My first Bikram yoga class was definitely challenging, but in the best way possible! Iβve struggled with getting quality sleep, but after the class, I slept so well that night which is something I rarely experience. The next day I woke up feeling incredibly rested and refreshed and it was a wonderful feeling. Canβt wait to go back for more! Highly recommend this for anyone looking to challenge themselves and improve their sleep.

I absolutely love this yoga studio! My practice has grown so much since I started coming here. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and kind, always making sure to guide you with care and attention. Every time I practice, I learn something new or go deeper into the postures, which has made a huge difference in my progress. The atmosphere is welcoming and supportive, making it easy to stay consistent and committed. Repetition and consistency really are the keys to success, and this studio truly fosters that mindset. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to deepen their practice!

Signed up for a class through ClassPass and they sprung a $10 "facility usage" fee on me. The woman at the front desk was super rude and kept implying that I lost the email that informed patrons of the fee & lied claiming the charge is listed on their ClassPass page/account; which it is not! She didn't even take the time to verify if what she was saying was accurate as I showed her.

Awful. Signed up for the 6:00 am class. Class description did not state it was pre-recorded. Description was updated after I complained. No refund given not even acknowledgment of having a deceptive class description. Bikram admitted all 6:00 am classes are pre-recorded and updated the description AFTER the fact I brought it up.

Bikram Yoga Chicago West Loop is the most consistent hot yoga studio in the city for 90 minute classes 3X day with the original dialogue, which I prefer.
The studio and shower facilities are spacious and clean. The teachers are absolutely first-rate!!!
Because Bikram yoga is so global, I've met people from all over the world at this studio! It always amazes me what a tight community we have!
I tried out other area yoga studios but found that most only featured hot yoga as a sideline to vinyasa, etc. -- it was not their main focus (only 3-4 classes each week & not at consistent times + most were only 60 minute classes). π
That didn't really work for me.
Practicing Bikram Yoga makes me feel *amazing!* If you are looking for a 26/2 studio in Chicago, I totally recommend Bikram Yoga Chicago West Loop!

I had a great experience at BYWL last night! I'm new to Chicago and have been teaching and practicing at a studio across town and hadn't had the chance to check out BYWL. As a 14 year Bikram Yoga practitioner I've practiced and taught classes in dozens of hot yoga studios. BYWL is definitely one of the best. The heat / humidity was excellent, the studio design and mirrors are great, the lobby is comfortable and classy... an all around classic Bikram Yoga school. I was there to take a class from traveling teacher, Laju Choudhury, which was a cool way to try this studio for the first time. I hope to take some classes with some of the rest of the BYWL teachers in the future. I definitely recommend taking a class here if you get the chance.

I have been coming here for weeks every morning but on the off chance I miss the morning class I try to pick up the one in the evening. I rode my bike 9 miles to get to todayβs class and happened to get stopped at more lights than usual. I was relieved when I got there and checked the time that it was still 5:29. I rushed to the elevator and hit the button for the third floor only to find they had already locked the elevator. I realize that class starts promptly at 5:30 but if youβre cutting people off before then there needs to be some kind of notice. It would be one thing if I lived down the street but I literally put in the investment to bike 40 minutes to get to this class just to have to bike back with nothing to show for it when I got there on time?!?! That is unacceptable and I will not be returning. Not only that but when I called the person who answered patronizingly told me that βbeing on time is part of the yoga practice.β I WAS ON TIME! This is infuriating.

I love BYWL! I used to practice Bikram yoga regularly in my 20s but life happened and got in the way which led me to abandon the practice for 10 yrs. After the longest hiatus, I decided to make time for Bikram again, and the 5:30AM class works out perfectly for me. I was a little intimidated to jump back in, but my fears and insecurities quickly went away upon walking into the space. All of the instructors are warm, welcoming, and encouraging. Even though Bikram yoga is intensely an independent practice, there is a sense of community here, and everyone is courteous to one another. The space is clean and the facility is well maintained. You will absolutely feel the heat and humidity that uniquely makes Bikram so bring your water bottle and get ready for a true physical, mental, spiritual transformation.

Writing reviews isnβt really my thing but this last year with such uncertainties due to pandamic when everyone else was scared and closed for business and I was adding weight like snow in Chicago(π°π§π»π ), I found bikram yoga Chicago on Adams Street that is owned and practiced passionately by Naveed, his dedication and his pro team members
commitment towards this place inspired me, Teachers were gone, students were missing in action, and streets were deserted. But Bikram Yoga was still hot and running everyday. I saw Navid and Mary dedicatedly practicing every day morning, where I had the pleasure of joining them, and then they were two classes a day to those enthusiasts who willing came to keep their practice alive.
This is perhaps where I place them a notch above else compared to studios and power gyms owned byΒ corporations where their interest comes first, and whereas here at Bikram, 'U' are the priority, loved their sessions and I'm pretty sure I will get back under my healthy skin in a month or 2, yup I'm pretty sure and u heard it right!!, all results vary by commitment ofcourse...cheers!!!!
Kudos to Naveed and team and much respect.
Thank you Bikram.

