years ago at the Y and have followed her to various studios. Today I signed up for a private class with her at her Balance Yoga studio. We worked on the Great Yoga Wall and with the Feet-up trainer. Both were an amazing experience. Angie continues to be a dedicated coach and it’s obvious that yoga is her passion. Highly recommend her and her studio.

Angie is amazing! When I first started yoga, I felt sluggish, my lower back hurt all the time. My hips were just a mess. With adding yoga, I feel amazing, my body feels better. My hips and lower back feel a lot better since I started! I look forward to my weekly yoga class!

Angie has extensive training in YOGA and uses all her knowledge to improve the lives of her clients. She teaches classes on breathing, the importance of your foot and also puppy YOGA. I highly recommend you call Angie for any questions related to YOGA. If you are worried about not being able to keep up, she will show you adaptations you can make or even have you do the chair YOGA class. I have not even mentioned the YOGA wall, you need to go to her studio to learn more about it.

I’m here to say that my friend Angie taught me and fully educated me on how well she’s greatly knowledgeable on helping others with pain feel better! She has me come in due to my sciatic pain that I was feeling at a level of 5 out of 10 and once she had me do different things with my back legs and arms once I was done less than an hour I had no pain and still feel great. I truly appreciate her for showing but at the same time giving me such information on what to do so I can align my body!!

I have not been disappointed. She is very knowledgeable, not just about yoga, but has schooled herself in anatomy. She has such a passion for yoga, what it can do, and how she can share that.
The studio is very welcoming and friendly.

First class at Balance. I have been doing yoga regularly for about two years and am making a point to branch out to learn new practices. Received gift certificate from my instructor and used it for my first class at this studio. Many many new poses to master! I appreciate the emphasis on form for best results. I will continue to try out other modalities available at Balance Yoga! Thank you Angie for your expertise and training.

Balance Yoga has been my yoga home for the past 3 years. I never thought I would enjoy yoga as much as I do, especially with Balance Yoga's Yoga Wall - it is incredible! With the wall, I'm able to get into poses better, utilize my core better, and challenge myself with some of the fun ways to "fly." Angie Ryan, the owner, is a fantastic instructor, who can modify each pose for each person's need, which is extremely beneficial regardless of skill level. If you haven't loved your yoga experience, I highly recommend you give Balance Yoga a try. I think you'll pleasantly discover your yoga tribe!

Balance Yoga is an incredible place and Angie is an incredible person! Going to the studio and working with Angie is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The atmosphere is very laid back and welcoming. There is a great community of people all ages. Angie creates classes understanding that each individual is in a different stage of their yoga/health journey and she makes each class very accessible for all skill levels. Angie focuses on intuitive practice and works directly with each student to reach their own goals. This studio is not only about yoga. It’s about health, wellness, and community. Angie is extremely knowledgeable and is an excellent teacher. She cares deeply about her students and helps each person reach their goals. This studio is perfect for those who are beginners and experienced yogis. Anyone looking to step into yoga for the first time or wanting to be more intentional with their practice should check out Balance Yoga.

When I developed runner’s knee, a physician assistant recommended I begin a yoga routine. I didn’t follow her advice, in part because of a story shared by a fellow hiker on one of my national park adventures. The hiker, a retiree, regularly practiced yoga but constantly felt judged by those who were younger and more flexible. This story only reinforced my perception of those who practiced yoga. Three years later, I approached Angie at a health fair and how she spoke with me about yoga just clicked. We met, I joined, and I am hooked. Angie meets you where you are and helps everyone get to wherever they want to be. I look forward to my sessions every week. I have found the yoga educator (and studio) that I always needed.

I found Angie Ryan and Balance Yoga by chance and now it's obvious that it was meant to be! I've been struggling with ease of movement and in particularly hip and low back pain for several years but worse recently. My initial thought was how could I do "yoga" if I can't bend and flex and am in pain?? This is SO much more than what most people think yoga is. I take a Pain Away 1:1 class and it's changed so much for me! If you are willing to be a student of your body mechanics and put the time and effort into retraining your brain and muscles, Angie is the perfect partner! She is down to earth, completely genuine, in your corner, and extremely knowledgeable in the human body. She demonstrates, speaks in a way you can relate, and uses a fantastic app to show you the muscles and the mechanics so you can visualize what you are doing. If you are in pain or feel less flexible than before, invest in yourself and Balance Yoga--you won't be sorry!

If you are looking for a yoga studio, check out Balance Yoga! It’s a semi private studio and Angie Ryan is amazing. She knows yoga, anatomy, muscles, all the things! I came into her practice after finishing up physical therapy for my back, knee and shoulders. I was in pain..not sleeping well. 8 weeks later, I’m sleeping better, my pain issues are very infrequent, and my anxiety and stress are much better. It’s a peaceful practice I give to myself three times a week. Check out Balance Yoga and the amazing yoga wall!

I can't share enough positives about my first formal experience as a beginner in Yoga by Angie. I was searching for a physical therapy level practice with professional guidance. Angie is a natural at guiding entry-level, options to each pose and explaining the outcome we should receive. The knowledge I have received on "how and why" yoga can strengthen the body, reduce stress, and extend the bodies' abilities to its best for decades to come is an added bonus.