I joined BYWL a year ago when I moved to Chicago and it changed my life . I was scared to joined hot yoga before but the environment, the instructors make you want to do your best every class. I had a wrist surgery and have some hormonal issues for a while now , this practice helped me so much with that. Now I never want to stop practicing. For anyone wanting to give it a try , do it without thinking twice!! Great respect for Naveed, Mary , Junkie , Stephanie and all the wonderful teachers I got a chance take classes from.

I have been practicing at West Loop Bikram now for over two years. I remember walking in and being pretty intimidated with the idea of practicing Bikram, but I was greeted so warmly and welcomed into this studio in such a nurturing and caring manner, my intimidation quickly melted away. Naveed is the real dealβa teacher with great dedication and passion for the Bikram practice. The studio is at a great location in the West Loop, and the hot room is now better than ever with the addition of a second humidifier for spaceβfor prime practicing conditions! Great studio, great teachers, great space. Thanks for making my practice an awesome daily experience!

Will not recommend this studio because of some of the instructors. The instructor we encountered was completely unprofessional and rude. When we spoke to her about it she started name calling us. 2 stars for Instructor and owner Naveed. It must be my 25th or more class today. Instructor Naveed was rude to me in the class. I have a medical condition (weak bladder) because of which have to go to restroom frequently. I am aware of the class rule to not to leave in between. In respect of that, I already hold up my pee till the floor series began. I didnβt want to leave when the session is active and chose the time when everyone takes rest before the floor series. When I tried to leave, Naveed asked , already in a bit anger and impulse where I am headed and I mentioned restroom. On my return, he started giving me special instructions on how to do pose, calling out my name. I was paying attention to my breath and didn't hear his instructions. Thats when i heard βhow many Nancy are in this class β ? WTF was that ?! .
Dude, I am your customer, I pay for each class. You are not my parent or manager to talk to me like that. Its okay to correct poses as many time as you like but you can't get irritated and lose your cool with comments like "How many Nancy are in this class ?".
And if one has to chose a yoga teacher that they can click with, its a clear sign of a bad yoga teacher. No good yoga teacher talks like that.
This place and instructor Naveed got yoga concepts wrong for 2 reasons-
1. They have a message on reception desk which says βbe responsible for the energy you bring hereβ. But I ask instructors like Naveed, have you, the so-called master of yoga checked your energy that you give to your clients , your students ?
2. There is no hard and fast rule that can be imposed in yoga like donβt leave the class. You have to make exceptions for medical conditions. It is good to recommend to stay for full class but you cant impose it and then get angry if someone is leaving for a genuine reason.
I recommend 105F which also i have tried over the Bikram yoga in west loop.

I had a Bikram yoga practice many years ago when I lived in San Francisco and knew from things I was experiencing day to day that I needed to restart my practice. Bikram Yoga West Loop was very inviting. I restarted my practice there as a part of a cyber-Monday deal for unlimited classes over 10 days and, then, they let me continue as a new student with the New Student Special for unlimited classes for 30 days that really jump-started my practice. The teachers are all excellent and encouraging and want to see you succeed. Highly recommended!

BYWL is wonderful. After having done 15 classes, I can say I have enjoyed each instructor / experience. The venue is a cute, brick studio. Having very little experience with yoga prior to Bikram, I was initially apprehensive of jumping into classes with more experienced people. However, Iβve found that there are many experience levels in each class, and the instructors are amazing at guiding you through the poses. I initially joined the studio because I had been having back pain from poor posture the past few years. I feel amazing every time I finish a class. My back / neck pain, sleep, and mood have improved a good deal since joining (noticeablely so after each Bikram session). Bikram is a great workout, and the poses are very effective at counteracting the harm that constantly sitting at a desk does to your body :)

I have been a yoyo yogi in recent years. I enjoy hot yoga because I get instant relief from body aches and tightness. It also helps me fall asleep easier. Ever since trying West Loop Bikram Yoga, I have fell back in the rhythm of going 2-3 times per week and reaping all the benefits of hot yoga. The instructors are very accepting and encouraging regardless of the level in which you choose to practice on any given session. They are very good in demonstrating and excellent in breaking down steps so the student can get to the full expression of the posture. The facilities are basic, but maintained well - clean, stocked and organized (we donβt really come to yoga for the facilities though). I certainly appreciate how big the studio is, so much room to spread out and it is HOT. Thereβs street parking; it is also very walkable even for someone coming from the South Loop! Check them out!!

While I have practiced yoga for many years in the suburbs, I have only recently started practicing Bikram Yoga at BYWL. Although I am only a beginner, I love it! It is very different from a vinyasa class, but the proof is in the way you feel after taking a class at BYWL. It is truly amazing how quickly you begin to feel the benefits of the practice. And, while I am nowhere near proficient in all the poses, I feel encouraged for doing what I am able to do and I see the progress with each class. I have been mainly taking the 60-minute classes at lunch time and it is incredibly convenient to my office at the CME Building. I also like that Bikram is for every body. I have found the instructors to offer excellent instruction (within the structure and regimen that is one of the hallmarks of Bikram).

Although I have been practicing Bikram for a number of years, I have studio-jumped, due to my location as well as convenience within the city. When my "home" studio for a number of years closed, I took a hiatus from practicing. Recently I began coming to BYWL regularly and have really enjoyed their space and instructors; I leave each class feeling challenged and that I have learned something new. Although the parking situation can be slightly challenging for a downtown location it's very workable, and I look forward to deepening my relationship with Bikram and BYWL!

I have tried several studios here in Chicago and, all of them are good but, West Loop is my favorite!
The staff is very knowledgeable, professional and they make you feel welcome. If your new or if it's your first time trying Bikram Yoga you might be nervous but, the instructors will explain how the class goes going at your own pace, just going with the flow but, they also will push you to get to know how flexible and amazing your body can be, highlighting during the whole class all the benefits.
The facility is extremely clean, nice ambience. Some free parking spots around the area which is a big plus!
In general I'm very happy, I had never felt so energized, motivated, rejuvenated.

I can't describe the ambiance of this place enough to make you relish in it. It takes you beyond the skies. My first time there I was nervous as heck, but somehow Nazia, the yoga instructor on duty at that time assured me that all I had to do is relax and go with the flow and allow my body to adjust on its own. She told me to take my time with the poses. She explained what was to come and made me feel really comfortable. I approached my first class and afterwards I felt GREAT! As a beginner, and someone who was intimidated by the concept of hot yoga, I have to commend the instructors on making the Hot Yoga experience so incredible and approachable.
First, the facility is in an awesome loft space in the West Loop, which is easy to get to off the El lines (Clinton or just across the River from Quincy/Wells). The room itself is very inviting, great balance of feeling spacious but not distant. Probably one of the most unique studios I've been in.
Second, the instructors are terrific at setting a good pace through the routine. Everyone is able to make of it what they will, depending on level of experience, strength and stamina. Again, they deserve a kudos to striking a good balance.
For me, I was hooked after one go. If you want a deeply cleansing, invigorating and overall killer work out, try Bikram Hot Yoga in the West Loop.
If my mom could rock a work out, there is nothing stopping you!

Bikram Yoga West Loop is my favorite yoga studio in Chicago. First of all, the space is beautiful. The designer really did an amazing job creating a unique looking, inspiring studio. The hot room faces west towards the west loop and the windows bring in a nice golden light, especially around sunset. The rest of the studio space is very clean, including the modern bathrooms and spacious dressing rooms.
The instructors are incredibly nice people. I have taken classes with Nazia, James and Naveed so far and have really connected with all of them. They have a clear passion for their jobs and want their students to excel and enjoy the benefits of class, mind and body. It is a non-judgmental place. I have always left class feeling wonderful and feeling appreciated for my focus.
The location is really easy to get to from anywhere in the city. It's a great place for commuters who are near the loop, close to Union and Ogilvie station, not too far from the Quincy brown line, right off the 156 and Sedgwick busses for those coming from up North.
I am so happy to have a membership here. The teachers and the fellow students have I've met thus far have been really kind, inspiring people.
I highly recommend checking out Bikram Yoga West Loop!

I'd never tried bikram yoga before. I took advantage of a Gilt City discount to buy a 5-class pack here, and was a bit nervous going for my first class. But the instructors are very down-to-earth and approachable. In particular, I liked James and Elizabeth very much. The students in the classes have been almost all female, with a few men here and here. There is a wide variety of levels in each class so I never felt out of place as a beginner. It was easy to observe the more-advanced students and just follow along. The changing area is spacious and they have lockers where you can bring a padlock to secure your valuables. The room where the classes take place is carpeted and there are a few wall beams in odd places, so it's helpful to arrive a few minutes early to snag a good spot with good visibility.
